there has been some discourse lately between tomi stans vs the rest of the world which is so interesting to me

basically what hiitwt is arguing is that 1) tomi joining tripleS does not make any sense because 1.1) she's on hiatus 1.2) she already has a established career in japan like girlie is booked and busy (and probably overworking herself most of the time) 1.3) the girl on the teasers does not look like tomi at all !!! 😭 2) why is everyone so desperate for hitomi to join tripleS saying such things as omg i miss her and whatnot when she is very much active and has been the last three years, not only through idol activities but variety shows and dramas 3) the rumor literally came out of nowhere

what hitomi stans are saying is if all these stans actually kept up with hitomi's career they wouldn't be so desperate for her to "come back" when she hasn't gone anywhere lol (until now, since she's on a much deserved hiatus resting w her family). some say it's a language barrier sort of thing, since jpop isn't as accessible as kpop. less update accounts less eng subs etc etc

but now more on a personal note, it's pretty obvious i'm a huge fan of hitomi (url pfp lol) and it's so crazy to me to see kpop stans complaining about the thing i just mentioned. i know of hitomi thanks to kpop and izone which doesn't automatically mean i will be also into jpop just because of hitomi (actually in this case it would be bc of nako lol). but since i love tomi so dearly i do my best to keep up with the japanese contents - see what she's up to, what mvs she is in, what dramas she is in, her graduation concert. what being a fan of an idol entails, really. are there really people out there who ... pretend to care about hiichan? lmao or people who do not value the japanese pop industry? singers just cease to exist as soon as they step out of south korea? idk. it's just a bit crazy to see hitomi related discourse. and seeing fans sort of expecting her to do things she has clearly left behind. i hope she has no clue abt this because people r being reaaal annoying on that damn app lol
