I debated if I was going to archive this, since this is a Taekook focused blog, but since the 2017 Tokyo trip is in the timeline, and over time people, whether purposely or inadvertently, misremember events, I’m going to go ahead and create + preserve a factual post with real time information. You can read this and interpret it as you like.
On September 3, 2023, Jk was a guest on Yoongi’s show Suchwita (which Tae joined halfway through). During the show, Yoongi mentioned Jimin going to America with Jungkook (Jk had gone for work promos).

Jk shares the backstory, that prior to the trip, at some undisclosed date “ages ago,” Jimin said it would be fun to do a travel show together.

After their conversation, nothing came about, but then staff “suddenly” set up a shoot (in America). Jk finishes sharing the backstory with a laugh.

Fast forward to November 2023 and Jungkook and Jimin go to Japan to film a documentary, as reported by the media (we could presume for the time being it’s possibly for the same travel documentary, though at the time of this posting, December 7, 2023, it’s not confirmed it’s specifically for this documentary) -

Jimin was spotted in Ginza on November 23 without Jk. Unfortunately, the woman was bullied for being honest in saying Jk wasn’t with Jimin, so while she praised Jimin and had posted a positive post and experience, she ended up having to delete it because of bullies.

In addition to filming for a documentary, Jungkook was busy with promos for his solo debut album “Golden”, and recorded Countdown TV (TBS) while in Japan. As reported by J media, while they were in Tokyo for work (album promos and the documentary) Jk and Jimin stayed in different hotels.

November 25 - J media also reported that Jk was spotted at an abura soba restaurant in Ginza (ChuoWard, Tokyo), then walked around Ginza with his bodyguard before heading to Haneda airport, while Jimin, in the exact words of the news media “seemed to be enjoying curry at CoCo Ichi in Shinjuku.” Photos of Jk at the soba restaurant-

Sometimes members post content after the date has passed, but on the same day he visited the curry shop (November 25), Jimin uploaded to his IG a photo of himself dining there (I believe his second photo in this upload was possibly not on the same day, since the outfit in picture 2 appears different to me, so I left it out to not cause confusion).

The media article reported that the two members flew out of Haneda for Hokkaido after. This confirms these separate dining photos would’ve been on November 25, since this is the day they flew to Sapporo. In addition, Jk and Jimin were seen wearing what appeared to be those same outfits they dined in at the Haneda airport -

🔸The whole thing, I mean, of group policy is, first of all, that the group couldn't agree on the one single. Because it was to do with the film and also to do with the new Queen product. Because what's happened – I think for the first time in Queen's life – is that we actually made a film soundtrack, but we've also made a Queen album – so, we had to try to let people know that it's not just a soundtrack, because we've got other songs as well. So it's hard to depict, that it's not all one soundtrack, and it's not just Queen. We had to try to bring two projects together. And so, I mean, within the members of the band as well, we were fighting as to who liked which song. So we couldn't agree at all, and basically what happened in the end, we decided there should be two singles, released synchronously in different territories, and because the film is out in America first, we wanted to go with 'Princes Of The Univers' which goes with the film. But over here, Great Britain, we released 'A Kind Of Magic', because we thought that if we release 'Princes Of The Universe' to go with the film, then nobody is gonna see the film here until about July, and they have to know what it means. So, sometimes you have to sort of get that diplomacy, and work out things. So, in America they've got 'Princes of the Universe', over here is 'A Kind Of Magic'.....To start off, it was a Queen project as such anyway, but we did only, like, five tracks to go in the film, and there's about nine tracks now... Is it nine? Yes, about nine tracks. So these additional tracks, which are not in the film – so it is a Queen, a new Queen album anyway"

Yuzuki's first photobook is shot in Akita, northeast Japan. It's her first time to a snowy region ever[1]. You get to see her innocence playing in the snow, as well as in a nostalgic classroom, swimming pool, with Akita's signature dish Kiritanpo[2] and many different scenarios.
For the Tokyo section, Yuzuki visited Amazing Coffe[3] and went bowling, with a theme of her day-off.
Yuzuki's Comment
I will release my first photobook, Yuzuki. I never thought I would have my own photobook, I was very surprised and very happy about the project. We went to Akita for this book. This is my first time visiting the northeast. Seeing the scenic snow, I was excited all throughout the shoot. In the Tokyo part, I think you an learn more about who I am in private. I'd love for this photobook to be my name card. Please enjoy it.

But can you imagine War Dogs doing a shoot like that? Clark would be ALL OVER it, he already thinks he's a model/movie star. I want a whole photobook of it, take my money 💰

Thank you, thank you so much for responding.. i thought you would ignore considering i started off saying am a larrie..i hope that is the case, i hope louis really got it out of his system and healed.. i just hope he knows he is gem of a person from what I’ve seen.. you may disagree with me but i thought they were still together or got together after their definite break up(which most people does not think) in 2022 was because louis wore ‘maison’ shirt on harry’s house album release day.. now in hindsight it kind of pisses me off that he does such things.. supporting harry for his album though he has got over enthusiastic team to promote his work but harry did nothing to show his support for Louis’ album release(paraded in malls with his new person).. later in one of his concerts made a joke that there is no place for short kings in his house and dedicated the one song ‘sweet creature’ which i thought no matter what would stay louis’ to his sister.. its just unfair that louis loyal to a fault does not get what he usually gives to people..🥺🥺 and for some reason he has to face all these troubles from all directions(blacklisting, no proper team to promote his work)
For what it’s worth, I do believe that there was some contact between Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson between 2015 and 2018, even if it was just for strategic planning of their solo careers.
I do believe that some of the “coincidences” were coordinated, and Louis was talked into doing some things demanded from him (the Larry denial on Dan Wootton’s interview, for example), which turned out mostly to benefit Harry’s solo career. And whatever this stunt with Nick Grimshaw was. Maybe these were conditions set by Sony for Louis to be promoted in his own career; maybe he genuinely thought Harry would mutually reciprocate his good will.
I look back on Matt Vines’ following Jeff Azoff in December 2018, right as Louis’ judging on X Factor UK ended, and at the cusp of Louis’ releasing singles for Walls. What curious timing that was! Matt Vines doesn’t follow Niall’s or Liam’s or Zayn’s management.
I look back at the overlapped promo of Walls and Fine Line, and the probability that Harry’s promo was scheduled for his second album to be released in September 2019 (Rolling Stone cover shot in May 2019, The Face cover shoot and interview, and others) but pushed to December because the release of Walls the album was also delayed by Fizzy’s death in 2019)— the way that Sony stacked their release schedules to bury Louis’ album.
And, more speculatively, I believe in some contact throughout 2018 until Louis stopped it, based on various things. It makes sense to me from a songwriting and movement perspective. Believe it or not, there were blogs tracking their flights and locations to prove “the two week rule.” Larries’ boundless invasion of privacy was the reason they always smugly upheld Larry, until they changed their minds and told their followers that couples can spend decades apart, starting around 2018. It was obvious that Harry was in Japan for months in winter 2018, while Louis was in the UK, and Harry spent most of his time with Camille Rowe’s friends, Kid Harpoon, the Queer Eye guys, and possible new gf prospect Kiko Mitsuhara.
In 2019, Louis was still invited to perform for the Hits Live Birmingham concert (May 2019), and he still got a few spins on Hits Live. Capital FM had stopped playing any Louis Tomlinson solo music after December 2017. Louis did a charity performance for BBC Radio in 2019, but they played his solo music minimally.
I think Louis knew, after the announcement of the title of Walls was delayed so Harry could put out the Lights Up music video (on International Coming Out Day, same day as Just Like You), how Walls promo going to go. It would just be Louis and his team going up against the entire UK establishment, who are always going to side with the powerful and moneyed.
It’s funny when Larries say that Louis released Walls on January 31 for Harry’s birthday, because 1. Louis didn’t even remember the release day when he played the game with the Louie, and 2. because of what happened that day. James Corden had Meghan Trainor on Carpool Karaoke that night (her album was released the same day). While Louis was giving his concert in Rough Trade, NYC, Harry was filming a segment in Miami with James Corden’s parents, then preparing for his disastrous pre-Super Bowl gig that got flooded out, then having dinner with Rande Gerber at 1 or 2 AM in Miami, then flying to LA for a birthday party for Jeff’s gf Glenne where Harry was filmed completely blitzed. Very romantic of Harry, wasn’t it?
So I don’t think it’s plausible to think that Louis would consider disclosing any of his future timeline to one of his former bandmates just to be upstaged again, when his bandmate obviously had no hesitation tanking his first album (and staying quiet while his fans told Liam Payne to kill himself after LP1 came out). I think it’s pretty funny in retrospect to see that Liam and Niall had no idea— absolutely no idea— what Louis was doing professionally in 2020, which makes The Snuts’ comment that Louis is “quite private” even funnier. Obviously I think Louis wouldn’t be in a romantic relationship with Harry after all of this.
I think you mean that Louis wore a Maison Margiela shirt the day Harry’s House was released (I still can’t believe that Harry actually ripped off a Joni Mitchell title for a whole ass album). Gentle reminder that Louis has worn Maison Margiela for a long time. It is a design house with witty references that Louis has used to good effect. Famously, he wore a Maison Margiela sweater for the Walls music video (please read the post). I would think that by wearing Maison Margiela, Louis simply likes the designer or is referencing his own relationship to the designer rather than anything else. In addition, as I’ve already said, the idea of “Home” is central to Louis’ personal philosophy. As recently as 2021, Louis referenced the idea of home specifically in relation to writing Common People. I wouldn’t sell Louis short by trying so hard to connect it to Harry Styles.
In general, I feel that Louis’ music and his creative works should be considered as coming from a complete, intact artist who works for himself, with his own ideas, referencing his own life experiences, rather than in relation to anyone else.

Today 9naa Production announced Kiseki Chapter 1 with Tod Panapong and Cheque Wacharawee. They advertised it as some sort of prologue to Kiseki Chapter 2 - which by the looks (and number) of the promos seems to be the company's next big project. I wonder if they'll just salvage whatever material they've already shot with Tod and Cheque (who went to Japan earlier in the year to shoot the pilot) and re-edit it into some sort of prequel.
Ugh, great, now I've made myself sad again. I wish 9naa would release an official statement about Cheque (and Tod... because it seems like he's also severely affected by whatever's going on).

Anyway this is Harry's Style evolution part THREE part TWO (like how they made Breaking Dawn two movies ya get me?)

2020
January of 2020 feels like it was a lifetime ago, but here we are. Fine Line the album just came out in December and after preforming the full album twice, once in LA and once in London. Harry's back in London for award season.

Later in January arrives at Radio one in a gorgeous Bode jacket carrying Gucci's Jackie purse.
But girls (gender neutral) get comfy because it's time for the Brit Awards and the look we need to talk about is this one.

To DATE I think this is the best award show look he's ever worn, contending only with the leather suit at the Grammy. I really thought this was going to be the new style. It's sexy, it's slightly punk, it's BRIT POP references chock full!
The Mary Janes, the Brown suit with the purple sweater and blue lace color with the pearls and the HAIR! THE BRIT POP PUNK HAIR! This was *chefs kiss* I am absolutely devastated that we never got anything like her again.

Also at the Brit Awards he wears this yellow suit paired with purple necktie, and Treat People With Kindness pin. For his beautiful falling performance he wears a full lace ensemble including gloves. This night is also includes my blog name's origins.
Fine Line promo continues and Harry wears a myriad of cozy outfits.

In New York he wears a JW Anderson cardigan, later to become TikTok famous with the "Be Healthy, Eat Your Honey" shirt and Gucci jeans. Later he wears another sweater vest (staple of the FL Era,) and for NPR's Tiny Desk he wears a Gucci mohair sweater.
At the beginning of the end March 2020 Harry's shoot for Beauty Papers comes out. One of my FAVORITE editorials he's ever in.

These photos are gorgeous, camp, sexy, kind of eerie. He's photographed and directed by Casper Sejersen who I think absolutely killed it. Beauty Papers always has amazing queer camp shoots and I highly recommend paying attention to them.
The world goes into lockdown and H releases the previously recorded "Watermelon Sugar" music video "Dedicated to touching."

Like fr. This is the hottest he's ever been. Left he wears a hoodie that he made himself printed with photographs of philosopher Alain de Botton, and paired with the vintage military jacket he was wearing in Japan during 2019. Middle I just think this pic of him is so hot, and right he wears a custom Bode shirt.
September 2020 Harry becomes the first man to ever be on the cover of Vogue!

Y'all I was so excited when this first came out. So imagine when I opened the magazine and saw the absolute trash outfits they put him in for it. Like literally all of these outfits are some of the worst he's ever worn. Like honey clean up! Vogue is here!
The only piece I adored from this whole shoot was the custom Bode pants. Bode has a chokehold on me and I wish Harry L would've featured more of them in this shoot.

The MV for Golden is released after being filmed in Italy and heavily features both Gucci and S.S. Daley pieces. The Eliou necklaces he covets make their first official debut in this video as well.

In November he films (released in December) this performance for iHeartRadio. He's wearing head to toe Gucci with a custom Eliou necklace. His hair and this performance is so dreamy. (Left)
He also starts filming Don't Worry Darling *crowd boos* and among his cozy on set looks this is my favorite. The pictures of him this day really made me go gaga. He wears a Free & Easy shirt paired with Elder Statesmen sweatpants and New Balance sneakers.
2021
It's 2021 baby! Harry rings in the new year by releasing the video for TPWK with Phoebe Waller Bridge

Harry wore three! outfits to the Grammy's where he took home his first ever Grammy for Song of the Year. All three looks were Gucci and all featured feather boas which he never wore again! Which is odd because it really seemed like it was going to be a tour staple, but wasn't!

Throughout the summer and into fall his personal style is very casual, this makes sense. We're still in a pandemic and everyone is trending to a more casual fit sense. I had to include the pink beanie because every time I remember that it's $112 I go inside. Girl I got the same one for like $10 from Forever21 5 years ago!
April/May

In April Harry stars in a Gucci campaign along with many other celebs (left,) he also attends the Brit awards in May (Right) wearing a Gucci ensemble that isn't bad but is nothing to write home about. This is the first time we see him in Gucci Gazelle sneakers which will later become a staple.
September the long awaited Love on Tour officially starts!

The tour kicks off in Las Vegas with a fun sparkly Gucci outfit, and continues with these suspender/open shirts/high waisted pants that we saw on the Fine Line cover. These outfits are underwhelming but do ultimately make sense.

BTS’ SUGA Returns as Agust D to Tackle Loneliness, Humanity & Being Acknowledged
Back under his solo moniker, SUGA is feeling two decades of songwriting and producing connect universally: "We're finally getting recognized as musicians."
Most famously known as SUGA from BTS — but also by the solo moniker Agust D, as well as birth name Min Yoongi — the artist who works as a rapper, singer, producer, dancer, fashion muse and NBA ambassador wants to remind listeners that, above all, he is a human.
Today, April 7, marks the return of Agust D, the name SUGA uses when releasing solo projects away from BTS, with the new single “People Pt.2” featuring K-pop superstar IU. Not only does it mark the duo’s latest collaboration after teaming for the No. 1 hit on Billboard‘s World Digital Song Sales chart “eight” from May 2020, it also acts as an extension from “People,” a fan-favorite cut from Agust D’s D-2 mixtape released that same month. While the original “People” saw SUGA reflecting on himself and meditating on how others judge and change, Part 2 longs for connection with others.
As multifaceted as SUGA’s world is, loneliness is a permanent source of inspiration and intrigue for the 30-year-old. Hours before “People Pt.2” drops worldwide, his call with Billboard occurs alongside multiple international teams who work around the clock for SUGA and BIGHIT MUSIC artists. Some are beside him physically, others via Zoom connection virtually — but loneliness remains a muse for the star, assisting him in searching within and speaking to listeners in larger, universal ways.
Since its debut, BTS’ musical appeal has reached globally largely through the septet’s extended metaphors and imagery, translating into accessible storytelling alongside boundary-pushing compositions and choreography. SUGA’s range of material is vast, after producing on essentially every BTS album, not to mention scoring high-profile collaborations with everyone from Halsey and Juice WRLD to Epik High and Japan’s ØMI. Despite an already packed spring and summer with album promo, his solo world tour, ambassadorship duties and a YouTube series, SUGA cheekily closes out our chat (“Yeah, it’s f–king busy,” he says with a wink) since he has no time to waste. Read on as he narrows in on the release of “People Pt.2” and all that’s led up to this reflective pop/hip-hop collaboration.
We’re hours away from the release of “People Pt.2,” your official return as Agust D for your D-Day album. Is there a different mindset when you prepare music as Agust D versus solo or as SUGA alongside BTS?
SUGA: They’re all music made by the person called Min Yoongi. So, I don’t actually have a very different mindset for each moniker — but I would say that the purposes could be somewhat different. Ultimately, the goal of releasing this music is for as many people to listen to my music as possible. So, “People Pt.2” was made thinking about how people will receive Agust D’s music, which is why we also featured IU. It’s kind of a trial to release this music under the name Agust D. I’m actually a little bit worried.
“People Pt.2” (featuring IU) of course follows up “People” from the D-2 mixtape. What was important about continuing this story with IU?
This is a story that you’ll personally love: The title wasn’t originally “People Pt.2.” Actually, “People” from D-2 is personally my favorite song — and we actually worked on “People Pt.2” three years ago. When I was releasing my pictorial [Photo-Folio Wholly or Whole Me] photo shoot, the company actually revealed the guide [demo] version and gave a glimpse of it to the public. But anyway, it was already finished when we were working on D-2 so I was thinking, “Oh, I should release this, I should release this.” But we had to get on with “Butter” and “Dynamite” so we didn’t get the chance.
Originally, the title was “Sara (사라),” without the “M (ㅁ)” consonant in Korean — because that’s, like, one consonant less than the word “saram (사람),” which is Korean for “people.” Depending on whichever consonant you put at the end of the word sara (사라), it can become “saram (사람)” and “people,” or it can become “sarang 사랑,” or “love” in Korean. So, it’s the listener’s choice to put which consonant you want at the end of “sara” (사라). But I had my friend listen to this son and people heard it as “sal-ah (살아)” which kind of means “live” in Korean and I was like, “This is not going to work.” So, we finalized the title to be “People” in the end.
And some people call me August D, some people call me Ah-gust D, but I’m actually Agust D. So, you know, people take my name differently and we had to sync the person SUGA and Agust D. This is a song that kind of matches that sync. We need that bridge and sync between my mixtape and this official solo album. In order to put that sync together, I had to make this a very pop song. We didn’t try to make the music video that intense — and, in that sense, IU really played an important role in doing that. I also think this is a genre that I can do best, this pop-focused song.
There’s this sync between songs, but the themes and lyrics are very different, right? “People” was self-reflective and examined other people’s judgments, but “People Pt.2” seems more about connection and fighting loneliness. What most differentiates the two in your mind?
In the past — and I’ve always said this in my interviews — personally, I think loneliness is being together in modern society. I always talk about loneliness in my interviews, but regretfully, it isn’t always in the final interview. Not only me, everyone has this loneliness inside them until the moment they die. However deep you are in a relationship, how much you engage with other people, how many friends you meet, or how often you meet with your family, you always have the loneliness inside.
So, I started with this keyword of “loneliness” three years ago, and I wouldn’t say there’s much difference in that everybody can feel pain and agonized. It’s the same with me. Whether it’s me from BTS, SUGA, Min Yoongi, or Agust D, I always have that inside me too. People might see me as someone who wouldn’t have any concerns or worries or that I don’t feel any agony, but I feel those emotions too. I’m trying to find a way to fight those and overcome those too.
This album doesn’t really finalize everything in its message either. So, there might be a possibility there could be a “Part 3” later on. For now, we’re just trying to say, “Let’s not hate each other. Let’s find a way.”
I like that — because even in the Road to D-Day documentary trailer, there’s a moment you say you frequently consider quitting music. But when people come together, it makes you realize you can do it and have fun. Does this tie into themes of “People Pt.2”?
This is kind of a difficult topic, because I started making music and writing lyrics [when] I was 11 or 12 years old. I’ve been making music for all these years, and now I’m 30. It wasn’t easy writing “People Pt.2,” and the album overall, but people really don’t know the whole process of that. Even though I’d been making music more than half of my life — and I’m just saying this because you understand this, Jeff — when we first started in the K-pop scene, we were in this ambiguous position of not being accepted as musicians and not being accepted as idols either. But the musicians close to me know that I’m very serious and sincere in music and that I’m a very natural person.
So, the documentary started as I just wanted to capture and show this process. It started with the purpose of showing SUGA as a producer and songwriter, but it kind of ended up having the worldview of an album-making process. I tried to show the normal, individual side of me as much as possible, but as I am a Korean idol, or K-idol, a lot of scenes were edited out; there were more of those natural scenes and some very good scenes that couldn’t make it in the final version. The documentary and “People Pt.2” try to reveal the natural side of the human Min Yoongi. I just wanted to show that I am this humane person. I am just a human.
You need to release your “Director’s Cut” one day. While D-Day and the documentary are coming, I want to congratulate you on the worldwide release of D-2 and Agust D this week. My favorite song, “Agust D” with the sample of “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World,” was finally added to streaming too. You shared how J. Cole approved BTS’ “Born Singer” sample, what can you share about the process with James Brown‘s estate?
I released Agust D when I was still very young, so, even as I listen to it now, it kind of sounds immature — if you listen to the tone, the rap itself wasn’t very organized, I wanted to do a lot of things at that time. It just kind of keeps going very tightly and quickly. But after doing so much various and diverse music, I think that people love the songs that have been released more recently than the songs that were released back then. So, I kind of dare say that people are starting to recognize and acknowledge these songs now. Since the musician actually passed away, I think it was the family who decided to acknowledge it.
Same thing with [clearing] “Born Sinner” — and I don’t know what the path was for the musician themselves, but it was clear. And I take it as that I, as BTS, and Min Yoongi, and SUGA, and Agust D, was acknowledged as a musician. I’m really not thinking that broader consumers or audiences will accept it, because it’s not really popular music. Still, I would dare assume that it’s getting cleared because we’re finally getting recognized as musicians.

It makes me think about Kenny’s IWGP US title reign after he beat Ospreay…
i considered dedicating an entire section in that post to how aew handled the ospreay-omega feud (and the fan reactions that followed) so as you can probably guess i'm incredibly happy to be prompted to talk about it separately. as it is something i'm very passionate about
(it's also what i alluded to when talking about a "story-heavy match" at forbidden door, so... you know)
i think a few things go into why kenny only had one defense with the belt, but the most important thing that stands out to me is that he wasn't supposed to have a second "reign" with the belt, per se. all he needed to do was take the belt from ospreay, and then drop the belt back to ospreay, because these were necessary story beats in their feud. what happened in between was... largely inconsequential in the grand scheme of things—and, upon passing the belt over to aew, they continued to treat it as such
as this was all happening, i remember thinking that maybe there was an underlying reason that had to do with... something shoot-related, i guess. maybe something like kenny wanting to be in the best possible shape for forbidden door, having less matches until then. but then the cage match with mox happened and that whole idea flew out the window
so, what remains is... the idea that aew didn't care about the us title belt. even if this wasn't the case, it definitely felt like it. but, then again, i also sometimes think about the possibility of kenny having a slew of dead-end squash matches (akin to the proving ground matches they keep putting athena in over on roh) and how... that would've been leagues worse than one memorable match with jeff cobb. but, at the end of the day, they definitely sidelined the belt itself while it was in kenny's hands
it's a bit ridiculous, actually, because over on the new japan side of things, the absence of the belt had a bigger impact than the presence of it did in aew. the mini tournament, ospreay's chase for the top contender spot... that's where all the action was. this, of course, was only ever brought up in passing, and in the video package they featured on the actual ppv
speaking of forbidden door, i think going into that match you were pretty much required to have known what was going on in new japan, otherwise the result left you either confused or even outright dissatisfied (ignoring the portion of the outrage that was simply just people disliking ospreay himself). without wrestle kingdom, without resurgence, without dominion, without ospreay's promos... the whole thing falls flat on its face. and it's because it's a new japan storyline that just happened to have its conclusion at a crossover event. it's an ospreay-centric story that kenny inserted himself into at historic x-over, and if you look at it from any other angle, it doesn't make a lick of sense

hi, my name is melia! i've been listening to kpop since 2016 and a carat since 2017, i stanned right around clap era. i listen to a bunch of other groups but i don't stan anyone except svt. and as you might have been able to tell from my blog header, i am, in fact, a huihui :')
my main blog is @corvid-lesbian. you can follow me there if you want, but it's a mess of untagged reblogs, so it may not be that interesting. but i mainly wanted to bring it up since you may see the username in replies and i want y'all to know that's also me!
about this blog
this is a sideblog that was originally just for reblogs of svt/kpop stuff but i started running it as an update blog in late 2019. caratblr and kpop tumblr in general used to be really active when i first got into kpop, but over the years more and more people left for twitter or became inactive in general due to life stuff. when all the general svt update blogs became inactive i didn't want to see caratblr die, so i thought, fine, i'll do it myself >:3
unfortunately i can't speak korean so i'm not a translator, and i live on almost the exact opposite side of the world from korea so i'm not in an ideal timezone for updates. but i'm dedicated to what i do and i like to think i've gotten pretty good at scoping out information and resources about seventeen and conveying it to the tumblr sphere over the last few years :')
what i post
my rule of thumb is i try to post updates within 24 hours. on the rare occasion i can't meet that, i'll make a post notifying that updates will be late
if there's something you expected to see that i didn't post within 24 hours, you're welcome to send me an ask about it :3 occasionally i will just miss something or there may be a reason i didn't post it which i'll be happy to explain, but there are some kinds of content i just generally don't post (as specified below)

i do post youtube links for certain things like teasers, mvs, and appearances on channels other than the official seventeen/hybe channels. i don't tend to post youtube links for regular content like gose or inside seventeen, etc. though i will occasionally

i don't usually post anything related to merch
i also primarily stick to official seventeen channels (so for things like magazine shoots, i do post any promo shots uploaded to svt's twitter or instagrams, but i don't post any additional promo shots posted to the magazine's social media)
theoretically i also post weibo updates, but a lot of the stuff jun and minghao + pledis post these days are also cross posted on twitter or instagram so i haven't been as good at checking it recently
i don't post event information that is region specific (to korea, japan, etc.) i do post general event announcements (tours, online concerts, etc.)
i'll also post random information/updates that may be of particular interest or significance, even if it doesn't fit within the categories i normally post (there may also be other categories i could add to this list that i'm forgetting)
for all the things i say i don't post, there are always exceptions. but those categories are usually one's that i have posted in the past and have learned people don't have an interest in, or (like ig stories) are too intensive to always post even though i know people would appreciate seeing them
i am one person, and i've learned to limit myself so as to not experience burnout, and because i've been suffering from wrist pain since summer of 2021 or so TT so please be understanding that i can't post everything ;-;

being shippy in the tags or reblogs of my posts i don't care what people get up to on their own blog, but shipping real people personally makes me uncomfortable. and if you're in the tags of my post making shippy comments or writing explicit self-insert fanfiction (yes this has happened) i'm going to block you. just make a separate post so i don't have to see it and we'll all be happy
being antagonistic in my inbox or on my posts the inevitability of posting on the internet is that sometimes people don't agree with you. i've had a lot of healthy discourse on this blog and i don't mind engaging with people who disagree with me on things. but if i feel like you're coming at the conversation in bad faith/being overly antagonistic or trying to argue with me over something i didn't even say, i won't entertain it. luckily this doesn't happen often, but it has happened

what’s your favorite bug era?
This answer ended up being rather long!
Uhhh well let’s see. My top three favourite bug albums are probably abbey road, the white album, and rubber soul, but I wouldn’t say these are my favourite eras aesthetically mainly because a) thinking about the beatles as A Band during abbey road makes me want to shoot myself, which is why I normally skip past Paul’s songs b) I initially kind of loathed the white album aesthetic, but though I’ve grown to like it in an indie sleaze sort of way,

1) 1964

It’s probably the least daring of all the Beatles eras, but it’s always had a special place in my heart because watching A Hard Day's Night aged thirteen is what fully set off the Beatles psychosis that I’m still in the throes of to this day. I have watched that film an embarrassing amount of times, anyway. Can’t help it, feels like coming home.

2) 1967

This night in particular! Probably the best they all looked at one time. Ringo’s tie! George’s suit! John’s! Everything! Paul’s slutty lil scarf!
For me, nothing beats the psychedelic dandy looks they were serving in early 1967, but Wales/Magical Mystery Tour still kills and I have an incredible amount of fondness for the whimsical thriller movie aesthetic they had going on during promos for the Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane single. But enough talk. Here are some images:

In terms of aesthetics, I mentally divide 1966 into four distinct eras: revolver sessions, Germany, Japan, and Philippines tour, North America tour, and Psychedelic onset. As you could probably tell from my pfp choices of late, my favourite is probably the US tour -- mainly due to one member in particular. So here's a collage of my very favourite looks from my very special guy during this very trying year:

I don't get the people who say that the cmll/aew collab is one sided just because the Blackpool Combat Club have won most of their matches. The losses are building to something, there's a very clear purpose and reasoning backed up with in-ring storytelling.
Because if you actually watch what happens the matches, the bcc have won through cheap shots like Danielson doing a quick roll up after getting frustrated by being one-upped by Hechicero's mat skills, and Claudio doing the low blow in the 6 man tag. Which serves to piss the luchas off and fuel their feud to win cleanly, inviting the bcc to Arena Mexico to even the score in their home turf. And if the cmll guys are gonna win against the bcc, its def in Arena Mexico. Also, that take is also blatantly ignoring how Mistico has never lost a match in aew or how the cmll guys have won tag matches on Rampage. From a shoot perspective, on today's Collision, it makes sense that Esfinge and Star Jr would lose to the bcc bc within the cmll, they're considered midcarders. And shooting even more, most of the top cmll guys are gonna be in japan for fantasticamania, so they can't even show up in aew for a bit anyways.
I just believe it's going to be different with the cmll guys, because the guest luchas from aaa aren't as protected as the cmll luchas, from what I've read by lucha fans (hence why Mistico hasn't lost yet).
I don't get the idea that going on a losing streak always means bad booking, just look at Daniel Garcia and how his losses served to put the audience behind him and he's on a winning streak now. The luchas are very over with the audience as well, just give it time and stop giving out bad faith interpretations just because you don't have comprehension skill and can't intuit a story told through physical wrestling matches, not promos or over the top acting lmao

I agree and think the album will be pop/rock, but I do hope there will be a sprinkle of RnB. WWYITM (especially the live version) and Lost in Japan are absolute favorites of mine and I've lost count of how many times I've seen random people comment they're not particularly a fan of his music but they do really like and rate LIJ and think it's one of his best songs.
I would also like songs about other themes than love/relationships (IMB part 2?). Or at least change up the same old narrative he's used over and over again especially in his most recent songs. Even What The Hell Are We Dying For ended up beging a love/break up song framed as a song about climate crisis lol. Wouldn't mind him releasing that "Don't call me, I'm no longer yours" song he posted a snippet of on his IG though lol.
And I hope he improves lyrically. I think that was Wonder's biggest letdown. The lyrics were mostly just very superficial, cliche and repetitive. He doesn't have to be a male Taylor Swift but even compared to his previous albums Wonder on the same level. It was also too on the nose who Wonder's songs were written about (and if it wasn't, the promo he did made sure it was). A lot of his fans didn't like that relationship but even if you tried to just focus on his music there was just no escaping it. Think he's lost a lot of fans because of it (and that relationship in general but that's a whole other discussion). Hope he stays a bit more vague this time like during his previous album cycles.
Yes I think SM5 could be similar to SM3 sound-wise like with the r&b influence sprinkled in there. I could also see it go into a folk Noah Kahan or gospel direction (like the collaboration with Jacob Collier). A Stormzy collab would also be cool even though I hope there aren’t too many collabs. Also yes to the “don’t call me” song I want it! He also shared a snippet of a song where he was in the studio that was like “baby blow my mind” (?) but that’s been a while back so idk if it’ll make it. Oh and for fashion I hope Tiffany leaves the wonder aesthetic in the past I’d love a 60s Alain Delon inspired moment and a high fashion shoot
