I don't want my country to descend completely into fascism, so I hate Biden for making that more likely to happen and I hate arab-americans for making that more likely to happen and I hate you for probably thinking it's funny and that we deserve it.
i don't know why you think i think any of this is funny or that you deserve it, but it fits into the mold you present that you are the real victim here, oppressed by palestinian-americans whose relatives are being bombed

Don’t You Know Who I Think I Am?
Fandom: Roswell, New Mexico
Characters: Rosa Ortecho, Alex Manes
A/N: I’m late, but it’s still yesterday somewhere! I don’t quite know what this is, and it’s angstier than I imagined, but you know me, I wing it.
This is for you, @suzteel! A little something for a very special person on her special day. Love & Hugs. Always. :)
—–
“The coast is clear, kid.” Alex tossed Rosa the keys to his truck and smirked at her scowl over the term of endearment.
She snatched the keys out of the air and climbed into the driver’s seat with ease. She stopped herself from telling him to move his ass.
He was more gracious than anyone when it came to her faux pas as she struggled to adjust to how different the world was around her now.
She never had to censor herself with him. They both were blunt and without filters, and it was one of the reasons she didn’t mind when he used to tag along behind her when he was a kid, or she was a kid, or they were kids, or something.
He was like the little brother she never wanted, but now, now she didn’t know how to see him. But of all the things she had to adjust to, he felt the most familiar and comfortable.
Emo rights or some shit. And even though the man she was cruising with wasn’t the same as the teen she knew before she was killed, he was still in there, somewhere.
“Stop calling me ‘kid.’ I don’t care what I look like, I’m still older than you,” she hissed.
It felt good to squeeze the steering wheel, let her dark hair whip around her as they picked up speed, nothing but desert ahead of them and Fall Out Boy blaring.
“Someone needs to tell Liz that too,” she bit at her thumb even though her nails were bitten down to the nubs. “She keeps mothering me.”
“In her defense, you do look 12,"Alex deadpanned.
"Fuck you,” she mumbled. She rolled her eyes when he chuckled low and deep.
She used to love his hearty laugh and big smile, and she hadn’t seen or heard either since she … returned. He was always haunted, but this time, it was for deeper reasons, and she didn’t know what to do with any of that.
Her thumbnail went to her mouth again. Ten years of being frozen in time meant she still had an oral fixation she couldn’t quit. She didn’t smoke. She stopped, but she needed …
She took her eyes off the road for a moment when she heard the rustling beside her. Alex had a candy bag in hand. He yanked out a couple of suckers, popped one in his mouth and handed her the other.
The sweet and tartness on her tongue triggered memories, but more importantly, it put her at ease.
“I’m told it helps,” he said stealing a look in her direction. She could feel him studying her intensely.
He always had a way of peering through a person, and somehow that skill was enhanced with time and age.
They sailed pass a billboard advertising legal aid specializing in immigration law. Her vision clouded over, dark specks belying her anger, and she internally counted backwards to ground herself.
“That persimmon pendejo is president, the planet is self-destructing … I come back from the dead, and it’s worse than hell,” she sighed.
She bit down on the sucker and tried to assuage the ball of anxiety bubbling up. She worried about her papi, and it was made worse by the fact that she couldn’t lay eyes on him.
She felt Alex studying her again, his intense gaze burning the side of her face until she couldn’t take it anymore.
She replayed the last few moments in hopes of pinpointing what set him off again. Then, “I didn’t go to hell,” she said quietly.
The small exhalation he let out was the only sign he gave her that it was his concern. She stole a glance his way.
His expression was as stoic as ever, but as usual, his eyes gave him away. He was terrified, but also relieved.
It was something they never spoke about in great detail, but it was something she knew he wondered about.
He didn’t speak of his own ghosts, but she sensed them the second she wrapped him into her arms again. He was haunted, whatever had taken place in the decade since she last saw him – war, loss – it weighed heavily on him.
“The last thing I remember is her – him, –it..” she squinted at the sun, busied herself snagging a pair of his sunglasses from the cupholder and shoving them on.
If she shielded her face she wouldn’t feel so exposed under his scrutiny.
“No worries, kid,” she tried to lighten the mood and mock him with the endearment. “If there is an afterlife, I don’t remember a second of it. I guess I haven’t paid for my sins yet,” she shrugged.
“So I can’t give you solace if you’re afraid about paying for yours.” She knew she struck a nerve when his eyes darted away.
“My sins are darker than yours, squirt.”
She let the attempt to get under her skin go.
“You’re a good person, cabron. I have known you your entire,” she shook her head and swore under her breath. “I have known you for most of your life. You’re one of the best people I’ve known. War or whatever else you’ve gotten yourself into over the past few years doesn’t change that. I know your heart, bro. ”
“Bro?” He scoffed. It was a misdirect as he choked back the emotion that rose in his throat.
She didn’t respond, merely pulled over at one of her favorite spots. There were a different set of caves, and they always brought her peace or something akin to it.
It was different than what she remembered. Everything was different than she remembered.
“I thought when I was gone things would be better.” She reached across the seat snagging another sucker and popped it in her mouth.
“I mean, I didn’t plan on,” she felt his dark eyes boring into her face again searching, always searching. “I planned on leaving, before I died, I planned on leaving.”
“I thought that when I was gone things would be better for the people I care about. But even my death caused more harm for those who gave a shit, and even in my absence things fell apart,” she picked at her nail and stared off into the distance, the wind making flyaway hair dance within her line of sight.
“I would have at least hoped my death mattered. That if I had to die, at least it meant something, but catching up on everything has taught me that it was meaningless.”
She tossed the half-eaten sucker out the window. It no longer gave her the satisfaction it did before.
“Liz still came back to this place. She should have stayed away, but she came back, and look at what she’s in? All I wanted is for her to be free of this place, and she’s right back here heart deep in alien shit.”
“She did get away, Rosa,” Alex reached out and tentatively touched her hand.
“She traveled. She completed her list. She went to school and pursued the career she wanted,” he rested his head on the back of the seat, and it was the most relaxed he looked in a while.
“Maria didn’t get to follow her dreams. She wanted out of here, and now it’s ten years later, and she’s still stuck behind a bar trying to make ends meet and taking care of Mimi. Christ, there’s nothing fair about that.”
“Life happens, Rosa,” Alex sighed. Whether he was unfazed or resigned, she couldn’t tell.
“Yeah, I know. And death,” she closed her eyes and turned her face up toward the sun.
“My papi could be put in a damn cage like an animal at any moment, and my birth father is dead. So many questions left unanswered.”
“I still can’t believe you and Kyle are related,” Alex chuckled. “It actually makes sense now though.”
“I’m being serious here and you’re deflecting with jokes? Typical. And Kyle and I are nothing alike.”
“He was an asshole in high school. It’s true, but he’s a good man. You should try getting to know your big-little brother better.”
“You used to be my favorite and now I’m reconsidering my position on that,” she shoved him, and he laughed like he did when he was young, gangly, and unburdened.
“Easy there, Valenti.” It earned him another shove until they both were laughing.
“That was easy. I’m saving the real hurting for the Valenti with a dick. I swear if he brings me another teen magazine, I’m going to gauge his eyes out.”
“See? You’re acting like siblings already. You have obnoxious little sister in the bag.”
“First of all, it’s big sister. Second, you and Kyle can kiss my ass,” she said it with heat, but Alex’s bemused expression made her smirk against her better judgment.
“Kyle is, annoyingly perfect, but it’s going to take a while. It’s going to take longer if he treats me like one of his teen patients.”
“Yeah, that has more to do with Kyle than you, I promise.”
“I would thank you for being the only one who isn’t treating me differently, or like a child, but I would hate for it to go to your head.”
He flashed her one of the first genuine smiles she saw since she reunited with him. “Too late, Rosa. I already know I’m your favorite.”
The laughter in his eyes warmed her heart. Alex was so guarded with everyone else. They didn’t think she picked up on these things, but she did.
“And then there’s you. Finding out you enlisted …”
His smile vanished as quickly as it came, and she damn near saw the walls go up. “You think I’m a poser.”
“I think you’re a survivor,” she said instantly without thought. She didn’t have to think about it because it was true.
“I just hate you had to lose pieces of yourself to prove something to that dickwad dad of yours.”
Alex averted his eyes, and suddenly he was 14 again, and Rosa was reading through him like no one else could.
“Maybe no one else will point it out, but that’s what happened. And I hate that for you. I hate that you didn’t get to follow the path you chose for yourself instead of his,” she spewed. Her heart raced with anger and guilt.
She knew the odds of her being alive wouldn’t have changed some of the outcomes, but she was just enough of a masochist to think maybe if she were around she could have.
Her eyes flickered to his. Both sets glassy with unshed tears and emotion they withheld as if their lives depended on it.
Maybe both of them realized a long time ago that sometimes their lives did.
“But I’m living proof it’s never too late to find yourself. I’m getting a second chance I never expected to…” she released a puff of air and grabbed Alex’s chin.
It was strong and firm, the stubble prickled her skin, and it was a far cry from the last time she had done it.
“I still see him in there. The darkness you’re afraid has consumed you, it hasn’t beaten him out. Remember? That’s a strong ass guy who could take a beating. And now he can kick ass too.” Her sly grin made him return one in kind.
“He’s still there, just stronger and older. And you gotta stop hiding him away. I’m not the only one who was resurrected. That part of you is trying to come back too. Let him. You’ll be much happier with it.”
He sniffled, swallowing back emotions again, and she raised her brow but didn’t say anything.
“Are you done, obi-wan kenobi?”
“God, you’re still on that Star Wars shit?” She snorted. “See? Still a dork.”
“This is why I love you more than your brother,” he joked.
“Fair,” she quipped. “But I’m serious Alex.”
He sighed. “I know. All the things you could do now, and you’re trying to fix me?”
“Well, you’re not irrevocably broken, just a little lost,” she tangled her fingers with his. “We both are.”
“I can’t fix any of the other shit with Liz, or my father, or Maria and Mimi, but your shit can be fixed, and I can help you. I’m not afraid of the dark, and we both need to find the light.”
He snorted at her cheesiness, but accepted it for what it was. For the first time in years, he felt seen again.“We do like that dark shit.”
“Damn right we do.”
She hooked her pinky with his and had a flashback to warm summer nights painting each other’s nails black and listening to the latest obscure band.
She wouldn’t mention the occasional bruise blooming on skin hidden away, and he wouldn’t comment on how twitchy she was for her next fix, but the camaraderie in those moments sustained them.
He popped his sucker in his mouth and smiled at the gesture. She imagined he was recalling those nights too.
“You’re good at that,” she nodded at the sugary treat in his mouth. “Lotta practice over the years?” She asked suggestively.
She was pleased with herself when his face went red and he nearly choked.
“You’re as bad as Maria and twice as crude,” he sputtered.
“Some things never change then,” she started the truck back up. “You don’t have to tell me now. You can tell me when we get there.”
“Um, get where?” He stiffened in his seat and narrowed his eyes sensing she was up to no good.“ Get where, Rosa?”
She tossed her bag into his lap and shot him a mischievous grin. It grew wider when he swore profusely as he pulled out the assortment of spray cans.
Her fingers were itching to create something, and it felt like forever since she tagged something, made art, left pieces of herself she had control over somewhere – left the mark she wanted and not the one chosen for her.
For her, it was a release she had been craving, but for him it would be a walk down memory lane to the days when he would occasionally play look out.
“So what do you say, Sergeant?” Her voice took a conspiratorial tone. “Are you in or are you going to chicken out on me?”
His face was unreadable for a moment, but then there was that familiar light in his eyes.
“Fuck it. Why not?”
She threw her head back and laughed, and he turned the music up as they sped down the highway.

If, I were President of the United States. (I just wanna state I’m not a democrat or republican)
First I’d enforce Quarantine and extend it. I’d also attend the poorest families or individuals first and provide them with the financial assistance they need. People are struggling hard enough as it is living paycheck to paycheck.
Second I’d shut down the schools as I believe safty more important especially for the future kids who will rule this place. I also don’t like how schools give so much homework and stress. They just condition kids into beleiving working 40 hours a week is normal and that you should be lucky to have weekends. Staying in classes all day then returning home only to be forced to complete more homework that takes up time and robs them of social interactions. These schools don’t even test knowledge. They test obedience and reward them for being quiet little slaves that will slowly become a “regular worker.” They really don’t care about how smart you are, they test memory over all else, when they study a subject and pass the test they move on quickly to the next one stressing them out. If they failed the test, to bad they’re still moving on with you. (Sorry this got way of topic. I just hate how schools operate and also how low they pay the teachers)
Third I would dismantle the police force and create a new one. A better one that focuses on real problems like sex trafficking and drugs. All the horrible crimes that are allowed to fly under the radar. Any excessive use of force would be heavily punished. Fired, fined and jail time. No shooting at peaceful protesters, seriously dafaq is wrong with them unleashing hell upon unarmed civilians and sneaking in rioters to escalate it to justify the force.
Fourth, gold is a finite resource. Pretty much all the money you’ve ever spent is fake, all digital backed by nothing. Personally I hate it but you’ve all becomes achstomed to it so I would attempt to fix the economy so people can afford essential things, like homes and food. Instead of kicking out homeless people Id build shelters. They make it to easy to fall down into poverty and nearly impossible to climb back up. Once you’ve been arrested, once you’ve been homeless, you understand the struggle of trying to reintergrate with society. The easiest path become the dark one. I would attempt to control the population, America is a gigantic habitat and likewise it has a carrying capacity. If you’re gonna argue people have to pay unreasonable amounts of money for food you’re crazy.
Immigrants are definitely allowed as long as they follow the rules and don’t commit crimes. America was litterally founded on immigrants. American stole land from the natives violently and even managed to capture Hawaii, which was its own nation. They taxed us and recognized us as a small power. Iolani Palace has electricity flush toilets and even phones before the White House did. Queen Lili’uokalani signed in duress. It horrible and sheforfeited her whole kingdom in exchange for the people, as a leader should. The people make a country, the government already should put the people first. Without all the hardworking Americans working, there is no country.
We don’t serve the government. As a government worker we serve the people. It’s our duty to ensure everybody is treated fairly. To make sure everybody that we oversee has the essentials for life, a home and food.
And for LGBT rights. I personally don’t care what the heck they do. Love is love, let it be. They can chose to identify as whoever they want and pursue relationships with whoever. You can’t force things onto people. America is supposed to be freedom personified, we can chose to do as we please as long as we don’t bring harm to others. Those camps are wrong. America is also religion free, you can be whatever you want, Christian Muslim, litterally anything. Being a satanist is totally legal as long as you don’t hurt anything. Believe in what you want and don’t force it on others. Gay people are amazing! We all are, were all human and we can change and create change. We are all human at the core and we always have been. We have a right to love, and to be loved by all around us. Love is love, let it be, theres always been love. I can identify as a man or woman, and I can damn well love either as I please as long it’s reciprocated. I’d always rather say I love you too much then not enough.
Climate change is real. The pollution of those stupidly large companies is also VERY real. As an individual you contribute less than a percent of the actual pollution, it’s literally the big corporations. That needs to stop. I’m not exactly sure how but I AM GOING to start a wave of change that will benefit the worlds health. We all live here. This is not political, I don’t have time for games, scientists that have studied their whole lives are begging for us to change. We can all have solar electricity farms and then it’d be FREE. “But you can’t charge people for that you can’t make money.” I’m NOT TRYING TO MAKE MONEY I DO NOT CARE ANOUT MONEY. IM AIMING FOR SOMETHING BIGGER THAN GREED THE BETTERMENT OF HUMANITY. I don’t care about ruining electric companies and other random fossil fuels bullshits that will run out, I want the future to be bright!
Screw it im going off the rails, schools main courses should focus on stuff like self sustainment, like farming and wilderness survival. Creativity because that’s the most human thing about us! Empathy basic Psychology. Kids can get mad they should learn and understand why. Understand why they feel the feelings they feel and giving them all better emotional control. EMPATHY. They need to learn things like taxes since they’re such a big part. Also why the heck are taxes so complicated. It’s just targeting the illiterate foreigners and immigrants who struggle and try to understand it and I believe that’s horrible. Make it easier to become apart of America the land of freedom and the getaway from the crueler areas of earth. Maybe just limit the population. Also seriously fuck off with taxes! Why the hell are you charging and taxing 14 year olds that aren’t allowed to vote, thats taxation without representation.
Taxes should be like Mario kart and Ancient Greece. Quote from some thing I googled
“The philosopher Aristotle developed the theme. His "magnificent man" gave vast sums to the community. But poor men could never be "magnificent" because they did not have the financial means. True wealth consists in doing good, Aristotle argued in the Art of Rhetoric: in handing out money and gifts, and helping others to maintain an existence.
The idea is simple the higher up you are on the financial ladder the more you have to pay taxes and contribute to society. The large taxes from the rich help fund financial aid for the poor and stuff. The rich did not earn that money they climbed to top on top a mountain of millions of shortcuts and underpaid workers It should be an honor to be taxed and help the poor people survive. Like in Mario kart, the higher you’re placed the harder it is to maintain it and the last place people always get the better power ups giving them a constant fighting chance. At most I believe wealth should be hoarded to sustain like one generation of kids, two at the most. Maybe three but theres no reason anybody should have all that money that your never going to spend or all that money that becomes worthless once a war or breaks out or aliens attack or something. Life is more important than money. Something simple everyone should consider.
I think everybody should be able to pursue a career and each career should be sustainable. Enjoyment in a job of your choosing without worrying about financial burden. Jobs would be divided into smaller simple groups and the pay would based on their contribution to society. Like doctors getting paid more and getting teachers paid more, but small retailers wouldn’t get paid as much but they could survive not living paycheck to paycheck. The motivation is everybody should free to pursue the hobby they love without being punished. Maybe little Timmy doesn’t want to be a firefighter, maybe he desires a simple fun life selling flowers. That’s fine! Maybe they don’t wanna become the hero but it’ll be an honor to society. As long as you have a job that contributes to society you can live for free. If everybody is constantly trying to make the most profit, then we all become a bucket of crabs dragging each other down. I can’t sell my $10 good that costed me $2 to make. Also the whole buy back thing irritates me, I spent $60 on this goddamn game and GameStop can only give me like $10 in store credit or $5 in real life? That’s isn’t fair and that applies to pretty much everything. That’s $1000 phone you bought is barley worth $357 right now. I’m pretty sure it didn’t cost that much to make these things but like DAMN. Capitalism sucks.
In summary, I don’t know much about politics but I would be the human party. I don’t care about left or right. I’m the one that doesn’t care about money. I care more about life and creativity. Peoples right to enjoyment and living a happy life with others regardless of gender. Survival of the human race and advancement into the future where more things are free and we can constantly focus on creating an even BETTER one. We can’t go anywhere without each other especially if we’re all just a bucket of crabs. To greedy and self destructive constantly looking out only for themselves. Seriously get your act together humans before you kickstart your own downfall. If we’re all trying to make a profit, nobody does. The best things in life are free. You can pursue wealth for your future or you can focus and live and enjoy and love the now. Mario kart style, where all in this race for life and we all deserve a winning chance.

Discovering the Alamo Mission in San Antonio: TheStory Behind The History
Whether you picked it up from history class, timely cinematic references, or just through social osmosis, almost everyone out there has at least heard of the Alamo. Or, how it was once called, the “Mision San Antonio de Valero.”
Originally a Spanish mission and fortress compound founded in the 18th century - in what is now San Antonio, Texas. The Alamo Mission in San Antonio would eventually become the stage of the renown “Battle of the Alamo" on March 6, 1836.
Today, it stands as part of the San Antonio Missions World Heritage site. But in between, the location has seen a lot of history, events, and interesting historical figures. So, let's delve a little deeper into the Alamo's background and explore some of them!
The Alamo Mission in San Antonio – A Brief Timeline
Back in 1716, the Spanish established several Roman Catholic missions in East Texas, but they were so isolated that they have difficulty keeping adequately provisioned. To help the situation, Martín de Alarcón – governor of Spanish Texas back then – set out to establish a waystation between the settlements along the Rio Grande and the new missions in East Texas.
Two years later, in April 1718, Alarcón led an expedition to found a new community in Texas. On May 1, the group erected a temporary mud, brush, and straw structure that would be the first to bear the name “Mision San Antonio de Valero.” One of several Spanish missions in Texas.
Within the year, that mission had moved to the western bank of the river to avoid flooding, and it kept growing over the years with new missions being established nearby. Then, in 1724, after remnants of a Gulf Coast hurricane destroyed the then existing structures at Mision San Antonio de Valero, it was moved to its current location.
For decades the complex kept expanding, and the first permanent building was likely the two-story, L-shaped stone residence for the priests. By 1744, over 300 Indian converts resided at the Mision San Antonio de Valero.
That same year, the first stones were laid for a more permanent church building, but that would collapse in late 1750. The reconstruction would not begin until eight years later.
The mission kept expanding between that period and was built to withstand attacks by Apache and Comanche raiders, something it would have to do before long. In 1745, 100 mission Indians successfully drove off a band of 300 Apaches, which had surrounded the presidio. Their actions saved the presidio, the mission, and likely the town from destruction.
Walls were erected around the Indian homes in 1758, likely in response to a massacre at the Mission Santa Cruz de San Sabá. For additional protection, a turret housing three cannon was added near the main gate in 1762, and by 1793, an additional one-pounder cannon had been placed on a rampart near the convent.
Eventually, Teodoro de Croix – commandant general of the interior provinces – decided the missions were a liability and began taking actions to decrease their influence. In 1778, he ruled that all unbranded cattle belonged to the government, resulting in a great loss of wealth for the mission. Unable to support a larger population of converts, only 12 Indians remained by 1793
In 1793, Misión San Antonio de Valero was secularized and was shortly after abandoned.
The name “The Alamo” was adopted in the 19th century. In 1803, the abandoned compound was occupied by the Second Flying Company of San Carlos de Parras, from Álamo de Parras in Coahuila, which the locals took to simply calling the "Alamo Company."
The buildings were transferred from Spanish to Mexican control in 1821 after Mexico gained its independence, and soldiers continued to garrison the complex until December 1835, when General Martín Perfecto de Cos surrendered to Texian forces.
One year later, on March 6, 1836, the fabled "Battle of the Alamo” would take place.
The Alamo Mission in San Antonio – A Battle for History
The Battle of the Alamo took place between February 23 and March 6, 1836, and was a pivotal event in the Texas Revolution.
After a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under President General Antonio López de Santa Anna reclaimed the Alamo in San Antonio de Béxar - Killing the Texian and immigrant occupiers. Santa Anna's cruelty during the battle would inspire many Texians, both legal Texas settlers and illegal immigrants from the United States, to join the Texian Army.
The Texians would defeat the Mexican army at the Battle of San Jacinto on April 21, 1836. But the battle of the alamo would take place a few months before.
After driving all Mexican troops out of Mexican Texas, about 100 Texians were then garrisoned at the Alamo. The Texian force grew slightly with the arrival of reinforcements led by eventual Alamo co-commanders James Bowie and William B. Travis. This was the stage of the battle that was going to make the Alamo Mission in San Antonio famous, and eventually would be recognized as the San Antonio Missions World Heritage Site.
On February 23, approximately 1,500 Mexicans marched into San Antonio de Béxar as the first step in a campaign to retake Texas. For the next ten days, the two armies engaged in several skirmishes with minimal casualties. Aware that his garrison could not withstand an attack by such a large force, Travis wrote multiple letters pleading for more men and supplies from Texas and from the United States, but the Texians were reinforced by fewer than 100 men because the United States had a treaty with Mexico, and supplying men and weapons would have been an overt act of war.
In the early morning hours of March 6, the Mexican Army advanced on the Alamo. After repelling two attacks, the Texians were unable to fend off a third one. As Mexican soldiers scaled the walls, most of the Texian fighters withdrew into the interior buildings. Occupiers unable to reach these points were slain by the Mexican cavalry as they attempted to escape.
The bloodshed was enormous. Between five and seven Texians may have surrendered; if so, they were quickly executed. Most eyewitness accounts reported between 182 and 257 Texians died, while most historians of the Alamo agree that around 600 Mexicans were killed or wounded.
Several noncombatants were sent to Gonzales to spread the word of the Texian defeat. The news sparked both a strong rush to join the Texian army and a panic, known as "The Runaway Scrape," in which the Texian army, most settlers, and the new, self-proclaimed but officially unrecognized, Republic of Texas government fled eastward toward the United States ahead of the advancing Mexican Army.
Within Mexico, the battle has often been overshadowed by events from the Mexican–American War of 1846–48.
In 19th-century Texas, the Alamo complex gradually became known as a battle site rather than a former mission. The Texas Legislature purchased the land and buildings in the early part of the 20th century and designated the Alamo chapel as an official Texas State Shrine.
The event that took place in the Alamo in San Antonio, the renowned "Battle of the Alamo," has since inspired many works of fiction and non-fiction, due to its historical significance.
The Alamo Mission in San Antonio – Protecting the Legacy
During the next half a decade, the Alamo Mission in San Antonio was sporadically used to garrison soldiers from both the Texian and Mexican armies, but it was ultimately abandoned.
In 1849 – after Texas was annexed to the United States – the U.S. Army began renting the facility for use as a quartermaster's depot. However, by 1876, the Alamo was abandoned once more, once the nearby Fort Sam Houston was established.
The Alamo chapel was eventually sold to the state of Texas, which conducted occasional tours but made no effort to restore it. The remaining buildings were sold to a mercantile company which operated them as a wholesale grocery store.
Then, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) formed in 1895 and began trying to preserve the historical significance of the Alamo Mission in San Antonio. Ten years later, due to the efforts of Adina Emilia De Zavala and Clara Driscoll, the state legislature was convinced to purchase the remaining buildings and to name the DRT as the permanent custodian of the site.
Emilia De Zavala, Clara Driscoll, and the Importance of Preserving History
Adina Emilia De Zavala (November 28, 1861 – March 1, 1955) was an American teacher, historian, and preservationist of Texas history. Clara Driscoll (April 2, 1881 – July 17, 1945), was a Texas-born businesswoman, philanthropist, and historic preservationist.
Together, these two great women were instrumental in the preservation of The Alamo in San Antonio.
With the Mision San Antonio de Valero and others like it falling in disrepair by late 1880, it was clear that these iconic buildings wouldn't last much longer if something wasn't done. In 1887, Emilia de Zavala formed the "De Zavala Daughters” an organization dedicated to preserving and marking Texas history. Shortly after, the organization changed its name and became a chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
In 1903, Adina Emilia De Zavala enlisted Clara Driscoll to join the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and chair the De Zavala fundraising committee to negotiate the purchase of the long barracks. A brilliant decision that secured the fate of the perseveration of the Alamo Mission in San Antonio.
With Clara Driscoll backing, just two years later, on January 26, 1905, Governor S.W.T Lanham signed legislation for state funding to preserve the Alamo property. And the rest, as they say, is history.
The Alamo in San Antonio, Today
The church of the Alamo stands today inside the restored ruins of the original mission walls. It’s a beautiful white stone whose iconic façade is brimming with breathtaking stonework. Looking just as it did back over 170 years back.
It’s a spending display of masonry of the period — four feet thick, 75 long, 62 wide, and 22 and a half feet high. The chapel's cruciform shape encases a baptistery, a confessional, and a sacristy.
The Alamo Mission in San Antonio has seen plenty of restorations over its long history, and while some of the original building didn't survive until today, what did is impressive. The chapel enjoys a metal roof dating from a hundred years back, thanks to the Daughters of the Republic of Texas – who also replaced the woodwork of the side and rear doors, and the windows.
The church, however, is not the only building that has seen restoration and remains until today.
Two of the living quarters in the Alamo can be visited, and a portion of the acequias that fed the mission and village field was preserved in 1968 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Located right in the center of downtown San Antonio, the once “Mision San Antonio de Valero” is open to the public all through the year. And as the most famous of the Spanish missions in Texas, The Alamo in San Antonio is definitely worth your while!
The complex includes the buildings, exhibits on Texas history, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Library, the museum shop, and gardens. Moreover, the chapel holds a collection of historical paintings and artifacts from Texan history.
You can always find history talks and tours for the public, and other San Antonio missions can be found nearby. If you are nearby, you should definitively scratch visiting “San Antonio Missions World Heritage Sites” from your tourist list!

Raices & Resistance: The Liner Notes
Raices & Resistance: The Brown Sounds of L.A. 2000-2010
There are sometimes fortuitous moments when the spotlight on music falls in just the right place at just the right time: New Orleans during the 1920s, San Francisco in the Age of Aquarius, or Seattle in the Grunge Era. Each moment different, but equally a watershed. Then, there are also the times and places where the seeds of genius are budding all around, but those pioneers of the day are ahead of their time, or they simply don’t get the financial or promotional watering that they need to flourish. Think of New York’s Jazz scene during WWII, or the American pioneers of Punk Rock in the early 70’s. Those eras are the ones that are most akin to what happened in L.A.’s Latin music scene of the 2000s.
At the end of the 90’s, Ozomatli had gained much deserved recognition with the release of their eponymously titled debut album in 1998, and it seemed as if the spotlight was about to fall on the Latin music community right when it was in the beginning of a renaissance. Yet, when the new millennium came, times were tough everywhere, and nowhere could this be more clearly seen than in the music industry. Internet platforms like Napster made free online music downloads ready for the masses, and caused the industry’s near collapse. MySpace emerged as the first social media platform for new musicians to connect with audiences, but it lacked the reach of today’s YouTube and Facebook. As the L.A. Times noted in 2004, “Major multinational labels, struggling with an economic downturn, are reluctant to invest what it takes to break new acts, especially in a genre (like Latin Alternative) that gets little airplay and needs significant label support.”
By the 20teens, things were looking very different as the music industry had reinvented itself (albeit with missing limbs and less money in the bank), and it had again turned its eye toward the L.A. Latino music community with Grammys handed out to Quetzal and La Santa Cecilia. The buzz of L.A.’s Latin talent was spreading to audiences in the U.S.’s Spanish speaking communities, so as the economy began to resurge, bands were having an easier time with self-marketing, tours, and album sales.
So who was there during this creative explosion of L.A.’s Latin music community of the 2000s? And what were the common threads running through this musical tapestry? These are important elements to consider when creating a title for this compilation, and the diversity of the scene made this a difficult task. Not all of the artists were rock. Most sang in both English and Spanish. A couple of them only sang in Spanish. Most had roots in local community oriented civil rights activism, but not all. Hmmm. Simple, yet complex. Despite the eclectic range of all these artists combined, they were (or still are) a close knit group of musicians: a musical community. For example, I don’t know all of them personally, but I know that there is no more than one degree of separation between me and any of the artists on this compilation.
There were community centers and connections like the L.A.C.E.R. after school arts program where many of the artists on this compilation worked and met. There was Tia Chucha’s, Smoke N Mirrors, S.P.A.R.C., Casa 0101, KillRadio.Org, KPFK and others. The abuelita of them all? Self-Help Graphics. These cultural centers gave a platform for artists in the community, and deserve credit for fostering the incredible music that continues to emerge from the Latin community. The EZLN movement in Chiapas was still fresh in peoples’ minds in the 2000s, and it fostered things, too. It was a revolutionary inspiration in the face of the post 911 America when gentrification began to sweep through the eastside of L.A., and The South Central Farmers were forced off their land to make way for so called “progress.” Bush was president, the country went to war under false pretenses, and we forged a spirit of resistance for new immigrants, Indigenous peoples, urban gardening, art, love, peace, and understanding. Some things change. Some don’t.
By the 20teens, in the wake of the creative explosion that happened during the 2000s, came a time when the spotlight came back around to this same community with Grammys given to Quetzal and La Santa Cecilia. Latin Electronica game to be included under the larger category of Global Bass. The rise of Subsuelo also came, along with the rising careers of artists like Captain Planet, Rafi El, Buyepongo, Las Cafeteras, The Boogaloo Assassins, and more. My ultimate hope is that we can all see the debt owed to these pioneers of the 2000s, and that we never forget their musical legacy. With 60 million Latinos living in the United States in 2020, the audience for this music ain’t going no where!
Note: I know some of you out there will be disappointed in the selections I made, and that’s okay. We can only see things from our own perspective and the experiences that inform it., These are the artists that I experienced, and this is just a sampling of some of my favorite songs. If Menoman or Mark Torres did this, you’d probably get a totally different angle. Also, know that I did my best to research all of the artists and tracks listed here, but sometimes that information was not available. In those instances, I had to employ my imperfect memory. You can post a comment to let me know corrections that should be made, or share out who think I should have also included (but remember, only artists with releases during the 2000s).
Agave Ocotillo (Fósforo - Even The Sun 2005): The trio consisted of three high school friends that grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Proving themselves to be beyond the scope of their peers in both musical and lyrical range, Fósforó penned their sound as Punky Reggae Jungle. Playing with rhythms such as Reggae, Jungle, Drum-n-Bass, Cumbia, Rock and more, vocalist/songwriter Rafi B. of Argentinian and Israeli descent, also sang in English, Spanish and Hebrew. Fósforo would forge an alliance with L.A.’s other Latin Electronica pioneers: Mezklah. Rafi B. would later become DJ/Producer Rafi El for the Dutty Artz label while Cesar Ventura would become a percussionist for the Fania label’s Boogaloo Assassins. The song featured here is a poetic homage to the enduring strength of “La Raza.”
Crazy Baldheads (Quinto Sol - Barrio Roots 2003): The name “Quinto Sol” is Spanish for the “fifth sun,” and it is a reference to the Aztec myth of creation and destruction. The band got their start in 1994, but Barrio Roots was their first full-length album release. Quinto Sol has intimately connected themselves to the Chicano Civil Rights Movement, and they have used Roots Reggae as a vehicle to delve into their own Meztizo roots. Their latest album, Spirits of the Martyrs, was released in 2014.
Chango AraÑa (Mezklah - Spider Monkey 2005): Making their stage debut in 2000, Mezklah emerged as the first Latin Electronica band in North America. Borrowing music from around the globe, singer/songwriter Angel Garcia and guitarist Greg Hernandez forged a sound that was Spanish/Bilingual, but completely different from their contemporaries. They crafted bass heavy electronic rhythms to fuse Cuban Son, Reggae, Drum-n-Bass, Blues, Hard Rock, Psychedelia, Cumbia and more into tightly structured and hook filled socially conscious pop songs ready for the dancefloor. In 2004, they were nominated by L.A. Weekly as the city’s best World Music/Recombinant Artist, and in 2005, they won L.A.’s Battle of The Bands. After one album and an EP, as well as tours in Mexico and the Southwest, Europe and Japan, Mezklah disbanded in 2010. They announced their reformation on KPTZ 91.9 FM in December, 2019. A new album is expected in 2020.
Cumbia de la Flor (East L.A. Sabor Factory - Party At Louie’s 2002): Headed up by frontman Ricky Ray Rivera, the trajectory of East L.A. Sabor Factory was straight up when they first appeared on the scene 1999, but unfortunately, their momentum didn’t carry them far enough. They changed their name after the release of Party At Louie’s, and broke apart shortly thereafter. This track captures the danceable high energy of the band and was a crowd favorite when they played live, but doesn’t feature Rivera’s bilingual rapping. In 2007, Rivera would go on to release a solo album titled Neighborhood Fame.
Nada Mio Es Fake (Los Abandoned - Mix Tape 2006):  No other artist arising in L.A.’s bilingual music community seemed like such a clear bet to wear the glass slipper of success as Los Abandoned. They were sharing the stage with the likes of Café Tacuba, The Breeders, Julieta Venegas, Molotov, and Aterciopelados, and they signed with Neil Young’s Vapor Records in 2005. They released a Christmas single and two EPs before releasing Mix Tape as their first full length album in 2006. The critics loved them, their songs were catchy (the pop song I’m featuring here was not even one of their released singles), and they had a sexy singer. Vocalist Lady P. (Pilar Diaz of Chilean descent) was the primary creative force behind Los Abandoned, and just as their success was in full bloom, she called it quits in 2007. Lady P. has since released two solo albums under the name Maria del Pilar.
Trouble In My Soul (Mexican Dubwiser - Revolution Radio 2010): Before becoming a superstar DJ/Producer duo with Kinky’s Ulises Lozano, Marcelo Tijerina was solo stepping on L.A. as a transplant from Montery Mexico’s Avanzada Regio music scene. This version of the Trouble In My Soul single features San Francisco DJ/Producer Romanowski.
Luna Negra (Olmeca w/Los Cojolites - Self Release 2005): Olmeca should be recognized as one of the hardest working music artists in the Chicano music scene. Placing himself in the same corner as Hip-Hop elder KRS-One, he identifies himself as a music artist, activist, and scholar. In 1999, he joined L.A. band Slowrider. After their 2003 album Historias En Revisión, he stepped out as a solo artist. He has gone on release several albums (including 2019’s Define), toured universities as a guest lecturer, and he is currently faculty at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in the Interdisciplinary Gender and Ethnic Studies Department. Los Cojolites are a Son Jarocho group from the Mexican state of Veracruz that is often noted for their candid social commentary.
Jarocho Elegua (Quetzal - Sing The Real 2002): Formed by guitarist Quetzal Flores in 1992, the band Quetzal released their eponymously titled debut album in 1998 after vocalist Martha Gonzalez joined the band. Continually fusing social activism with music, Quetzal has received accolades from the world of scholars and activists, as well as receiving the 2013 Grammy for Best Latin Pop, Rock, or Urban Album for their release of Imaginaries.
No Me Te Pido Mas (Domingo Siete - Quitate La Mascara 2005): Martha Gonzalez is not the only one in her family to possess musical talent. Her brother Gabriel Tenorio did just fine for himself as the singer/song-writer/guitarist for Domingo Siete. They toured Europe, they shared the stage with Los Lobos, Cheryl Crow, & Ozomatli, and they released two full length albums. Dame might have been the single that Gabriel would want me to highlight, but this one was always my favorite.
Cuenten Lo (Pe Ere - Demo Collaboration w/producer Rafi Benjamin of Fósforó 2006): Pe Ere was most often seen performing as a duo with Pantera. The two were immigrants from Nigaragua with a passion for Reggaeton. Pe Ere demonstrated great stage presence during his time in the scene, and this song reflects that he was not afraid to try new innovative sounds, but his run was too short. Where are you now, P.R.?
La Sirena (Beatriz Torres - La Sirena E.P. 2002): Produced by her soon to be husband, Angel Garcia of Mezklah fame, this song and E.P. reflect a vibrant new take on Trip-Hop from a Chicana perspective. Torres’ performances incorporated both poetry and performance art. She took the stage across L.A. opening for Mezklah and Fósforó, and she toured Mexico with Mezklah and DJ David BoNobO in 2003. She retired from performing in 2004 with the birth of her first child.
Pa La Paloma (Alquimia Remixed by David BoNobO - Single 2005): Alquimia was a band out of Bogotá, Colombia that featured singer Janio Coronado (he would go on to sing for Sidestepper). DJ/Producer David BoNobO has played parties in Cuba, toured Mexico in 2003, and held residencies in Oaxaca, Mexico in 2005, and 2008. He also shared the stage with the following artists on this compilation: Beatriz Torres, Fitter, Fósforó, Go Betty Go, Mexican Dubwiser, Mezkalah, Olmeca, Pe Ere, Quetzal, Very Be Careful, and Xochisoneros. This song was his first venture into the realm of producing and remixing. How BoNobO, a white guy transplanted to L.A. from Portland, came to be part of this scene is still a matter of great contention and debate.
Celosa feat. Locos Por Juana (Palenke Soultribe - Oro 2009): Palenke Soultribe transplanted to L.A. in 2006 from Bogotá, Colombia. The group initially consisted of producer/bassist Juan Diego Borda and keyboardist/producer Andres “Popa” Erazo, but grew to include a rotating list of musicians collaborating with them as a collective. This track displays one of several connections Miami’s Locos Por Juana made with Angelinos during the 2000s.
Warriors feat. Will.I.Am - BEP Remix (Burning Star - Eponymous 2003): Upon the release of their debut album, Burning Star said they aimed to “utilize art as a tool for the reconstruction of the community through the participation of community based programs,” and they had the talent and work ethic to back up such an ambitious statement. At one point in time, you could find a vinyl Burning Star sticker on the light post of every intersection or crosswalk in the city of L.A. Despite their hard effort & amazing line-up of musicians, the flame burned out after just one album. Bassist Emilio Saenz went on to play with the Boogaloo Assassins, Drummer Cisco Huete later played drums for Monte Carlo 76, percussionist Gerry Morales went to Spain to study Flamenco guitar and became a featured artist at Subsuelo, Joshua Alvarez did some collaborative work with Black Eyed Peas, and vocalist/keyboardist Quincy McCary has gone on to work with the likes of Quetzal, Bitbull, Mayer Hawthorne, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Jack White. In 2019, McCrary released a solo debut under the name Qemistry.
Street Signs (Ozomatli - Street Signs 2004): Street Signs was the title song from Ozomatli’s third studio album, and it followed the success of Embracing The Chaos, the one that earned them the Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album. Their first studio release came in 1998, and it featured rapper Charli 2na and DJ Cut Chemist, and it put L.A.’s  Latin music scene back on the map internationally. Since then, they have very much been the leaders of the pack. Their eighth studio album Non-Stop: Mexico to Jamaica was produced by Sly & Robbie and released in 2017.
The Garage (Monte Carlo 76 - Marisa 2008): Birthed in 2003 from the remains of keyboardist Gomez Comes Alive and guitarist Jeremy Keller’s former group Slowrider, Monte Carlo 76 painted vignettes of growing up in East L.A. with their lyrics. Behind that was a musical tipping of the hat to classic 70’s Chicano Rock that never sounded retro. Completing two albums during their run with the help of producers Martha Gonzalez and Quetzal Flores of the band Quetzal, Monte Carlo 76 garnered them a L.A. Weekly Music Awards nomination for Best Latin Alternative Band.
The Coconut Tree (Fitter - Through The Green Jungles of Plenty… 2009): Fitter found success and acclaim in El Salvador, the nation their families came from, despite the fact that they were hard to classify. A fiercely innovative rock band, they took frequent influence from Dub Reggae and African music. Guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Wilfredo Mendez was noted for having electrified a traditional folkloric guitar from El Salvador to produce new sounds that had never been heard. They collaborated with Fósforó’s Rafi B., and released two albums in the 2000s. Unfortunately, things came to an end for them when Mendez suffered impairments to his speech and motor skills due to a benign tumor in his brain in 2012.
Haves And Have Nots (Aztlan Underground - Single 2000): Having roots in East L.A.’s hardcore punk scene of the 1980’s, Aztlan was championed by Rage Against the Machine’s Zack De La Rocha when they released their debut album, Decolonize, in 1995. By the 2000s, they were like the scene’s thundering elders reminding newbies of the need to stay socially conscious with their music through lending their voice to numerous community events such as the Farce of July, and the second protest concert in support of The South Central Farmers. They’ve released three albums and played Mexico, Canada, Australia and Spain. They released the single Black Lives Matter in 2019.
No Hay Perdon (Go Betty Go - Nothing Is More 2005): Formed in Glendale in 2005, this all female group proved that they could rock hard while also being able to compose more melodic ballads. They joined the Vans Warped tour in 2004 and 2005. The track highlighted here features the vocals of Nicolette Vilar who left the band in 2006 and rejoined them in 2012. Their third studio release came in the form of an EP titled Reboot in 2015.
El Hospital (Very Be Careful - Escape Room 2010): They may have started up in NYC in 1997, but this band belongs to L.A. While the style they play is traditional Vallento, they are often credited as the L.A. band that made Cumbia hip again. Formed by brothers Ricardo and Arturo Guzman after being inspired by a trip to visit family in Colombia, the group is comprised of five friends who grew up within blocks of each other, plus the Guzman’s aunt Deicy to helps cover the songwriting duties. Releasing their first full length album in 2001, the VBC have gone on to release seven albums to date. They’ve played the giant Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, and the reknowned Glastonbury Festival in England. Their music may be acoustic, but their shows are rawkus bawdy, and filled with Punk attitude.
El Caballito (Xochisoneros - El Caiman 2003): Formed by musician and anthropologist Hector Marquez and musicologist Efren Luna, Xochisoneros brought a flavor to the scene that was more Mexican and less Angelino. Crafting traditional songs in the styles of Son Huasteco, Son Jarocho, Son Cubano, and Colombian Cumbia, they almost exclusively played community or protest events as they used their musical platform for social justice, and to help to show that Mexico has its place in the lexicon of Carribean music. La Marisol of the Grammy Award winning band La Santa Cecilia was a student of Marquez, and she would join the group while she was still in high school. That was an education that you could not put a price on!

America, The E.U. & The Tribulations to Come
 By Vanessa P.Published on:  September 11, 2019
In August 2017, a solar eclipse passed over America. The eclipse went from coast to coast, West to East. It was the first total solar eclipse seen only in the U.S. since the nation’s founding in 1776. In 2024, another solar eclipse will cross America from coast to coast, this time East to West. The path of the eclipse’s final image is a giant X over the United States.

The annual Bastille Day celebration in Paris, France, this year was prophetic. Not very talked about either. The ten Kings of the EU military cooperation were present, along with their own militaries. This wasn’t about celebrating France; it was about showcasing a joint military pact created last year by France and Germany.
When Jerusalem is surrounded in the final days leading to Armageddon, it seems only God can help the Jewish people. Towards the end, just prior to His coming, could the U.S. be crippled, leaving the Jews to call on God? Jesus said that the Jews would not see His face again until they learned to cry out to Him.
“For I say unto you, you shall not see me again, till you shall say, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”
The Jewish people have shed many tears over the last 2,000 years. They’ve been ridiculed, mocked and slaughtered by the millions. Yet, they still have not cried out to the Lord, the only one who can save them.
When Jesus was here, he was despised, ridiculed, mocked and ultimately slaughtered by the very people He came to save. Their scorn for Him was returned to them.
As He was being led away like a lamb to the slaughter, there were a few mourners who were crying for Him. He turned to them and said “Do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children” (Luke 23:28).
The children of that generation of Jews saw the destruction of their temple, slaughter of their friends and family, captivity, and for 2,000 years they roamed without a home of their own. They were despised, mocked and ultimately slaughtered by the millions under the Nazi regime of Adolph Hitler.
Currently, there is not a UN permanent member nation that can veto and make decisions for the ONE BILLION Muslims on earth.
With Brexit, the UK’s departure from the EU will leave a massive hole, financially and militarily, as the EU is the UK’s largest trading partner. Turkey is ready and waiting to step in; this is what they’ve been waiting on for decades. They have a legitimate cause, too. Europe has millions of Muslims living in numerous countries. They have no voice. Recep Tayip Erdogan wants to be that voice.
Erdogan is already a hero in Gaza and the West Bank to the Palestinian people. He is celebrated and prayed for by them. There are Turkish flags over the entrances to the Temple Mount. During Friday prayer it is not unusual to see Turkish flags and signs bearing Erdogan’s picture.
After Brexit, the EU will forge new trade deals, possibly with nations the U.S. is sanctioning. They will become extremely powerful militarily, with a two hundred-million-man army. Even the U.S., which is the greatest nation in the history of the world, can’t withstand that. Israel certainly can’t withstand that, which makes the people finally cry out, and The Lord hears them!
The ten nations in the EU have been chosen. Emmanuel Macron called for ten nations to stand up and defend the EU militarily. The ten nations that came forward are: France and Germany of course, Finland, Belgium, Britain, Denmark, Estonia, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal.
Revelation 17:12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.”
BUT Brexit is about to finally happen, so why would Britain remain in the EU’s military alliance? They won’t.
“After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.”
The leopard with feathers represents the Franco-German alliance. The four heads represent Germany’s attempts at world domination or four Reich’s (German for Empire). We witnessed the first attempt under the Holy Roman Empire, the second under Otto Van Bismarck, and the third head was under Adolph Hitler. The fourth head will be under the control of the Antichrist.
The European Union is controlled by Germany and France. The history between the two nations dates back to Charlemagne the great, the first Holy Roman Emperor. Everything we see happening today ties in, bringing us to the final moments before Christ’s return.
Germany will return to her Assyrian roots and become the killing machine they have been throughout history. Germany has started the last two world wars and will undoubtedly help start the third.
“The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings.”
With Britain leaving, this gives Turkey the opportunity they have been waiting for. It would also give Erdogan an incredible amount of power. It’s been two decades since the EU named Turkey as a candidate for membership, and Erdogan is determined to make it happen. In the past, Erdogan has claimed that the EU needs Turkey more than Turkey needs the EU. With Brexit on the horizon, he may be right.
Turkey is already a much-needed ally on key issues such as immigration into Europe, security, and even the economy. The only thing that has really prevented them from joining were the differences on sharia laws and what it means to be a “Democratic nation.”
With many European nations becoming socialist, is there really that much of a difference now? What difference does it make if the thought police are in Turkey controlling what you say about Islam, or if they are in Germany and France controlling what you say about Islam?
The U.S. and Turkey have had a strained relationship over the last two years; this is in part due to President Trump blocking the F-35 deal. NATO has become almost obsolete, and when it falls apart, Turkey will be looking for a new club to join.
“He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law.”
No other group of people, both religiously and politically, speaks pompous and disgusting words towards Jesus Christ more than Muslims. In fact, blasphemy against Him is engraved on their mosques. It is sung out in their call to prayer. It’s written on arm bands, flags and headbands.
The Islamic call to prayer is heard in tens of thousands of mosques across the world everyday, and each time it’s heard over those loudspeakers, blasphemy is committed.
“Allah is the Greatest! (4 times)
I bear witness that there is no other god but Allah. (2 times)
I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. (2 times)
Rush to prayer. (2 times)
Rush to success. (2 times)
Allah is the Greatest! (2 times)
There is no god but Allah.”
https://raleighmasjid.org/how-to-pray/times.htm
Sharia law demands that an unbeliever be enslaved or killed. Muslims have perfected the art of beheading.
“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands.”
The beast is a socialist, globalist system that has engulfed Europe over the last several decades. President Trump withdrew us from this system, which angered many across the world. This explains the birth of the United States being described by Daniel, but her notable absence in Revelation. The U.S. is not a part of the Antichrist beast.
“And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: ‘Arise, devour much flesh!’”
The bear represents Russia. Through communism, millions have been murdered. The three ribs seem to represent three smaller nations that Russia will conquer in the last days before Christ’s return. The Ukraine is certainly one possible nation or rib.
Daniel 7:17 “These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which SHALL arise out of the earth.”
Daniel’s vision must be describing modern nations because he specifically said that the lion, bear, and leopard “shall arise.” Daniel explained Nebuchadnezzar’s dreams while living in Babylon. The first beast mentioned cannot be ancient Babylon for one simple reason. It had already risen. Daniel was in Babylon at the height of its rule. He also described Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylonian kingdom as being the head of gold.
Daniel 2:39-40 “He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all—you are this head of gold. But after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours; then another, a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others.”
Later, in Daniel 7, he interprets another dream from Nebuchadnezzar. This time he is speaking of future nations.
“The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.”
The United States, or the Eagle, won her independence from Britain in 1776. Uncle Sam stood up with a man’s heart.
The same nations in Daniel 7 are again mentioned in Revelation 13. This time, the nations described in Daniel 7 are now ONE beast or super nation under the Antichrist.
Remember what Jesus said. THIS IS A SPIRITUAL WORLD. There are spirits leading these nations and people. Dark sprits that rule this world. This is why they are in direct opposition of anything good, or decent and moral. We are all being spiritually led. As Christians, we are led by the Holy Spirit.
“Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay.”
If Turkey joined the EU, they will in fact be divided from the rest of Europe. Muslims are not suddenly going to adhere to European law or pledge their loyalty to a single nation. But a super nation with tens of millions of Muslims as citizens? That’s something else altogether. This fourth kingdom, led by France and Germany, will be as strong as iron, but its weakness will be the millions of Muslims wanting separate, sharia-compliant laws.
The division also includes Great Britain. The differences are political, economic and cultural. These differences are found not just between Muslims and Europeans, but between Europeans themselves. This is where the clay or weakness and division comes in. These nations are aligned and powerful but still separate, which gives it weakness.
Boris Johnson has a “zero cares given” attitude on BREXIT. He requested approval from Queen Elizabeth to suspend Parliament, and her stamp of approval was given. This shutdown inside Parliament is an unprecedented move to ensure no derailment of the October 31 deadline he gave. It’s the first time Parliament has shut down in 400 years.
When the armies of the world begin to surround Jerusalem, the Bible says that Britain, the United States and Saudi Arabia question their motives. Have they come to rob Israel of her wealth and possessions?
Ezekiel 38:13 “Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’”
Without Brexit, Britain and America couldn’t possibly be allied in the future because Britain would still be aligned with the E.U.
Brexit hasn’t been carried out yet because the globalists in power do not want to leave the E.U. The British people voted to leave the European Union; yet, their ELECTED officials have ignored them. Theresa May did everything in her power to make a mess of leaving, and it appeared Brexit may not ever happen. Until Boris Johnson became Prime Minister – Britain’s Donald Trump, of sorts. Although there is only one President Donald J. Trump.
“Then the saints shall be given into his hand, For a time and times and half a time.”
Will President Trump’s second term in office be during the first part of the seven-year peace deal? The final three and a half years is going to be a time of great tribulation. Is it possible that the United States has been removed as a superpower in order to usher that terrible time in?
“I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them, until the Ancient of Days came.”
In 2024, when the eclipse crosses the U.S. again, the epicenter of the eclipse crosses over the same exact spot as it did in 2017. The Kentucky/Tennessee border region. What’s interesting is there’s a dangerous fault line right where the giant X crosses over. This fault line caused the greatest earthquake in our history. The New Madrid fault line has the potential to completely disrupt and cripple the U.S.
In November 2008, FEMA warned that a serious earthquake in the New Madrid Seismic Zone could have severe economic damages due to severe infrastructure damage across multiple states. A strong enough quake will affect water, food and medicine from reaching those who need it for possibly weeks, if not months.
Catastrophic damage would be felt in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ohio, Texas, and Tennessee.
A 7.0 magnitude quake along the fault line would put this country at a standstill. It would result in thousands of casualties, with many more in the days that follow, due to the large populations and lack of emergency supplies.
FEMA also said Memphis, Tennessee, would have upwards of 4,000 casualties alone. Unlike cities on the West coast, buildings and infrastructure in middle America aren’t made to withstand strong earthquakes. Not only that, but with millions of people affected, our financial markets would crash.
The last time this fault line caused a major earthquake was December 16, 1811, when an estimated 8.0 quake struck Arkansas with a large 7.4 aftershock a few hours later. A third 7.8 earthquake was felt on January 23, 1812. Then a 4th in the series of quakes hit just a few weeks later on February 7th. This was estimated at an 8.8.
After the fourth and largest quake, the land was no longer recognizable by survivors. Brand new lakes and ridges were formed, and the Mississippi River flowed backwards for hours. Church bells in Philadelphia rang out, and the ground cracked in Washington, DC.
In 1811-12, middle America was not as populated as it is now, which lessened the death toll.
In 2016, James Wilkinson, director of the Central US Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC), said, “The thing that, to me, makes the river scary is how much industry we have along it: there’s power plants, there’s chemical plants, there’s ports. And the river might change course altogether… We’ve had earthquakes, we’ve had damage, but nothing like what we’ve seen in other parts of the world… So the clock’s ticking.”
These Midwest earthquakes are the longest lasting with the most damage in world history, and the strongest in American history.  Something else remarkable happened in March of 1811 and ended in December of that year too. A bright comet had appeared in the skies. It was visible for 260 days in the United States and Europe, and was nicknamed the “Napoleon Comet.” It preceded the war of 1812, which once again saw the U.S. at war with Britain in a desperate fight to defend her sovereignty. This has been called America’s second war for independence.
These two American Eclipses intersect in middle America, and right over the New Madrid Fault line.
What will become of Jerusalem in the upcoming peace deal? The end result is tens of thousands of Palestinians overrunning her and slaughtering the Jewish people, and the U.S. will be powerless to stop it. The Psalm 83 war describes all of the surrounding peoples and nations that attack the Temple and the Jewish people. They are modern-day Palestinians. I believe it will be this war where Jerusalem comes under the control of the Antichrist.
With the U.S. reeling from a massive earthquake, the EU would become the most powerful union of nations in the world. Politically and economically. Perhaps they will offer to help the U.S., for a price. How many in today’s generation could survive if they had to fend for themselves? Not many. They would gladly offer anything, even betraying their nation for a hot shower and food.
I believe the U.S. will be around to protect Israel for the next few years, but I also believe something must happen to America in order for the Israelis to feel all that can help them is God.
These prophecies were written 2,500 years ago, and we see them being fulfilled before our eyes.
The lawlessness we see around us now is nothing compared to what will occur when a catastrophic event that affects the entire country happens.
This earthquake would split the United States right down the middle. We are already divided spiritually and politically; could you imagine having to defend your home in a time of lawlessness? If you’re not prepared, then it’s time to get prepared. I’d rather be safe than sorry. I’m not saying this earthquake is going to happen, but it’s awful coincidental in this last generation not to take notice of signs that appear in the sun, moon and stars. He warned us of earthquakes and also hurricanes.
Luke 21:25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.”
Matthew 24:7 “And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Things are move quickly; His return is near. He is not coming back smiling; He’s coming back full of wrath. All of these things we are seeing right now are only the beginning!
Jesus does not rule Jerusalem yet; He doesn’t even rule this world. This is Satan’s domain. Why do you think God instructs us not to be part of the world? Because our enemy runs it! Look around you; is this from God? Is drag queen story hour from God? Are abortions from God? Is the socialist, globalist beast from God? No!
The third temple is closer than ever to being built. It will be this generation that builds it, and President Trump could make it happen, inadvertently bringing the Antichrist front and center.
Zechariah 6:15 “Even those from afar shall come and build the temple of the Lord. Then you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. And this shall come to pass if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.”
Jewish Rabbis are eagerly awaiting the time when they can prepare the red heifer for sacrifice. This red heifer is needed in order to build the third temple because the ashes from the heifer are what cleansed Israel from her sins in ancient times. Jesus was without blemish, as no fault was found in Him; His blood is what cleanses us from our sin. The heifer had to be sacrificed outside of the camp just as Jesus was sacrificed outside of Jerusalem.
The Jewish people haven’t learned to cry out for the Lord yet, and they will not see Him until they do. Unfortunately, it’s going to take another Holocaust more brutal than the first for them to do so. BUT He is faithful, and hears them. The red heifer can’t forgive them of their sins; only Jesus Christ can. His blood has already been shed, no heifers needed.
“Yet even now,’ declares the Lord, ‘return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, weeping and mourning; and rend your heart and not your garments.’ Now return to the Lord your God for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in loving kindness and relenting of evil” (Joel 2:12-13).

History Of The Democratic And Republican Parties
Where Do Democratic Candidates Stand On Gun Control?
The Democratic Party traces its origins to the anti-federalist factions around the time of Americas independence from British rule. These factions were organized into the Democrat Republican party by Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and other influential opponents of the Federalists in 1792.
The Republican party is the younger of the two parties. Founded in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists and modernizers, the Republican Party rose to prominence with the election of Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president. The party presided over the American Civil War and Reconstruction and was harried by internal factions and scandals towards the end of the 19th century.
Since the division of the Republican Party in the election of 1912, the Democratic party has consistently positioned itself to the left of the Republican Party in economic as well as social matters. The economically left-leaning activist philosophy of Franklin D. Roosevelt, which has strongly influenced American liberalism, has shaped much of the party’s economic agenda since 1932. Roosevelt’s New Deal coalition usually controlled the national government until 1964.
The Republican Party today supports a pro-business platform, with foundations in economic libertarianism, and fiscal and social conservatism.
A Division Of Power In Government Is Common In The Us With The Republicans And The Democrats Often Splitting Control Of The White House And Congress
Joe Biden may have been announced as President Elect but there are still some crucial decisions to be made on how America will be governed for the next four years. The presidential election appears to have been a pretty resounding win for the Democrats but the picture is less clear in the Senate, when both parties retain hope of having a majority when the Upper House reconvenes next year.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer released a statement after Bidens victory was called, saying: âA Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate would be the biggest difference maker to help President-elect Biden deliver for working families across the country.
Sen. Chuck Schumer: âThere has been no evidence of any significant or widespread voter fraud. Joe Biden won this election fair and square. The margins of his victory are growing by the day.â
The Hill
All elections in Georgia, not just those for the Senate, require the winning candidate to pick up over 50% of the votes cast. This year neither of the states two Senate races had a majority winning so a run-off will be held on 5 January, with both the Democrats and the Republicans holding out hope of securing the vital seats needed to give them a majority in the Senate.
Why is control of the Senate so important?
Although President Elect Biden will be the head of the government, he would rather govern by concensus than executive order. Therefore most large-scale bills will need to pass Congress before they can be signed into law.
Taking The Perspective Of Others Proved To Be Really Hard
The divide in the United States is wide, and one indication of that is how difficult our question proved for many thoughtful citizens. A 77-year-old Republican woman from Pennsylvania was typical of the voters who struggled with this question, telling us, This is really hard for me to even try to think like a devilcrat!, I am sorry but I in all honesty cannot answer this question. I cannot even wrap my mind around any reason they would be good for this country.
Similarly, a 53-year-old Republican from Virginia said, I honestly cannot even pretend to be a Democrat and try to come up with anything positive at all, but, I guess they would vote Democrat because they are illegal immigrants and they are promised many benefits to voting for that party. Also, just to follow what others are doing. And third would be just because they hate Trump so much. The picture she paints of the typical Democratic voter being an immigrant, who goes along with their party or simply hates Trump will seem like a strange caricature to most Democratic voters. But her answer seems to lack the animus of many.;;
Democrats struggled just as much as Republicans. A 33-year-old woman from California told said, i really am going to have a hard time doing this but then offered that Republicans are morally right as in values, going to protect us from terrorest and immigrants, going to create jobs.

Widest Perception Gap At Political Extremes
In one of the largest national studies of Americas polarization ever conducted, More in Commons Hidden Tribes report identified seven political tribes:
The Hidden Tribes of America
The Perception Gap study builds on these insights. It finds that the most partisan, politically active Americans a group we call the Wings have deeply distorted perceptions of the other side. The two groups with the widest Perception Gaps are the Progressive Activists and the Devoted Conservativesthe most ideological and committed groups of Democrats and Republicans.
And which is the most accurate segment? Surprisingly, its the Politically Disengaged. They are fully three times more accurate in their estimates of political opponents than members of either of these Wing groups. The V-shaped Perception Gap shows that the less invested you are in politics today, the less distorted your perception of politics.

Most Republicans Say Critics Of Trump Should Not Be Accepted In The Gop While Most Democrats Say Their Party Should Be Accepting Of Biden Critics
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Large majorities of both Republicans and Democrats say their party should be accepting of elected officials within the party who disagree with it on some important issues. At the same time, very few in either party say their party should be welcoming of elected officials who support groups advocating for violence against members of the other party.
But there are clear distinctions between the two coalitions in their appetite for accepting members of the party who criticize the partys standard bearers: While most Democrats say the party should be at least somewhat accepting of elected officials who criticize Joe Biden, the majority position among Republicans is that the GOP should not be welcoming toward Republican elected officials who criticize Donald Trump, and an even smaller share of Republicans say that those who voted to impeach Trump should be accepted in the GOP.;
Eight-in-ten Democrats and Democratic leaners say the Democratic Party should be very or somewhat accepting of Democratic elected officials who disagree with Democrats on important issues, while 71% of Republicans and Republican leaners say their own party should be very or somewhat accepting of Republican officials who disagree with the GOP on some important issues. Just 4% of Democrats and 7% of Republicans say their parties should be not at all accepting of elected officials who disagree with the party on some important issues.
The changes did not affect the reports substantive findings.;

Open Forum: So What Do Republicans Really Stand For
CHARLES MARKERT
Save
We stand against the destructive and evil policies of the Democrats. That should be adequate reason to vote for Republicans at all levels of government. In a nutshell Republicans stand for common sense and logic while Democrats stand for emotional demonstrations and parental control of the masses.
The Republican Senate has done an excellent and admirable job of holding off the onslaught of dangerous and evil legislation flooding in from the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives. The Democrats are crying for people to unite, which means join a union and do what Democrats want. This canard of bringing people together reminds me of a quote from M. Stanton Evans when he said “there are 2 parties in Washington, the evil party and the stupid party. Every now and then the evil party and the stupid party get together and agree on something evil and stupid. That is called bipartisanship.”
Democrats have proven that they only have one interest and that is to overthrow President Trump. The Democrats are continuing to accuse Trump of everything that Democrats are already doing or intend to do.
I find it amazing how Mister Kennedy, can describe President Trump in the totally opposite terms from the truth and it gets published front and center. In the spirit of bringing people together, I would say that Mister Biden is nasty, cruel, corrupt, racist, Marxist, immoral and is a shill for the Communist Party USA and is clearly dangerous. There, I said it.
What Do Republicans Stand For
Republicans are considered more conservative than Democrats. However, there are liberal Republicans and conservative Democrats. The Republicans tend to favor less government when dealing withdomestic problems, and individual and states’ rights. Republicanstend to favor economic laws that regulate as little as possible. They tend to favor ways to help the states and local governments, and allow private charities to help individuals in need instead offederal programs. Republican tend to favor more defense spendingand to be against funding for abortions. They favor enforcement ofImmigration laws and are against giving voting rights to illegalimmigrants. They want to balance the budget and find a way toslowly reduce the national debt.

Republican Vs Democrat: What Are The Differences
When it comes to U.S. politics, two prominent parties dominate democrats and republicans. Each party, despite some of their common grounded principles, stands for a very different system where beliefs and applications might vary.
Here is an unbiased breakdown of some of the major differences between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party.
The Plausible Solution: Just Win More
What Do Democrats Stand For?
Whether the public sees Democratic demands for these structural changes as overdue or overreaching, the key point is that they are currently exercises in futility. The only plausible road to winning their major policy goals is to win by winning. This means politics, not re-engineering. They need to find ways to take down their opponents, and then be smarter about using that power while they have it.
They certainly have issues to campaign on. In the few weeks, we have learned that some of Americas wealthiest people have paid only minimal or no federal income tax at all. Even as the Wall Street Journal editorial writers were responding to a Code Red emergency , the jaw-dropping nature of the reportfollowed by a New York Times piece about the impotence of the IRS to deal with the tax evasions of private equity royaltyconfirmed the folk wisdom of countless bars, diners, and union halls: the wealthy get away with murder.
Of course this is a whole lot easier said than done. A political climate where inflation, crime and immigration are dominant issues has the potential to override good economic news. And 2020 already showed what can happen when a relative handful of voices calling for defunding the police can drown out the broader usage of economic fairness.

America Should Deport Illegal Immigrants
Republicans believe that illegal immigrants, no matter the reason they are in this country, should be forcibly removed from the U.S. Although illegal immigrants are often motivated to come to the U.S. by companies who hire them, Republicans generally believe that the focus of the law should be on the illegal immigrants and not on the corporations that hire them.
What Does The Democratic Party Believe In
The Democratic Party is generally associated with more progressive policies. It supports social and economic equality, favouring greater government intervention in the economy but opposing government involvement in the private noneconomic affairs of citizens. Democrats advocate for the civil rights of minorities, and they support a safety net for individuals, backing various social welfare programs, including Medicaid and food stamps. To fund these programs and other initiatives, Democrats often endorse a progressive tax. In addition, Democrats notably support environmental protection programs, gun control, less-strict immigration laws, and worker rights.

Reality Check : Biden Cant Be Fdr
Theres no question that Biden is swinging for the fences. Beyond the emerging bipartisan infrastructure bill, he has proposed a far-reaching series of programs that would collectively move the United States several steps closer to the kind of social democracy prevalent in most industrialized nations: free community college, big support for childcare and homebound seniors, a sharp increase in Medicaid, more people eligible for Medicare, a reinvigorated labor movement. It is why 100 days into the administration, NPR was asking a commonly heard question: Can Biden Join FDR and LBJ In The Democratic Party’s Pantheon?
But the FDR and LBJ examples show conclusively why visions of a transformational Biden agenda are so hard to turn into reality. In 1933, FDR had won a huge popular and electoral landslide, after which he had a three-to-one Democratic majority in the House and a 59-vote majority in the Senate. Similarly, LBJ in 1964 had won a massive popular and electoral vote landslide, along with a Senate with 69 Democrats and a House with 295. Last November, on the other hand, only 42,000 votes in three key states kept Trump from winning re-election. Democrats losses in the House whittled their margin down to mid-single digits. The Senate is 50-50.
Reality Check : The Fight Is Asymmetricaland Favors The Gop
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While Democrats gesture on Twitter at building new systems, Republicans are working the current one with ruthless effectiveness.
The threats to a free and fair election that have emerged since last November are realand require nothing more than the willingness of state legislators to use and abuse the existing tools of government. Arizona, whose two new voting rules were just validated by the Supreme Court, also took the power to litigate election laws away from the Secretary of State and gave the power to the Attorney General. In at least 8 states, Republicans are advancing legislation that would take power away from local or county boards. Many more states are moving to make voting harder. It might be anti-democratic, but it falls well within the rules.
Also within the rules: How McConnell helped build a federal bench almost certain to ratify the power of those legislatures to pass laws far more restrictive than the Arizona rules upheld last week. He creatively eviscerated Senate norms to keep Merrick Garland off the Supreme Court and hand Donald Trump an astonishing three nominations in a single term. And hes recently suggested that, should a Supreme Court vacancy open, hed block even consideration of a Biden nominee if the Republicans take the Senate back in 2022. This is abnormal, anti-democratic and a cynical abuse of powerbut its legal within the existing rules.

Views Of The Democratic And Republican Parties
Just under half of Americans have a favorable view of the Democratic Party, while a slightly larger share have an unfavorable view.
The GOP is viewed more negatively 38% say they have a positive view of the Republican Party, while 60% rate it unfavorably. These views are modestly changed since last summer, with the share of Americans rating the GOP unfavorably slightly higher than it was in August and the share of Americans with a negative view of the Democratic Party down slightly .
About three-quarters of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents view the GOP favorably, while 81% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents view the Democratic Party positively.
Nearly all Republicans who say they strongly identify with the Republican Party express a favorable opinion of the GOP. Among Republicans who say they not so strongly identify with the party, 77% say have a favorable view, while 56% of independents who lean toward the Republican Party say the same.
Democrats who very strongly identify with the Democratic Party nearly universally view their party favorably, as do 87% of Democrats who describe themselves as not-so-strong Democrats. About six-in-ten Democratic leaners have a favorable opinion of the Democratic Party.
Within both partisan groups, views of the opposing party are overwhelmingly unfavorable across-the-board, with more than eight-in-ten strong partisans, not so strong partisans and leaners alike saying this.
Democrat Vs Republican: Us Political Parties
What do Republicans and Democrats stand for in the US? The Democrat vs Republican debate is the biggest division in American politics today, but that was not always the case. While the Democratic and Republican political parties now seem like a universal feature of American politics, there is actually no discussion of political parties in the American Constitution. Indeed, parties have shifted and evolved over time, and the Democratic and Republican parties are only the current largest parties in the country. The most recent Democratic president in the US is Joe Biden, who was elected in 2020. The most recent Republican president was Donald Trump, who was elected in 2016.
The symbol of the Democratic party is a donkey, while the symbol of the Republican party is an elephant. The exact origins of these images are not entirely clear, but they were popularized and codified by cartoonist Thomas Nast in the late 1800s. Today, the symbols are highly recognizable and are ubiquitous ways of depicting the two parties.

The Republican Party General Policy And Political Values
The Republican Party is often referred to as the GOP. This abbreviation stands for Grand Old Party. Its logo is an elephant. The Republican Party is known to support right-leaning ideologies of conservatism, social conservatism, and economic libertarianism, among other -isms. Thus, Republicans broadly advocate for traditional values, a low degree of government interference, and large support of the private sector.
One main standpoint of the Republican Party platform is a strong focus on the family and individual freedom. Generally, the Republican Party therefore often tends to promote states and local rights. That means that they often wish for federal regulations to play a lesser role in policymaking. Furthermore, the GOP has a pro-business-oriented platform. Thus, the party advocates for businesses to exist in a free market instead of being impacted by tight government regulations.

Important Economic Trends During Anarchy
2021 – Let the Games Begin
          6.   A Christian Secession – Priny’s Castle
65 days into the Demented Marxists’ coup, here are some quick observations of events that will impact our economy:
 1.      The 10-year Treasury hit a new high for the last 12 months when it closed at 1.626% last week.  One mortgage broker told me the residential mortgage market froze that day and his mortgage brokerage company raised their 30-year fixed rate loans from 2.75% to 3.25%.  That took some of the home buyers out of the market and is a warning sign.
 2.      Voting on party lines, the Democrats passed the $1.9 Trillion “Virus Relief Bill” in which only 9% provided any relief to Americans. Did your friends in California, Illinois, and New York whose state government debt and pension funds just became everyone else’s debt to pay, send you a thank you card.  No, I did not get any.
 3.      Also voting on party lines, the Democrats passed HR-1 with no hearings and little debate.  This bill legalizes all of the vote fraud “techniques” used by the Demented Marxists (DM) to “win” in November.  Who will be the first Democrat/DM to reach 1 Billion votes in a country of 330 Million folks?  Watch for it.
 4.      The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported the number of illegal immigrants that crossed into the USA in February exceeded 101,000.  Many were wearing Biden T-shirts.  Bidenharrris reinstituted the Obama “Catch and Release” policies that considered 15,000 per month a crisis allowing Biden to beat Obama’s record.  One Texas Sheriff has stated that the Biden administration is actively recruiting illegals denied asylum under Trump.  The Texas Governor has called out the National Guard and DHS has asked for “volunteers” to go help the border patrol.
But the DHS Secretary insists “This is not a crisis” even with 3 times the number of “Kids in Cages” as happened under Trump.  Surprise, the propaganda mills ignored the whole situation.   Apparently, under DM logic this situation would only be a crisis if you happened to give a D**n about illegal immigration and its negative effects on Americans. DMs do not care, so there is not a crisis.
 5.      State of the Union – Did you watch it in February? Since it was not held, either (1) the faux president (fp) was not able to string enough coherent sentences together to give a one hour State of the Union speech, or (2) the DM consider the Clinger Deplorable Chumps, a/k/a peasants, unworthy to know what is happening. My vote is both.
 6.      Note this Democrat “Insurrection”.   Iowa’s 2nd District House of Representatives office was won by a Republican by 6 votes.  Her election has been certified.  But the Democrats in the House refuse to seat her.  DMs continue to play by their own set of rules which assume the law applies to everyone but them.  Actually, this means is there are no rules.
 7.      Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) take control of the Nevada Democratic Party – The DSA self describes as communist.  The new Chair of the Nevada Democratic Party, Judith Whitmer, and several individuals elected to leadership positions in the Nevada Democratic Party are actively DSA.  It is refreshing to have a confirmation that the Democrats are Marxist/communists.  When does this happen in Virginia?
Pelosi’s Castle:   Did you see that the Pentagon has approved another $500 million to have the National Guard patrolling for another two months the fenced off former United States Capitol.  That suggests that the cost of protecting faux elected officials against phantom attacks will be at more than $1 Billion.  Now Pelosi wants to replace the temporary fencing, etc., with, permanent structures and military guards.  Is the American Taxpayer going to pay to transform the former “Capitol” into “Nancy’s Castle” making her the Princess?  Her nickname now … “Priny”.
It would be so much less expensive to just not commit vote fraud.  That would have saved $1 Billion.  Sorry, I forgot, we are currently controlled by DMs and “Priny” wants to have a castle so she can safely eat her designer ice cream while viewing the White House (now a nursing home) where the fp lives.  When did the lord of the castle ever care about the use of the peasants’ tax money?  Priny says “Let them eat cake, I have my designer ice cream.”
Meanwhile the American economy is similar to a diabetic on a massive sugar high just before the sugar crash hits.  Oil prices have almost doubled and gas prices have increased approximately 20% since November 4, 2020.  That is the equivalent of a huge tax increase for the average American (the DM’s peasants).  The Fed appears to be controlling the 10-year Treasury market, but those rates still increased from 0.65% on November 4 to 1.55% today, approximately a 120% increase. Mortgage rates have increased from 2.75% to 3.25% just last week marking the peak of this real estate cycle.
One of the best leading indicators and economic growth engines in America is the new home construction industry because new home sales ripple through about one third of the American economy. Residential sales are very highly correlated to mortgage rates with an inverse relationship. In this case that means that when mortgage rates go up, sales will go down.
We saw that relationship displayed in 2018 as The Fed started that year reducing their Balance Sheet by not replacing Treasures and mortgages that were paid off (thus raising interest rates) plus actually raising interest rates by increasing their Federal Funds rate.  The booming new home market in the spring of 2018 slowed in the summer and stalled in the fall.  As we then predicted, The Fed stopped raising interest rates in February 2019 and reduced rates plus restarted Quantitative Easing (QE) in the spring of 2019.
Bubble Alert:   Increased mortgage rates always negatively impact the housing market.  If we had fully functioning capitalistic financial markets, the recent increase would signal to batten down the hatches.  Unfortunately, The Fed is disrupting the financial markets signals which heightens the risk.  Witness the six-month period of December 2018 to May 2019 when Chairman Powell in December 2018 promised more rate hikes but by May 2019 had completely reversed course. In the future, The Fed will allow an increase interest rates abruptly.
As the Demented Marxists in DC and Richmond destroy our Democratic Republics, the “Christian Secession” continues to grow. Clingers Deplorables Chumps are exhausted with the bulling and arrogance, so they are taking actions on individual, county, and state levels.   No mention is made in the propaganda machine/ former news media, but the conservative electronic media is full of articles discussing trends and actions some are taking.
One of the newest trends is the “Super Straight Movement”.  Using the same language and tactics as the LQBT folks but greatly superior in numbers to the LQBT, this will be fun to watch.  The abused majority has realized that “What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander”.   A majority denied their rights by a minority is a powerful force.  The DMs don not understand the full ramifications of what they did in November, but they will.  Listen and you can hear the deep throated diesel engine of the train that left the station on January 6, 2021, when the majority realized they had been screwed by the minority.
Unsustainable things continue until that unpredictable moment when they stop.  It is like the game of musical chairs we played as children where the music stopped and not everyone had a chair.  Make your financial decisions now so that you are prepared and remember that in times of financial crisis “Cash is King”.
Those who perpetrated the fraudulent elections and are fraudulently in leadership positions are consumed by their desire for money and power. They and their similarly motivated enablers, the propaganda mills/former news media are as misinformed as the folks mentioned below.
“Those who passed by derided him, shaking their heads and saying “Aha! You who would destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself, and come down from the cross!”
(Mark 15: 29 New Revised Standard Version, Oxford University Press)
It is Friday, but Sunday is coming.  This is a miserable experience and dark days full of fear are in between now and Sunday.  A great piece of land remains The Best investment long term unless the DMs get us to full-fledged Marxism.  Capitalism builds wealth, Marxism/Socialism consumes it in self destruction.  Pray for a return to honest elections in the USA.  God is in control.  Men make plans, but God ALWAYS wins.
 Stay healthy,
Ned

Last night, the world watched America turn into North Korea. Or at least Washington, DC. By way of the absurd, comical, jaw-dropping spectacle that Trump’s made of the RNC.
If Monty Python to wanted to write a parody of textbook authoritarianism, they couldn’t do any better. What cliched, farcical elements of authoritarianism were there, on loud, violent display?
Not just the general atmosphere of gloating and sneering, rage and contempt. Not even the fact that the White House was pimped for political gain. Nor even the build-up speeches from functionaries, like the Secretary of State, that consisted of…nothing whatsoever but veneration and prostration to the immaculate perfection of Dear Leader.
There was the fact that much of the night consisted of…well…Trumps. Authoritarianism is a family business — Big Daddy builds a dynasty, and his kids pick up the mantle. That was the message of Eric and Tiffany Trump giving equally bizarre speeches. Imagine for a moment if Hunter Biden or Malia Obama gave a speech at the DNC. The nation’s pundits would be in an uproar. But Eric Trump? Apparently that’s OK, because we’ve all been worn down by Trump’s transgressions by now. What on earth do Eric and Tiffany Trump have to say about…anything? What do they know about…anything? Yet there they were. Why? Let me make the import of this moment clear.
The authoritarian is now grooming his kids to take over the family business,* which is dictatorship , the abuse of power, fascism.* That is a very, very bad sign. It is a thing that happens when democracies are about to break and die. It tells us the authoritarian is confident he can break the back of a society. That he doesn’t care at all anymore who knows he intends to do it. It is not to be taken lightly. It is as massive, flagrant, loud abuse of power — and warning sign — there can be. It’s not just a comical moment, though it’s usually funny to watch a dictator’s idiot kids on podiums. It means that authoritarianism is growing in scale, scope, reach, confidence, power, gravity, aspiration, developing a long game, capable of reaching across generations, emboldened to keep a stranglehold on democracy.
Then there was Melania’s even more bizarre speech. Styled in a military jacket — designer authoritarian-chic — Melania detailed how Trump was just a man fighting impossible odds, doing his best, heroically, for a troubled nation. He was strong and wise. He was always there when you needed him. And thanks to him, America was doing better than it ever had before. And by the way, if you’d lost someone to Covid, Melania extended you her warmest sympathies.
Wait, what? 170,000 — no, wait, 180,000 dead now — and counting. If my spouse had been responsible for…mass death…you know what? I’d probably get a divorce. Even if — no, especially if — they were the head of state. Let me make the meaning of this moment, too, crystal clear.
Melania was there to gaslight an entire nation. Think about it this way. Mafias need good guys and bad guys. The bad guy threatens to break your legs. The good guys pals around with you, acts like your friend, and pretends nobody’s threatened to break your legs. What, us? We’re Goodfellas!
That was Melania’s job. To gaslight an entire nation. Into believing the fictional alternate reality the Trumpists are trying to construct, and always have. Yesterday, that fictional alternate reality was: hated minorities like Latinos are responsible for all of America’s problems, they’re the reason you, the “real” American, don’t have healthcare, a job, money in the bank, dignity, self-worth, purpose and so forth — not your own stupid, self-destructive choices at the voting booth for the last four decades or so. Today, that fictional alternate reality is: Trump’s a hero! He rescued the economy! And Covid would be so much worse if he hadn’t intervened! He’s perfect!
Wait, what? 180,000 dead and counting, 30 million unemployed, 50 million facing eviction, a massive wave of bankruptcies , an economy teetering into depression , the worst public health crisis ** since…forever. That’s reality.Trump is the worst President there’s ever been, and that’s not a political statement — it’s an** objective empirical reality .
That disjuncture between what reality is and what the authoritarians need it to be is precisely why Melania gave that speech. Someone needs to gaslight the country, so that it doesn’t believe — or at least parts of it don’t believe, and I’ll come to that — in empirical reality. If people comfortably believed in reality, authoritarianism would never win, and yet instead it makes up most of human history. Hence, the absurd divergences — “Trump rescued the economy, he fixed Covid, etc”, while the bodies pile up by the hundreds of thousands, and people go broke by the millions. Who better than Melania to do it?
(After all, she’s not really a Trump, is she? The impression is that she’s somehow innocent of the abuses of power and hate and brutality of the “real” Trumps, because she’s just some kind of hapless immigrant, a dumb model, a powerless prisoner, a damsel in distress. But do you really gaslight an entire country if you…just want out? )
You might well ask something like “OK, Umair, Melania’s job was to gaslight a country, sure. But who on earth is dumb enough to buy this guff? Come on! LOL.” The answer to that, sadly, funnily, idiotically, would be…all of America’s intellectual class. I woke up, as you did, to op-ed after op-ed gushing over what a wonderful job Melania had done. How warm and fuzzy she’d been. How she’d connected with people, and displayed noble human qualities. How empathetic and kind and gentle and sweet she was. So brave! So strong. So courageous. Love you, Melania!
Wait, what?
“ She rounds out his rough edges.” She’s literally on a podium conditioning Americans to get used to mass death, depression, brutality, incompetence, corruption, stupidity, hate, lies —presenting a “ softer side ” to authoritarianism. Making it “ palatable.” And the American pundit celebrates it because it’s said with a winsome smile, not realizing that that was the point. Because she managed to acknowledge the pandemic that the RNC had managed to ignore until that point. To sympathize with families. The bar is so low, my friends. The bar is in hell. The answer to the question: “who on earth is dumb enough to believe in the gaslighting of America, at the point of literal mass death?” is, sadly, too many in a position of mainstream intellectual and cultural power in America.
That’s a big problem. Because while you might say to yourself, “Phew, I’m glad I don’t read the dumb NYT op-ed page anymore!” the question is: do you really get the danger American democracy’s in ? As in, really get it?
Let me ask that another way, with a much more visceral question.
If I was to say to you that America’s one step away from having classic features of authoritarian societies like secret polices and death squads, would you believe me? Probably not. “Death squads!” you chuckle to yourself. “Is this guy for real? LOL.”
So I invite you to take a look at Kenosha, Wisconsin. Where the police apparently shot yet another unarmed black man…in the back…for no reason whatsoever…multiple times. And now armed “ white supremacist militias ” are roaming the streets beating and maybe shooting people at will.
Those, my friends, are one step away from death squads.
Yes, really. And secret polices? Don’t forget who was beating moms and disappearing people in Portland just a few short weeks ago.
So let me ask you again. Do you really understand the danger America’s in?
My guess is that you don’t. That’s OK. You probably don’t have experience with authoritarianism. You’ve never experienced it, lived through it, seen its horrors up close and personal, suffered its abuses and depredations.
Let us survivors of authoritarianism warn you. This is not a drill. It’s not a game. It is the real thing.
When a spectacular event like the RNC takes place, it is a powerful signal. When kids are groomed for power, when spouses are rolled out to gaslight a country, when the house of government is used for political theatre — all that is telling you something. This is the real deal. It is authoritarian fascism of the absolute and lethal kind. It’s funny, until it’s deadly. Its objective is to murder democracy. To kill off its institutions — the rule of law, constitutions, rights, freedoms — and replace them with fascist-authoritarian ones, like secret polices, cronies, death squads, show trials, mock democracy, power held for life, and dynastically passed on to kids.
This is 100% real.
Now let me come back to you. If you’re the sane and thoughtful American, you’re probably equal parts amused and horrified by this spectacle. That’s OK, too. But don’t forget. You’re not the target. They don’t care if you’re laughing at them, the authoritarians. Why not?
The target is the minority of committed fanatics it takes to bring down a society. Its never — never — taken a majority, from Stalinist Russia, to Nazi Germany, to Islam now. The goal is to drive them into a frenzy, a mania. By sending them all the signals above. “Wow, one of us can hold power forever,” thinks the Trumpist, watching the little Trumps give their bizarre speeches. Their hearts pound in anticipation. “Things really are getting better!! What a great guy Trump is!” thinks the Trumpist, watching Melania gaslight a nation. They grin in triumph.
The point is to drive the fanatical minority to a frenzy. So that they vote like never before.
Meanwhile, you? The sane American? The bad news is that you don’t vote. Maybe not you, specifically, but you, generally. America has the lowest voter participation rate in the rich world, by a very long way. Just above 50%. That’s barely a democracy at all, if you think about it. And mostly, it’s sane, thoughtful Americans who don’t vote — the fanatics and extremists on the right do. That’s how they’ve captured society’s political institutions wholesale, all the way to the White House.
The authoritarian personality grasps all of this intuitively. They don’t need pollsters to tell them, usually. They just know. That the good people don’t vote. That the silent majority stays silent. And so all they have to do is goad and whip their base into a manic, hysterical state, and then use it to capture power forever. If you think I’m kidding, go ahead and take a look at Iran, Russia, North Korea.
Let me distill the point I’m trying to make. Authoritarianism means “most of us didn’t want this. ” That’s the part Americans still don’t get, I think. They seem to imagine, too many of them, that simply laughing at the bad guys is going to defeat them. It’s not.
This is how authoritarian collapses happen. All this. Exactly. An aspiring tyrant who’s absued power for years jokes about never leaving office. He builds a dynasty in plain sight. His wife gaslights the nation. The intellectuals have never read a history book — and they appear to have no clue, and normalize all this as just another legitimate kind of politics, through op-eds that glorify it all. But fascism is not legitimate, not normal. It’s deeply abnormal.
Meanwhile, the nascent institutions of real violence begin to emerge. Today’s paramilitaries are tomorrow’s death squads. Today’s phalanx of mysterious men without badges are tomorrow’s secret police. Today’s vigilante mobs are tomorrow’s SS’s, and today’s true believers are tomorrow’s Gestapos. Today’s “lock her up!” is tomorrow’s show trial. Today’s “enemies of the people!” is tomorrow’s opponents, rivals, dissidents thrown in camps — what did you think those camps were for? All of that is what’s on the cards.
Let us survivors of authoritarianism warn you. This is how it happens. Exactly how it happens. From the aspiring tyrant announcing his intention to stay in power, to the dynastic politics, to the intellectual class normalizing it all, to the still silent majority — America deviates not one inch from the time-tested textbook of how societies collapse. Not one inch.
That brings me to the question Americans always have, to which the answer is so eminently obvious. “But what should we do?” Listen. You have one — just one — barely working institution left. An election.
You know what to do. You know what you should be planning to do right now, with friends, holding each other to account, encouraging others to do, building networks for, igniting, sparking.
You have to vote.
Like never before.
Like your life depends on it.
It does.

Limbaugh: RNC Was About Saving America from a Race War Democrats Actively Trying to Promote
During his nationally syndicated show on Friday, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh discussed the Republican National Convention held earlier in the week and how it compared to the Democratic National Convention in a prerecorded message he made as he recovers from an infection.
Limbaugh gave President Donald Trump and the RNC high marks but said the DNC was being used by Democrats to be divisive.
One of the elements Limbaugh praised about the RNC was the push for inclusiveness, and argued Democrats were promoting racial hostilities.
Partial transcript as follows (courtesy of RushLimbaugh.com):
LIMBAUGH: We can rest assured that this is the case, having watched it last night. I saw people complaining. The Fox News people were complaining that the speech was too long, 70 minutes. Let me tell you: If anybody has earned the right to take as much time as he wants to explain himself, it’s Donald Trump. The man has been slandered and libeled multiple times a day every day for four years.
He has been unfairly criticized. He’s been lied about. He has been the subject of a search-and-destroy campaign. And this entire week the Republican National Convention has been a focused period of time for Trump and his administration to tell their story, and if it took him 70 minutes last night to do it, fine and dandy. They say, “Well, y’ know, he didn’t see to have a whole lot of energy out there.”
He was not going to win, no matter what he did. If he’d done Trump at a rally, they’d have said he wasn’t presidential. If he had gone out and been really tough and called Biden a bunch of names, they would have said, “He’s not presidential! He’s not taking it seriously.” So last night I thought he was actually really good. The only thing that upset me about it going long was people were falling asleep in the Eastern Time Zone and missing some of it.
I thought it was exactly what was called for. It was calm. It was assuring. And you know something else? Remember the prepublicity on all this. The prepublicity was, “Trump was gonna come out, he was gonna fire on all cylinders, and he was gonna be ripping Biden and Kamala Harris a new one,” and that’s not what we got last night.
We got a guy who was self-assured, who was confident. I couldn’t tell when he was on the prompter and when he wasn’t. He was funny in a deadpan, slow-stated or downplayed kind of way — and he was unthreatening. You know, the prepublicity on this was, “Well, this guy, he’s going to come out firing both barrels! You better be prepared! He’s going to launch everything.” It wasn’t that way at all.
It was calm, it was reasoned — and for those watching Trump to learn a little bit about him, there wasn’t anything about it that was threatening.
Look, folks, I also have some other observations about things that have happened while I’ve been away. I want to take the opportunity here of this occasion just to get some of those thoughts in, in preparation for my return to the Golden EIB Microphone on Monday. I loved Ivanka’s speech last night. One line particularly stood out: “Washington didn’t change my father. My father changed Washington.”
Boy, is that true. It is right-on-the-money true, and it continues to be the case, and it explains why they continue — in the establishment, deep state, whatever — to be so outraged and indignant and irrational. They’re incapable of being rational when Trump is around, precisely because he is changing where they live. He’s changing where they work.
Now, can I remind you of something? And I took a lot of heat for this. I said last week that the Democrat challenge was going to be to find a way to renege on the debates, and everybody — blogosphere, pundits, and people on cable news — said, “Limbaugh is off his rocker! He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Of course there’s going to be debates!
“There’s going to be three debates. Biden is assuring everybody there’s going to be debates,” and what happened? Nancy Pelosi … Stop and think of this, folks. Nancy Pelosi comes out and says, “I would not legitimize a conversation with him.” Now, she’s clearly laying the groundwork for Biden not to have to debate, and she wouldn’t have done that without the Biden campaign’s knowledge of it.
The idea she’s out there shooting from the hip? I guess it’s possible because it’s Pelosi. She may be trying to manipulate things because I’ll tell you something else going on out there, folks. You know, internal polls for politicians don’t lie. The polls that they do that they report to you and me — like take your pick of any poll. Those polls, as you well know, are made to shape public opinion, not reflect it.
But internal polls, like the Trump campaign internal polls or the Biden internal polls? They’re not lying to themselves in those polls — and those polls must be bad. I saw a poll, and I can’t remember the name of it right now. Let me find it real quick. (shuffling papers) Black Lives Matter in Wisconsin’s popularity has gone from plus-25 to zero in two months. Oh, yeah. It was a tweet here from noted hate expert Jonathan Chait.
“Democrats need to be extremely concerned about what’s happening in Wisconsin, where support for BLM has gone from +25 to +0 in 2 months.” In Wisconsin! It’s happening all over the place, and by now I’m sure you’ve all heard that CNN anchors are warning, “Oh, we gotta get serious. We got to talk about the rioting. The focus group data looks bad. The polling data looks bad.”
Oh, so now it’s not about saving lives, not about saving property. Now that all this is starting to hurt the Democrats, now they’ve got to start talking about it? But these internal polls must be bad. They don’t lie in these internal polls. Biden … Did you notice yesterday he didn’t just leave the basement; he went up a floor? He went to the living room. He went up to where there’s a fireplace — in August.
Kamala Harris emerged from whatever hovel she was living in to come out and tell a bunch of whoppers about Trump, and I think the fact that these polls — the internal polls in the Biden campaign — are bad can be seen in the Biden campaign’s activity. Here’s a New York Times story: “How Chaos in Kenosha Is Already Swaying Some Voters in Wisconsin,” and there’s a quote from somebody here.
“Ellen Ferwerda, who owns an antique furniture store downtown just blocks from the worst of the destruction that is now closed, said … Democratic leaders seemed hesitant to condemn the mayhem. ‘I think they just don’t know what to say.'” Uh, if you don’t know what to say about rioters, if you don’t know what to say about people that are destroying your town, then it’s obvious you don’t know what to do about it, either.
Bruce Arians, the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. You know, a lot of these players — NFL, NBA, NHL — decided to not practice or cancel a bunch of games because of the shooting in Kenosha, and Bruce Arians, the coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, said, “I don’t know that protest is an action. I think each guy has a personal thing.
Already people in the sports media are outraged that he would say this, that “the Boston Tea Party was protest.” No, it was action. It was much more than just marching up and down the street or carrying a bunch of signs or looting and destroying other people’s property. There is a big difference between action and protest. What he was really saying was (summarized):
“Canceling practice — not practicing football one day — is not going to change anything you claim to be in favor of. It’s not going to matter a whit,” and so — he didn’t say this; I will — they’re getting away with engaging in a bunch of symbolism while not having to engage in any genuine substance.
Folks, a couple of other things here that I want to delve into. I actually believe… I saw a little note from Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit. Actually, there were some major things happening this week that I haven’t heard anybody say. Now, that doesn’t mean nobody has, because I haven’t been able to listen to everything. But I look at the Republican convention.
It’s been the most diverse political convention I’ve ever seen, including Democrat conventions. And as I’ve watched it, it has occurred to me that Trump isn’t just running for reelection. The story that is being told at the Republican National Convention is about saving America. It’s about saving America from a race war that the Democrats are out there actively trying to promote. They’re trying to foment it.
They want this country to be black versus white, immigrant versus native, male versus female. That’s what they want. They want that chaos. They want this constant us-versus-them aspect of daily life. And Trump is making it clear that he’s interested in people who are constructive, productive, generally happy. He’s not interested in parasites, the generally miserable.
He wants everybody to join in this project of making America great again, to restoring America’s greatness where we had contentment and happiness, and people sought happiness. The fact that all of that is controversial still amazes me. But I think it’s an… If you look at the Republican convention, it is astounding, the understory, or some of the themes underneath the surface that are, I think, extremely powerful.
There’s another thing, folks, that is undeniable, and that is the Republican Party is no longer the party of the McCains or the Bushes or the Romneys or take your pick. I mean, or the Koch brothers, all the big donors and so forth. This is clearly a Republican Party now that is Donald Trump’s, and he’s got 92 to 95% Republican loyalty.
It’s one of the most amazing transformations of a political party, and it’s taken place in less than three years. At this convention, George W. Bush was nowhere to be found. None of the old Republican elders. Romney was nowhere to be found. Not that they wanted to be there, but that’s the point. So I just… I think that there is a lot, folks, to be optimistic about, particularly if President Trump wins.
(alarm chime)
Oops! There’s my timer telling me that my time is up, but it’s not up. I gave myself a couple of extra seconds here. It is an opportunity for an upbeat, positive nature among all of us. This week has been very eye-opening for me. It’s been a very bad week, and yet it has ended for me feeling inspired and upbeat and really confident about the future of our country if President Trump is reelected. I believe the opposite is true if he’s not.

In 1954, a prison doctor in Kentucky isolated seven black inmates and fed them “double, triple and quadruple” doses of LSD for 77 days straight. No one knows what became of the victims. They may have died without knowing they were part of the CIA’s highly secretive program to develop ways to control minds—a program based out of a little-known Army base with a dark past, Fort Detrick.
Suburban sprawl has engulfed Fort Detrick, an Army base 50 miles from Washington in the Maryland town of Frederick. Seventy-six years ago, however, when the Army selected Detrick as the place to develop its super-secret plans to wage germ warfare, the area around the base looked much different. In fact, it was chosen for its isolation. That’s because Detrick, still thriving today as the Army’s principal base for biological research and now encompassing nearly 600 buildings on 13,000 acres, was for years the nerve center of the CIA’s hidden chemical and mind control empire.
Detrick is today one of the world’s cutting-edge laboratories for research into toxins and antitoxins, the place where defenses are developed against every plague, from crop fungus to Ebola. Its leading role in the field is widely recognized. For decades, though, much of what went on at the base was a closely held secret. Directors of the CIA mind control program MK-ULTRA, which used Detrick as a key base, destroyed most of their records in 1973. Some of its secrets have been revealed in declassified documents, through interviews and as a result of congressional investigations. Together, those sources reveal Detrick’s central role in MK-ULTRA and in the manufacture of poisons intended to kill foreign leaders.
In 1942, alarmed by reports that Japanese forces were waging germ warfare in China, the Army decided to launch a secret program to develop biological weapons. It hired a University of Wisconsin biochemist, Ira Baldwin, to run the program and asked him to find a site for a new bio-research complex. Baldwin chose a mostly abandoned National Guard base below Catoctin Mountain called Detrick Field. On March 9, 1943, the Army announced that it had renamed the field Camp Detrick, designated it as headquarters of the Army Biological Warfare Laboratories and purchased several adjacent farms to provide extra room and privacy.
After World War II, Detrick faded in importance. The reason was simple: The United States had nuclear weapons, so developing biological ones no longer seemed urgent. As the Cold War began, however, two seemingly unrelated developments on opposite sides of the world stunned the newly created Central Intelligence Agency and gave Detrick a new mission.
The first was the show trial of the Roman Catholic Primate of Hungary Joseph Cardinal Mindszenty for treason in 1949. At the trial, the cardinal appeared disoriented, spoke in a monotone and confessed to crimes he had evidently not committed. Then, after the Korean War ended, it was revealed many American prisoners had signed statements criticizing the United States and, in some cases, confessing to war crimes. The CIA came up with the same explanation for both: brainwashing. Communists, the CIA concluded, must have developed a drug or technique that enabled them to control human minds. No evidence of this ever emerged, but the CIA fell hard for the fantasy.
In the spring of 1949 the Army created a small, super-secret team of chemists at Camp Detrick called the Special Operations Division. Its assignment was to find military uses for toxic bacteria. The coercive use of toxins was a new field, and chemists at the Special Operations Division had to decide how to begin their research.
At the same time, CIA had just established its own corps of chemical magicians. CIA officers in Europe and Asia were regularly capturing suspected enemy agents and wanted to develop new ways to draw prisoners in interrogation away from their identities, induce them to reveal secrets and perhaps even program them to commit acts against their will. Allen Dulles, who ran the CIA’s covert-operations directorate and would soon be promoted to direct the agency, considered his mind control project—first named Bluebird, then Artichoke, then MK-ULTRA—to be of supreme importance, the difference between the survival and extinction of the United States.
In 1951, Dulles hired a chemist to design and oversee a systematic search for the key to mind control. The man he chose, Sidney Gottlieb, was not part of the silver-spoon aristocracy from which most officers of the early CIA were recruited, but a 33-year-old Jew from an immigrant family who limped and stuttered. He also meditated, lived in a remote cabin without running water and rose before dawn to milk his goats.
Gottlieb wanted to use Detrick’s assets to propel his mind control project to new heights. He asked Dulles to negotiate an accord that would formalize the connection between the military and the CIA in this pursuit. Under the arrangement’s provisions, according to a later report, “CIA acquired the knowledge, skill, and facilities of the Army to develop biological weapons suited for CIA use.”
Taking advantage of this arrangement, Gottlieb created a hidden CIA enclave inside Camp Detrick. His handful of CIA chemists worked so closely with their comrades in the Special Operations Division that they became a single unit.
Some scientists outside the tight-knit group suspected what was happening. “Do you know what a ‘self-contained, off-the-shelf operation’ means?” one of them asked years later. “The CIA was running one in my lab. They were testing psychochemicals and running experiments in my labs and weren’t telling me.”
Gottlieb searched relentlessly for a way to blast away human minds so new ones could be implanted in their place. He tested an astonishing variety of drug combinations, often in conjunction with other torments like electroshock or sensory deprivation. In the United States, his victims were unwitting subjects at jails and hospitals, including a federal prison in Atlanta and an addiction research center in Lexington, Kentucky.
In Europe and East Asia, Gottlieb’s victims were prisoners in secret detention centers. One of those centers, built in the basement of a former villa in the German town of Kronberg, might have been the first secret CIA prison. While CIA scientists and their former Nazi comrades sat before a stone fireplace discussing the techniques of mind control, prisoners in basement cells were being prepared as subjects in brutal and sometimes fatal experiments.
These were the most gruesome experiments the U.S. government ever conducted on human beings. In one of the them, seven prisoners in Lexington, Kentucky, were given multiple doses of LSD for 77 days straight. In another, captured North Koreans were given depressant drugs, then dosed with potent stimulants and exposed to intense heat and electroshock while they were in the weakened state of transition. These experiments destroyed many minds and caused an unknown number of deaths. Many of the potions, pills and aerosols administered to victims were created at Detrick.
One of the most well-known victims of the MK-ULTRA experiments was Frank Olson. Olson was a CIA officer who had spent his entire career at Detrick and knew its deepest secrets. When he began musing about quitting the CIA, his comrades saw a security threat. Gottlieb summoned the team to a retreat and arranged for Olson to be drugged with LSD. A week later, Olson died in a plunge from a hotel window in New York. The CIA called it suicide. Olson’s family believes he was thrown from the window to prevent him from revealing what was brewing inside Camp Detrick.
A decade of intense experiments taught Gottlieb that there are indeed ways to destroy a human mind. He never, however, found a way to implant a new mind in the resulting void. The grail he sought eluded him. MK-ULTRA ended in failure in the early 1960s. “The conclusion from all these activities,” he admitted afterward, “was that it was very difficult to manipulate human behavior in this way.”
Nonetheless Fort Detrick, as it was renamed in 1956, remained Gottlieb’s chemical base. After the end of MK-ULTRA, he used it to develop and store the CIA’s arsenal of poisons. In his freezers, he kept biological agents that could cause diseases including smallpox, tuberculosis and anthrax as well as a number of organic toxins, including snake venom and paralytic shellfish poison. He developed poisons intended to kill Cuban leader Fidel Castro and Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba.
During this period, Fort Detrick’s public profile rose uncomfortably. No one knew the CIA was making poisons there, but its role as the country’s principal center for research into biological and anti-crop warfare became clear. From mid-1959 to mid-1960, protesters convened once a week at the gate. “No rationalization of ‘defense’ can justify the evil of mass destruction and disease,” they wrote in a statement.
In 1970, President Richard Nixon ordered all government agencies to destroy their supplies of biological toxins. Army scientists complied. Gottlieb hesitated. He had spent years assembling this deadly pharmacopeia and did not want to destroy it. After meeting with CIA Director Richard Helms, he reluctantly agreed that he had no choice.
One batch, a supremely potent shellfish poison known as saxitoxin, escaped destruction, though. Two canisters containing nearly 11 grams of saxitoxin—enough to kill 55,000 people—were in Gottlieb’s depot at Fort Detrick. Before Army technicians could remove them, two officers from the Special Operations Division packed them into the trunk of a car and drove them to the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington, where the CIA maintained a small chemical warehouse. One of Gottlieb’s aides later testified that he had ordered this operation without informing his boss. By the time the saxitoxin was discovered and destroyed in 1975, Gottlieb had retired.
Gottlieb was the most powerful unknown American of the 20th century—unless there was someone else who conducted brutal experiments across three continents and had a license to kill issued by the U.S. government. Detrick, his indispensable base, still contains untold stories of the cruelty that began there—just 50 miles from the center of the government that has kept them sealed for decades.

Planet Alert, October 2019 ~ Moving Beyond Judgement
Planet Alert, October 2019 ~ Moving Beyond Judgement
By Mahala
Have you noticed how fast time is moving? Today is already Thursday and it seems like just yesterday it was Monday. The higher the frequency the faster time moves until there is no time. Anyway, I was going to write this article at the beginning of October but life got in my way and here it is October 10 already. Yesterday I felt a large shift of energy. The energy was so strong it almost knocked me out. I think I felt the opening of the 10-10 doorway a day early. Today, I received an email that explains what I felt yesterday. Here is the link. The Event Draws Closer!
The full moon energy that occurs on October 13, 2019 at 2:08 PM PDT is already in effect. This moon ushers in the Jewish festival of Sukkot, which is a harvest festival. This is also the time period when many people all over the world are having harvest celebrations. I love the season of fall when the trees start turning all different colors. They are very beautiful here in the Pacific Northwest this year. We had our first frost of the year this morning and it is cold here in Seattle, although it started to warm up as soon as the sun came up.
Dave’s children’s book A Loving Saint Sai Baba is now available on Amazon!
Did anyone notice that the war in Syria was activated again on October 9, 2019 on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur? This holiday is considered The Day of Judgment? Are we in the final judgment period? If so, we are at the end of the 20th chapter of Revelation. In my Bible it says that at the time of the end, the energy of the dark will rule for a short period of time. We have been in this dark time period for the past three years. Many people have been judging everything, including themselves. Our country has become divided because of the battle between the Republicans and the Democrats. United you stand, divided you fall. We have witnessed a process of mass corruption including financial scandals, sexual misconduct, and the mistreatment of immigrants and children that had to come out into the open so everyone could see how corrupt our world has become. People had to wake up so they can now start to change that energy to one of love.
The 20th chapter of Revelation talks about a leader who comes to power and then goes to visit Gog and Magog. My understanding is those two countries are North and South Korea. Didn’t that happen? Trump went to North Korea right after he came into power. He also became friends with the leader of North Korea.
Then the Bible says that people will march across the breadth of the land until they come to the Holy Land of (Jer  USA  lem). Didn’t that happen with all the people who walked across the land until they got to the US border and tried to come to our land? One of the main themes in the past three years has been the refugees coming to our country and the treatment of these people, especially the children. We also kept hearing of the desire of our leader to “Build a Wall”.
The Bible also says that during this three-year time period light would come down from heaven. That has definitely been happening. We have had massive waves of light hitting us in the past couple of years. This light continues to raise the frequency of Earth. All of this light has affected the bodies of many people and it has been very painful at times.
The last paragraph of the 20th chapter of Revelation talks all about the great judgment. It says that the book of life will be open and God will judge the people. Who is God? We are all part of the God force. God is within us and many of us have been doing much judging in the past three years. We need to stop judging before we can move into the New Heaven and the New Earth that the 21stand 22nd chapters of Revelation talk about. Judging is the same as to criticize ourselves or others. It is also complaining, arguing, anger and being very negative. Much judgment has been directed against our president Trump and other leaders. I think these negative thoughts have held us in bondage. Do you want to be free? Then stop judging and “Think With Your Heart”.
The Galactic Wars that started millions of years ago in the Orion Constellation are now over and the Light has won. Basically, we are free. There is no one holding us hostage now except for ourselves. The Star Wars Movies were based on fact, Hollywood style. The planet that the Dark Lord destroyed in the first Star Wars movie was actually the planet Neptune. That is when that planet became frozen, and it is still known as a large Ball of Ice. The popular movie called Frozen was the story of the destruction of Neptune and how it was frozen. The Movie Frozen 2 will be out shortly. I am excited to see what that movie will be like. The last Star Wars Movie will come out on December 20, 2019. I hope this movie portrays the end of the war between the light and the dark. Then people might get the idea that the galactic war is actually over.
I know the Galactic Wars are over although the war energy is still playing out on 3D Earth. It may take a few more months for that energy to burn itself out. I would like it to stop right now although it will take more than me to create the end of this Earth war. The Galactic wars were fought on the 4D level. It has been an unseen war for many people unless they could see into that energy level. I picture 4D Earth as a band around the Earth that some people have called the Astral level. That is what has been cleansed. Many psychic people were born with a 4D body because 4D is the psychic level. Those people have been able to see into that dimension. Everything that exists can be seen on that level which includes the good, the bad, and the ugly.
The people who “Think With Their Hearts” and manifest love have been experiencing 5D energy for a long time. It is my understanding that the Harmonic Convergence in August of 1987 lifted us into 4D. That was the first-time people from all over the world got together to meditate and create ceremonies… The combined power of all those people on the same wave link lifted us into the 4D level although those people did not realize it would throw us into the Galactic War energy that was being played out on 4D. Now that this war is over it is time to move totally into 5D. Isn’t it amazing that we are at the end of a war cycle in our whole galaxy that lasted for millions of years?
Now what are the planets doing? The first thing they are doing is creating chaos all over the world. This full moon is focused on a cross in the heavens in the fast-moving signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. The moon in Aries will be conjunct Eris, the Goddess of chaos, so hold onto your peace within. The sun will be opposing the moon adding fire to the conjunction of the moon and Eris. This will usher in the climax of the chaotic energy on Earth which may last until after the sun moves into Capricorn, which is at the Winter Solstice.
Mars is in Libra and will stay there until November 18 triggering off all the Capricorn energy. Capricorn rules governments and structures so watch what happens to governments all over the world. The south node is still over Washington, D. C. so that will probably be where the focus of this energy will occur. The south node is where things from the past come back to haunt you. Then Mercury adds to that energy by turning retrograde on Halloween.
We do live in interesting times. What a ride we have been on and it is not over yet so keep your seat belts buckled. I look forward to the line-up of planets in Capricorn on January 12, 2020 because I think it will move us into a whole new Era. This Christmas season might be interesting also because who knows what may happen. Maybe we will start to have contact with our space brothers and sisters. Wouldn’t that be fun? They are already here in mass. So Be It.
Written in love and light

The American Dream
Late-1700's On the day the Articles of Confederation were signed, the United States found itself flung back to an empty world. They later discovered they were transported back to 4500 BCE, before any major cities were founded in the Americas. The three million Americans ISOTed were shocked to find the lack of anyone on their borders. Many people thought of it as an escape from European influence, a sign that the American experiment would carry forward. Others thought that it was a message from God showing how the Americans were doomed to fail. After people realized what had happened, food began to run out, and state governments had trouble working together. In 1784, Virginia seceded from the United States, tired of the restrictions implemented. In such a time of crisis, Virginia couldn't make any compromises with the federal government. After fighting off any militia the federal congress could afford to send in, they made an effort to switch many of their tobacco farms into ones that could produce food for the people in the country.
Quickly, other states seceded from the United States as well. New York abandoned ship next, hoping that they could first quell the rebellion of Iroquois while also being allowed to build up their own military. After Georgia and North Carolina followed. In 1794, the United States was formally disbanded, with acting congress leader Alexander Hamilton renaming himself the "President of Pennsylvania and Delaware". Each country had trouble finding their footing, and one or two nearly collapsed entirely from the lack of authority and clear laws. One such country was North Carolina, which never expanded due to the fact that the government never responded to the people's need for food. Those who could afford it packed up and moved to the west, where the breakaway Republic of Hawkins was formed in 1798. Needless to say, the two decades after the Poena (The given name for the event, after the Latin word for "punishment") were plagued by death and destruction, and the collapse of a nation that had tons of potential.
Early-1800's In 1803, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island banded together to form the Republic of New England. Within a year, Connecticut joined as well. They were arguably the immediate success story after the Poena, though they didn't have the initiative to become the major military power of North America. After their brief stint in 1804 in which they lost Vermont to the New Yorkers, they decided it best to quietly expand up the coast, the first country to really expand into virgin land. They interacted with the few natives in the area, and flooded the region with poor serfs who didn't really have a place to farm. In the post-Poena climate, even the elite found themselves farming for their families, if only to keep themselves alive. The colony of New Quebec was one of the larger ones; settlers from New Hampshire and even Vermont created New England's only Francophone colony. Pennsylvania and New York, seeing the success of New England's farming programs, began to expand west.
After the chaos of the late-1700's, the two countries were better equipped to nail down their old claims to American land. In 1811, New York and Pennsylvania signed a treaty to divide up colonial land, and tried to peacefully expand. Eventually, the same would be done between Pennsylvania and Virginia, dividing up the Mississippi Basin. At this point in time, however, the countries down south weren't as successful. Georgian expansion into Florida was met with stiff resistance by the majorly hunter-gatherer natives, as well as the few Georgian Native Americans who decided to fight alongside their ancestors. They were able to expand, but it was grueling in comparison to the north, which was a swamp-less region where the natives had mostly been wiped out from American disease. Virginia used the virgin land to expel their natives out of the country, convincing Georgia to do the same. The Confederation of the Five Fires was formed in 1814 out of the wreckage of previous settlement, but it was unstable due to constant intervention from Virginia. It ended up collapsing to expanding Virginian armies in 1823.
In 1821, South Carolina formally renamed itself to the Kingdom of Drayton, after the governor (John Drayton) who had ruled with an iron fist for nearly two decades. He was the one who cemented South Carolina's place in the sand, turning it into a backwater until 2016. Luckily, there wasn't a John Drayton ruling over every country. In most places, exploration continued, albeit tentatively. This was, of course, until the Quebecois Revolts rocked the New English colonies, offsetting exploration for a while. Many of the French settlers, already having a solid foundation of agriculture, disconnected themselves from the government they had few ties with. As the earlier New English colonies were poorly absorbed, it was easy for the thousand-or-so settlers to stop calling themselves New English and begin calling themselves Quebecois. Even still, New Quebec was the second independent state outside of the original US (or the third, if you count Hawkins, which most people don't), and the prospect of an actual non-American nation had become almost foreign in the world's two generations away from "home". So, colonial expansion slowed down ever so slightly, with New England taking the brunt of the economic collapse, until the 1830's. In 1831, a man named Christian Seddon approached the President of New York with a prospect. Instead of trying to directly absorb all their colonies, why not form some colonial businesses much like the East India Company of the Old World? The president liked the idea, and a second rendition of the Hudson Bay Company was formed in the north. Since it was basically a business, it was able to generate revenue both for the people who ran it and for the state. In addition, it actually populated the virgin lands because workers had to move there to work. New York became pretty rich off using the idea, and many other countries followed suit in similar ways. While the early-1800's were okay for expansion, it was the second half of the 19th century where things would begin to expand in really big ways.
Late-1800's The late 19th century, at least in most history textbooks, is normally classified as the "Age of Exploration". Civilization moved from merely the eastern half of North America to Europe, Africa, and South America. In 1856, the Amplus Company of Pennsylvania, a trading company that had existed since the 1830's, founded the settlement of Villelibre on the site of OTL Lorient. It was the first real settlement in Europe since the Poena, and was basically a dumping ground for the few French Pennsylvanians who dared to break the law. However, after the Amplus Company proved that Europe was a viable settlement option, people began to move back to their ancestral homelands. Many Pennsylvania Dutch formed settlements in the lands formerly known as the Netherlands. People whose families had been loyalists in the war moved to East Anglia or Wales, where they'd eventually break away from New York to form the New Kingdom of Britain. Priests from Massachusetts worked to painstakingly rebuild Rome, and went on to rebuild Jerusalem decades later. However, the ultimate settlers were the companies. The people back home needed more food, more slaves, more of everything. The settlements in Spain, France, and Scotland were essentially all turned into gigantic farms, so that the artisans could turn from farming back to anything else they cared to do (and maybe buy food from the companies in the process ). Virginia moved from forcing most of its populace to work in food farms for their whole lives to inventing a rudimentary version of the steam engine in 1878. Pennsylvania became rich enough off of its French colonies to re-brand itself as the "United States of the North", especially after population began to boom. The nation with the most success was New York, as they began to kick off something of an Industrial Revolution after producing new kinds of ships in the 1890's.
In contrast to the profitable nature of the European colonies, the African colonies were startlingly different. New York claimed most of Western Africa, mostly in order to get chocolate and ivory. As slavery was abolished completely for them in 1887, the colonialism was much tamer than it was from Virginia and Georgia. Obviously it wasn't without it's flaws, as the North Americans were notorious for ignoring the natives. New York commonly "encouraged" its freed slaves to settle down in Africa, where they were given land and slightly safer conditions than back home. Of course, Virginia didn't abolish slavery until 1978, and Georgia never really got over that phase in their life. In South America, the colonies at play were far more Americanized. Instead of the companies holding agricultural ownership in Europe, or the slave colonies in Africa, the South American colonies were formed by people with little political investment at all. It was mostly just a means of expansion for Virginia, Georgia, and other smaller countries. The settlements of Rossjour, Tiswe, and Norport were all Virginian settlements along the coast, founded in 1892, 1894, and 1898 respectively.
In addition to all the colonies, there were some new independent countries that fared swimmingly. Cinctorres, for example, was a town founded on the Yucatan peninsula. Mostly formed out of Spanish immigrants from Georgia, it quickly expanded and interacted with the more sophisticated hunter-gatherer tribes. It would end up forming the Union of Tabasco in 1977. Or, further north, there was the Union of Scottish America, which later separated into the Kingdom of MacBaird and the State of Gowson. With the Scottish and Irish being persecuted by Virginia (who had recently absorbed Hawkins at the time, a nation with a large Scottish population) and the USN, many fled to the Pict Lake (OTL Salt Lake) to set up shop. It was honestly pretty profitable in spite of the Virginians, and tended to gather religious people who needed somewhere shady to do their business. Ultimately, the second half of the 1800's was a pretty good time, but that boom in population began to quiet, even during the forefront of invention...
1900's The 1900's could be described as the Age of Industrialization, but it was also the age of corrupt business. Not that business wasn't corrupt in the 1800's, but any corruption that was previously there only seemed to get bigger with time. The 1900's began with the Industrial Revolution spreading into the USN and New England. Of course, with the steam engine only being invented twenty years earlier, it was a bit difficult for any significant progress to occur until the mid-1920's. But, with industrialization came bigger business, business less tailored to the likes and dislikes of federal governments. The Amplus Company began branching out, from colonialism and trade to producing things like garments and toys from their vast factories in Villelibre. Sadly, in addition to small trinkets becoming a commodity for the first time, slaves also made their reappearance. In Virginia, abolitionist movements had gotten so close to winning in the 1910's, but the surplus in industry meant they needed people to work in the factories. The colonies in Africa, while they were on the grow, were also extremely bad regarding basic human rights. There was also a bit of a Gold Rush that happened from 1910 to 1925, where a large group of Germans migrated to formerly unexplored California to settle down, and discovered an abundance of gold in the process. After that, many more immigrated to the area, some companies massively profiting from reselling slave-mined gold for a higher price. After getting rich off their own product, many businessmen saw it their duty to expand their wealth and the so-called American Way to the rest of the world. A man named John Bateman was the cause of a large religious revival movement causing people to flood into Mesopotamia and Egypt. Bateman was the owner of the Bate-Ulster Company, and took it upon himself to bring the "joys of American industry and sophistication" to the agricultural societies of the 44th century BCE. In 1951, he journeyed across the Mediterranean and met up with missionaries in New Jerusalem, where he was directed east towards the city of Uruk (or Erech, as the religious Americans liked to spell it). Founded around the same time the Americans landed, Uruk was a bit shaken by diseases spread by the New English who settled in New Jerusalem. However, it was still even more glorious than it was before American contact, with the king wielding a gun and its citizens using paper currency. Of course, Bateman disrupted the agreements the people of Uruk had with New Jerusalem, and forced the king to give him political power. He called Americans to take back the civilization that had created them (that civilization being the Mesopotamians), to show their complete and total domination over the Earth. Many of the more conservative folk followed his dogma, setting up their own little states in what Bateman called the "League of Erech". He was followed by supporters in "Philistine" (even though none of the natives actually called it that) and Egypt. On the side, Keftiu was a kingdom heavily influenced by American culture, but was never fully taken over by it (although civilization there wouldn't have existed for another few millennia without some form of influence or another). With the spread of business to the ancient world, Islamic freed slaves from the Njinga family took it upon themselves to rebuild the Muslim Holy Land. By 2016, the Njinga Caliph is arguably one of the more powerful people in the Middle Eastern region, but that doesn't mean much considering how small the other fifteen countries in the area really are.
In 1983, there were some big steps made on the military side of technology. While the wars of the past were mostly small and contained (such as when Virginia took over North Carolina in the '60's, and no one batted an eye), the next war had the opportunity of breaking out in five continents. Something of an arms race between Virginia and New York occurred, where New York slowly gained the upper hand. The aeroplane, which had been invented only fourteen years earlier in Syracuse, was militarized and used to transport guns and ammunition across the continent. The idea of the "trackless train" (kinda like a bus, it was never adapted into a car) was invented in 1978, along with the gas engine. Both were used to plan military ventures if any nation were to declare war on the other. By the year 2000, nearly every country that knew what was good for them spent a significant portion of their budget on innovating new military technology.
2000's So far, the 21st century has been marked by an odd lack of exploration. After the Mesopotamian Boom ended and aeroplane technology became more developed, most of the former exploratory companies focused on connecting the regions they owned in more intuitive ways. If we were going off of OTL standards, technology would probably be somewhere around where it was in 1940 in 2016. The Oil Boom is currently all the rage in the Middle East, and even smaller countries like Goldstaub (the original German settlement in California) are starting to get rich. There was even a World Union formed in 2003, potentially initiating scientific exploration of Asia and Africa. Of course, that doesn't mean everything's somehow perfect and happy. Two hundred and forty years since the Poena, it looks like the world is getting ready to have a war, especially with the tension building between New York's ally of New England and Virginia's ally of Georgia. And with the idea of a "bomb made by splitting atoms" floating around, it might not end well...

Fox News host Tucker Carlson addressed Monday night the resignation of his former top writer Blake Neff, who resigned last week after CNN reported on his long history of pseudonymously posting racist and bigoted remarks on an online forum that openly trafficked in racist content. Carlson then announced he was taking a “long-planned vacation.”It came across as a both-sides argument, in which he said that while what an “ashamed” Neff wrote was wrong, those in the media should be careful with their “self-righteousness.”“First, what Blake wrote anonymously was wrong,” Carlson said. “We don’t endorse those words. They have no connection to the show. It is wrong to attack people for qualities they cannot control. In this country, we judge people for what they do, not for how they were born.”“We often say that because we mean it,” he continued. “We will continue to defend that principle, often alone among national news programs because it is essential, nothing is more important.”He then took aim at the media for having the audacity to report on Neff’s racist posts—posts which Carlson himself wouldn't specifically detail to his audience. “Blake fell short of that standard and he has paid a very high price for it but we should also point out to the ghouls now beating their chests in triumph of the destruction of a young man, that self-righteousness also has its costs,” the right-wing host concluded. “We are all human. When we pretend we are holy, we are lying. When we pose as blameless in order to hurt other people, we are committing the gravest sin of all, and we will be punished for it. There’s no question.”He then announced at the end of the broadcast that he would be taking a pre-planned vacation, seemingly taking great pains to make clear it had nothing to do with this current controversy. “Going to spend the next four days trout fishing,” he said. “Long planned, this is one of those years where if you don’t get it in now, you’re probably not going to do if something dramatic happens, of course. We’ll be back.”This isn't the first time, meanwhile, that Carlson has taken a “pre-planned vacation” amid a controversy. Last August, after he faced a firestorm of controversy for calling white supremacy a “hoax,” Carlson announced on air that he was “taking several days off” to go fishing. There has been a pattern of Fox News hosts taking what has been described by the network as previously planned vacations after they've found themselves embroiled in controversy. Laura Ingraham went on a break after mocking Parkland survivor David Hogg. Sean Hannity took a vacation as advertisers began to bolt following his on-air embrace of the Seth Rich conspiracy. Jesse Watters took some days off after his Ivanka Trump remarks. Then there was Carlson's predecessor in the 8 p.m. time slot: Bill O’Reilly. Dealing with an exodus of sponsors over sexual harassment allegations, O’Reilly announced in April 2017 that he was taking a break “because it’s spring and Easter time.” O’Reilly, of course, would never return.According to CNN’s reporting, Neff kept making aggressively racist posts on message board AutoAdmit through this past week, responding to a thread that asked whether you’d let a “JET BLACK congo n****er do lasik eye surgery on u for 50% off” by replying, “I wouldn’t get LASIK from an Asian for free, so no.”In an interview with Dartmouth Alumni Magazine, Neff once boasted that anything Carlson “reading off the teleprompter, the first draft was written by me.” He added that the show is “very aware that we do have that power to sway the conversation, so we try to use it responsibly.”Neff spent nearly four years as the chief writer on Carlson’s top-rated primetime Fox News show. Prior to arriving at Fox News, Neff served as a reporter for The Daily Caller, the conservative news site that Carlson co-founded. The Daily Caller, meanwhile, has a long track record of attracting white nationalists and other bigoted writers, especially during Carlson’s tenure as top editor. In the past, Carlson has pushed back against accusations that he’s peddling racist and white supremacist talking points, saying in December 2019 that those allegations were “so far from the truth” and “dishonest” while adding he has nothing but “contempt for the people saying it.” He has also repeatedly denied knowing about other Daily Caller writers’ past racist comments and online posts.Following Neff’s resignation, Fox News executives sent an internal memo to Fox staffers condemning the former writer’s “horrific racist, misogynistic and homophobic behavior.” Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott and President Jay Wallace also attempted to portray Neff’s behavior as an aberration at Fox.“Neff's abhorrent conduct on this forum was never divulged to the show or the network until Friday, at which point we swiftly accepted his resignation,” they wrote. “Make no mistake, actions such as his cannot and will not be tolerated at any time in any part of our work force.”Carlson’s program, while setting cable news ratings records, has come under intense fire over the host’s inflammatory rhetoric, especially over issues of race and immigration. In recent weeks, the conservative firebrand has aggressively taken aim at social justice movement Black Lives Matter, branding them a “terror organization” and a “mob” that wants to destroy America.“This may be a lot of things, this moment we’re living through, but it is definitely not about Black lives,” Carlson said in an infamous June 8 monologue. “And remember that when they come for you and at this rate, they will. Anyone who has ever been subjected to the rage of the mob knows the feeling. It’s like being swarmed by hornets.”A Fox News spokesperson later insisted to The Daily Beast that “Tucker’s warning about ‘when they come for you’ was clearly referring to Democratic leaders and inner city politicians,” and not about BLM.Carlson has seen his advertisers dwindle away, with pro-Trump business MyPillow accounting for a disproportionate amount of his commercial time. Sponsors began fleeing in earnest in Dec. 2018, after he said that immigration makes America “poorer and dirtier.” The following year, additional advertisers bailed when he claimed white supremacy was a “hoax” and “conspiracy theory.”Read more at The Daily Beast.Get our top stories in your inbox every day.
