[Wall of text of lore below~]
TW// Suicidal ideation
Angels wander the city of Shibiya to lead spirits to the afterlife. They cannot be seen, unless they want to be and have no personal want of emotions or free will. They cannot feel the way humans do. Physically or emotionally.
Angel Joshua arrives to lead away suicidal teen, Neku. But he wavers and Neku decides against his decision. Joshua becomes intrigued by Neku when the teenager goes out of their way to save the life of another, when Neku was so ready to give up on their own. It's a spark of fascination for Joshua that quickly fades, as time goes on and the depressed-teen-turned-hero-friend fades to memory.
Years later and Joshua is doing the rounds in a local hospital when he spies a familiar face. Neku, now in scrubs, doing his medical residency. During a young patient's last moments, Neku refuses to let the child die and his eyes meet with Joshua's. Neku doesn't see the angel of course, but a familiar spark lights up in Josh. He begins to follow Neku's daily comings and goings in the hospital, then outside of the hospital. Despite careful (but entertained) warning from his angelic colleges, Joshua makes himself known to Neku, and only Neku.
Apprehensive and disbelieving at first, Neku eventually begins to believe this angel and they become closer (or as close as one can get to a being with little comprehension about Emotions). Neku decided on a medical career since the day he helped save a (now) friend's life. He wanted to help people but realized that the job was a lot harder on one's emotional and mental well-being. Unfortunately, you lose as many lives as you save in his profession.
In talks with Joshua, Neku remembers another thing he loved to do: sing. He never had time to indulge more in this hobby, thanks to his studies but after Joshua mentions how he's got a nice voice, he begins to experiment with the idea of writing music.
We also see the two try to make sense of Joshua's sudden interest in human free will, and thanks to a friend(?) of Joshua's, they locate someone interesting: a fallen Angel. He explains that when an Angel falls from Grace and obtain free will, they become human and receive all the pros and cons that come with it. However, it's not an easy thing for an Angel to do; physically and morally. Also fun fact: fallen angels can see other angels, all the time.
Regardless, Neku starts catching feelings for Joshua and the Angel finds himself mentally struggling to make sense of human attraction. It's like an itch he can never reach, much less scratch. Frustrated and unable to get through Joshua's hard shell (or understand his motives), Neku leaves Shibuya without resolution with Josh.
Joshua is an Angel assigned to Shibuya, and thus unable to leave to look for Neku. The time apart does something to him, and he feels what he believes is loneliness. Or heartache? Whatever it is, the thought of never seeing Neku again is horrifying. He does the unthinkable and Falls. When he wakes up, everything hurts. Hurts. He bleeds, his stomach turns from hunger, his eyes ache and tears stream down his face. But he's...happy. He feels exuberant joy. Joshua travels across the boundaries of his world, exits Shibuya and follows Neku's trail.
Neku answers the door to a rain-soaked, ripped clothing, feet bleeding, wide grin now-human, Joshua. He has little time to process the scene before him, before Joshua word vomits all these new sensations he's been having and confesses his feelings for Neku. How else can Neku respond but with a kiss (now that they can physically touch each other) and they spend the night together.
Neku later explains that he needed some alone time to think, so he cashed in a favor. He left to take a break, but then took the opportunity to make lemonade, so to speak. Neku used a friend's recording studio outside the city to write a song and record it. Upon hearing it, Joshua was brought to tears. It was beautifully melancholic, but hopeful. It suited Neku.
A few days on and the couple is relishing this time together... but disaster inevitably arrives. Neku leaves on a bike to retrieve some groceries, leaving Joshua behind with a "Be right back."
Only minutes later does Joshua feel anxiety grip him and he knows something bad has happened. He runs the road that Neku took, finding the young man in the street, having been in a traffic accident. Neku mumbles something about a beautiful light, then dies in Joshua's arms.
The days both drag on and fly by as Joshua tries to now live as a human without the person he wanted to be human with. Despite it all, Neku had met good people and they help Joshua through his turmoil. Eventually, Joshua decides to release Neku's song to the world and it grips anyone who hears it. His life is lost, but his voice will live on and fill his (and others) world with music.
Congrats on making it this far please enjoy this [your favorite donut]

So three complete years including the time Soori was born till she left for good?
I'm sorry if these questions annoy you I really have a thing to know the details when I read.
And another question, was Koo planning to marry her anytime soon or he was aware of the change in their dynamics? because I remember him saying that he's not been himself for a long time and he's felt unloved and empty. I feel bad for him tho.
please, please, please don't apologise!! I love these type of questions, I can't even begin to explain how much. plus interacting with you guys is genuinely one of my favorite things ever, so ask away!!
to answer your question: yes, three years and a bit. it all unfolded in that amount of time basically. in chapter one, he walks into the living room and sees she'd even left her phone on the coffee table. when he turns it on, there's a picture they'd taken at the beginning stages of their relationship as her wallpaper. he mentions it being taken three years ago!!
jungkook was very much aware of everything that was going on, and he was trying to, well, fight for her and for their family. he became aware of it all since it started happening during the pregnancy, and things just got worse the moment Soo was born basically. he mentions trying, counselling and going on family trips to try and make her happy and back to her old self. he wanted them to bond as a family more than everything, but it wasn't enough. that's why he felt unloved and empty - it was really hard on him, too. being a first time dad and seeing how much he loved soori and how he had this instinctual need to love and protect her, yet she didn't. and of course, this also made her resent him, so they became distant too.

Transfem Leo go brrrrrrrrrrrr <3
A concept I've had in my head of transfem Leo for a while. She'd always felt a little more feminine than her brothers, but just embraced it. It wasn't like she was too upset about being their brother, but the label never settled right. Until Donnie decides that they need like- full DNA/Genetic evaluations just in case they have some underlying issues just waiting to jump out at them and surprise! Leo is biologically female!
Presenting this information to Leo, Donnie is prepared for a gender crisis, but instead he's greeted by Leo being incredibly excited and happy about this news. Leo tells Donnie that she's never really felt like their brother, but didn't think it was too big of an issue to bring up, but then Donnie gives her this information and she's ready to embrace the sister title with her entire being. Finally, it all makes sense! She's not their brother and she never was!
The gender identity crisis hits later when she has a moment of "I'm not trans, but I am and oh god I don't have a communty-", but for now she confides in her brother her true identity
For a while she decides to go by "Doe" because it's close enough to Leonardo, but when her brothers call her Leo she can tell they say the name with their "brother" in mind, so until they get used to her identity, she just sticks with Doe
I rotate her in my mind constantly alsdjflasdf
Tea made some wonderful art of her Here and Here!!!! I still treasure these very much!!

What I think is particularly heart breaking about this episode, is that Esteban is immortalizing a memory that Cecil doesn’t get to experience. Esteban knows about his grandfather, because he has heard the story several times before according to Abby, in fact they all just heard it. Cecil is experiencing, second hand, remnants of a memory that slides off of him. It refuses to stick.
There is something so poetic to me about Cecil being a reporter, a journalist, an observer, and doing everything to piece together a story from literal scraps of his own life, only to find its already been written for him. The story has already been told. Cecil doesn’t listen to stories, he tells them. I can think of nothing more infuriating than a story being told and not having a satisfying ending, or an ending that makes sense. Nothing within the story justified the ending. And yet we have seen it before throughout the show.
I am reminded of the episode It Doesn’t Hold Up, where Cecil watches the last few minutes of his comfort film Cat Ballou, changed and different. He has seen the same movie over and over and over again, and now the ending is different. In the drawing Esteban drew in 245, there is a shovel stuck into the dirt, and there is a boy climbing into a tree. In the ending of Cat Ballou, there is a man digging into the base of the tree. Just like in the episode It Sticks With You, when Abby, Cecil and their mother journey into the woods, and Cecil climbs into a tree over and over and over again until he can no longer remember the outing with his husband and son. Just like in Cassettes, when a young Cecil’s story is cut short, in an ending that Cecil refuses to listen to, immortalized on tape.
Just like in Liminal Spaces, when Cecil enters a space that is neither here nor there and is haunted by someone who tells him that he wants Cecil to remember. The very face that Cecil saw in Cat Ballou in It Doesn’t Hold Up. In fact, he tells Cecil he has no choice, before once again, he is pulled from the story.
Cecil’s whole life is one long interrupted narrative. It’s as if he is an old cassette that isn’t rewound all the way before pulled out of the slot and put back on a shelf. The next person to listen to the tape, unknowing, doesn’t realize where they’re starting off is not the beginning. There are things missing. Cecil has gotten so good at forgetting (and justifiably so) — has forgotten how to stop. He’s recording over the same tape over and over again until the tape inside is no longer coherent. I’m thinking, of the sound of a cassette being rewound, and how it could sound very much like how Cecil is often describing owl sounds.
So, how disquieting, to have your own family stare back at you, privy to information about yourself that you do not get to have. Cecil is there, quite literally, to construct a story for his town, but who is there to construct a story for him? A man you used to hate? A sister you aren’t sure you even like? A husband who you have forgotten before? Children who see and hear more than you realize? The listener?
No. Instead he will sit until dawn comes, and be made a fool out of trying to create a story, maybe even a better one, out of scraps of memories.

MiqoMarch Day 23 - Midnight
With their intended voyage into the void only a few days out, Arsay thought it the upmost importance that she steal her partner away to Kugane, that they might share one more fond memory together should things not turn out the way they plan in the thirteenth. It was as they crossed the very same bridge the miqo'te had once sat on together two years prior when Arsay gifted Y'shtola with a bracelet matching that of her own. A token of endearment which, Arsay confessed, she would have given to her fellow scion back then, had nerves not gotten the best of her. While their relationship has undoubtedly changed since the initial purchase of the jewellery, the sentiment remained the same. Y'shtola was someone who Arsay loved dearly and she will forever be grateful to have the seeker's life intertwined with her own. No matter where their free spirits took them, they would always hold each other in their hearts. A promise Y'shtola was more than willing to keep. She slipped the the string of beads around her wrist without a second thought. They were never to come off, not even when the two decided to delay their return to Radz-at-Han in favour of a private bath at the dead of night.

The way they closed Nat's arc though. Every time she's tried to save the people she loved she was too late. She felt every single one of those deaths on her. She was tired of people dying for her/because of her.
She was the Queen, their guide, the provider and she was never able to save them in time. Then there's Lisa, who she probably sees herself in about to be killed by one of the Yellowjackets. The cycle's about to repeat: someone's about to die for her once again. So Nat does what she was always supposed to do. She was meant to die that day but she hadn't. People kept dying in her stead. She had to stop it.
It was never about overcoming her pain, it was about accepting that death was always her destiny. It was about finally being able to save someone for a change.

im listening to some zelda music compilations again and i gotta say 2 things
damn does the hyrule warriors, aoc included, line have some bangers or what
and damn, if you ignore the absolut blast i was having fighting koga, does totks music on its own make me feel things the game never did, like i dont wanna sound like i keep hating on it but man the music is SO GOOD in ways the game didnt deliver on and when i hear it i just kinda drift off into what id imagine the game being like with music like this and then be sad about the real one
like the trailer music alone is just GOD what it made me think theyd dare do with the story after turning what was largely considered THE zelda gameplay so on its head, now surely totks gonna be daring in terms of story, its the most logical progressio-
oh :(

Honestly could we throw out the idea that totk's story issue is that it isn't consistent with the lore of the older games but instead drops intresting world building from botw because it might have gotten actually dark
