Biography:
Robert Duncan and Kathryn Forsythe-Duncan seemed to have it all, a strong loving relationship and marriage and an idyllic life in Port Cado, wanting for nothing and the addition of their little red-headed bundle a few years after they marriage seemed the ideal cherry on top, so to speak.
But appearances can be deceiving. Yes Kathryn was from a wealthy family and an accomplished artist but she also suffered from anxiety and depression and had become the blacksheep of the family for marrying below her position. To anyone who saw, Robert was a successful businessman, working as a senior urban planner for the city and looking like a man who had reached his dreams but underneath he was a pawn for the Syndicate, looking to them for a loan to pay medical fees for Kathryn and doing work for them behind the scenes, from taking bribes to push certain city plans in directions they wanted to the biggest request - that of master document forger.
As a young girl though, Aurora Emily didn't see any of the bad things that were so prevalent in her life. She grew up carefree, well-spoken and intelligent. She had a natural curiousity and independent spirit. Her mother encourages the artistic talent she showed as a very young child but Rory mostly love spending time with her father watching him do is 'weekend' work. Kathryn turned a blind eye or rather a very well medicated one, throwing herself into her own art and friends and sometimes making sure to take care of Rory too.
She wasn't spoiled per se but as Aurora grew up she was keenly aware that others were appreciative of her looks and personality and could use that to her benefit. It wasn't anything too involved, special spot in line, or her coffee ready and waiting for her, or a dance card full at a party. Aurora was whipsmart and tenacious as she grew to a teenager, caring for others but not putting up with crap from others either. She was easily recognized by her long red-hair as much as with a Forsythe temper that was said she shared with her mother.
Her mother continued to decline, escaping in drugs and alcohol and Robert tried all he could to get her into programs, into treatment but she didn't want help. It hurt him deeply to see the love of his life spiraling so much and while those who knew were not surprised when she up and disappeared, and was presumed dead when her car was found submerged in the port water. Rory was devastated but no where how Robert was and he withdrew into himself. He was missing deadlines, not doing work up to his usual standards but the work for the Syndicate didn't suffer.
What no one knew was that it wasn't Robert but Aurora making the document requests work. She had natural talent and all the time spent with him most of her life she had learned the skills to be a master forger, even better than him, he told her. She knew enough to know that crossing them would not go well for him or anyone really. so she did the jobs and Robert took the credit. She got more confident, went to school, and hoped that he would bounce back and she could give it up and do what she wanted with her life. But in a moment of weakness at Dark Entry, he let it slip that he wasn't doing that work and hadn't. And it's owner, Oz heard that information. Robert begged hi not to tell anyone, to say anything, that he would owe Oz, whatever it took. He didn't tell Aurora what happened but merely told her that if anything happened to him that he should go to the Dark Entry and find the owner on his behalf. They had made an 'agreement'.
Aurora loved her father and would do anything to help him but she had to think of herself too. She went to college and got an Art History degree, specialising in antiquities, never want to get out of the art world; in some ways it tied her to her mother stlil but she was doing this for herself as much as anyone. She landed a great job as an archivist at the museum that was a perfect fit.
But her luck and faith in others was tested once again. In a Syndicate job gone wrong, Robert tried to do his work and again mistakes were made, and they were caught. Some thought he double crossed them with shoddy work and in one moment, he changed Aurora's life by confessing that this job was his but those in the past, for many years, had been Rory doing the work.
Aurora wasn't implicated but Obsidian Syndicate knew who she was, and more importantly knew what she could do for them. She was hurt by her father's betrayal but not surprised by it. But she didn't want him hurt or worse and decided to make a choice for herself for once. Aurora agreed to work for them, continuing what she'd started as a teenager, but Robert would not be harmed in any way. And she would help handle any contraband moving through the museum as well when needed. Once agreed, she called in the one favor her father had kept for her, hoping it wasn't the last in a string of bad choices. She'd met him briefly a few times when she was younger, but now her life was in the Syndicate, and more closely, Oz's hands.
Plot Ideas: 1) working on her relationship with her father or him getting out of prison; she's taken over his job and doesn't really want anything to do with him.  2)  a break in at the museum either for art itself or by those who know or suspect drugs and/or forgeries are being moved through there and it either getting foiled or causes drama?  Maybe something her and Frankie get caught in and have to work to overcome  3) what if someone else found out just what she does for the Syndicate and wants her special skills for themselves, a kidnapping plot, blackmail, a little of both?  Who would come after her, if anyone?  I like to torture my muses sometimes lol

A Morrell Problem
Jesse Morrell, an Open-Air Preacher, author and Youtuber recently came out with a 9-hour critique of James White, president of Alpha and Omega Ministries, author, scholar and the most memed theologian probably ever.
In order to prove my fanboy, much like that skit on the Amanda show where two fans compete on their knowledge of Amanda, I committed to watching the entire 9 hour critique after…

TOM from Wilkie Branson on Vimeo.
Over 80% of Tom was created using hand made models which were digitized using photogrammetry. It took 9 months to built over 100 models that were used to create the environments in the film. The photogrammetry process took a year to complete with a 130,000 photographs being used to reconstruct the models digitally.
All the performers in the film were shot on a homemade green screen stage in the garage, using a treadmill and revolve to match the perspective of camera moves from the film. There are over 400 different versions of wilkie in the film who is joined by his 3 year old nephew, Eben, to complete the cast.
The project was completed using Cinema 4D and Redshift with the entire film taking 4 months to render bringing the total duration of the project to 2 years. With the full-length film running at 45 minutes the the project took approximately 130 man-hours per minute to make.
Set in a hinterland between the civilised world and the wilderness, TOM tells the story of one man’s journey to rediscover who he really is. Will he find the answers he needs, or is the real TOM lost forever?
