I'm Sorry, what? Timeloop/Time reset theory?

Fuck if I know. It's a lot more of thought than theory I guess. I do apologize for it being a bit messy.

But, we're all here for this little thing that happened today, on April 25, 2023 (wow IRIS right on my boyfriend's birthday, nice~)

WHO in their right mind (had they survived the slaughterhouse that was the IRIS facility) would just go 'You know what? I survived! I'll just tweet something out!' (Goddamnit Anti, what the FUCK did you do now?!)

Well, I might have a reason as to why, least for the Deja vu. There are several possibilities to explain it and all of them are valid until more information is found. But for this little theory, I'm going to like... go with the most talked about theory that's been around since the beginning of this rabbit hole. Everyone and their grandmother pointed this out.

Timeloops!

Or in this case, possibly more of a reset.

Perhaps all this time, it's been resets happening and that may be what's causing Time to be 'broken'.

Remember back in AF: CB... what was the LAST thing to happen in it? Anti having made his fun little rampage through the IRIS facility, a bunch of IRIS staff dying in one form or another. And him cornering Chase in a familiar... red lit hallway that Chase desperately didn't want to be in and tried so hard to tell others with him at the time to not come here and to flee elsewhere... Chase's terrified view as Anti looms over him with a dark chuckle.

Then it cuts to black.

Ever wondered what happened then? We had a few IRIS tweets after Anti tore through the facility, then radio silence for 4 months then boom that. At least from IRIS's side of things.

But after Halloween, things had been quiet. A few things here and there.. (I'm actually drawing a blank of what other videos had something happen in them, let me know) then Sean's recent little playthrough of the 'Classrooms' where Anti giggles and we hear the faint' "No one's gonna help me".

What does any of this have to do with Resets and timeloops?

Well, hear me out, what if the moment Anti had cornered Chase in the hallway, (Recall that Echo mentioned to Chase that Anti is after him because he's special, just never clarified what that 'special' is), that, for lack of a better term, Chase's power activated upon his distress and wish to not be there and caused a time to reset? Which undid everything that happened (probably to a degree) that week or so. But Anti still remains with him, giggling at his attempt to escape and hide from him and Chase sinking further into despair with the thought that... there is no one... not even IRIS is able to help him.

Which is the dark thought path Anti is pushing him towards. Arin did state that the small stone slab that they had found in a village in northern europe had affected many people there and a few that managed to survive it turned down a dark path... he just never clarifies what that dark path was.

Which makes sense, the symptoms of the slab match that of Anti, but his ability far outranks the slab. Hell the slab could have been containing him, but his power was still great enough to seep out and affect the surrounding area and anyone near by. and that Stone slab still has that lingering power from holding Anti within it for so long. Assuming that it did contain him. IRIS had been tracking Anti for a while but had and probably still don't have a means to contain something that can come and go as he pleases.

So perhaps Anti is pushing him down this path for a reason. What it is, we don't know. Just that Anti targeted Chase for his specialty.

And Chase did confirm to Arin that he does experience deja vu, but waves it off as the mind playing tricks. Which could mean that despite probably having used his ability often unintentionally, that Chase doesn't remember everything that happens. Just deja vu moments or feelings of being somewhere before but confused about it. There's only a few instances he remembers very clearly what happens in certain times and places and panics about it. He just... doesn't know why other than it has to do with the man in dark clothing haunting him. And going to these places that he remembers clearly... never ends well with him or whomever is with him.

So all these timeloops/resets that happen, are likely Chase escaping situations in which he has zero help, no escape and cornered by Anti and blindly terrified. There's was something else that piqued my interest. When Arin was trying to gain Chase's trust by telling him what IRIS does (haha funny), and then revealed that Chase is being tormented by an extremely powerful ALTR far more dangerous than any ALTR objects they had contained. Chase says, "He won't leave me alone. He shows me such... awful things that I did." Things? It's quite possible that Chase did suffer a divorce with Stacy due to his drinking. And in a fit of despair and pain, probably during an argument with Stacy, leaving him open to possession or whatever Anti did to him, likely caused Chase to 'snap' and kill Stacy and their child. Be it via illusions or some otherworldly tricks Anti did to cause such a thing to occur.

Each tragic death being different each time Chase resets things. If that ability goes that far. But it's more than likely that Anti merely pulls at Chase's alcoholic past and rough marriage troubles about it to rub into Chase's wounds. A reminder, for each waking hour, day after day... he lost his happy life due to poor choices. Assuming so, at least, we don't quite know what is going on here. Or what he did for Anti to push onto Chase.

Or perhaps, Anti merely lies to push him further onto that dark path, who knows?

my ideas on "Anomaly Found - Chase Brody" and the jse egoverse

ok so it's time for me to gather my thoughts regarding The Iris Project and everything that has just happened. unfortunately i couldn't participate in the livestream cause i was in class, but i have just watched "Anomaly Found - Chase Brody" and i feel like i have a decent idea of what has happened so far.

obviously, this contains spoilers for "Anomaly Found" as well as other videos already published by Seán!

before we start, we have to go back to two important videos: "Chase" (released october 13, 2019) and "You're Not Ready For These Scary Games" (released october 19, 2019, which i'll be reffering to as "You're Not Ready" from now on). "Chase" was so incredible when it came out, and the thumbnail for "You're Not Ready" is literally Henrik's face, so i couldn't be more hyped.

in "Chase", we begin with a note of eviction. the note states that anyone living in the house (namely, Chase) is ordered to "vacate the premises not later than September 2019". according to the notice, it's August 8, 2019. things are definitely not going ok, judging by the state of his car and the bottle of whisky inside the glove compartment. more importantly, his reaction to seeing the picture he just found shows us something terrible has happened. he drives to the woods and walks for a while (with many beautiful shots from the mountains and the forest itself). more importantly, he walks towards a very specific set of rocks, mounted on top of eachother like a memorial of some kind. he rests the photo over it and drinks from the bottle of whisky, before being abruptly teleported from the woods to what seems like a parking lot.

on the other hand, the part that makes "You're Not Ready" interesting is the ending of the video, where Seán's screen is abruptly cut by static followed by a black screen. Henrik immediately appears, worried and writing on a piece of paper in front of a computer screen. we can see he's been woking on mathematical equations, by the papers on his desk; all the ones we can see have the letter 'T' in some capacity. after many mistakes, something in the screen fires up and it glitches. Henrik seems desperate and, after typing something, is presented with a psychedelic tunnel of lights; something seems to have worked.

with this, we can analyze "Anomaly Found" with a little more info. we're told throughout the scenes that Chase's family has been murdered (both his wife and kid, according to Arin's character as well as the photo in "Chase") and he has been somehow involved. at first, he says he's killed them, but then retorts a "i didn't kill them". after the ending, it seems pretty clear that the one responsible for their death was Anti - but Chase took the blame, since no one would believe him if he told the truth. this event is obviously the catalist to all the bad things happening with him, from the eviction note to the heavy drinking.

during one of the scenes in the "Project Iris" livestream, we're presented with a poster saying that "ALTR 5914 IS A TIME THIEF!". since we're already aware that Anti's number is ALTR 114209 because that's how his name is written in numbers (A = 1, N = 14, T = 20, I = 9), 5914's translation is either EIAD or EIN. EIN as in Henrik von Schneeplestein. Henrik is a "time thief" - or, more likely, a time manipulator.

in "You're Not Ready", he seems to be working with time equations (remember the 'T'?), or something along the lines of manipulating time using both math and some weird machine. he seems to be a physicist more than a physician - and that's why i think Henrik is responsible for Chase's teleportation. meddling with time is, essencially, meddling with space, since they're both indissociable. if Henrik's machine did work at the end of "You're Not Ready", he has successfully changed time - or stolen it, in some capacity. the success of Henrik's machine is responsible for Chase's teleporting and, consequently, for his inprisonment in the IRIS facility during "Anomaly Found".

now, on to the best part of this whole ordeal: my baby Anti. he looks great, he looks terrifying, but more importantly: he looks exactly like Chase. if anyone saw him commiting any crime, they would obviously blame it on Chase, since it's "impossible" for such a creature to exist. Anti seems to be making a hell out of Chase's life long before the murder of his wife and kid - "showing him awful things", making him hear strange voices and whatnot. we were already aware of Anti's interest in Chase - my question is: why? why Chase? why is Chase so important to Anti?

i am also very intrigued in the whole "i feel like i've been here before" bit, as well as "i have been in this exact place before, we need to leave". this implies some sort of time cognizance from Chase's part, almost as if he's able to glimpse into the future. that could be either the reason for Anti's interest in him or an effect of his influence. either way, Chase has something special to him - and we don't know what yet.

finally, i wanna take this last paragraph to say how incredibly proud i am of seán for making this. the "Project Iris" livestream as a whole was incredible, an amazing feat that definitely will change the way we think youtube content and viewer interactions for the next years. the cinematography of "Anomaly Found" is also phenomenal, and don't even get me started on that ending scene - I NEED MORE ANTI, SEÁN!!!! WE NEED MORE ANTI CONTENT!!!!!

What if Henrik was an IRIS employee and actually is a bad guy that lures other egos into false hope to execute his further plan on caturing anamolies :]

Chase would feel safe enough to run to Henrik after escaping IRIS only to be secretly placed with a tracking device because Henrik can't bare to let go of his most valuable asset

For example also he'd befriend Marvin

Telling him about IRIS and what they do, trying to sell him the idea that he's just the good guy capturing anti

However, knowing Marvin practices magic or is magical he definitely makes sure Marvin is locked up by 'accident' for testing :3

Escapees Of I.R.I.S.

Chase wakes up with a small groan escaping his lips. He holds his head in the palm of his hands, trying to calm the pounding of his head . His eyes dart around the room that was not his own, nor the familiar room of I.R.I.S. Comics line the wall with decorative action figures sprinkled between them. A map placed on a cork board with little red tacks and pictures of random people and places with red strings connecting them all.

Baggy clothes that aren’t his own drape his frame, black sweatpants, and a soft dark blue hoodie. They were much more comfortable than the disgusting, smelly clothes he remembered being in just a few moments ago. The distinct smell of  fresh crisp snickerdoodle cookies wafted off of them making Chase’s lips curl upwards.  

But the happiness fades away as he remembers that he’s somewhere new. He forces his shaky legs up, while his mind fights itself to figure out what emotion he should be feeling. Anger, gratefulness, and fear all fight in his head. His hands hesitate for a brief second as the pad of his fingertips touches the doorknob, fear taking over his body. What if something awful is out there? What if the ALTR is out there? Should he even take that chance? 

But then he hears laughter. Music. Something warm and kind waited on the other side of the door. He takes in a deep breath, calming the paranoid voice in his head before pushing the door outwards.

Two figures sit on a couch, one with green hair slicked back into a bun, the other with shaggy brown hair like his own. They speak in hushed tones, to the point where Chase could only make out a few words. His heart longs to leave them alone, to just go back into the room and keep his distance.  But his head knows that these people have the answers, that he can’t hide in that room forever, he’d have to talk to them eventually.

He cleares his throat, getting the two men's attention. They both whip around, identical faces looking back at them. Chase takes a step back in shock as he analyzes the people in front of him. These men look exactly like him. Bright blue eyes filled with light and hope that he used to have years ago. A dark brown beard that covers both their faces. One has a slightly crooked nose, most likely from an injury, but that was the only main difference that Chase could see. 

They looked like him. They looked like the demon.

“Hey, you’re up.” The brown haired one says as he rises from the couch. Chase locks eyes with the strangers making sure they stay blue. “How ya feeling?”

Chase backs up until his back hits the wall. His hands scramble trying to find a doorknob, a lock, something, anything to get away from the new threat. His chest rose and fell at an alarming rate, and he could feel his heart beating in his throat. The situation all too familiar to him. He waits in anticipation for the pain and possession that would shortly come. He squeezes his eyes tight as the demon approaches. 

“Hey, hey, it’s okay. We’re not gonna hurt you. You’re safe. I know that you’ve heard that a lot over the past few days, but it’s true. We’re not with him, and we’re not with Iris, it’s okay. I’m Jackie and that’s Marvin. It’s okay, it won’t hurt you. It’s not here.” Jackie soothes. His hand slowly reaches out to Chase, trying to seem as not threatening as possible. “It isn’t here. It can’t hurt you. I’m not gonna hurt you.” “How-How do you know about him? How do you know he isn’t here?!” Chase shouts. His arms wraping around his trembling body. Everything was too much, he just wants to go back home. To his family, to his wife, to his life. How could everything have gone so wrong?! 

“Hey, Chase. It’s okay. It’s okay. We-We have this place warded to hell and back. It can’t get to you. I know you’re scared so can you do me a small favor? Just follow my breathing, here.”  Chase feels his hand pressed onto the stranger's chest slowly rising up and down. The warmth coming from the man’s chest convinced him to open his eyes once again. He takes in a deep breath steadying his shaking body. His anxious thoughts steadily dissipate as he followed Jackie’s breathing. In and out. In and out. “Hey, good job. Do you want to sit down? I know this is a lot to process and you're probably really freaked out. We have some leftover mac and cheese if you want some. You must be starving! I know that Iris doesn't exactly have the best food.” Chase’s feet guide him towards the couch, each step made with caution and precision, sitting next to Marvin. He glances at the man who seemed to be completely engrossed in his book. Chase’s eyes land back on Jackie, who balances  over a plate full of food in one hand and a mug in the other. He places both on the coffee table and sits down on the floor, making himself comfortable. “Thanks.” Chase mumbles as he reaches for the plate. He can’t remember the last time he had eaten. He knew that I.R.I.S. had given him food, but the memories of his time there were a blur. He pushes the thoughts aside as he continues to eat. 

“I know that this is a lot, and you’re probably feeling pretty scared and freaked out, but I promise, you’re safe. And I know you’ve heard that a lot but, this time, it’s true.”

“How-How do you know that? That they said that to me?” Chase watches as Jackie bites his lip and fiddles with his fingers. The man was clearly hiding something, whether that was out of malice or lack of trust, Chase doesn’t know.

“Marvin and I are very used to Iris’ tactics.”

“That’s putting it lightly.” Marvin pipes up, not taking his eyes off of his book.

“We also hacked into their cameras and watched the footage.” Jackie whisperes. “I’m sorry that you had to go through all that.”

Chase shrugges, not wanting pity from these strangers. It was shitty, but these people couldn’t grasp what he went through. That thing killing everything that moved, but sparing him. Not being in control of his body for hours at a time as Anti constantly reminded him of everything that he did. And that damn doctor asks those provocative questions, again and again. 

“Not your fault.” Chase decides to say after a few moments of silence. 

“Yeah, well you're safe now. That’s what matters.” “So am I in a safe house or something?” Chase asks between bites of macaroni. “Uh not exactly. You’re in our apartment. We just needed a place where that thing couldn’t find you. Like I said, we have this place warded to hell and back.” “Warded? I don’t understand.” Marvin extendes his hand  letting a small ball of fire sit in his palm. It’s so small but Chase feels the power radiating off of Marvin as he fiddles with the small flame. It feels familiar, like the ALTR’s presence but much…softer. The ALTR’s power felt sharp and powerful. Like a thousand knives cutting and slicing into him. Marvin’s power feels like a fireplace on a cold day, warm and inviting but still dangerous if you get too close. “Jackie and I have powers. He has strength, speed, enhanced healing and bioelectricity, I got some elemental magic and other stuff.” Marvin explaines as the ball of fire weaves between his fingers.

Chase sits in silence trying to absorb all the information being thrown his way. He presses the heels of his palms into his head, as he attempts to wrap his head around everything. Magic was real. That thing is real. He was in danger. He was safe. These people are magic and somehow know everything about him. “Chase? You okay man?” Jackie askes, placing a hand on Chase’s shoulder. “I know that we’re throwing a lot of stuff at you. Do you wanna…take a break or something? Lay down?” 

“No, no. I’m fine.” Chase mumbles waving, Jackie off. “Just…It’s a lot.”

A heavy blanket appeares on his shoulders and a warm cup in his hand. He feels Marvin’s warm hands rub circles on his back. Chase swallows as a sob as they continue to sooth him. These two strangers, they showed him more compassion in the ten minutes he was here than anyone had shown him in the last 3 years. Clothed, fed, and now comforting him. He doesn’t deserve this kindness. He doesn’t deserve any of this. 

“Chase, listen to me.” Marvin’s voice cuts through all of Chase’s thoughts. “You are gonna stay here with us, until we figure out this whole situation. Jackie and I are gonna keep you safe and you’re gonna tell us everything you can about that thing. Sounds good?” 

 Chase nods, not making eye contact with either of them. He takes a small sip from the cup, pleasantly surprised when the familiar taste of black tea hits his lips. He lets out a small sigh and placed the mug on the coffee table. 

“Okay, what do you want to know?”

“Everything.” Jackie says. “Tell us everything.”

Dark Silence and Anomaly Found are opposites of each other

ok hear me out, so I had this thought just now, and I find it really interesting that Seán actually decided to approach Anomaly Found this way and parallel dark silence (in the wrong way ig).

first, the red light (of course), that was really the thing that started the whole idea for me. cuz in AF we see that Anti's face is red like a red light was being *directed* at his face, while in DS the red light is directed in the same way that he's walking (as in from behind him).

This could basically imply that he and Chase have switched places in the red hallway (physically i mean, definitely not metaphorically) with Chase being at the end of it and Anti walking towards it.

(also in DS Anti was walking *away* from the red light and in AF he was walking *towards* it ig)

Also in DS Chase is walking towards Anti (if reluctantly) and yelling at him "WHERE ARE THEY? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?", but in AF he is scooting away from Anti and backing away (which is most definitely a sign of Chase's fear of Anti but y'know... opposites)

that's really all I found out in the few minutes I thought about this. Feel free if you want to add to it if you figure something else out.
