Hi! I saw your post answering an ask from before talking about Thelema and their differences from “the cult” in Kuroshitsuji. It made me curious, do you know if the cult shown in Kuro has a basis on anything (any existing cults, movements, religions, occurrences, etc.) from the Victorian Era? Or just history in general?
Besides what's already mentioned?
Idk 🤷🏻♀️ maybe just about any mystery religion or occult religion of the Victorian era? Or earlier. Or a bit later....
Not so much the actual historical cults or secret societies... but what society-at-large assumed about such things. People often called them Hellfire clubs and thought the members were into demon worship. It's a lot like Satanic Panic. Those organizations rarely get up to the sorts of activities they're accused of. Just look at Stranger Things: the D&D club calls itself the Hellfire Club... and the community doesn't understand what they are into, so they claim the kids are performing demonic rituals, killing people, etc. That's pretty intentional, on the part of the writers, to call them that and have them deal with religious conservative adversaries. Totally a classic Satanic Panic situation of the 1980's.
Same sort of thing happened in earlier generations and centuries. People who weren't privy to what actually happened in such organizations didn't understand and would assume "the worst". Even clubs like the Monks of Medmenham were called "Hellfire" clubs as a somewhat derogatory term. By the Victorian era, many didn't know what old, dissolved clubs like that once did, so they let their imaginations take over.
Yana-san basically created a club that does the exact sorts of things the real clubs of the time, as well as earlier clubs, didn't actually do... but were often accused of doing.
mikeyway: We had an absolute blast with @letshibachi celebrating @kristincolby! There were lots of laughs and delicious food! Still not over my big catch 🤣 🔥🔥🔥

my friend missy asked me to fill out an art summary for the year! because a. lot has changed about my art over the course of 2022 (pretty much entirely in the second half...)
the june & september pieces were chosen bc, fun fact, they were the Only things i posted during those months according to my archive! as for notable milestones...
i got my tablet at the tail end of july, so anything from august on was drawn with that instead of with a mouse!
and i switched back to lineless art after two years of decrying it back in october :'D now i. don't think i'll ever look at lineart ever again at this point...
i still have some pieces i want to get out before the month ends, so stay tuned for those! and everyone who's been following me this year, whether you were around to watch any of this change in real-time or if you came by pretty recently, thanks for being here <3
A romantic getaway! A Halloween party complete with custom made costumes! A storybook wedding! It all sounds enchanting, doesn’t it? So why did I dislike the new cozy mystery, Murder in the Book Lover’s Loft, so much?

To be honest, I think the Undertaker is Claudia Phantomhive's dad instead of Cedric K. Ros- because he looks like him with his hair up and from behind. Proof is when Undertaker disguises himself as the headmaster at the Weston College. Another proof is when they were showing the back of the heads of Phantomhives, the man above Claudia, being her father, has the same style as the Undertaker. That's my thoughts. What are yours?
No, he doesn't look like her father.
"Proof" against it is the same set of images you mention.
Ch78 shows Undertaker from the side and from behind, with his hair up... while ch116 shows Claudia/Cloudia's father from behind:
Her father kept his hair short, and you cannot see any baby hairs on the nape of his neck. Also, he's got sideburns. I do not think he's Undertaker with short hair and facial hair. Wearing similar clothes means nothing, as men's fashion hadn't changed much during the time. You have to go back yet another generation to see much difference in men's fashions.
Besides, Yana-san tweeted, years ago, that Edward and Francis/Francis look like Cedric... and they most-definitely look like Undertaker.
Please go back and read the posts comparing Undertaker to Francis/Frances and Edward, as well as numerous other posts about hereditary inheritance within the Phantomhive family, including the Midford children. Because that's something Yana-san has hinted at in favor of Undertaker being Cedric. She says that the sons tend to take after the mothers, while the daughters tend to take after the fathers. Edward looks like his mom, who in turn looks like Cedric. Vincent looks like his mother, who in turn should take after her own father... and she shouldn't look like Undertaker, since neither does Vincent.
To be honest, I never want to see this "Undertaker is Claudia's father" idea ever again. I've posted against it so many times....
