@whatscanon ( Emma ) : can we go now ?  like ,  right now ?
Tumblr media
It was a perfect day. An actual perfect day. Ted couldn't put it into other words, but he knew the day he married Emma it'd be a good one. He just didn't expect it to be this good. He'd been glowing since the moment he got out of bed and down to the venue. He socialized with some of their guests for a bit, already eager to see Emma at the appointed time she was meant to walk down the aisle. Eventually he was going to his own designated room to change, dressing himself in a brown suit and green tie-- the accent color of the whole shindig. He'd taken a few minutes in front of a full length mirror to brush his mustache as well as mumble under his breath his vows, wanting to remember then entirely so he didn't have to pull out the notecards Pete helped him make.
Because remembering "you have such a succulent peach" wasn't going to fly in being the only thing he managed to say. He had a whole set of words to say and he wanted to say them, he needed to. Emma deserved to hear every reason Ted loved her and every promise he was going to make her. He'd once envisioned his wedding, when he was younger, but nothing prepared him for the joy he was going to feel in the moment. Then again... he was always imagining marrying someone else. Didn't expect the end game to be who it was but... he couldn't be fucking happier.
He stood beside his brother at the front of the venue when it was time, Hidgens also present for the necessities of being the one to marry Ted and Emma. When the music played, something light and melodic-- nothing traditional, Ted had to bite his tongue to keep from letting dark eyes well up. The sight of Emma knocked the breath out of him and he'd shook a bit where he stood, Pete's hand coming up to clasp his shoulder as a means to ground the older Spankoffski and to show excitement for him. Ted lifted his own hand to pat his brother's, a gesture that was rare between the two but one he didn't put thought into stopping. Ted was happy.
He didn't take his eyes off Emma for the entire ceremony almost out of fear that she'd disappear if he did. Guys like him-- guys who make themselves into guys like him? They didn't luck out like this. They didn't make it and they certainly didn't find an ounce of real happiness, but Ted had. He'd been able to somehow convince Emma he was the right guy for her and now they were going to spend their lives together-- pretty fucking scary, but also? Ted couldn't picture himself with anyone else at this point. He remembered what it was like to love Jenny, but Emma... loving her was easy.
They'd said 'I do' to each other a few hours ago, kissing at the alter in a near movie fashion as tip lifted her off the ground only to scoop her into his arms. He'd carried her from the venue to where they could change into outfits for their reception, but it'd taken them a bit longer to get down there due to the fact Ted refused to stop kissing her.
'we need to go, t!' 'they can wait.'
However they were eventually down that way, Emma in a dress she could easily move around in and Ted in a new Hawaiian button down, green in color to continued the matching theme. They had a late lunch/early dinner with their guests before the festivities occurred, music pouring from speakers and folks dancing with no intentions of stopping. They had the venue until midnight, but Ted was getting randy and antsy by the time ten o'clock rolled around. Okay, fine. He had been since they got undressed in front of each other to change, but he'd bit it back as best he could for as long as he could. Besides, Emma was having fun. He didn't want to take that away from her.
It was only twenty after ten when she came back to him, finding him in conversation with Bill and Paul before being dragged away towards the outdoor area of the venue. A few people were about, but most were engaged in conversation-- only smiling quick in their direction before letting the happy couple do as they wanted. Smoke a joint. It made Ted even worse and he didn't know if she was aware of that, but he was going to make it her problem quite quickly. And when she put the joint out, the silence still lingering between them-- he pounced.
He gently grabbed her by the wrist and gave a yank, pulling her a little further off from the main of the outdoor area and mostly out of sight of others. He released his hold on her only to regain a new one, hand on her hip and other sliding along the side of her neck until he could cup the back of it. He used the hold to tip her head back, drawing her in for a slow and warm kiss that had him rolling just slightly up against her. The action stepped her backwards and him forward, pressing her between the taller and the side of a shed they were stood by. He hummed into the touch, tilting his head and giving her his all despite knowing they had a room full of people celebrating them.
And of course that didn't stop Ted from dropped the hand on her side to the skirt of her dress, flipping it up to drag his palm along her side and hip-- fingers tracing the spot panties met skin. He snapped the band of the lace material, groaning a little at remembering what she wore under the dress. He wanted her. He knew he should be patient, but it was starting to feel impossible. And call him a wimp, but it'd been at least since yesterday since they'd had sex and he was hurting for it. He nipped at her bottom, tugging at it as he drew back to look down at her.
Their eyes met and he let out a low growl, hand falling from her neck to her hip under her skirt on the opposite side of the other. He used the found purchase to spin her around, pressing her up against the shed as he thrust her ass back against his groin. He panted a breath, mumbling out a low, "Fuck, do I want you, Mrs. Spankoffski..."
' can we go now ?  like ,  right now ? '
Her question had him shutting his eyes in thought, breathing hard through his nose and trying to tune out the sounds of everything around them. He knew she meant it despite the fun they were having, he could tell by the way it panted from her mouth. And he knew part of him should tell her they shouldn't go, that they should stay and round it out, but... His eyes opened and he looked down at her, bumping his hips to her then speaking again, "I think we get to make the rules and frankly I'm all for the wedding couple leaves to fuck while everyone else does whatever the hell else--"

The theme is Kamigata Rakugo. Ikutaka, Somejaku and others thoroughly instructed two people who act as rakugo performers remotely. “I think the association wanted to put in two people who were nagging (to supervise) and ask for strictness,” laughed Ikutaka.
M.A.O from Osaka also commented on the actual rakugo scene, saying, "It's different from what I heard. There was a lot of skill, such as technique and tone of voice." is a fun girl. It was difficult, but I was able to play her brightly and happily.”
On the other hand, Yamamura seemed to understand the difficulty, saying, "Voice actors play one role, but rakugo has many characters in one story." On this day, the advance screening of the first episode was held at "Temma Tenjin Hanjotei" (Kita Ward, Osaka City). A rakugo performance was scheduled to be held, but the event was canceled due to Typhoon No. The surprise project of Yamamura showing off the "Yuzansen" that appears in the first episode has disappeared, and he said, "I've been practicing since morning, so it's a shame."
Both M.A.O and Yamamura seemed to be interested in rakugo, and M.A.O laughed, saying, "I'd like to try it. If you're going to do it, teach me from scratch. I wonder if it's going to be a long road." Somejaku also expressed his expectations, saying, "If Temma Tenjin Hanjotei becomes a mecca for anime, like Asakusa Kid's French theater, young people will come. I'm looking forward to it."
The TV anime will be broadcast on TOKYO MX from the 30th (Friday 10:30, Tokyo), MBS TV (Saturday midnight 2:08, Kansai Local) from October 2, BS Asahi (Sunday 11:00, nationwide), etc. . 13 episodes in 30 minutes.

If there is one event i'm definitely gonna watch, its the karaoke. Originally Rikka and Astel is part of this however both talents are in recovery. So they chose other talents to replace them. Rikka chose Temma and Astel chose Uyu.
Its amazingly nice how they set up the ones who doesn't have 3D yet, the same way Neo Porte's Minase was presented in Gamma's birthday stream, moving cardboard!! lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Its pretty cute how Izuru initiated going up in front of Hakka and Octavio, kneeling in front of them and cheering for them as they sing. Of course the rest of the Stars quickly follow, kneeling in front of their kouhai to cheer for them. Seriously, Izuru's excited tippy taps is so cute!
A personal funny thing that happened when Octavio sang Hohoemi no Bakudan (Yu Yu Hakusho), I commented 'the song of my people'. My fellow "South Elysium" countrymen is well acquinted with this anime song, you can't call yourself an anime fan here if you don't know this song. Later on the chat I saw "THE SONG OF OUR PEOPLE". I just laughed, my phone is not new and opening the keyboard while in full screen mode is quite annoying. I really want them, all 23 of them, to be one one stream!

I was expecting them to be all loud but I guess Roberu have to be senpai to his 2 kouhai. Roberu was quiet and wore a worried expression while in between bouncing Gamma and Jurard.
Tumblr media
I'll be honest, I wasn't paying all my attention to this stream. But everytime Jurard freaks out, my attention goes back to the stream. It's pretty funny cause they commented on Jurard's reactions/tension. Initially they think he was nervous but they concluded that he was just very happy.
A lot of Roberu and Gamma's fans were interviewed and luckily for Jurard, there was a cosplayer who dressed up. I was wishing they interviewed more cosplayers like last year but I guess because their on site reporter, Toshinari Fukamachi, is a famous voice actor his safety is taken into consideration.
Its also pretty nice to see their mama's (illustrator's) drawings around the expo.
Also its pretty cool that Roberu is translating what Jurard was saying. I was worried that Jurard was mixed in when he is not fluent in Japanese. I bet they have a translator behind the scene and I was wondering it wasn't Izuru, Temma or Axel. I forgot that Roberu had that one episode of WachaStars with Izuru where they translated English to Japanese.
Not gonna lie though, because the walk through is curated they managed highlight the Holostars Expo quite well.

Urasawa’s Monster (29-30)
Episode 29 - Execution (Or, Interrogated by Johan)
Start of the episode: Richard watched Johan as he hanged out with a group of kids.
Richard met with his ex-wife and they talked about their daughter Rosemary. Again she told him she would ask if Rosemary wanted to meet her father, and Richard replied he would be home at 9 every night and he would wait for her answer.
Disguised as an insurance agent, Richard visited Johan's parents to gather information. After that, he talked with Dr. Reichwein on the phone about it and what he planned to do next.
Then as Ricahrd flipped through the photos of Rosemary, it occured to him that the baby Johan in the family photo and the grown-up Johan did not look like the same person. And so he went to the birth registration office to check, but after he retrieved the record, he heard from a staffer that there was a fire at that office four years ago, all records held were destroyed and had to be restored by having the whole town resubmit data.
Dr. Gillen paid a visit at Dr. Reichwein and was given a photo of Johan. Dr. Gillen intended to show that photo to the suspect that first appeared in episode 19.
Cut back to Richard. Determined to find out what happened, Richard went to a cemetery and he found a Johan Liebert's grave.
Tumblr media
Wind blew when he discovered this.
Richard told Dr. Reichwein about his findings at the cemetery and then headed home, expecting to get a call from Rosemary.
A call from Rosemary did come. As Richard was talking on the phone, Johan knocked on his door.
Cut to Dr. Gillen, he showed the suspect Johan's photo and the suspect had no idea who that was. As Dr. Gillen pressed on, the suspect asked for a pen, with which he proceeded to deface that photo. After some monolog about the thoughts he had at the park, the suspect said "You come, too" for five or six times in a row, then stabbed himself in the ear.
Cut to Johan and Richard. The two went to a bar. After some small talk, Johan started talking about Stefan Joos, the person Richard killed and proceeded to bring up several conventions on children's rights. Richard was irritated that Johan described that killing as execution. Johan, taking a bottle of whiskey with him, proposed that the two of them went for a walk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Johan asked Richard what he knew about Joos. Richard said he thought Joos was in some orphanage in GDR when he was young. Johan remarked that that orphanage was a horrible place. And...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Johan asked if Richard was about to meet his daughter, and whether he would be able to see her tomorrow.
As the two walked up to a rooftop, Richard asked Johan what he planned to do by being with Mr. Schubert. Johan brought up Stefan Joos again.
Convinced that Richard intended to execute Stefan Joos, Johan bombarded him with questions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Richard freaked out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Johan grinned, then asked one more question:
Tumblr media
Cut to Dr. Reichwein, police showed up and told him that Richard was dead.
End of episode 29
Episode 30 - Decision (Or, a narrow escape)
At Richard's funeral, Dr. Reichwein wondered what he could do for the detective.
Dr. Reichwein in a session with a woman, but was preoccupied with Richard's death. He recalled seeing the fragments of the whiskey bottle at the police station, and Dr. Gillen's words that Richard was talking with his daughter just hours before his death, and he was to meet his daughter the next day, a meet up he looked forward to for quite some times.
The doctor went to the bar and asked the bartender questions. The bartender only remembered what was written on the bill, that a bottle of Racke was purchased.
Tumblr media
The doctor then recalled what Richard once said about Racke:
Tumblr media
As the doctor waited for the train, he concluded that Richard didn't buy that bottle, and wondered if it was Johan.
At Richard's grave, the doctor vowed to find out who Johan was. Dr. Temma quietly looked on from behind.
Dr. Reichwein in another session with the woman that came to see him at the start of the episode. She wanted the doctor to talk with her husband too.
The doctor agreed. And a Mr. Hesse showed up. And they began a session. That Mr Hesse was in fact Roberto. He mentioned, looking at the floor, that after he met a handsome young man with blonde hair, he no longer felt lonely. The doctor became wide-eyed on hearing those. Mr. Hesse raised his head and looked directly at the doctor. Dr. Reichwein said he wanted to make some tea and left the room, Roberto followed him.
"It's no good if you learnt of dreams you should know...especially [given] the fact that I'm a murderer," said Roberto.
The doctor escaped via the back door and got saved by Dr. Temma, who shot at Roberto from downstairs.
End of episode 30
Comment: Johan cared a lot for Stefan Joos, probably because of their shared background. He cared so much about him that he would interrogate Richard and most likely killed him. Another proof that the human programming at Kinderheim 511 failed. Emotions are something that cannot be made non-existent, Johan still capable of caring for others, and developed his own sense of justice based on understanding of conventions concerning children's rights: the inherent right to live, guaranteed survival and development, the preservation of identity, and protection from abuse appeared to be mattered to him a great deal. Usually humans tend to crave what they do not have, so this should pinpoint what Johan felt he was in want of.

Blank Slate (Kazumichi Irie x Reader - Soulmate AU) Part 1
summary
You do not remember anything about who you are and what you did, and your memories start the moment you are taken in by Sybil’s forces, as an exception. Your Crime Coefficient cannot be measured, yet your hue can. Locked up like an Enforcer, you work as a consultant for the Criminal Investigations Department inside of the Public Security Bureau.
In this society where a complex neuro-psychological system rules the people, there exists a mystery that it cannot solve - soul marks. You were to meet the new team of Investigators and Enforcers when fate falls upon you. How will you react to something the system never accounted for in the first place ?
author’s note
I couldn’t find any fics with my baby Irie so… Here’s my try at writing one. It will be bad, since i don’t know how to write anymore, but here is my attempt at *plot*. Yeah, that and two stupid cliché ideas fused together because why not ? Hope you enjoy !
There WILL BE SPOILERS for Psycho Pass s3 so be warned !
Tumblr media
You woke up to a voice in your room. It was your AI assistant, like everybody had nowadays.
« It’s 7 o’clock and we are Monday, your hue is Coral Pink and the weather will be sunny today ! »
Not that it mattered very much to you, since you couldn’t really go out.
« You have an appointment at 8 o’clock today with Division 1, in the Public Security Bureau’s offices. Don’t be late ! » the voice chirped again.
You sat up and rubbed your eyes to get most of the fatigue out. You weren’t used to getting up this early. At least, not anymore. It’s been a while since you’ve been sollicited by the Bureau, even though you were living inside the NONA tower. Jumping out of bed, you remove your clothes and proceed to take a shower to further clear your mind.
« Your energetic intake yesterday was 2000 kilocalories. I recommend a breakfast adding up to 280 kilocalories ! »
« Make it 300 » you mumbled, rubbing your scalp with shampoo. « And i want eggs, bacon, salad, french toast flavours in it. And coffee »
If your assistant could’ve judged you, they would have. You knew you needed to eat something solid before going to meet with the inspectors and whatnot. Some cases were nastier than others, and even though you doubted to be consulted that early on, it never hurt to be prepared. You had encountered a few unpleasant surprises before.
You ate your machine-made breakfast while still drying your hair and body, then went up to the mirror to dress up. There, you saw the bandaid covering your soul mark was peeling off. With a sigh, you rip it off neatly and fetch a new one, your eyes barely lingering on the name there. You didn’t really… care for it. As far as you remember you always had it, on the left side of your torso, on your ribs. Soul marks were not something Sybil could explain, yet it had to deal with them, because it couldn’t get rid of them.
Numerous studies had shown that Psycho-Passes could affect each other via soul marks, and deteriorate. Other studies showed that soulmates that were together had lighter hues, and could recover from clouded Psycho-Passes. So all in all, Sibyl recommended you find your soulmate, and there were a few methods to do so. You could search their name, since it was written onto you. They could also make a check to see if two people’s hues followed the same patterns, but considering area stress and about a ton other factors, it wasn’t a reliable way.
You hadn’t searched for your soulmate, or read any info about them, or even accepted Sybil’s services to find them. You figured it would only hurt you more to know who they were, or weren’t, since you didn’t have the freedom to meet with them.
You covered the name with another bandaid, the cream color a bit off from your skin. You didn’t need to cover it, but you felt better not having someone’s name branded there, like you belonged to them. But even with it covered, you knew what name it was. It had been impossible for you to evade the sight of your own body for so long, and when you caved in and read, you only felt about as lost as before. It was just a name. It’s not like you could guess what type of person was behind it.
The clock showed it was 10 minutes before your appointed meeting, so you dressed up quickly in a pair of thighs, formal shorts, a dress shirt and a vest. Right before exiting, you slipped inside a pair of black combat boots. The door slided, locked behind you and you headed towards the upper floors, where the meeting was held.
You arrived in the office, and everybody was there, or at least you assumed so. You were 7 in total so there must have been 4 Enforcers, and 2 inspectors. Excluding Karanomori Shion, whom you already knew, and Shimotsuki Mika the chief inspector. You greeted everybody with a curt nod, bracing yourself for the exclusion, and reminding yourself to not get attached to any one of them, especially the Enforcers. They had a bad tendency to get killed here, and you didn’t want to relive that. You had seen a few other generations of the division one staff, and only a few left unscathed, if you could even call it that way.
“Now that everybody’s here, I’d like to present myself and my colleague. His name is Kei Mikhail Ignatov, and I’m Arata Shindo. We’re very excited to work with you !”
The shorter of the two men was the one who spoke, his yellowish eyes glittering underneath his fluffy brown hair. He looked so… innocent. The other inspector named Kei was taller, sported a short cut of black hair and felt definitely colder… Especially with those blue eyes. What an odd duo, you thought to yourself.
The Enforcers then decided to say their names. The only other woman from the lot was Kisaragi Mao, and the timid-looking red haired boy stuttered out a “Hinakawa Sho, pleasure to meet you”. The older, white-haired man said he was Todoroki Temma, and pointed his thumb toward a grumpy-looking tall man with a goatee and an earring. You already felt like these two were troublemakers, and you sighed internally.
“And this guy’s name is Kazumichi Irie”
What
A loud buzzing noise had overcome everything else when you heard the name. Your mind was reeling, you knew that name, you knew that name ! You felt engulfed in a fog, everything veiled around you but that, and that loud, shrill sound in your ears. Heat rushed to your head, numbness to your body, and a physical pang of pain to your gut.
All the members of the first division were looking at you, expecting you to maybe say your name and present yourself, but you were too stunned to do so. Simultaneously, their watches activated and warned them.
“Attention, a hue is degrading quickly in your vicinity. It has exceeded authorized values. Please take action.”
The ringing in your ears became unbearable, and with a quick “excuse me” you rushed out of the office towards your room.
A few instants later, a call came in from Karanomori to one of the inspectors, and addressed everybody present.
“Sorry about that, she’s a bit special. I’ll do the presentations for her since she couldn’t.”
She pitched in your name with a drag of her cigarette.
“The alert is normal, as I said, she’s a bit weird. She’ll tell you more if she want to, but basically she’s confined like Enforcers are. She’s not a criminal per se, but her Crime Coefficient cannot be measured.”
Eyes widened in the room at that revelation.
“Her hue can be measured, as indicated by the alert, but it fluctuates a lot and usually settles in the clear tones, so no worries. She’s just an oddball and Sybil decided to keep her close because of that. She also has Mentalist abilities, so feel free to ask her for help about your ongoing cases.”
Behind her screen, Shion sighed again. Why were you letting her do all the hard work ? You’d have to repay her for that.
Back into your room, you frantically undressed and ripped the bandaid you so carefully and casually applied earlier, this time scrutinizing your mark in the mirror. Studying each letter, you compared it to the name you were just given and there was no doubt left. It was the same name. Fear, dread and anguish washed over you as the information settled in, like a stone in your gut.
“Of all people he had to be an Enforcer, of all people he had to be an Enforcer !”
You held your head in your hands and wanted to curl into a ball. Way to make first impressions too…
Feeling a bit cold, you put on the oversized sweater you wore during the weekend and laid on your bed, retracting under the covers. Why now ? Who is he ? Did you really want to know ? A myriad of questions rushed into your mind, until you managed to calm down a bit and popped your head back outside of the confines of your duvet. You checked your hue and yep, it was definitely darker. You let out a sigh and thought about the whole situation. What a shock, to hear that name out of all of names. As if sensing your unease, the marking on your ribs itched a bit, reminding itself to you in a way it had never before.
Your watch buzzed and you took the call, it was from Shion.
“What are you doing ? I had to present you to the new inspectors myself. God, what happened ?”
“Yeah sorry, I was feeling kinda shy meeting the new team” you lied “I’ll tell them I’m sorry tomorrow”
“Tomorrow ?!” Shion’s voice screeched at you “There is a case today, and if you’re not in my lab in 30 minutes to hear about it I’ll send someone drag you there !”
Gosh, she wasn’t cutting you any slack.
“Please ? I’d risk clouding their hues with mine” you pleaded, showing the crimson indicator for your mental state. The analyst narrowed her eyes.
“You know as well as I do that your hue fluctuates a lot because of your emotions. So either you tell me what was really the problem” she took a drag of her cigarette “or it was just a temporary stress and you’ll handle just fine in 30 minutes” she ended with a smile.
Defeated, you grumbled an “Okay” and ended the call. You didn’t really have a choice, did you ? You didn’t want to tell anyone about your soulmate. You didn’t even want to admit it yourself ! But for the sake of Shion and the trouble you had given her all those past years and today, you crawled out of your bed and prepared to go out, again.

Well folks, it’s time for me to once again shake off all the conflicting feelings and nagging thoughts I’ve had about Tumblr RPing and the general community. Yup, another semi-off-the-cuff Rambling. And I’m using the tiny text this time, so you know it’s big.
I… honestly don’t feel comfortable calling it off-the-cuff given how many times I’ve edited and organized this, but it breaks my usual rules of a Rambling due to how blunt it is, so… here we are. I want to say this will be the last time I make an off-the-cuff post like this, but I also know I’m going to be doing posts like this for as long as I continue to RP, especially on Tumblr. My gripes will never cease, and I always have something to whine about.
But with that all said…
Nitpicks that Bug Allen
I’m going to just knock out the smaller issues I have with the RPC now before I really start rant and rave about the issues I want to get to. For those who have been following me long enough to know about my ramblings and gripes these are probably issues you’ve heard me talk about once or twice… or thrice. In any case here are the short ones, or at least the ones I can summarize in a sentence or two:
People still have very long bios and rules pages and it needs to stop. I’ve talked about these five times and I the fact I’m bring it up again  just makes me mad.
Speaking of continuing issues, passwords are still a thing too. Get rid of them. You wouldn’t need them if your rules page was short to begin with.
Also gonna’ say this again, but musing and aesthetic posts do nothing to show your character’s personality, traits, or themes, you’re writing does.
I’m starting to see blogs with half-finished or non-existent about pages promoting     themselves. No. Stop that. Finish the blog or drop it, don’t do it halfway and expect to be rewarded.
Probably gonna’ be its own section in this giant Rambling but stop trying to world-build outside of your character. That’s annoying and it makes more work for your partners that’ll be a wasted effort if you yourself only     adhere to it when it works for you.
Dash Commentary. It’s either funny or it’s metagaming. If you aren’t making a comment about something happening to be funny, then don’t post it, that gets very annoying in more plotted storylines.
Pretty sure judolette/Lita covered this at some point, but canon blogs depending on wiki links for bios… no.
Power Levels are still a thing that piss me off, but I’ll go into this later, for now just watch this, this, and this to get an idea of what power levels mean in terms of writing. The short version is that you don’t have the luxury of a universal power scale on     Tumblr, so you have to actually show strength instead of imply it.
Well, I just said the P-word, so I guess I’ll just get to meat of it now…
Power Levels and Fight RPs
Apparently, I can’t talk about this without going on a rant, so here we are. Okay, quick question for anyone that’s been following and reading Claudia’s stuff for a while.
How strong do you think Claudia is?
Take a moment to think about that. On a scale of one to ten, where do you think Claudia stands? Feel free to message me the answer if you want. If you want some context she’s canonically fought a dragon, a ninja, an alien mercenary, a monster hunter, a vampire-hunting vampire, and so on.
Okay, have your answer? Good.
You’re wrong. Claudia is as strong or weak as she needs to be for the plot to have stakes. Her strength in terms of value is irrelevant so long as its believable.
Claudia is strong enough to match her super alien girlfriend, but weak enough to be hard countered by the four-foot inquisitor. Strong enough that she can face off against the six-foot dragon gatekeeper barehanded, but weak enough for the creepy space witch from space to scare her despite her brave face. Strong enough to 1v1 an actual dragon, but weak enough to get overpowered by her little sisters.
You get the point?
Is it clicking?
I’m not even talk about things that happened off screen, Claudia has fought against all these threats and people in canon. When it comes to fight RPs my logic on if an attack hits or misses is simply what reaction creates the best reply. This is why Claudia consistently gets wrecked by Nero but is having an epic kung fu battle with Meiling, it’s interesting and cool. It’s why Temma and Claudia’s sparring matches are low-key and simple while Syn’s fights are bombastic and having them throw each other through buildings like a DBZ fight.
Again, is it clicking? This is basically how a lot of pro-wrestling works.
Granted, I’ll admit I don’t plot a lot of the RP fights on this site because I see Tumblr RPing as a lot more free-formed than in the forums where nearly everything is a plot line to an extent. This place tends to have a lot of on-and-off RPs that can go quiet and dead for weeks and months before getting started again. That… makes me hesitant to plot anything that isn’t silly or nonsensical because the chances of it truly playing a role in a plotline can get wrecked the moment someone goes dark for a month.
But speaking of Tumblr RPing...
How Allen Views RPing
I think this is the main thing that gets my goat for a lot of the things that go on with the RPC here on Tumblr. To me, role-playing is just that, playing a role. The main idea behind it being to make a character and write them in whatever wacky adventures you and your partners can think up while keeping some thread of continuity and stakes. To that end the biggest thing I like to see as a writer in this type of medium is convincing and interesting characters that would mesh well with the characters I’ve written, be it their personality, background, mannerisms, writing style of the writer, etc..
Or you’re a shipping/smut blog that just wants to kiss and bang. No judgement either way that’s just not what I’m into, at least not on Tumblr.
But back to my point, this type of writing is very character driven. It depends a lot on making an interesting character in background, premise, personality, and actions, as well as showing those things through the writing.
I know I make it sound complex, but for me, if I find a character that can punch Claudia in the face and will, in fact, do so if challenged then that’s enough to at least get me interested in a plot of some kind. Granted, there are some nuances for that, but I’m a pretty simple guy at the end of the day.
You see my point, right? A lot of RPing revolves around the character and making them feel real, or at least probable. This is a part of story writing too, but it’s not the only thing to worry about when writing a story, and it doesn’t have to be the focus unlike RPing.
This also plays into why I don’t partake in nor appreciate things like musings or aesthetic posts. Those don’t sell people on the character, what you write sells people on the character. Pictures, quotes, and other aesthetics do little to show how your character behaves and acts, they’re a shortcut to skip out on writing a character, and I refuse to partake in it.
Essentially, it’s a lot telling and not much showing, and that pisses me off.
I know I sound like a bit of a hypocrite since I occasionally post my drawings of Clauds and her musings, but in my defense most of my posts involve actual writing and her musings are writing in character to her specifically.
And on that note...
Allen’s Views on Canon Blogs
A lot of what I said about writing your character and show their personality and traits through said righting mostly applied to OC blogs and OCs. I won’t go into the nitty-gritty of character writing, but the basics are to just write a character, a premise/goal for that character, and keep the personality and behavior consistent with what you’ve previously established.
Canon characters are a different story.
Well, not completely. I see canon blogs in a similar way, but under much more scrutiny. With an OC you just need to make sure your character is within the grounds of what you’ve written in their profile. So long as it’s probable it’s not OOC or cheating.
Canon characters don’t get that much leeway.
The same principle of selling your character applies, but now with a character that already has an established background, personality, and expectations by fans of the series. This is the reason I think a lot of canon blogs in the RPC get into drama. The fact that these characters already have established backgrounds and expectations can cause a lot of people to get in a fit when those expectations aren’t met. When someone veers off too much from established canon without good reason it breaks the emersion and people get annoyed by that. This is also why when I use to be involved in Canon blogs I usually went with side characters or main characters from very small/unnoticed properties.
Like I said, the idea of selling the character still applies, but that also means the musing and aesthetic postings I mentioned before annoy me even more for canon blogs. The fact that there’s already a lot that we know about these characters to begin with means there’s no real reason to try and cheat by using musings or aesthetic post to get an idea of the character, we already know them or there’s a wiki page that explains them. Or your profile did what it was supposed to and gave us a basic idea of what the character is about. The only case I would see for a reason to cheat would be if your character was diverting from canon in an extreme way.
Which is a nice segue to…
Canon Divergent Blogs
I see two main types of Divergent blogs.
The first type are the blogs that pop up because a character was killed off in canon or put in some state of incapacity like a coma or warped to another dimension, or… just written out of the media for some reason. In this case I think a divergent blog is fine. There might be some narrative issues that would lead to certain characters not evolving or developing because of the sacrifices made or the attempts at realism within the story might ring hallow, but that’s overall harmless in the grander scheme of things and there are some writing tricks to make a fake-out death just as meaningful as a real one.
However... the second type has me worried.
The second type is usually some variation of “this character was written poorly by my standards and I’m rewriting them to what they should properly be.” As someone writing their own story and has attempted to write several stories in the past, I’ll tell you straight up that story writing is hard as hell and RPing is a cakewalk by comparison. Making a story from scratch with consist and entertaining characters that have unique character designs and personalities is probably one of the hardest things to do. And that’s just writing, I can’t even imagine the trials animators and professional comic/manga artists go through in order to do the same for all the work it takes to have a series, let alone a successful one.
This stuff isn’t easy, though I do understand the mindset. If character X got shafted and you want to give them a better shake, fine. But… be wary when you assume the version of the character you’re writing is the better one or what was supposed to be, especially for children’s media/anime. Just… remember that you’re writing for a character that was probably made for kids and not an older adolescence crowd, no matter how dark or deep the writing got. When a canon character deviates so far from the original Canon can you really say they’re the same person?
That said, as an OC blog that doesn’t follow a particular canon universe, I myself have no real stake if Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto starts acting like a happy-go-lucky ditz, or if Jin Kisaragi from Blazblue actually starts to visibly care about people other than Ragna and Tsubaki. Claudia has nothing to do with character, so what they do and her reactions to their interactions is... eh, negligent at best in the grand scheme of things.
I… don’t have a good segue to this next topic, so…
Shipping
A bit random, but I wanna’ get my opinions on shipping out the way while I’m here. This is something I’ve never really understood, neither in RPing nor in fandom.
From a writer’s perspective, a romantic subplot is tricky because it an easily become the focus and create a huge genre shift that will annoy your main demographic. As such, when two characters get together it’s usually at the end of a story and end it there, because writing a continuous relationship with ups and downs can be difficult when you’re an action series about explosions and punching people. However, the general rules of writing a relationship is usually to keep the character... well, in character. I’ve talked about this before as well, but Claudia dating Syn doesn’t change a lot about their personalities, or at least Claudia’s. She’s still a tomboyish girl that likes fighting, she still picks fights with essentially everyone, she still... acts like Claudia. The only addition is that she’ll occasionally mention she has a girlfriend, and even then she’ll admit that their relationship isn’t the greatest. Syn is always on missions or jobs off planet that just leave Claudia to hang out with her robot maids. Syn is noticeably stronger than Claudia and that ruffles her pride a bit. Syn does a lot of dirty jobs that could harm Claudia’s reputation further if political enemies learned about Claudia’s relationship with her. Hell, Syn is substantially older than Claudia by hundreds of years and that age gap itself creates issues of perspective. This is just a series of things to touch and write about.
Ah, but I was talking about how this played into RPing.
Again, from a writer’s perspective my main question is does the ship make some form of sense and will the ship create a genre shift that turns what I was originally watching/reading into some romantic series. If the pairing can make sense and the tone/genre remain steady, then I see no issue with it. In terms of RPing, so long as the ship doesn’t lead to you never replying to other RPs and keeping your character consistent with your original premise then I see no issue with it.
So I’ll never understand why people get so riled up about this. Folks need to realize that these are fictional characters that aren’t real. Who they date won’t affect you, and unless it cripples the writing, I don’t think it needs complaint. But then again, romance is my weakest point as a writer next to smut, so… who knows, maybe I’m off base with this one.
I… also don’t have a good segue for this one either, so let’s talk about…
Multi Muse Blogs
To every multi-muse blog following me right now. I want you to do me a favor and pick out your top five characters, the top five that you always like writing for and playing as. You got them figured out?
Okay, delete everyone else from your blog.
Take it from a guy that ran a Multi-Muse blog for three years, don’t just add every random muse that pops into your head. Figure your top five and if you need to have more then make them side muses and specify on your blog somewhere, they’re side muses. Remember all that talk I gave about keeping things in your profile short and simple? Well now you have +5 characters, so that because a requirement if you want to keep your blog running smoothly. Everything I said before about running a blog, aesthetic posts, and so on just become five times more important now because you making five times the work for anyone coming to your blog.
Here’s a quick rundown of how I managed my multi-muse blog:
It’d be best to keep every character within the same world/universe or following a similar theme, my OC mutli-muse was focused on mercenaries and my canon multi-muse had all the characters from the same organization for an example.
Make your profiles short and simple. This is very important because you have 5+ characters and we need to get an idea about them very quickly.
Again, try and keep the limit around five. If another OC pops into your head do me a favor and write a short story about it if you really need to write them, keep them away from your blog unless they’re absolutely needed.
Wouldn’t hurt to get a page code from theme-hunters and have a small blurb about each character either. I know that’s a lot of work, but it really helps when it comes to summarizing a character at a glance.
That’s all I can really say on the matter.
And yet another bad segue…
World Building and Verses
Pretty sure I talked about this several times before, but let me put it in basic terms:
If it’s not relevant to your character, it’s not relevant to us. Your world’s 5 deities mean jack if your character isn’t religious and not actively worshiping one of them while warring with the other four. That long 5-page essay about your world’s magic means jack if your character doesn’t use magic, and even if they do just describe it in a way that’s relevant to your character. Your character’s ancient sword passed down from the great hero king means jack if that king isn’t King Arthur or someone of actual world renown. Hell, this is why a canned the lore of Claudia’s spear in her profile, it wasn’t that relevant to Claudia as a character nor did a play a part in any RP, so it was pointless text and I removed it.
Again, I’ve said this before, but Tumblr RPing doesn’t work like a group/forum RP. Your character’s world is automatically fuses with everyone else’s unless there’s a specific verse for it like RWBY. That world has a lot of specific rules and systems relevant to it, but nearly every other universe is just a spin on modern fantasy, which I be glossed off with a bit of creativity. This is how Claudia’s Soul Eater verse works. Soul Eater is within a modern world, but has supernatural elements like people that can fly and shoot lasers and the like. Claudia’s canon world has those things too, but not cars and other modern devices. At the same time, the Soul Eater verse can keep Claudia as a normal human with some decent fighting skills and keep her skills relevant.
Let’s be real, being able to wield a spear or other melee weapons is pointless in our modern world, but if said weapons were the only way to kill demons and other monstrosities, then people that can master those weapons have worth and can beat up said monsters and other threats with melee weapons without people batting an eye at it. The Soul Eater verse isn’t there just for the sake of Soul Eater, but for the sake of Claudia interacting with characters in a Modern setting that won’t destroy her premise of low-born noble joining military to no suck dick.
Actually, I’ve been talking a lot about writing, and I think that’s the last of things that truly annoy me about RPing on this site, so I think I’ll concluded this with…
Something of a Disclaimer
Now that I got all that out of my system let me say this while I have your attention, because I know I probably ruffled some feathers with this post.
Don’t take what I said to mean I think Claudia is being written with the idea of exploring deep themes, complicated relationships, or anything like that. Claudia is a Black, lesbian knight from Medieval-RPG-Fantasy -France that wields a black spear that can transform into other phallic weapons and is dating a cannibal alien mercenary from outer space while sparring with her robo-maids. She is currently training/mentoring an android that was made/adopted by a hyper-sexual dimensional space witch from space. Her circle of friends consists of a ninja, two catgirls, a vampire, ghost skeleton, and her samurai uncle. And need I remind you of all the times I’ve even taken my potshots at her. Trust me, I’m not saying my character is a stream of good writing.
For example, I’m trying to write my own original story. It was originally going to be about forest ninjas solving a civil war/political schism, but that got canned when I started to work on the world-building and realized writing out a solid civil war plotline was too difficult for someone of my skill. So, I changed it over to kung fu girls and that’s slowly turning into a series of vignettes with an over-arcing plot about a turf war in the background, something in the vein of K-On in terms of structure (a little ironic given the main character is named Kyo-Annie).
This isn’t even my first time trying to write about the kung fu girls or the ninja girls, this is my third attempt at both over a year’s time. Writing, especially for a story, is hard. You need a well-made plot, decent world-building, entertaining characters, good sentence structure, unique writing style, and so on. Not to mention understand enough about the very language you’re writing in to make sure all the words flow properly. I honestly have no idea how you multi-lingual folks do it, I’m truly impressed by you guys.
But the point is, writing a story and writing a character are very different things, and I’m someone that’s been leaning more towards story-writing as time goes on than character writing. Writing Claudia’s character involves me making sure her dialogue and actions match up with what I’m presenting as a tomboyish, competitive jock that likes fighting and wants to maybe be a princess. Writing Claudia’s story involves me delving into things like upward social mobility, researching medieval politics and warfare, talking about themes of conservative tradition vs. progressive advancement at the cost of identity, whether losing oneself for the sake of their goals is worth it, and the list just goes on.
It's like I said in my views of RPings, I see this as a very different form of writing and when doing a story, especially on Tumblr. You don’t have the luxury of icons to show expressions, or a profile to get a basic idea of a character. A lot of world-building needs to be done properly and carefully integrated into the story. You can’t just randomly add character upon character without it getting called out as impulsively hopping POVs. There’s just… a lot to keep in mind, and as I start writing these stories and get more involved in writing off Tumblr, the more… Tumblr annoys me.
Ugh, this got depressing. I think I’ll talk about something positive next time. Anyway folks, this 3000+ word Rambling is done. Hopefully I’ll talk about something more fun later.
Like fight RPs and fight narratives, those are always fun.

Week of: December 17th
9-11 Class Learning Highlights
Language Arts
4th grade: This week we continued reading The Tiger Rising as a group and discussed more characters and their traits, using evidence from the text for support. Book clubs are wrapping up their reading and discussing characters’ traits and motivations, changes in setting, and theme.
5th grade: This week we continued reading Home of the Brave as a group and students discussed with deeper understanding what it’s like for the main character Kek to live in America. Book clubs are wrapping up their reading and discussing characters’ traits and motivations, changes in setting, and theme. All 5th grade students also participated in the first round of the Luria Spelling Bee!
Math
Shelby 4th grade: This week students multiplied two-digit multiples of 10 by two-digit multiples of 10 using an area model.  We used place value disks to represent two-digit by 1-digit multiplication.  We extended the use of place value disks to represent three- and four-digit by one-digit multiplication and connected the area model and partial products methods to the standard algorithm.
Jen 4th grade: This week students continued to practice solving multiplicative comparison word problems. We also learned how to multiply by 10, 100, and 1,000 using the place value chart.
5th grade: This week, students rounded decimals to any place value using the vertical number line.  Students also wrapped their learning of the first half of the place value and decimal fractions unit with a celebration!
Science
It’s an end of the year special lesson! We recapped all of the major scientific breakthroughs from this past year, as well as the new discoveries that have been made. After that, we took a peek at some of the projects being worked on right now and what we can expect to see in the near future.
History
4th grade: Students continued learning some of the vocabulary and background information that is necessary to study Native American history and culture. This week, we focused on the different regions where Native Americans lived.
5th grade: In our American Revolution learning, students learned about the battles of Lexington and Concord, Paul Revere’s ride, and some of the major differences between Patriot and Loyalist Colonists.
Hebrew
Dorit’s groups: We continued to read the story of the people of Chelm pushing the mountain. This week our reading was accompanied by audio; the audio assisted the children with their reading. Additionally, the students were engaged in multiple writing activities. They asked and then answered their own questions and generated short summaries.
Daphna’s group: We continued to work on practicing different past tense conjugation with all pronouns and introduced new verbs of travel. We spoke about places in the world we’ve been in and what we saw and got there.
Chumash
Rashi and Ramban: We focused this week on classifying Rashi’s questions according to different question categories. We learned how to use many words and learned some relevant Rashi’s and classified the answer. We continued to discuss the conversation between Rivka and Ya’akov and spent time on deepening our understanding of the characters.
Eben Ezra: We focused this week on classifying Rashi’s questions according to different question categories. We learned how to use many words and learned some relevent Rashi’s and classified the answer. We started Parashat Miketz, and focused on the dreams of פרעה and the risk the שר המשקים took when he reminded פרעה of this sins. We learned and classified relevant Rashi’s.
Kindness: We wrapped up the story of Yitzchak rebuilding Avraham’s wells by focusing on different vocabulary in the text. Through this examination we see how legacies are passed down and how people take on their personal responsibility. This unit concludes with students using the text to create artwork as well as playing in The Word Series, a baseball inspired game using vocabulary words to score runs.
The Dreamers: We are in the middle of creating our artifacts from the Yosef story. Students are creating things like Yosef’s torn uptunic, the dream journal of Yosef, cupbearer and baker, dirt from the pit Yosef was thrown into and spices from the merchants who sold him. Using text to help support their creations, students will then record themselves giving a description of the artifact for our classwide museum.
Mishnah
4th grade: Students continued their learning in the 6th perek of Mishnah Brachot and studied some of the categories of foods which do not “grow in the ground.”
5th grade: 5th graders began learning the 4th perek of Mishnah Brachot, which focuses on the recitation of the Amidah.
Community Time
As a group, we learned how to use a tool called “Build Connections” which we learned about through Character Lab. Students listed hobbies, interests, and personal goals, as well as topics they learn about in school. Then they made connections and drew conclusions about how concepts and skills acquired in school can help them be successful in life.

Urasawa’s Monster (73-74)
Episode 73 - The landscape of the End (Or, Temma the doctor) The rain continued. Wim's father alone on the street, "Everyone's dead...A devil...a devil came to this town!"
Temma and Bonaparte about to enter Bergbach Hotel, Wim came running, telling Temma that a girl showed up looking for him. The girl looked like the twins in drawings. "Nina..." said Temma. "So, they call her Nina now. She's called Nina now. " "Yes. Nina Fortner."
Tears ran down Bonaparte's face.
Tumblr media
"You always said people should cherish their names, right, Mr Poppe?"
Bonaparte told Wim to go hiding in the general store. And the three of them saw Johan.
Tumblr media
Temma drew his gun, pointed at Johan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bonaparte hit Temma and he dropped to the ground. Then Bonaparte pointed a gun at Johan.
Tumblr media
A gunshot. Bonaparte got shot in the neck and dropped on his knees.
Tumblr media
Nina and Gillen ran on the street. "We have to find Bonaparte. Back then, at the Red Rose Mansion, he said to me, 'Listen. Forget everything you just saw now. Run away from here, as far as you can. Because you see, people can become anything. You are both beautiful jewels. That's why you can't become monsters.'"
Tumblr media
"That's what he said to me. That's why I..."
Roberto walked to Bonaparte, then he slumped. "Show me..."
Tumblr media
"You can't see it."
"Dr. Temma. To you, all life was equal. That's why I was revived. But you should have realized it by now. The only thing everyone is equal in is death."
Tumblr media
"You can see it, too. The landscape of the end."
Tumblr media
Nina and Gillen arrived. She asked Temma not to shoot. Then, turned to Johan, "I forgive you. Even if we were the last two people in the world, I'd forgive you. That's what I can do for you." "You can't. Something can't be taken back. I can't turn back now. Dr. Temma is going to shoot me."
Tumblr media
Johan took out a gun in his pocket and pointed it at Wim.
A bullet fired.
Tumblr media
Johan fell to the ground. No one said anything. No scream, no gasping for air. Nothing. Everyone was stunned. Everyone was quiet. Just the sounds of the rain.
Tumblr media
Wim's father walked on the street, still muttering "A devil...a devil came to this town and slaughtered everyone." He saw Johan pointing a gun at his son. And then he saw something in Johan.
Tumblr media
He stepped back, screamed "Monster, get away from my son!" and fired.
Police reinforcement and paramedics arrived at Ruhenheim. News crew too. A police officer detained Wim's father and he reported the reason the suspect pulled a trigger was that...
Tumblr media
Lunge got carried out on a stretcher. He told the police that Roberto was responsible for the deaths.
Police saw the lottery couple and asked them who they were. Then the husband realized he dropped the lottery ticket somewhere and intended to go look for it.
The wife said it was not needed. They could live as they were. "That's enough for me."
Lunge was placed next to Johan, he asked the paramedics if the young man was alive. They replied "With that head injury, even the best neurosurgeon..." "No, there is one person. Please go get him."
Tumblr media
Nina said...
Tumblr media
"Temma, you weren't wrong. What you did back then, and what you are going to do now..."
Temma got on his feet and walked away from Nina. He patted Wim on his shoulder and walked to the helicopter.
In an operation theater, Temma walked to Johan, looked at him for like 15 seconds, then closed his eyes briefly
Tumblr media
Then
Tumblr media
End of episode 73
74 - The real monster (Or, what would happen next?)
Kal was reading Latin text to his father Mr. Schubert. He still didn't get every pronunciation right, but nonetheless better than when he first started, the old man said. Mr. Schubert then asked about Dr. Temma and was told that the Japanese doctor was traveling around the world.
Eva got a job as an interior designer and she was no longer alcoholic. Dr. Reichwein commended her progress. And the topic of their conversation shifted to "happiness". And for all the good things and bad that happened in life, people had a convenient makeup with the tendency of remembering only the happy memories.
In a visit to Grimmer's grave, Suk introduced Vardaman to Grimmer, saying that the suspicions against him had been cleared by the lawyer. They were joined by Lunge, who became an instructor at a police academy.
Dr. Temma visited a Catholic monastery in southern France. He saw the woman he befriended and sat down next to her. The doctor visited her many times before already. And this time she said, "I feel like I can talk about anything. No matter how frightening it may be." Wind started blowing in mid-sentence. The woman turned to Temma, "You have something you want to ask me, don't you?" "You're the mother of the twins, aren't you?" Wind stopped. Moments of silence before Temma asked the question,  and moments of silence before the mother said yes, with a sad expression. "I loved him. He was killed by that man. Killing him was that man's experiment. I will never forgive him. Even if I died, the children that were growing inside of me would surely deliver punishment to that man."
"'Please don't...please don't let go of my hand.'"
Tumblr media
"Are the children alive?" "Yes. They're doing well."
Tumblr media
"I remember. I will probably never recall this again. I have to say this now. I gave those children names. Their names are..."
Nina ran to see her professor to hear his comment on her graduation thesis. After saying things that implied a bad result, the professor said Nina's thesis was the best he had seen thus far. Upon learning that Nina intended to become a lawyer, the professor wished her luck and
Tumblr media
Temma went to Bavarian State Police Hospital to visit Johan.
Tumblr media
"You've been asleep since then. Can you hear me?" "I've spoken with your mother. She loves you very much. She told me your real name. You had a name." Wind blew.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Dr. Temma. There's one thing I want to ask you, and only you. Back then, that monster appeared before me."
Flashback: Chapek and Bonaparte at the door to take a child away for experiment. The twins' mother screamed. "Don't touch my children! No!"
Tumblr media
Bonaparte, "This is an experiment."
Tumblr media
"Now, which one will we take?" Both Johan and Anna begged her not to let go.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eventually, she decided to let one go.

"Did my mother try to save me? Or did she mistake me for my sister?"
Tumblr media
"Who was the one she didn't want?"
Temma closed his eyes and opened again and saw
Tumblr media
But it felt very real...
Tumblr media
Temma got up and said he would be going. He left after looking back at Johan again.
Wind blew.
Johan's bed became empty.
End of episode 74
Comment: Episode 73: It felt as though Dr. Temma's search for redemption had come full circle. His nightmare began when he realized one of the patients killed people because of something he said. More than a decade after the first surgery on that same person, he operated on Johan again, this time fully aware of the sort of person Johan was, after having spent years trying to kill him, Dr. Temma now saw in front of him a live to be saved. And he did what was expected of a doctor.
Episode 74: The first thought I had when Johan's bed became empty was that he jumped out of the window. But on a second thought, that didn't feel like what Johan would do. He wanted to know the answer to the question that had been troubling him for years. Did his mother let him go by mistake, or did she really want to keep his sister and not him. He might have sneaked out the hospital like he did years ago.

Blank Slate (Kazumichi Irie x Reader - Soulmate AU) Part 3
author’s note
This chapter is a bit longer than i expected, i kinda messed up my own chronology of the events but i hope it’s still okay. I really want to get to writing the next chapter too !
Tumblr media
Today’s affair was about a man named Tsuchiya Kojo, who apparently committed suicide by jumping from his hotel room. He was there for therapy, since the wealthier part of the population preferred luxurious hotels to regular treatment centers. This time around, you weren’t with the team on-site, but you were in constant communication with them, as they investigated the room and saw the broken television, the locked doors and finally, the window that had been snapped off. You got to hear how Inspector Shindo identified there were some sorts of guards in front of the door, preventing Tsuchiya from getting out, from the footprints in the plush carpeting of the hallway. It wasn’t hard to guess that the deceased might not have been there of his own will, but rather detained.
You were in line with Kisaragi, who methodically said what clues they had found and what they were doing. The scenario got a bit erratic when Shindo almost jumped out of the hingeless window, barely caught by Ignatov. You felt that the Enforcer you were talking with did not understand fully the methods of the new Inspectors, but that she had decided to accept them. She was a stern, not very talkative individual, that had put very clear boundaries between her personal and professional life, not like Todoroki or Kazumichi. That did not mean the latter had no secrets, but Kisaragi had put up walls, and they were extremely tangible. It gave her an unreachable aura, which was why you had a bit of trouble keeping the conversation up with her, reminding her you were still listening to her by humming or saying “okay”.
When they were done at the hotel, you were asked to do a quick personality check on the gubernatorial candidates, Komiya Karina and “Herakles”. In the meantime, the Inspectors split up and went to interview the two potential suspects. While they were getting to their respective rendez-vous, you briefed the team about Komiya and Yakushiji.
Yakushiji Kosuke was an ex-fighter, partaking in human vs machine matches that were approved by Sybil. His motto was “a healthy mind in a healthy body”, and that was because he was genetically engineered to be a perfect athlete. Using eugenics, Yakushiji was supposed to have a set of perfect genes, thus making his Psycho-Pass clear.
Looking at the man, you also could conclude that he was the closest thing to a dumb but strong boy. He was a puppet, a front for his party to then do what they wanted, he was just there to sell a dream. “Therefore” you mused “I think his secretary or assistant will be the one to possess all the info, and they should be protective”. Considering the man’s past as an official fighter, you evocated the possibility of him having a strong sense of honor and responsibility as well as outwards enthusiasm, considering how well his Psycho-Pass fared. People that don’t worry for themselves are able to care for others.
Komiya, on the other hand, was the one holding the reins. She was a façade, but she also had a mind of her own. During the interview, there were chances that she wouldn’t hand over any info and that it would be her assistant that could possibly let something slip, but most likely because of body language. Komiya Karina was an idol, so she had mastered holding her attitude under pressure. It would be useless to try and pry information forcefully from her.
Shindo and Ignatov thanked you for your input and ended the call.
The interviews went pretty much as expected. You couldn’t go wrong with analyzing simple personality patterns like that, politicians were archetypes after all. It was just an issue of finding who they were, and who were they with. Looking at somebody’s entourage could tell you a good deal about that person, and professional contacts were no exceptions, especially when it was your assistant that you had to meet with on a day-to-day basis.
As the Inspectors and Enforcers came back to their offices, you received a message from Shion telling you there was a welcoming party for Shindo and Ignatov, held in the Enforcer’s lounge area. You tensed up a bit, the place holding some painful memories for you, but told the analyst you were coming for a few drinks anyways.
So much for not getting attached…
You had a bit of time before the party, so you decided to clean your room a bit, and take a shower. Since you had been working from your room, it was a bit messy and you were still in pajamas. Oops. The perks and downsides of working from home, you joked internally.
The hot water eased some of the tension accumulated by your definitely bad posture, and you felt refreshed and energized as you exited the bathroom in a cloud of steam. You dressed up in an oversized, soft knitted shirt, corduroy shorts, thighs, and fluffy cream-colored boots you never wore because they weren’t formal enough and you feared ruining them. Feeling decently pretty for an afterwork meeting, you turned off the lights to your flat and exited to the hall.
The lounge area was on the same floor as yours, since it was an Enforcer-only area. You had yet to meet any of your colleagues there, though… Probably because you spent most of your time inside, you were something of an hermit. As the door slid open in front of you, you could see that everybody was already there and chatting. Even Hinakawa looked like he was having a good time, once he got past his crippling shyness. You took a seat on the leather couch and poured yourself a drink, focusing on the tiny bubbles inside your glass. Taking a sip, you noticed Todoroki was looking a bit dejected next to you. He still had that grumpiness about him, but there was a tinge of sadness to his posture expression too. You didn’t know how to tackle the subject though, but you had an idea of how to get past his hardboiled shell.
“So, how did it go with Yakushiji ? Was he nice ?” you asked him with a smile. He looked back at you and sighed, nothing but fatigue gracing his features.
“I don’t like all this political stuff. The guy is being manipulated and his assistant held onto information like a vice” he grumbled.
“Yes but what about Herakles ? I’ve heard he was supposed to be a perfect athlete or something”
You felt Todoroki tense up a bit.
“Aren’t you supposed to already know what he’s like ? You were the one to brief us about him”
Ah, aggression. You were expecting it though.
“Yeah, but I could be wrong too. May I ask again : what is your opinion about him ?”
You were intent of peeling all the layers the gruff old man had, until he showed his true nature. You waited patiently for him to answer, taking another sip from your glass.
“I guess he was nice” he finally conceded “I think he felt something about what happened during the interview and wanted to cheer me up or whatnot…” his voice got lower on the last part.
“Outwards empathy, told ya !” you nudged him with a grin, and felt the older man loosen up a bit more.
“But what happened then ? Did somebody hit you ?” you asked again, ridding your voice of any mischief so that he understood you were listening to him.
There, you felt his shell about to crack as he rubbed the back of his head, ruffling his thinning grey-white hair. He stared at his almost empty glass, and without looking up he finally opened up.
“You must have heard of the Todoroki family; they try to breed “perfect” people by gene-editing”. You listened attentively, encouraging him silently to continue.
“My brother and father were there, they must have been affiliated to the eugenics campaign Yakushiji is leading. They resent me for not having perfect genes and they consider me a shame to their family”
You winced at the self-inflicted exclusion Todoroki voiced there. You were right about him hiding his pain and bitterness under a cynical and detached front.
“They reacted as I expected when they saw me, but Yakushiji encouraged me to love myself and other nonsense”
When he said that, you understood that Temma was, in some way, still the child accused by his parents and the rejection they inflicted him still hurt him deeply. The unconditional support Yakushiji had thrown at him had startled him, and he didn’t know how to process it other than retracting into his usual grumpy self. Considering his family’s objective, he was surely blamed solely for existing, and still carried that weight around.
“You should listen to him, Temma” you said while smiling, using his first name as a way to distinguish him from the ones that hurt him, the Todoroki. “You know, there is a saying that we aren’t born human but that we become human. That’s because the key to our evolution is learning and adapting. Our brains change at every stage of our life, and therefore our identities do too.”
He was looking at you, a little puzzled.
“That means it’s not too late to become someone you’re proud of. For yourself, I mean, not for anybody else.”
In the end, the only one person you have to bear with the most is yourself, so better make it agreeable.
Temma smiled, and even though his stare was still sad and thoughtful, you knew it had lifted some weight off his shoulders just talking about it with someone. Someone that listened to him and thought about his interests, not theirs.
It was getting a bit late, so you bid him goodbye and rose to your feet, only to stumble and wobble quite pitifully. Kazumichi, who had just lost his game of billiard, helped you restore your balance and asked
“You okay ? Do you want me to accompany you back to your room ?”
Fuck.
“It’s okay” you smiled while trying to repress your resounding heartbeats “It’s not far away and I just drank two glasses or something”
But as you took another step towards the stairs, the room started to sway and you almost fell to the ground.
“Yeah sure, now I’m definitely coming with you” he chuckled, lending you an arm so that you could rest on it.
Fuck fuck fuck.
The trip back to your room was pretty uneventful, you hadn’t lied when you told him it wasn’t too long a way back there. You didn’t know if you were getting hot because of the alcohol, or because Kazumichi was so close to you. You could hear your heart in your ears, and you wished he couldn’t feel your trembling hands. Or maybe he thought it was because you were intoxicated, and you were okay with that.
“So, isn’t it hard for you to be treated like a latent criminal? Even though your Crime Coefficient can’t be measured ?”
The guy hadn’t heard about tact it seemed. Luckily for him, you were in a good mood and a rather compliant person, so you obliged.
“Latent criminals haven’t done any crime either, so it would be unfair for everybody. But it’s not hard, no.”
You had reached your door and you wobbled to it, unclasping your hand from Kazumichi’s arm and then turned to face him again.
“I have no memories of what life is outside of here, so I don’t have any reference of how it is to be free.”
You felt his sadness wash over you.
“But really, I’m treated well, I can access anything I want or need, and Shion is pretty cool” you grinned.
“Thank you for accompanying me back to-“
You spinned on your heels and were about to open your door when you tripped – again. The sliding doors identified you and opened as you were falling, promising a painful reception on the back of your head. You braced for the impact when you felt a sharp tug on your shoulder. You opened your eyes and realized that Kazumichi had caught your hand in his, preventing you from smashing your skull on the hard floor of your doorway.
At the contact, you felt a jolt of electricity, heat rushed through your arm and nestled right under your heart, in your ribs, right where your soulmark was. His hand felt large and warm on yours, and your mind suddenly flashed with suggestions of them roaming your body, embracing you tightly. The idea of him was dizzying, and you struggled to keep your grasp on reality.
Blushing profusely, you apologized to him as he pulled you back up. You were making a fool of yourself but he didn’t seem to mind, or maybe notice.
Cocking his head to the side, he flashed you a dazzling grin and you couldn’t help but notice the tips of his ears were red.
“Be careful, okay ?”
“Yeah, thank you… I’m sorry, I really must’ve drunk too much” you joked lightly while passing the threshold of your flat and hearing the doors slide shut behind you.
When you were finally alone in your obscured entranceway, you fell to your knees and hid your reddening face in your hands.
“HE KNOWS”

Urasawa’s Monster (67-68)
Episode 67 - I'm back (Or, a new vision)
Still standing on the rooftop looking down at Nina, Johan started talking about the things he experienced and saw after he was taken from his home at the Three Frogs.
At the main hall of the Red Rose Mansion, everyone was happy to see their achievement in person. All of them but Bonaparte drank a toast. There was no joy on his face, just boredom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Johan continued, "the forty-two people who were there died, except for one man, Franz Bonaparte. I ran, trying to escape from that place. I didn't notice when my arm was scratched by the thorns in the rose garden. I ran. When I arrived at the Three Frogs, you welcomed me home. I kept talking day after day, telling you all that I had experienced. Everything." Wind started blowing. Nina said "No".
Tumblr media
One time. Two times. Three times. The wind grew stronger after each time Nina said no. It became so strong that a chair was blown over.
Tumblr media
Temma arrived at the mansion, going in.
Sounds of gunshots from inside the mansion.
Temma got upstairs, saw Nina pointing a gun to her head. He took that gun out of her hand. Nina started talking about her memories of the Red Rose Mansion.
Tumblr media
She said Johan was wrong. The one taken to the Red Rose Mansion was her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Nina said it was her fault that Johan became a monster.
"I told Johan everything just a little while ago. Johan listened to my story, and he looked like he was smiling. But he also looked like he was crying. I've...I've never seen such an expression before. I couldn't shoot him. But he will probably destroy himself, just like me."
Chapek left his car, walked into the mansion, and told Temma that Johan would probably kill Bonaparte. But he doubted if that would end his madness. Chapek turned and left the mansion.
Chapek's bodyguards received a call and learned that one of his men, Edward, was killed by Chapek.
Outside the mansion, Chapek said to himself that something was missing from the sister's memories. Inside Johan's head..."was there one more memory?"
"I wonder...what exactly it was that we were trying to create?"
One of his bodyguards shot him in the head.
Temma and Nina left the mansion. As they walked, Temma alone did the talking, "Stay alive, at any cost. The place you should go, the place we should go, we'll definitely get there someday".
footsteps. A man welcomed a rare visit from his friend, Johan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Johan placed a gun on the table.
"Stop it." "I woke up from the dream." "You must be tired or something. What are you going to do about the plan?" "I woke up." "Wait a minute. Then why did I raise so much money?" "I woke up from the dream." "Then why did I kill all those people?" "I've seen the final scene so many times, but I see a different scene now." "The true final scene."
Tumblr media
Stood up, with the gun in his hand, Johan looked into the distance and said, "The memory that only I possess, the place where I should truly go..." Then, Johan pointed the gun at his friend and fired.
Footsteps away from that house.
"The place where I should go..."

"Ruhenheim. This is it."
End of episode 67
Episode 68 - Ruhenheim (Or, soon, all hell breaks loose)
Lunge booked a room at a hotel. Beside him, there were two other persons staying there at the time. A couple.
Lunge went to the police station of the town and said to an officer that "You should check everyone who comes into town starting now. Before anything terrible happens."
Grimmer also arrived at Ruhenheim. He went into the same hotel Lunge was in and asked if he could stay there for the night.
Grimmer got off a train, and heard a sound.
Tumblr media
Back at the hotel, he saw a woman by the name Hillman was looking for her dog and offered to help.
Grimmer walked across the town, eventually wound up at a sausage stall. He ordered a sausage and asked about Hillman's dog. The owner told him she once took that dog for a walk in the woods. And he found the dog.
Tumblr media
Lunge.
Tumblr media
"Do you think we could stop it?"
Tumblr media
A couple won the lottery and could pocket 20 million. The husband went to purchase two pistols and a sniper rifle, the wife became hysterically afraid of others finding out about it.
Wim, the hotel boy, went to the Vampire mansion to retrieve his bike.
Lunge and Grimmer were already in there to check things out.
They saw lots of unfinished drawings. And many sketches of twins. One of those was drawn when the twins were around 10.
Tumblr media
"No matter how many he drew..."
Tumblr media
A man was removing vines from his cowberry brushes when he heard approaching footsteps.
Turning around, he saw a stranger. And...
Tumblr media
End of episode 68.
Comment: Episode 67: When Temma got to Nina, she was the only one there, Johan was already gone. So no idea who fired at what and what happened to Johan before he showed up at the house of his, um, "friend" (should I use another word?). This person died in the first episode he was introduced like Milan Kolasch, and his screen time was even shorter. Seems like these two were plot devices only? One to foreshadow a change of heart in Temma, the other to indicate a change in how Johan perceived the end of the world thing.
Another thing. I found the translation of Temma's words as he and Nina left the mansion a bit strange: "Stay alive at any cost..." Normally people would say "no matter what", not sure what Temma actually said, couldn't hear clearly. But that's the translation there. Maybe to show how determined Temma was that Nina had to live?
Episode 68: A ruthless killer found his way to the quiet town where Franz Bonaparte used to live and draw pictures. He brought guns to a town where people wouldn't expect those. And Grimmer and Lunge knew a massacre was going to happen. The question would be how, and why?

Urasawa’s Monster (37-38)
Episode 37 - A nameless monster (Or, Consume all that is invaluable)
Episode began with recaps from the last episode. Then Anna started reading the content of the picture book out loud.
A monster without a name wanted one so badly that it went on a journey to find it. But the world was too big, so the monster split itself into two, one headed east, the other west. The monster that went east found a village, and asked the first person it met, a blacksmith, for his name, promising in exchange for that name it would make the man stronger. The blacksmith, named Otto, initially rejected the deal, eventually agreed to it. The monster entered his body through his mouth, and Otto became the strongest person in that village. Until one day, he said, "Look at me! Look at me! The monster inside me has grown this big!"
Tumblr media
And Otto was eaten by the monster from the inside out. The monster, now without a name again, started looking for a new host. It found a shoemaker. Then after eating its host again, the monster looked for another host. This time, a hunter. And the process started all over again. Each time it ended with "Chomp. Munch. Crunch. Gulp." The monster consumed each of the hosts its jumped inside, and lost its identity after each meal.
Tumblr media
That monster went to a castle, found a bedridden boy, and offered that deal again. The boy agreed, and he became very healthy. His father, the king, was overjoyed. The monster came to love the prince's name and his life in the castle so much that it refrained from eating the prince, even though it was very hungry. Until one day, the prince said, "Look at me! Look at me! The monster inside me has grown this big!"
Tumblr media
The prince started eating everyone around him, until there was no one left in the castle. And he left on a journey.
The prince walked, walked, and walked. Eventually he met the monster that headed west. He told the monster that he had a wonderful name, the monster replied:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And...
Tumblr media
Even though the boy had a wonderful name: Johan, there was no one left to call him by his name.
Tumblr media
End of story.
After Nina finished reading the book, Lotte asked about her real identity. Nina could only mutter, "I don't know."
Tumblr media
Nina asked the whereabouts of Johan, checked that her gun was inside her bad and headed straight to university library.
Cut to Dr. Temma. His target right in front of him. But he couldn't pull the trigger because his hand was shaking very uncontrollably.
Dr. Temma recalled Junkers, shot three times by Johan on the night of execution , and Mr. Mawler, and he told himself he had to shoot...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Johan looked straight at Dr. Temma’s direction.
Tumblr media
Dr. Temma, so focused on making himself pull that trigger, didn't realize Roberto creeped up behind him. The hitman pointed a gun at his head, knocked him over with it, and seized his gun.
Roberto aimed at Mr. Schubert, and was about to pull the trigger.
A woman with gasoline walked up to Johan and said the ceremony was a success and commended the popularity of Mr. Schubert, then walked off.
Johan walked to Mr. Schubert, helped him up and led him to the lectern.
Dr. Temma pushed Roberto off the shelf, and fell down to the floor with him. The two started a fight, but Dr. Temma was completely overpowered.
Finally figured out what Johan wanted to do, Mr. Schubert started his speech by telling everyone in the library to leave calmly in a single file.
The woman emptied the gasoline onto the floor and lit a match.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The books and the shelves engulfed in flames, everyone panicked.
Roberto, preparing to shoot Mr. Schubert as people started fleeing, was surprised by the fire, but quickly thought he could use that to his advantage. And he broke into a hysterical laughter at the thought of...
Tumblr media
Johan approached Mr. Schubert, described to him the commotion in the library...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Roberto's gun in his hands, Dr. Temma still making himself shoot, Roberto smirked and flatly saying the doctor couldn't do it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They pointed the guns in their hands at each other.
A shot was fired.
End of episode 37.
Episode 38 - the demon in my eyes (Or, Mission unaccomplished)
Episode began with recaps of the fire scenes, the chaos, and the fight between Dr. Temma and Roberto.
Flashbacks of the veteran mercenary telling Dr. Temma what to bear in mind when he needed to shoot. Again Dr. Temma kept telling himself he had to shoot, over and over and over again, each time less certain than the last, until his voice broke.
However, with his own life in imminent danger, Dr. Temma finally managed to shoot at another person in a close range. He shot Roberto in his right shoulder. The hitman still held the rifle and prepared to shoot the doctor. But he was hit a second time and fell off along with the rifle to the floor below.
Dr. Temma's hand finally stopped shaking. He tried to aim at Johan again, but his view was obscured by the heavy smoke. So he thought going downstairs would increase his chance.
But...with all the doors locked, all the people remained trapped inside. Dr. Temma decided to help them escape first.
Johan, still on stage with Mr. Schubert, spoke casually that many books were being consumed by the fire that was "trying to engulf everything", and Mr. Schubert asked Johan if that was all he wanted to do...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Didn't you aim to become my replacement?" Johan replied that he decided against that because something else came to mind, and then he pointed out the tycoon didn't seem to be afraid. The tycoon asked, "Where were you from? Who are you?" And Johan got real close to Mr. Schubert.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The camera zoomed in on the faces of the two men. Both with their eyes wide opened. "Can you see..."
Tumblr media
Anna/Nina arrived at the library, had a flashback of her foster parents, and she charged. Abruptly, the voice of Dieter stopped her. Turning around, Nina saw Dieter and Dr. Reichwein. The three realized a fire had broken out inside the library.
Cut to Schubert's study, Karl went in to look for the document his father told him to get. And there was one envelope on the desk. The moment Karl picked it up, something fell out of the envelope. It was a picture of Karl's mother.
Tumblr media
And Karl took out the document, an inquiry report on the death of Margot Langer, and read every page of it, the end of the report mentioned that a letter from Karl's mother was intercepted and a photocopy of it enclosed, Karl read it as well.
Back at the library, Dieter and Dr. Reichwein could not get in, and the many people inside could not get out. Dr. Temma emerged with Roberto's pistol, shot at the hinges and then...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It took the strength of three full grown men to knock down those doors. At last, people had an escape route in front of them.
Tumblr media
Dr. Temma checked the pistol and found two bullets in it. He ran back to the hall, Johan and Mr. Schubert were still on the stage. He prepared to shoot again.
Johan, walking toward Dr. Temma, gestured to the doctor to shoot in his forehead.
Tumblr media
Nina, got on stage after she broke in with a fire extinguisher moments earlier, screamed that the doctor must not shoot and pointed her gun at Johan.
Tumblr media
Johan walked passed the doctor, stopped and turned around. Before the doctor pulled the trigger, a shot was fired. By Nina. She proceeded to fire several more shots until the curtains on stage collapsed due to the heat.
Tumblr media
End of episode 38
Comments: Half of the episode time for the Nameless Monster was spent with Nina reading a dark fairy. A monster that got so desperate for a name that it went in search of it. And it went as far as splitting itself in two to increase the chance of accomplishing the mission. The monster that headed east managed to obtain the identity of its host before it ate them up one after another because of the hunger it felt.
That impersonating as someone else would take up so much energy that one would ultimately have to destroy the person they want to become? And the monster that headed west became content and told its other self that it was happy even without a name. What happened to that monster before it stopped craving a name? Accept fate, don't try to obtain what you were born with? Name didn't matter?
The story itself left lots of holes and is open for any guess and interpretation one can think of.
The monster that gave up searching for a name was eaten by the other monster that obtained a name, but which had become meaningless at that point.
How had this story made Johan the person he became, one who would kill to erase his past? He wanted an identity, but like the monster in the dark fairy tales, he would eventually take the lives of those who gave him one. Both desperate for a name, and didn't want to be confined by it? What exactly was going on in his head?
Episode 38 depicted some nobleness in man at times of grave danger. Once escape from the fiery death became possible, the security guards (?) immediately tried to restore the social norm and asked people to leave in an orderly manner. Although everyone was overtaken by panic just moments ago, they did as they were told. No one pushed their way out ahead of others. Everyone acted as the social norms would have them to. So humans are capable of doing what the ants couldn't. What guides human’s actions is not instinct alone, there are social norms, ethic codes, and others' expectation of them complying to these. It was because of these that Dr. Temma just couldn't kill, no matter how hard he tried to reason himself into killing Johan. It was the one line he would never cross.

Urasawa’s Monster (9-10)
Episode 9: the girl and the seasoned soldier (Or, will he kill?)
A veteran mercenary who trained Dr. Temma to shoot was questioned by Lunge. That mercenary had a flashback of Dr. Temma during those days of training and he had a back story: when he was deployed in Myammar (Burma), he came across a mother and her daughter. Seeing that the mother was armed with a gun, he shot and killed the mother right in front of that girl. He brought that girl back with him and act as her guardian, sadly pointing out that the girl would probably spend the rest of her life hating him. After the trainer finished his meal, he left the table, leaving behind a remark:
Tumblr media
And, "if you don't like it (the need to be ready to shoot first without hesitation), don't hold a gun."
At the firing range, the trainer told Dr. Temma to remember one thing: always fire twice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"If you can't do that, don't expect to survive," he added.
The trainer answer to Lunge's question about Dr. Temma's grade was that he got a perfect score on technique, he built up the fundamental level of stamina and was one with absolute concentration. However, he added a remark that implied he was not sure if Dr. Temma could really kill a person.
Tumblr media
Dr. Temma was shown hitching a ride. Destination not specified.
End of episode 9.
Episode 10: An erased past. (Or, I would still save lives)
Episode began with a thief breaking into a crime scene, the Springer Mansion. Dr. Temma was there as well. Their exchange was cut by sirens, presumably of approaching police vehicles. Both men immediately ran away in the direction. They talked briefly, then the thief said goodbye. Yet he immediately turned around saying he had an idea, he suggested Dr Temma to work with him using his skills as a surgeon, and they would make serious money. Dr. Temma, fixated on the task he gave himself, rejected the thief's idea.
The thief tried something else. He said he saw the murderer of the Springer Mansion, and would tell Dr. Temma the details only if Dr. Temma agree to work with him.
The thief brought Dr. Temma to the place where the murderer lived. Dr. Temma went right into the flat, and began questioning the man inside about the murder at Springer Mansion.
The conversation between Dr. Temma and that man continued after the thief butted in and then left after he got the information of where the safe was located. The man asked if Dr. Temma knew the past could be erased, which Dr. Temma dismissed flatly as impossible. The man then started wondering why he listened to him (Erich, a.k.a. Johan). The next moment, he asked Dr. Temma to leave. But remembered something, the man asked to confirm Dr. Temma's identity, then told Dr. Temma that he (Erich) left a message for him in the study of the mansion. After that, the man killed himself.
Tumblr media
"My dear Dr. Temma, Look at me! Look at me! The monster in me has grown so big!"
Dr. Temma got back in the mansion and found a message written behind a painting. He was visible shaking as he read it.
Out of the mansion, the thief's accomplice pointed a gun at Dr. Temma, ordered him to get into a car to tend to the wound of a person. And the thief held onto the belongings of Dr. Temma.
That person and his friend turned out to be wanted by the police. And the thief intended to inform on them to get the bounty, with that money he would be able to repay debt to a loan shark.
Cut to Dr. Temma. He refused to do anything to help the person with a gun shot wound, because that person was a killer. But after hearing that person saying that he didn't want to die, Dr. Temma angrily asked if he was afraid of dying, adding that the 20 persons he killed felt the same way.

And then Dr. Temma left. He met with the thief to get back his belongings. And the thief exploded with disbelief that Dr. Temma left without taking any money.
End of episode 8.
Comment: Dr. Temma still wanted to save lives of other humans.
Comment: Only one thing I could think of after watching these two episodes, I stand by my earlier observation that Dr Temma was incapable of killing. It was in his nature to save lives, not take it away from another person. Dr. Temma  was willing to offer help to a person who killed 20 others because he still saw the quality of a human in him.
