didnt clint stalk Emily and like not leave her alone? IM DEADASS QUESTIONING BECAUSE MY FRIEND SAYS THATS WHY THEY DONT LIKE HIM BECAUSE OF THESE REASONS
HE DIDNT STALK HER YOU GUYS ARE LITERALLY CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!! theres one scene where the player character is trying to get clint to talk to emily and he gets so nervous that he hides in a bush to avoid talking to her. everyone mischaracterizes that scene as him """stalking""" her when in that scene hes literally just so socially anxious that hes hiding away from her to avoid talking to her bc he likes her so much. clint and emily are literally friends!!! like canonically speaking emily considers clint one of her friends!!!!!! hes not an incel, having unrequited feelings for a girl doesnt make you an incel!!! he never bothers her with his feelings, he never feels entitled to her time, he never blames other women for his own loneliness, if anything hes always the one to mention that hes the reason he cant form romantic relationships with other people. hes literally just an awkward guy with a crush on a girl who is none the wiser and thats it!! and yet the entire sdv fandom is like "hes such an incel" like u guys literally do not know what that word means, hes so very obviously just a socially anxious man, not some grubby weirdo who feels entitled to a relationship with emily and blames her for not reciprocating. it irks me so bad when people make this characterization of clint because like did we even play the same game omg????? im serious when i say i think the only reason ppl make these claims about clint is because hes fat. if he had the same personality but sebastian's emo boy sprite, he would be a fandom favorite. a socially anxious emo boy??? you wouldnt hear the end of the clint thirst. but because hes fat and awkward the fandom hates on him and mischaracterizes him to such a degree that it makes me feel like im going crazy bc like seriously are we playing two different games??fdshjofilgjerobigejsgiofen ok end rant

wrestling fic writers!!
i have decided to be the change i wanna see, so lets do a nice little thing for each other, as a community full of incredible and talented writers. yes this is writer specific only, but thats cause thats where the main problem of people not interacting with creative works lies in this fandom as far as i can tell and have seen people talking about it especially in the last couple of months
if you read this, please add links to your written works. it can be just a single fic youre really proud of, your writing blog, your writing tag, your ao3 account, anything where your works can be found
and if you leave your link here, PLEASE check out someone else that has left their works, and interact with them. leave them a comment, even just a kudos, REBLOG their fic, etc. interacting is the keyword i want to emphasize here, along with building a sort of a masterpost of where to find people writing in this fandom
and if you are not a writer, youre still highly encouraged to interact with this post and share it and show love to the writers in this fandom, obviously!! i think that should go without saying, but adding it in anyways
a bit more about my vision and resources and such under the read more, but thats the gist of it. happy linking and please be kind and supportive to each other!! 💜
nobody is too big or too small to add their things on this list. if you write and post anything in this fandom whatsoever, be it fics or drabbles or headcanons, any companies or any kind of ships or reader inserts or any content whatsoever no matter how 'dead dove dont eat' or hell even if its just meta, we welcome all here and nobody can say that one thing is less valid than another. just please tag your content accordingly, especially if theres content warnings, and feel free to mention what you write, who you write, any info you wish to leave that would help people before they click on your links. but even so, that should not and hopefully will not deter people from interacting, no matter what it is. someones trash is another ones treasure, i promise you
and unless the amount gets really overwhelming, im personally going to be checking out everyone that leaves something here. unless it squeaks me out, but even then, i'll spread the word. and i just wish as many people as possible will do the same, and not just use this as a potential board to only get eyes on their stuff. ofc thats also the point, but you should give as much, if not more, than you get. we need to be kind and supportive of one another (besides, from personal experience, if you show love to someone else, they are more likely to do it back than without you taking the first step, so... pay it forward)
as for resources, heres a few links that should be helpful in leaving comments and feedback. of course everyone does their own thing and no comment is too big or too small to leave, but for those who need them. if you have anything you'd like added to this list, dont hesitate to get in touch or drop it in the post yourself!!

an overall guide to appreciating fanfic writers
and just in general.. leave people comments. leave them asks about their projects. just go over and gush about their work. i know it sounds embarrassing but writers love nothing more than to hear that someone likes what they are doing. if you find a fic that hasnt been updated in forever, comment on it. it might just be the spark the author needs to continue. while kudos and likes are nice, and just as valuable to some, its definitely in the words the people leave for them that matter the most. im not saying this to put pressure on anyone, its just how it is, and i feel like unless people are writers themselves, and even then sometimes, thats just hard to grasp, especially if the writer is a smaller and less popular one who doesnt get a lot of traffic in the first place
i think thats all. just be nice and considered to everyone, reblog peoples works, this post with others add ons and so forth. and if i find anyone talking shit here or at other writers for something they share, you'll be blocked and im probably taking your kneecaps. be fucking nice. we are all struggling here and we need to stick together
happy sharing and commenting 💜💜

did we all collectively forget that vampires not being able to see their reflection because old mirrors were backed with silver is a tumblr creation that has no basis in any classical texts or?
because the reason vampires cant see their reflections (in classic texts) is because mirrors were considered reflections of the soul, and vampires are soulless, which means regardless of what the reflective surface is, they cannot cast an image.
i'm not a snob, i love modern vampires as much as classic vampires, but please remember that classic vampires are soulless monsters, not misunderstood sadboys of the 00s>.

Yea I admit it, I am extremely jealous of rich people, especially those who were born rich. Who are able to follow their passions and not worry about money because their parents bought them a car and a penthouse apartment in LA and they can stream on twitch and get thousands of followers cause they have top of the line equipment and studio set up and the TIME that is essential to creating and keeping a community engaged. It's very rare that a person who makes enough money to support themselves on twitch started out poor. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but being able to stay home and stream all day and afford expensive equipment (including a gaming pc or laptop that can handle streaming video, let alone streaming both video and a graphics heavy game) will always have a HUGE advantage over someone who has to work all day for a living. And don't get me started on vtubers who drop 5k+ on a model and branding kit and instantly get hundreds of thousands of followers.
I wish I could stream more and do more streams oriented towards environmental science and conservation but my pc keeps breaking and most of my spoons go towards my job. I don't even really want to be a huge streamer? I just want enough people to hang out with so I'm not lonely while playing farming games

Oof I'm kinda scared to ask... Why do you not want to be an artist professionally?
Its just like, incredibly miserable in my experience.
Everyone wants their dream job of being paid to draw whatever the hell they want but 99% of the time you are hired and tasked to draw things that you don't have a lot of interest in, professionally speaking, and constantly getting your artistic efforts undermined by the rest of the team (this is esp. true in the videogame industry) artists always try to push for better designs and get their takes watered down for the sake of general public pleasing. Also you don't have a security blanket unless you're under long term contract. Most freelancers live gig to gig with the fear of not being able to support themselves if they don't take a job to take a break. Videogame and movie jobs arent stable because companies never keep the art teams, they are laid off and rehired whenever there is a new project
During my major, I drew nonstop for 4 years for class. Not always things I enjoyed, but also not always things I didnt like. In fact I enjoyed my major immensely! It was so fun. But the burnout is very, very real, and the workload was similar (even inferior to) regular art jobs.
What happens if you like to draw in your off time? You spend your days making and pumping out art nonstop for hours, and then on your free time breaks you draw some more? I personally couldn't do it. I just wanted to do other things
And like.... I spent the first three years being told by teachers (people with stable, contract based jobs) how cool of a job it is to do art, and then the last year getting grilled on how insanely hard it is to make it out there. If you don't have connections, money, an audience, a studio, it's actually impossible. You need to be your own lawyer, abide by the very strict self employment rules that take a severe chunk out of your earnings. Do all of your finance/schedule/marketing etc while on top of that constantly producing work (I know there's people who can do it but, personally, I cannot)
I really admire the people who were able to build themselves up as artists from the ground like this (because its definitely possible, just insanely hard)
Also, making something you love into your job ends up being miserable too. I experienced this with patreon, which I posted to as like a chill thing and it just got increasingly hard to make content for it or just post in general, even drawing my own ocs and sharing stuff about them started to feel like a chore.
Maybe it's just me though, this has just been my personal experience but yeah in general I realized I am immensely happier just keeping art as a hobby or its gonna suck my soul out (Since I already experienced it)
I don't mean to discourage anyone, I think the world in general needs more artists. But for that we would need to actually be taken seriously and valued, which sadly we are not, at all. And if there's anyone reading that is considering art as a job: it is absolutely grueling. It's not an easy job. Even if you desperately love art it can suck the life out of you and the joy for what you do
(As an extra sidenote. Artists are usually exploited using this mentality as well. That they are supposed to love their job. So they expect you to work your wrists off "For the passion". Dont fall victim to it)
