Pokemon JN056 Review...

At last, Wikistrom made his main series debut. It may be a few years past the X and Y series, but this episode did not disappoint me. His way of training our boys to be knights was definitely an effective teacher for Ash, Goh, Syther, and definitely Farfetch'd.

I really appreciate the more focus Ash's Farfetch'd got in this, and it even grew a little closer to Ash in this episode. I'm happy that it's slowly growing out of it's single minded lone warrior style as it grows closer to it's trainer. And after this, I hope we'll eventually see a rematch between Ash and Rinto pretty soon.

I also gotta appreciate this episode for being one of the very few episode that the main human protagonists engage in hand to hand training and battling with someone instead of letting their Pokémon doing all of the battling.

Goh's Scyther evolving into Scizor was quite a good suprise ending. It did show that it does pretty good bond with Goh! Although I don't expect much from it and Goh in later episodes, it was still quite a pleasant surprise. After all, now has at least one of every type of Pokémon now!

I'm looking forward to more Farfetch'd development, and quite possibly another knight battle between Ash and Wikstrom someday.
