What i find truly beautiful about your art is how creative and expressive the poses and angles are !! It makes the characters feel so alive and animated,,,,,
Im also curious, do you usually use references for poses?? Or are there any inspirations behind it?
thanks! i don't use direct references much, but whenever i find art/photos with interesting compositions i save them for later, so I'm sure that influence bleeds through. generally, me trying to compose interesting poses is 80% storytelling 15% aesthetic & 5% brainworms lol
re: storytelling, it's called body language for a reason, right!! drawing characters interacting is mostly thinking about how those personalities would behave in the given situation (or vice versa, if you wanted to draw X subject in Y mood, what posing conveys that feeling?). i could ramble a lot about it, but to spare you the long text: tl;dr the location, intensity and depth of expression, gaze, and touch points (or lack thereof!!) imparts lots of info about how the subjects think and feel and interact. spend extra time when composing to think about the feeling you wanna convey, push the pose, and remember that rule of cool is always OK ✨

day 10: free day anger
she's made a lot of enemies in her time but lahabrea sticks with her. he killed her!!!! she's never forgiven him for that!!!! she takes a few creative liberties with her retellings of how her final fight with him went- igeyorhm who? what do you mean it wasn't an epic showdown between just the two of them with her ultimately coming out on top and him DEFINITELY actually being taken down by someone else. please believe her.
