Letter lyrics hitting me hard in the face right now & make even more sense now. "Don't worry, just stay by my side. We don’t know what the future holds. And that’s scary and makes us afraid, But don’t forget that we’re always together." Jikook have probably had this enlistment together thought out for a long time. They're scared, but they know they have each other, even in their darkest days. My blood pressure cannot handle this.

Jikook would rather serve together, endure all the challenges & all the risks, then to be without EO. I don't have words, honestly. The first few weeks of training are the hardest. The training & adjustment to military life/schedule. It takes a toll on you mentally & Jikook chose EO to go through it with. They had options to do alone or even do with Tae, both of them did, but they chose EO. They did it to rely on EO for comfort And shippers who are mad, wanna downplay their decision & make excuses cause its not your ship that you were begging to enlist together. Sorry You can't. No excuses this time. If this is true & it really does happen I think a lot of people will slowly open their eyes to Jikook. This isn't something small, its a big life decision they made together, to be together, to serve together, even if its only for the first few weeks in the beginning (which are the hardest). They wanna get through the hard time together. Its either gonna break them having to watch each other go through all that horrendous stuff both mentally and physically or its gonna make them stronger or both. Jk's biggest challenge will be trying to not intervene. We see how Jk flinches if JM jumps up and sometimes jumps up with him on instinct. Resisting the urge to take over for JM if something is too hard, something Jk has done for years, but they'll get through it. They're professionals & knows the other can handle themselves.

Also, saying Jkk are making this out to be a honeymoon. FUCK YOU. This is what y'all were doing for months about your own ship and wanting them to enlist. Vmin shippers, minimoni shippers, Tkk & YM shippers. Wanna see the receipts, cause I got them. Actually, we crying, throwing up and fucking terrified for Jikook, even if they do go together. Unlike you all, we support two queer men who are going into an extremely homophobic environment with an already target on their back. Shame on you for not even mustering up enough love in your heart to support them the way deserve. You will be the ones to burn and rot and hell, not us. Your souls will never see heaven. I promise you. Just know Jikook's love, whatever type of love it is, outweighs your hate and there is nothing you can do about it.

Jikook's Rainy Day Fight

So FINALLY getting around to making this post. Lol so honestly go read this one first. It's a HUGE post I made where I really broke down my thoughts about the rainy day fight before they told us more about it. I still stand by alot of these thoughts for the most part now that we know more. The only thing I might switch up a bit is the very last paragraph where I said something like "this clearly has nothing to do with BTS as a whole and seems like a couple-esque fight more than anything else." Imma walk that one back with the new info given lol

Okay, all done with that post? Great! So here is what JK said about the rainy day fight:

Overall, the dramatics were ridiculous (i say lovingly) for what this fight was about and somehow it still gives off couple vibes simply because of the way they escalated this "speak more politely to your hyungs" conversation into a "I'm cutting you off" and a slam dunk hug in the rain reunion. Lol

(The way they both think back the most fond over that reunion hug is so freaking cute)

Things I want to additionally point out.

- Hobi hyung getting angry was the barometer of "wow. I super fucked up this time" which makes me cackle 🤣 the man is an angel lol

- after brushing aside his other members remarks and everyone else huffing but leaving, Jimin was the one to make the effort to pull him aside to have a more serious conversation about it. Trying to take it seriously with him, give him respect in return and not make it seem like he was being ganged up on. It speaks once again to how they have always been so incredibly close to each other. This was back in 2015 ish and they made these allowances for each other and gave each other their trust.

- Both Jimin and Jungkook told the same story, but took the blame for the fight upon themselves. They recongized what happened but when sharing the story with a third party, made it seem totally like their own fault (when clearly they both had some anger issues and bad judgements during that fight). It seemed like they were lowkey trying to protect the other and mostly just felt bad about their own contributions to the fight rather than the other person's. Clearly the forgiveness was absolute.

- Jungkooks snarkiness clearly got Jimin feed up to the point where he snapped and said something he clearly didn't mean, but also clearly felt. He probably felt disrespected and felt like that wasn't the type of bond they had cultivated together. And JK clearly felt bad and was upset himself and even after they separated, when he found himself upset and lost, his first instinct was to reach out to Jimin. And even pissed off and mad, Jimins first instinct was to answer JKs phone call and make sure he was okay and safe. Just for them to reunite not too long after, both feel shitty for their behavior and find a secluded spot for them to actually talk it through before they went home and to bed. Regardless of their full day of schedules right after that too. It's incredibly sweet of them.

- its still lowkey giving off couple fight/break up and reunion vibes. Lmfao but only in how they handled their dramatics, not in the actual fight. Nor do I think they were a couple during this time frame. I do think they were harboring crushes on each other, but that's a seperate conversation. And the fact that JK held onto feeling guilty over his bratty attitude and causing this fight so many years later??? Clearly, it had a lasting impact, even though he still acts like a brat to Jimin sometimes lol its done in a teasing manner rather than a disrespectful one. And it's something that the two of them clearly encourage in their bond together.

- the acknowledgement of that through this fight (and the subsequent conversation on the roof and make up afterwards) they got closer is worth highlighting and mentioning too. When a fight/disagreement is done in a healthy way (and while it didnt start that way. They clearly got there), the communication and the way you can get to know someone better can be so helpful for having an even better relationship. Platonic, romantic or any other kind. I'm glad they spent that time together on the roof. It was probably something they both really needed that night and lead to even more emotional vulnerability and comfort between the two of them going forward I'm sure.

I'm not a jikooker because I prefer jimin with another member I ship him with..jimin is someone so affectionate and caring towards the people around him. With this jm is close to each member but somehow for some reason its always jikook who are spotted hanging out together off schedule. so many sightings from army spotting them in a restaurant and restaurants confirming this.the DVD memory 90% is jikook ofc the company favors them more that's why they film only their moments. because honestly as I ship jm with another pason I tend to always spot jikook together that it pisses me off so much.have had enaf of them together.no hate to jk but he should leave jm alone sometimes not hovering around him all the time duh!my question the latest run bts suga said "that's smth a couple would do" I mean why do they feel the need to highlight that all the time? Thats weird 😭if jikook are real and closeted isn't this exposing them?outing them just for a content lol it doesn't work that way.this is putting them at risk given they are in a homophobic country? or maybe the company wants to push this narrative of jikook as a couple?.also have mentioned about them spotted many times hanging out but we never see any other member hanging out off schedule just recently I saw jihope watching soccer. And its very rare.feel the company is pushing this fanservice even in their private lives.they want people to believe jikook are a thing.

Honestly I don't know if I should be flattered or mad or both or neither at this Ask so I'm just gonna be as respectful as I can be.

I haven't watched the run episode. I've only seen snippets but I will watch it this weekend. I have a ton of analysis to do and I hate commenting on stuff I haven't consumed.

This is not the first time Suga has said something of that nature. He's been alleged to have said "You weren't even a couple then" during Festa when Jikook shared the rain story.

Jin has made similar statements as have Namjoon and the others. When it comes to Jikook that is. He'll jikook have called themselves a couple too.

Since I don't speak their language and can't understand the nuances of it myself, I refrain from depending on any linguistic analysis for validation. I just take notice of it and carry on with my life.

Karmy can be a bit prudish and wow at everything because it's bold and daring and so out of the norm and gosh did you hear that? that's so gay, and sensationalise almost everything because they are so shocked easily by the prospect of two men "acting gay" when gay is so such taboo in their culture.

They are like me when I stare at a vagina that isn't my own.

I've said this over and over, but perhaps the company gravitate towards Jikook not only because what they have is authentic but because it's the best content they have💀

Best in terms of content production, engagement with fans, conversion of that engagement into monetary value, their chemistry is great, they self produce or come up with independently thought of and creative spontaneous moments that the best of hybe CCs couldn't conceive if they tried.

Which is strange because Vmin have awesome chemistry too and frankly I'm trynna see it. Jimin is a whole other mellow character around Taehyung sometimes. He steps back and let Tae take it away. Whereas around Jungkook most times, he gets so animated and hyper you'd think he swallowed a dynamite.

Not sure how much of his hyper activity is triggered by a subconscious awareness of Jungkook's proclivity towards introversion on screen. Whereas with V I feel he's more trusting of his co-workers ability to engage the audience on his own and come up with exciting and unique ideas for them to engage in without him necessarily worrying about censorship and worrying Tae's nerves will cause him to slip or make mistakes.

With Jungkook he gets lost trying to loosen him up and get him to relax on screen and not be soo aware of the cameras, or not read too much into anything he does while also trying to rile him up to get a reaction out of him because he's often fascinated by Jk's visceral response and reaction to him. He acts like there's no camera around, JK it's into it but soon forgets that millions of people are watching and so Jimin has to be on high alert around him. They give me headaches but I'm toxic so I love it. Bring it on Jikook.

Anywho, that was old Vmin. And old Jikook. These days Jungkook is the one that tries to loosen JM up.

And these days VMin can't play or keep it going for more than 5minutes without boring us to death with whatever weird vibes and inside jokes they have going on between them.

Don't get me wrong, they have impeccable chemistry and are also very good friends but let them be alone for an hour and you start blinking blankly at the screen- like you know there's something they not telling us and they matured and they all acting like grown ups with so much self respect and admiration for eachother.

Like when Tae confessed he liked Jimin alot I didn't expect Jimin's reaction at all, certainly not Suga cringing cos if those two are besties and face time eachother everyday I love you should be something they both should be used to hearing from eachother by now and their friends should be used to their shenanigans too by now.

Besides Taehyung confesses his love for Jimin more than he breathes oxygen in the air and this is Bangtan raised to the power Kpop- gay isn't exactly new to them if you know what I mean.

Yet no one said well that's so something a couple will do for that VMin moment. They cringed harder than a ma cracks his knuckles. Like friends would if another friend started acting homo around the bro table. There's a scene from Boys over flowers where Lee Minho goes to kiss another one of their friends- note to self, gurl, you have to rewatch those dramas you loved it. We loved it. Cool? Cool.

That moment with vmin and Suga reminds me each time of that scene from the drama.

Where's if actual couples did it, the reaction would be one of just pure awkwardness because no one knows how to react around couples. You can't stare at them on the bus when they kiss cos you feel you are the creep creeping up on private moments. It's just awkward and you don't know what to do with yourself.

Then if they are your friends you try to play it up by teasing them, mimicking them, hooting at them

Or you just exchange awkward glances and smirk

And to put things into perspective, Namjin cringing and bursting out a romantic soundtrack over Jikook's rain fight narration was warranted.

It was the first time they were hearing this from them and their reaction was as anyone would- yet Suga didn't find that cringing AT ALL like he had found VMins moment to be- just a smirk like it's just ridiculous with those two. See how similar Jin had reacted to their hickey story too?

He just smiles warmly and stares or laugh his brains out. Except for that one time Jungkook let it slip he wanted to be handcuffed by Jimin🥺

And why was it necessary for Tae to say that? Why was it necessary for Tae to make that confession? And why did the members intuitively assume JM was going to choose Jungkook for that? Namjoon went with V but only because he voided his gut instincts and used his head. We've all been there.

Jimin have said Tae has matured so much and we only see glimpses of Old Tae but he's different. Of course that's gonna impact the way they interact on screen.

They keep saying that's something a couple will do because THAT'S SOMETHING A COUPLE WILL REALLY DO.

There's no beating around the bush about it.

The ironical friends sharing a couch or they look exceptionally close today does not explain why they sneak into each other's hotel rooms or why cameras were placed in their rooms without their notice and Jikook had to walk in blindsided.

Jimins reaction was priceless.

You frankly don't need to see or hear them going out to restaurants to know something's up with those two. You don't.

Anyone who claims otherwise is just in denial.

Personally, if a Korean were to ask me about Jikook I'd say to them they are friends fuck off. If an Iarmy were to ask I'll say they are more than that. I see them for what they are and I celebrate them, I appreciate them, I love them and I support them. But I will protect them against anyone that posed a threat to their safety their well-being and their essence.

It's just the gay way.

And I feel this is often the conundrum people are faced with when it comes to Jikook. On one hand, they want to be celebrated- who wouldn't -but on the other hand their safety careers and lives could be as stake and they would want to protect that too.

And the best way to do that, if I were a company, would be to hide them in plain sight. Which is what everyone and their momma does with Jikook.

Jikook have not always been the creme de la creme of ships and hybe have not always used them as their go to fanservice ship. Granted fanservice is part of Kpop.

The Busan Brothers have split. The sun and moon duo blah- jikook don't nearly get marketed as a couple as much as other ships in bts to be frank. Editors have called Tae Kook romantic or a couple with chest in content, Sope get called couples almost everyday, they deliberately put members together to promote stuff because THEY ARE ALL THERE TO WORK.

This is somebody's business. They invest real money Into all of this. If ships were hurting their business and hard earned or borrowed money, they would dead that shit two dinosaurs ago. The fact they ain't said nothing means it's serving them. We are the puppets and they are the puppeteers.

They pull the strings and we go. Not the other way round.

As to whether they are doing this at the expense of Jikook, Jikook would be the best determiners of that. They have agency and in the past where they were "too young" to comprehend the consequences of their actions they had their hyungs to look at for them- hence all those tensions and allegations of members breathing down their necks.

Bighit was acting like Kris Jenner, encouraging them to strip and gyrate metaphorically for the cameras while they smiled all the way to the bank to cash out.

But it's 2022, a year where BTS have gone up against the government of Korea itsself and decided by themselves to call off any postponement to their military service and serve.

This is the same year you want to peddle the Hybe making Jikook do fanservice in their PRIVATE LIVES???

What they do off schedule really is none of our business or company's. Just as you get to go off work and your boss don't follow you home. It's reasonable to assume same for these boys.

Jimin has been spending his time with various persons both in a professional capacity and non professional capacity and we should be grateful that he is a functioning human being capable of functioning outside his group dynamic.

Going solo is pretty scary and they are all transitioning well and adjusting well to it. That's all that matters. Let's be glad that in spite of their personal projects that they make time to connect with their members and keep the spirit of BTS alive.

Real heartache is them finding BTS outside BTS and forgetting how precious their friend group once was.

But I get where you are coming from. rather than try to manifest Jungkook out of the picture, try manifesting your fave into the picture and go nag them until they call him up m- don't worry I'll put them through when the call comes. Wink.

Jimin is an extrovert and honestly he is well adjusted. I don't think he needs much help connecting with ppl.

My good sis, let's just enjoy the breadcrumbs while we can, before Jikook officially ties the knot🤧

Once they do it's game over for you and I and all the jm side ships on the black ship market🥺

I wouldn't say the company want ppl to believe Jikook are a thing. They only want you to believe they aren't a big deal. It's called normalization. The oldest trick in the books.

Did you ever find it odd how about 2 or 3 times now the members have made some “couple” jokes about Jikook? If we assume that the company knows about taekook then that means the members must definitely know as well right? So wasn’t it a little insensitive for Jin to ask JM and Jungkook if they were dating that one time they were playing that push game? I mean Tae was right there and i don’t know if it was just his face but he kinda didn’t look too pleased about it and didn’t laugh even though almost everyone else including jm and Jk laughed about it.

I also remember that one time jikook both wore denim shirts and were taking pictures at the back and Namjoon looked at them and asked if they are a couple or something because they were kinda matching. I know there’s been other times when other members like Sope have made couple Jokes but that’s kinda different because it’s not like any of them is dating a member so that’s why i found it a little bit odd that they did that. And oh, i just remembered the 3rd instance. It was during Festa 2020 when Jk mentioned the rainy day story and while JM was narrating what happened, Suga said “ that’s what a couple would do” or something about couple and then Namjin’s reactions weren’t helping either. They started singing a song which apparently was from a drama where two lovers reunited under the rain. Why would they do stuff like this knowing that Jk is actually in a relationship with another member in the same group? I found it highly insensitive.

Even on ITS when Jk and Jm stayed up all night and then JM woke up and was about to leave and then Jk said “Do you want some Ramyeon”. Ok, anybody who knows a little about k culture knows immediately that, that is the most popular sexual innuendo there is. Plus even the way he phrased it was textbook kdrama booty call or netflix and chill plus his and Jimin’s reaction didn’t help. At face value he was probably just asking JM if he wanted to eat Ramyeon but Jm’s answer was “ I’m sleepy, i’m tired, let’s go to sleep now”?????? I mean even regular ARMYs sideeyed that moment a bit and i gave Jk a big sideeye because there’s no way he didn’t know how that came across and i don’t know how many of you were in the fandom when that episode aired but the entire K side were talking about it and they didn’t air that part on national tv. We could only get it on payed content. I dunno but somethings are just weird.

Call me delulu but most of these examples just reinforce that Jikook isn’t real to me? If the other members are openly joking about it when they tend to hide Taekook closeness? Maybe it is insensitive but I’m more convinced lately that whatever happens on company content stays in company content and that Tae handles it by zoning out 😂

Remember that time Jin waggled his tongue at JKs hand and JK stood up as if he was dragging Jin somewhere private? Or saying he’d explain the rules of uno to Tae in his room? I’m still convinced he said something dirty to Tae during their lap sitting move. And what IS tasty in Busan, JK?

This is NOT me getting insecure. But isn't it too wierd that Jimin didn't knew its raining so hard in seoul and it's flood there. We all like to believe Jikook are so close who atleast will call or message each other every day. It's been 10+ days since Jimin went to US and they both didn't even talked once ? And JK who's still in seoul didn't told him it's heavily raining there ? Any close friends will talk these things right. It's getting too hard to actually think they maybe a couple if they don't even call each other once in 10 days.

Hi secure Anon. Damn, you are fast in making excuses, and you never fail to make me laugh because you are so predictable. But still, after tens of asks like this I can't tell if you hate jikook with all your guts, or you are just insecure coming here asking me to give you reasons to go on. But since you are cute and funny I'm going to give you answer for entertainment of myself.

First of all Jimin never said he didn't know a flood has happened in Seoul. He said he didn't know how bad it was. Please don't twist and mistranslate his words. In the day of flood Namjoon had posted about enjoying weather and probably had no idea people have got into trouble in some parts of the city. You probably never experienced a flood in your city but it doesn't affect all the residents in the same way. In some parts it makes people enjoy the rain, in some parts it makes their shoes wet and in some parts it endangers their properties and even their lives. So, in conclusion, Jimin knew what was happening there but didn't know how bad and destructive it was until yesterday, and it has nothing to do with the communication Jikook have with each other.

Even if you were right and he had no contact with JK, doesn't he have other people in SK? Parents? Family members? Friends? Colleages?Did he lost contact with them all and completely isolated himself? Couldn't they tell him what was happening or is it something he could only hear from his lover? Do you even think before typing these stuff and mass sending it to Jikook blogs?

But honestly, can't you be just a bit more creative and come up with new narratives? Because this one has got outdated already and I'm tired of repeating the same answers again and again

Thank you to @onthecuterside for tagging me in this game. Lets put some information about little old me, out into the world.

Name: Caroline. Family call me Cal, but the majority of people stick to Caroline, except one very dear friend who calls me Fudge Fairy ( its a joke from a very drunken teenage night out, and it has stuck for 24 years!).

Sign: Libra, October baby, not too many days away from Jimin, but a good few years away. I am considered the caregiver among my friends. A typical Libra trait. I am always Mum when we go out, rounding up the drunken women on their 40's who should know better 😂 and wiping away the tears when the wine has kicked in.

Favourite band/artist: Other than BTS who are a whole different level of fandom to others, it would have to be, P!nk, Elbow, Prince, Halsey, Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan and then a complete curve ball, The Prodigy. They were my first gig back in 1996 and they blew me away. P!nk is my hero, I love her honesty, her unwavering strength in saying what needs to be said and her song writing is special. Empowerment, heartbreak or fun she has a song for it all.

Last Movie: Top Gun Maverick. I know the original film word for word and it is very beloved so I was sceptical but seeing it in IMAX it didn't disappoint.

Last Show: We Own This City (I love me some John Bernthal). Elite, which is a Spanish show on Netflix. My absolute favourite genre of show is true crime and I have just finished watching I just killed my Dad.

When you created this blog: January 2022 I joined just to learn about Jikook and find like minded grown ass people to have grown up conversations with. Then in Feb 2022 I decided to dip my toe into blogging, and here we are 6 months later.

What you post: The majority is Jikook, their dynamics, their moments, their history and their love. I also post about Jimin and Jungkook individually .Occasionally Jiminie Kitty will make an appearance as will general life stuff.

other blogs: No, this is my one and only. Its my first venture into the world of blogging.

Followers: 321. I never thought for one moment I would get that many. I appreciate each and every one of them for reading my ramblings.

Do you get Asks: I do but I am very particular with the ones I will answer.

Average hours of sleep: 7-8. I am lucky that I am a good sleeper, it hasn't always been the case, I went through a tough time with anxiety and insomnia a couple of yrs ago, so I thank my lucky stars I can now get some quality sleep. Those early morning hours are lonely when you cant sleep.

Instruments: Not one😢. I love music but I have never had the opportunity to learn an instrument. I always wanted to play the saxophone.

What I'm wearing: PJ's as I am in bed writing this when I should be doing some study prep.

Dream Job: Criminal profiler (Criminal Minds style)

or forensic psychologist. I am starting a degree in October in Criminology and Law with view to enter the police force as a Civilian investigator.

Dream Trip: New Zealand, Italy, Bali, South Korea, so many places. I have never had the chance to travel but I recently got a passport so now the world is my oyster, I just need to find the funds from somewhere.

IDG why its such a big deal for Jikook to celebrate their friendship like others do. They use to all the time. Their bond is still beautiful. Like it was pointed out. Their families are close to them. JK knew JM grandmother bday. JK hanging with JM friends at times. They spend a ton of time together off cam, we even heard this from Vminkook in Vegas, but its like oh sorry, can't wish you a happy bday or post a pic of you publicly on my IG, I can only do that with my other hyungs. It's confusing.

I personally don't think birthday posts it's a big deal and I've said that before. Even if the fandom cares that day, they forget the next day. Ask any army and most of them don't remember who posted for who last year or this year, much less the years before.

That being said, tbh I've always felt that Jimin celebrated jikook way too much. It's literally one of the reasons taekookers hate him so much lmao.

Going by the example you gave of wishing happy birthdays or posting photos, Jimin has never. Never. Stopped posting for Jungkook's birthdays and he has posted photo/s (depending on your perspective) with Jungkook on his instagram. And he will probably post more eventually. Everytime we've known of them spending time together in their free time, it has been Jimin the one talking about it. Even their fight in the rain, it was Jimin who told the story. In 2019 he came back from Paris and then went to Jungkook's birthday party and then he posted that photo and talked about it in his vlive. In 2020 it was Jimin the one who said "I was with Jungkook". Jungkook talked about finding out of #1 more than three times and he never mentioned Jimin, not even once, nothing. We would have never, and I mean never known of those things if Jimin didn't say them. In 2021 it was him who invited Jungkook to his live. Trust me, Jungkook would have not gone there by himself. Then it was Jimin who said Jungkook went to his hotel room in LA. It was Jimin who said he liked waking up and seeing Jungkook or talks about his sleeping habits. These are all things that come to mind right now but there are dozens of situations that I don't remember right now where it was just Jimin talking about it. Jimin is not really like that anymore, and he barely shares anything these days but it was like that until last year.

Jungkook doesn't "celebrate" jikook the same way Jimin does/did and many would tell you Jungkook doesn't celebrate it at all, it's why the narrative that it's one sided runs so deep. I've never made any conclusions from that, that's just his personality. I don't think it means this or that but I'm also not lying to myself. I know it's been mostly, if not all Jimin "celebrating" jikook for all of these years. I've talked before about something along these lines, and I understand that Jungkook has some big moments here and there but people need consistency to acknowledge something. People don't live off things that happened one time and never happened again.

This is one of the reasons why I can't empathize with jikookers who cry about how the fandom doesn't acknowledge jikook wah wah wah and all the sob stories. The fandom repeats what the members show and they even emulate their own parasocial relationship/s with BTS according to how the members present themselves AND their dynamics. Calling taehyung an alien, or the most handsome because BTS constantly call him that, chimchim for Jimin, or how to this day they still diagnose him with eating disorders because of how much it was talked about by BTS, Namjoon being the love of Jungkook's life because JK literally never misses an opportunity to say that he had a crush on Namjoon, the golden maknae thing, hobi being a "sunshine" even if there is a smaller amount of content of Hoseok talking about how that persona wasn't really himself. All these narratives are so repetitive and ALL of them are at fault for drilling those narratives into the minds of their fandom.

It's impossible to change and it's why I really can't bring myself to care about the fandom being more acceptive of Namkook or vmin than jikook, because it's something BTS themselves have chosen. Jungkook has made statements about Namjoon, the same as vmin have made statements about their friendship and it's what the fandom knows and understands, and it will always be easiest to accept and to love something that has been spelled out for you.

Gray

[Music is a very big part of my life and I’m MOSTLY INCAPABLE of writing without music, so I just thought I'd share what I am listening to while writing this]

All my life, I’ve always avoided the color Gray.

Whenever I’d think of the color Gray I would ... lose energy? If for example, a meter for mood was at a maximum of 10, thinking of the color Gray would drop my mood to 5 instantly. Literally just thinking of it. I really hated the blasted color, not gonna lie. Without even realizing, it was the one and only color that brought out so many negative emotions in me. Even more than the stereotypical negative color for excellence: Black.

Within a metaphorical instance, Black is instantly associated with the negative side of any situation. Black is the predetermined association with a skin color, which names the negative side of another skin color even though, if you are not visually impaired, we all know that the closest colors of said skin tones are actually shades of brown and shades of pink. Black is the color of obscurities and shadows which are indeed frightening, I can admit to that, but if anything, obscurity is scary because we don’t know what’s within it or beyond it and shadows … well … shadows are a whole topic of their own. But going back to obscurity, if you are surrounded by a cloud of all white, trust me, it will be just as scary, because ANYTHING UNKNOWN CAN BE SCARY, REGARDLESS OF ITS COLOR.

So even more than Black, Gray just really angered me. Unhealthy smoke, clouds before the rain, dust, faded black … all very common scenarios of our reality which happen quite constantly. Not black but not white either, it was almost a failed attempt at being white, which by all purposes in our society is THE COLOR. The color of purity, of innocence, of cleanliness … of righteousness … White is unfortunately such a loaded color.

Black & White.

Whether we realize it or not, metaphorically speaking, nobody is born completely Black or completely White. In fact, it has always seemed to me like we were told that we were born Off-White and that our goal in life is to get to that state of pure white, and try our best to avoid getting closer to black as much as possible. Yet, what seems to always happen is that at about the age of 16 (more or less), you’ll realize that not only you are probably very attracted to everything Black, but you are most likely ¾ on your way to it. So you panic. Black is attractive, supposedly so bad, but so easy to fall into and White is now so far, supposedly so good, but so hard to get to. Thus, starts the constant struggle of trying to reach White, while being constantly “held hostage” by Black, whereas ... what I think is ... that what we really should be aiming for is Gray.

Gray is the middle, the perfect balance between all that is Black and all that is White. It took me a while to realize this but all I want in my life IS balance. I’ve literally spent all my life trying every color, in order to avoid Gray and yet it turns out that it was all I wanted and needed all along.

Let’s be honest, Gray is not a very visually appealing color, but then I wonder if society has just made it so that we’ve come to think of it in this way? Regardless, it has now become a very dear color and concept to me as it really is my aim in life to be balanced.

So I shall not refer to Black and White as positive or negative extremes of a situation. TO ME, on this blog, they are just going to be simply Extremes 1 & Extreme 2 and the aim is to be as far as possible from either. My goal is to reach the Gray of as many aspects of my life as possible.

The goal is GRAY.

And in relation to Jikook (... I promise, this is a jikook blog 😬 …) I also aim to be as Gray as possible. Though, I will admit that sometime, well … nevermind, I need some context before I can explain this, so I’ll explain it in my next post which is about: SHIPPING.

How and when did you became an ARMY and a jikooker

I was aware of BTS as early as 2014. But tbh I really didn’t pay attention to them as a viable music source until later. I’m old and SHINHWA, Park Ji Yoon and Rain were kinda more my thing. Jimin and Jungkook specifically grabbed my attention when they did the now-iconic 2015 “Perfect Man” cover and Jimin killed with Minwoo’s part and those dance moves omg. Also I thought the name Jung Kook was a stupid translation of a lovely name. I was in a whole bitch phase for awhile there.

So I knew who BTS was and primarily who Jimin was. I was in it for the dancers so I got to know Hobi and Jungkook (I got used to it) too and eventually everyone else. I was having a pretty intense life, so I didn’t pursue my stan journey right away. My BTS fan experience is a slow burn acquaintances to lovers fan fiction ft. Jimin and Jungkook as the dancer and singer who live in an apartment together, oblivious to my clumsy existence, basically. For several years I admired them on a “wow that nine tailed fox dance damn” and “Airplane Pt 2 is my jam huh those guys seem close” way.

But then Black Swan happened. Black Swan is my jam. And probably yours too but the thing about Black Swan for me is that my ballet dancer ass woke the fuck up and went like

Because in case you are unaware, that choreo is heavily lifted from the gayest of gay ballets, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake. AKA the Billy Elliot Supertwink Version. And this former ballerina was LIVING. Living I tell you.

And also suddenly paying attention to more than just Jimin and a few songs I liked and felt cool for discovering years earlier like 45 million ARMYs weren’t already at the party. Specifically I noticed that Jungkookie grew the hell UP and also there was nothing straight going on in that household. I mean

And I bought albums and went back over stuff I’d enjoyed on a surface level, mostly 3J dances tbh, and realized that Yoongi is a genius and down the rabbit hole I went with my Jeon-Park House Elf agenda along for the ride.

TL;DR I knew about them for a long time and paid distracted attention until the gays did the thing and my inner fruit fly lost its mind and gave me a parasocial set of relationships about a year ago. Now I’m full on delusional and a massive OT7 stan with a gay double bias and it feels good man.

So jk basically confirmed that he was bratty back in the day resulting in him pissing jm off to the point that jm was done with him.

And then, and then, and then anon, on the rooftop they kissed... they kissed on the roof, and didn't care that they were getting soaked. Because nothing else in that moment mattered, nothing more than them in each other's embrace. Jungkook regretted talking to Jimin the way he did. He was so happy that Jimin had forgiven him, that he couldn’t stop tearing up into the kiss. Which made Jimin tear up too. Coz he loved this boy so much, and wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him. So he poured all his relief into that kiss. Rain... more rain... wet... both of them soaked. But still not enough to make them stop kissing. And Jungkook apologised once more when they were done. And then they hugged. Giggling. Like the teenagers that they were. All wet on the rooftop. But they didn't care. They were young boys in love and nothing could tear them apart. And then they lived happily ever after.

Bahahahahahaaa! How are fanfic writing skills, eh? 😜

Real talk though, this was absolutely about their push and pull. JK wanting to be the hyung. He was clearly a dog with a bone and very adamant about this and as we know now, Jimin while it took him a while, eventually gave in.

If you watch their older content you will notice Jhope is usually the one having the strongest reaction to dropping of honorifics. Especially when Jimin did it to him. That’s how u know this shit is a big deal. I-army tend to ignore this side of Jikook but if only they knew. Its really not something to take lightly. It means something that JK can call Jimin by his name without the hyung and get away with it.

Anyway anon, back on topic I am so glad we got JK’s version of the rainy day fight. We knew if he told this story we would get alot more details and that’s exactly what happened.

Back to more fanfiction, a friend wrote this yesterday during the live;

So ever since Angel Baby by Troye Sivan has come out, it has been used in so many Jikook & Jimin edits, so much, when I hear the song, I instantly think of Jikook. So everyone has been screaming the song lyrics fit Jikook, joking Troye wrote it about Jikook and their rain fight, asking him to collab with Jikook. Like what the hell did we manifest? Troye is releasing his video tomorrow which is Oct 13th JM's bday. I know its a coincidence but wow, JKK really out here manifesting shit. LOL witches

I had no idea Troye was releasing the MV today. Coincidence?

As lovely as all that would be, I really don't think that Troye knows JK or JM all that well, if at all personally. I know that Louder than bombs was co-written with him, but I don't think they actually know each other personally, let alone Troye knowing that kind of personal information about Jikook.

Also, he co-wrote Angel baby together with 4 others, so no, I really don't think the song has anything to do with Jikook.

Saying that, it's a beautiful song, and does somehow fit Jikook. It perfectly suits Jikook edits, and would suit even more a new JM focused GCF...just putting it out there JK, if you hear me, lol.

So I saw an ask about a funny reaction video to Jikook in Spanish on your tumblr, and I went and watched the video. Suffice to say even though I dont understand the beautiful Spanish language, the youtuber's hand gestures were enough to convey the Jikook feelings!

It's literally insane how much hate Jikook get just because they love each other a lot. Regardless of what they have, you can't fake such a deep bond for TEN YEARS. You just CAN'T fake the way Jungkook looks at Jimin and the way his whole being lights up just at the MENTION of Jimin. Antis can throw a fucking tantrum, but it still doesn't change the fact that Jungkook talks a LOT about Jimin, and before people come with the whole "guilt/pity" argument that's been going around: JUNGKOOK WAS MENTIONING/TALKING ABOUT JIMIN ON HIS WLIVES EVEN BEFORE JIMIN DROPPED HIS ALBUM/SONGS.

They literally get hate and get extremely invalidated and debunked all the time just because they adore each other, and because their bond is one of the strongest, if not THE stronger within the BTS members. How fucking crazy is that. How fucking insane does that sound?

Jungkook was telling the rain fight story and he was SMILING and reminiscing, and recognizing that it was his doing, and yet people still try to make Jimin the villain. JIMIN. Jimin and villain shouldn't ever be in the same phrase, it doesn't make any fucking sense. Jungkook loves Jimin. Taehyung himself loves Jimin. What the fuck is on people's minds????

Taehyung and Jungkook are close again NOW, because they said they sort of fell out over the years and weren't even that close. And that's okay, it happens, life has its phases and friendships do too, and their friendship is cute and real!

However, we can't say the same for Jikook. They're the same as always, we just don't get ot7 content anymore so we don't see them as much, but their hang outs were ALWAYS private, people just took pictures of them on the street without their consent. Jikook were always private, always, so the whole "they don't see each other" bullshit really doesn't add up at all, either.

Saw this tag last night and thought it was pretty cool, but was passing out from exhaustion from the vaccine so I couldn’t do it.

1. No Ordinary Love [BTS, yoonmin - Still in the works, but I wanted to add it because I really like the Prologue]

When I entered the club that night… I wasn't expecting anything to happen beyond a casual conversation and perhaps sharing a few drinks.

I knew very well how delicate the situation stood between us after a disastrous breakup years ago, followed by a bittersweet reunion that ended anything but friendly.

No, I wasn't there to beg nor did I want him to take me back. Jiminie had his life and I had mine.

All I wanted was someone to talk to… and he was there for me.

Can you blame me for that?

2. Forever, You Said. [BTS, jikook, vampire au]

All my life I wanted nothing more than to get away and live my life the way I want. So why… does it suddenly not feel enough? Why do I feel like I'm missing something? - Jungkook

3. Lunatic High [BTS, fantasy au]

The sound of his own harsh breathing echoed loudly in his ears, only matched by the sound of his erratic heartbeat as he ran half blindly through the field.

Jimin rolled his eyes, but couldn't stop the smile that was already forming on his lips at the sight of the young knight sulking in the corner of the room like a child.

It was 4:00 AM, but they hadn't gone inside when they said they would half an hour ago.

Or rather they had meant to.

But the minute that their hands were clasped so tight, like they never wanted to let go, and their eyes met in a whirlwind of emotions, shy smiles and embarrassed laughter. That moment was the first time where the world stopped spinning for them.

A broken home.

A sad song.

The curtain rises, but its the same old story from before. Different scenarios, but always the same ending.

7. Yoongi's Confession [BTS, yoonmin; canon]

Our entire relationship, our love, our life can only be compared to a violent car crash on an empty road at night under the pouring rain.

Lots of dark moments, heartaches, blood, sweat and tears.

It’s how it started... and ended.

8. Love Cravings [BTS, vminkook; a/b/o]

Jungkook groaned as his phone rang for the 20th time that night when he had finally gotten into his car.

All he wanted was to get back home, to his warm bed and SLEEP like he deserved. Was that too much to ask?

9. Dirty Habits [BTS, jikook; labeled as “late valentines smut” LOL]

Jungkook stumbled through the front door of his apartment, nearly tripping on the ‘Welcome Home’ mat that never quite made you feel as welcome as it was intended to.

10. So Trust Me [BTS, vminkook]

--Words of love, encouragement, good health, best wishes, and strength continued to flow in waves every minute into his cell phone. Lifting his spirit and filling his heart with joy little by little though not as fast or as overwhelming as it normally should.

It’s been a hard year, not just for him, but for everyone.

Even with all the happiness and beautiful memories being created around him, there was still sadness lingering in his heart. But he wouldn’t let it show, not yet, not here.

11. The Reason [BTS, vminkook]

“Jimin-ssi, keep your defense up!!” Jungkook barked out without breaking his stance as he watched the other male stumble backwards on to the snowy ground with a loud thud.

Taehyung watched from the side, leaning against the wall next to the glass sliding doors to their apartment. Worry etched on to his features behind the large scarf half covering his face to protect him from the cold weather. It’s not the first time he’s come to watch his two lovers spar, but as to why the two insist on doing it at such an early hour in the morning where it’s the coldest its beyond him.

12. Peppermint Kisses [BTS, vminkook]

Something was up in the dorm and Jungkook didn’t like it one bit.

And that something was related to two particular members of Bangtan.

The 95z.

13. UNSTEADY (Prequel to All or Nothing) [BTS, jikook; canon]

I watched him lie through his teeth again today during practice. But it wasn’t just today, there had been many other times where I had watched Jimin do the same; skipping meals, sleepless nights, and when nothing else worked he’d wear himself out with excessive practice hours in the studio by himself.

But I’m not blind, I know it’s on me… yet he still insists on taking the fall by himself for what happened that day.

14. The Sleepover [BTS, vminkook]

Taehyung was the first to stir awake that morning with a long groan. His lashes fluttered weakly against his cheek as he tried to fight off both sleep and nausea from his system.

The hangover making its presence known with a vengeance.

15. All or Nothing [BTS, jikook; canon]

The door to his and Hoseok’s shared room slammed so hard that he could have sworn the thing would come off its hinges any moment.

How dare he?

How fucking dare he?

16. Beautiful Tragedy [BTS, jikook; soulmate au]

When I was four my mother used to tell me stories about Soulmates and how they were always bound to find each other no matter what. Because they were destined to be.

Born and made for each other.

No distance was too far, no language became a barrier, no obstacle too high or low to overcome. No hardship was too much to bare. Because soulmates were two halves of the same soul who's primary purpose was to find their way back to one another and therefore spoke their own language in their hearts.

17. Private Show [BTS, jikook; canon]

“You’re late.” A voice scolded from somewhere in the still dark room.

His hand immediately left the doorknob to reach for the light switch, revealing a figure leaning on the farthest wall, against the mirrors. His pink hair hidden by a cap worn low which also hid his face, a jean jacket over a black buttoned up shirt, dark ripped jeans and boots.

It was Jimin.

18. Sin For You [BTS, vmin; AU]

He was singing our song again at our favorite karaoke bar.

Our secret song… the one nobody knows about. That keeps us connected even at times when we had been involved with someone else.

19. It's all in your mind [BTS, canon with some subtle jikook]

It felt strange to be back home after being away for so long while filming the second season of Bon Voyage, and with a new comeback sometime in September, the schedules were sure to be tight for the rest of the year. So everyone at the dorm tried to make the most of it by getting organized and rest.

Repeated patterns I may have noticed? Hmm... that I usually start the opening scenes with someone walking into a room (usually angry and throwing shit LOL), or describing sounds/smells/feelings.

And that in most cases its JK walking into said rooms and literally walking into some unknown chaos 😌😅 (said chaos being Jimin).

Tag... I don’t know if any of my favorite authors are here on tumblr, much less if I’m following any of them because lately I’ve been checking out authors who announce their work via twitter.

But if any of my moots are authors, go for it.

I still remember your not very recent post: "Should I make a post about why I think the ep. 4 rain convo seems more like a disguised Jikook call out?" Can I ask what you meant? I was waiting for you to tell us about your thoughts but you never did

Sorry, had to go on a pseudo-hiatus for awhile but sure you can ask what I meant. I think some people may have already touched on this by now so I’m not sure how much value it would add around the discourse. My thoughts on this are by no means foolproof and there’s probably some gaping holes in them somewhere, but here’s my take anyway lol.

So there’s a conversation that takes place starting around the 17 minute mark of that episode where they’re talking about the possibility of rain during their next concert. At one point, hyung line laments about dancing too hard and how Jimin and Jungkook are the main ones who do so. What happens from this point (starting around 17:38) seems to be some doublespeak from J-Hope and RM interspersed with random cuts of Jin talking, members looking apprehensive and almost smiling like there’s something that’s not being said (or maybe has been said that didn’t make it to the final cut of the episode.) So, from about 17:05, the conversation goes like this:

Jimin: It was okay-

J-Hope: Gotta be careful though.

Someone (can’t make out the voice): Right.

J-Hope: The problem is some of you will dance too hard.

Jimin: We should keep our toes steady.

*While Jimin is talking, RM turns to J-Hope very quickly with a look that seems kind of out of context based on what’s being said*

J-Hope: Jungkook and Jimin, be careful.

*Camera cuts from Jimin fixing his hat to Jin smirking*

RM: Both of you (speaking to Jimin and Jungkook).

J-Hope, smirking: Keep it under control. We still have a lot of shows left.

Jin: It’s important to be good but safety comes first.

Someone (can’t make out the voice): Okay.

J-Hope, still smiling knowingly: There’s a lot to worry about.

*Camera lingers on J-Hope who looks like he just heard a bad joke and is pulling his hat down over his face to hide his smile*

They talk about it some more but the part I found strange pretty much ends here. So, at first glance a couple things stood out to me about this scene:

They’re talking about the rain as if they’ve never experienced rain during a performance before this concert. On the one hand, I can see why given they hadn’t been rained out on that particular tour, but on another it’s just strange that they would be having this conversation about being careful of the rain for what seems to be the first time in their career. Either way, I can chalk the entire existence of this conversation up to needing content/conflict for the documentary.

This one is more a comment on the whole documentary but it is cut up in that new-agey style of filmmaking where footage seems to be taken out of its original context to create a particular story-like effect on camera. There’s a bunch of cuts in that scene that allude to some footage being edited out. Whether or not that footage contains conversations about Jimin and Jungkook particularly is up in the air. So I’ll chalk up the shifty editing to the editors trying to make a product that tells a certain story, even if that certain story diverges from reality.

Jin and J-Hope’s non-verbal reactions are very strange given the context of the conversation. Jin is staring between Jimin and Jungkook (makes sense, the convo at that point was about them) but he’s looking on with this knowing smile. And J-Hope just looks straight up exasperated at times. He looks like he’s nervous/embarrassed and pulls his hat down over his face like so. At one point RM looks at J-Hope with a similar smile as Jin’s. I’ll chalk this one up to those 3 having an inside joke that maybe the audience isn’t in on?

Now this one is the straw that breaks the camel’s back for me. It is the fact that the Rose Bowl moment was the previous tour stop before Soldier Field (i.e. when the ‘rain convo’ took place). Up until that point JK and Jimin definitely had a lot of touchy moments on stage but none were so controversial as JK actually shoving Jimin’s ear down his gullet. Even in the behind-the-scenes footage and while they were on stage the members seemed to kind of look at them like:

When I consider the grander context and consider Item #4, Item’s 1-3 become hard to write off for me. There are parts of that conversation that don’t even refer to rain and just flat out go in on Jimin and Jungkook (in a funny/loving way) for ??? being too powerful in their performances I guess? Idk that point was very weird to me given that they’re not the only 2 that go hard... Just seems weird to call them out specifically and have it come from J-Hope himself who usually goes the hardest on stage... And later on in the episode, J-Hope freely admits that he’s not even worried about dancing on the wet stage so like??? What was the point in even having that scene where y’all call out Jimin and JK if it’s not even that big of a deal? Again, I can write this off as the producers/directors/editors needing to manufacture drama and adversity for bts but it just doesn’t make that much sense to me.

Now, for what I think happened it’s honestly just a strong opinion. I hate getting analytical (which I’ve done this whole post) but the nature of what I think happened requires me to do so. I think this was double-speak where J-Hope, RM, and Jin were taking advantage of the rain conversation to actually admonish Jimin and JK for the stage antics and kind of advise them to tone it down. Up until that point they had just been doing more and more wild shit, and after that point it was slightly less wild until they went on vacation. When I consider all of these things, I really can’t shake the idea that that conversation was very revealing to me in showing that 1. Jimin and JK may actually be a thing, 2. the members have some knowledge about it, and 3. there was likely some apprehension at that time surrounding the Rose Bowl moment.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think anyone is trying to “hide” them at all, I just think there was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction that was more worried for them than anything. Either way, this scene helps the case for me that JK & Jimin are actually a thing.
