Kai steps before a counter at a sandwich place. The cashier stares up at the bull that's looming over them nervously.
"Can...Can I help you, sir?"
Kai doesn't say anything. Then he slowly lifts up his hands, revealing he's holding the Chameleon. She steps out of his hands and onto the counter, and then points at the cashier. "He said he wanted no pickles on his sandwich!"
Then she steals some money out of the tip jar. Kai picks her back up with one hand, then takes the new sandwich and the tip jar itself before walking off.

Imagine the Chameleon turns into Kai for the first time- but he completely criticizes it, pointing out all of the flaws in the details to a biting degree. The Chameleon gets irritated, the perfectionism complex triggered in her, and she snaps at him to hold still. Suddenly she comes close, examining every detail. She circles him, observing the shading in his fur, the particular way his mane curls at the ends or falls over his shoulders, the bands of color and scratches in his horns. She pulls him down to her level. Her claws reach out, eventually, to trace the curves of his legs, the ropes of muscle of his arms, his torso, how these all come together to shape his form. She studies all of the small scars, moving his mane out of the way occasionally to see the length of his spine, how that leads to his tail, and then she comes to a stop at his hips, still concealed by what little clothes he wears.
"Take this off."
"Why?" He asks, clearly amused. "Why do you need to see what that looks like?"
"Just do it, or else."
He laughs, unintimidated, but obliges, and she continues her study.

Matt pulls into the parking spot in the fairly deserted parking lot and he puts the car in park.
Chris deals with setting up the camera while Matt passes out the food they got.
"Okay. You ready?" Nick asks his baby sister.
"Uh-huh." She vigorously nods, stuffing a whole chicken nugget in her mouth.
"Hey, be careful before you choke." Matt warns, earning a nod from the girl.
"'Kay. We're recording." Chris says, putting the camera up on the dashboard. Matt gets out to check if it's in focus, getting back in once he looks.
"All right. Hey, guys. Today, we have a very special guest for the car video. We have, our little sister, Y/N." Nick introduces, motioning to the girl.
"Hi." The five year old waves and grins at the camera, earning soft laughs from her three brothers.
"We've done this type of video before with our parents and with Justin where we ask them questions and that's what we're gonna be doing with Y/N/N." Nick explains.
"Be honest, munchkin." Chris warns making her nod.
"Okay. We can start off easy. What's your favorite color?" Matt asks, scrolling through his phone.
"Dark purple." Y/N answers. "But sometimes green. Orange is fun, too."
"Okay, so three favorite colors, got it." Nick says.
"What's your favorite movie?" Chris asks.
"Tangled." The girl immediately lights up at the thought of the animated movie. "Mommy won't let me get a chameleon or a horse." She pouts.
"Maybe when you're older." Nick lightly pats her on the head. "Who's your best friend?"
"Natalie." Y/N grins. "We play Barbies and dress up and she has a doggy, too. He's really big."
"Bigger than you?" Chris asks and the girl nods.
"Oh, yeah? What's his name?" Matt asks.
"Cheerio." Y/N answers. "She said her sister named him when she was a little kid and they got him as a puppy."
"Okay, here's a good one." Chris smiles. "Who's your favorite brother?"
"Matty." Y/N answers with almost no hesitation.
"What?!" Chris exclaims.
"Wha--" Nick frowns at her.
"All right!" Matt grins, reaching back and giving her a high five.
"That's so mean." Nick scoffs.
"What do you mean it's Matt?" Chris asks.
"You asked." The five year old shrugs, not seeing the issue.
"Why does he get to be the favorite?" Nick asks.
"Cause he always says yes when I ask him to play and he lets me sleep in his bed when I get bad dreams. And he takes me to get ice cream." Y/N explains.
"We let you sleep in our beds." Nick says. "We bring home ice cream. We play with you."
"You two say no a lot more than him. Plus, he's the best at play pretend." Y/N pouts. "And I like car rides. You don't take me on car rides."
"All right." Chris rolls his eyes. "We get it. Matt's the favorite."
"Yeah, moving on." Nick says.
They continue to ask her questions, Y/N going into random rambles at times.
"Fuck!" Chris hisses when his knee hits the dashboard.
"Chris!" His brothers scold as Y/N giggles.
"What?" He asks.
"5 year old present, you idiot." Matt smacks him in the arm.
"You want some more fries?" Nick asks, holding the carton out to his sister, distracting her from the two arguing up front. Y/N nods, grabbing a few of the fries and starting to eat them.
Y/N gasps as the fries fall out of her hold and onto the floor.
"Fuck!" She cries out.
"Chris!" Matt scolds.
"Shit." Nick whispers, rubbing his face.
"Whoops." Chris mumbles, struggling not to laugh.
"Mom's gonna kill you." Nick says. He glances down as Y/N leans over to the cupholder to take a sip of her drink. He puts the fries in the other cupholder, giving her easy access to them.
"Y/N, you can't say that word." Matt tells her.
"Why?" She frowns. "Chrissy said it."
"It's an adult word. You're not an adult." Nick tells her.
"That's stupid." She grumbles, slouching in her seat and crossing her arms over a chest, pouting. The triplets quietly laugh, trying to hold it in so they don't upset her.
"Trust me, kid, you don't wanna grow up too fast." Chris tells her.
"Whatever." She huffs.

Miguel O'hara x Teen Reader

Miguel turns to Hobie, questioning the character next to him.
"Who are they?"
Hobie nudges the character, they whip around and look up at the man.
"Hmm?"
Hobie points to Miguel and she nods, turning to the man with a slight bow.
"Names Katlyn but you call me Kat, Hobie here thought id be useful to you guys since I already can dimension hop"
Miguel stands there, baffuled that Hobie now just introduces this character.
"Hobie, whyd you just bring her here"
"She's 15 im not letting her out on her own and plus shes deaf"
Miguel is just confused.
"So whos watching her?"
"Gwen, my drummer"
Miguel tries to compact this down, he walks over to the two.
"So you bring a fifteen year old arachid human who figured out dimension travel because you have someone else to watch her"
"That I trust"
Hobie adds with a smile, Kat turns to Miguel and reachs her hand toward his arm. Hobie nudges her and she dives back.
"She's also strong, very strong"
Miguel sighs and turns toward the character a few feet away.
"Can she read lips?"
"Yes i can, how much cant you lift?"
Hobie signals for her to cut it out and she nods, defeted she retreats behind the two.
"She's...going threw something"
Miguel judt nods and walks off, Hobie following with Kat behind him. The three tour around, reaching the canon, training room, etc.
"Miguel?"
He turns to Kat and nods his head.
"Nevermind"
He turns and away, Hobie sighing at the shy outstreach to Miguel. Pulling away the two break off from Kat who is observing Spider People.
"Listen Kat's shy and quite itimidated by you but by that outstreach of hope you need to soften up a bit, she already sees you as a competitor and someone to look up to, kay bruv?"
Miguel nods and the two merge with Kat who somehos is now holding a bagel.
"How'd you get that?"
Kat turns to the Hobie, paint covering her mask, the suit mimicing the pattern of paint like a chameleon.
"Some guys swong by and got paint all over me then another older spider gave me this bagel and swong after the group"
She explained, Hobie and Miguel just confused at the girl.
"Proud of you"
"Huh?"
Kat jumps up, landing and hugging the brit.
"She usally beats the hell out of people"
He says pattinf the girls back, she pulls away and fizzles like a shooken up soda.

"So how'd you find dimension travel?"
Miguel asks as the two sit down. Kat pulling out a slim white necklace around her neck, Miguel holding back shock.
"Well after i finishe collage I created a partical exelerator in my garage-"
"Tou created a partical exelerator in your garage, with what?"
Kat leaned it, shock coursing threw her body.
"Copper, anyways I was able to reiderate the massive machine over and over again, figuring out quantum machanics and eventually i started to harvist the energy i was making, then it starts to spit bits of goo out which i collected"
She paused, another bagel dropping from the sky, she peeled off her mask, long blonde hair and soft pale skin exploding from the mask as she munched on the wheat.
"Well i was bit by a spider which dunked itself into the partical liquid, i compacted the machine with my new found powers, one day i got too close and was zapped into earth dimension 441. I was able to make a exelerator as small as a tennis ball then i zapped myself back home after forty three years but when i returned I was fourteen"
Miguel just sat and listened at the girls story, she spent fourty three years in another dimension then found herself home. She's smart, quick too.
"After i got home i started to send things threw the liquid, from one vat to another, like a portal! I started to throw bits of the liquid back into the exelerator which wasnt smart i uhh...killed myself doing it"
Miguel looked at her confused.
"How are you here then?"
"Thats the thing, i was stuck inbetween quantum plates, when the exelerator and liquid combined it exploded killing fourty three million people, wiping secter D and part of E off of the grid."
She paused, finishing the bagel and wiping a tear from her eye.
"So after i had died for my sixtenth time i found out the way back home, a splotch of this liquid was floating in beta 17 and I spent four lifetimes getting it and leaving, when i got home i was fourteen and a half, passing my half birthday that day but i was greeted with corpeses and scorched earth"
Miguel nods in sympathy, the lose of her family and friends mustve taken an emense toll on her.
"I uhh guess that was my canon event as you said, after that I built my particle exelerator this being whats left of me and my family"
She gestured to the small necklace looped in her hands.
"After fifty or so years i ended up in Hobie's dimension, apparently i waswanted and my home dimension found a way to jump dimensions but not effetionaly. Me and Hobie entered my home dimension and he was nearly killed. After collasping the government we escape, Hobie pointed out to me that time there was slower than anywhere else, fourteen days passed when i left and came back."
Miguel speaks up.
"So this dimension could have a agmented time dialation compared to the other dimensions?"
"Yes, the slowest ive found was 779, every day there was fourteen years in Hobies world"
Kat jumped up and caught another bagel.
"The fastest was 87768 which every decade was about ten minuets in Hobie's dimension"
"So do you live with Hobie?"
Kat nodded and tore another bit from the bagel.
"Wouldnt that be a little akward?"
"As in?"
Miguel sighed.
"Nevermind, whats the time dialation here?"
"Oh only a few fractions of a second about 0.00000093 second off from Hobie's place"

Maybe its just me, but apart of, yk, Kai beign the first known person to master stealing chi techniques 500 years ago from KFP4, I dont think Chameleon would respect him too much
Or maybe they are besties, evil besties. Idk
I didn't quiet thought thru this but if I may speak I think Chameleon is a liker of all the masters she has summonned. Not saying fans, but I think she has admired them all. Resoects their status, but not too much to make herself look smaller than them, like how she literally just tossed them to the cages fjwndjsndkwk X)

anyways Kai and Nya!!! Aka Scorch and Lionfish, they are seawing skywing hybrids and are infact twins RAHH (Scorch is still older because he escaped the egg first) And Scorch WOULD of been a firescales if he was a pure skywing but since he isn't a pure skywing he isn't a firescales, his fire is slightly hotter then regular skywing fire and his scales radiate heat though and Lionfish can't breathe fire at all because scorch stole it all (the bastard) but Scorch can't breathe underwater and sucks at swimming so fair trade I guess
Also lionfish finds a bit of darkstalker's talisman and uses it to create the samurai x persona which I am too lazy to draw just know it's a red skywing by enchanting a fucking earring like chameleon did

Kai x Chameleon Headcanons🐂🦎
Yeah Ik what happened in the 4th film but I'm a sucker for size difference ships so...
As a kung fu nerd, of course Chameleon knows a lot about Kai before summoning him. However, the reason she didn't say much about him when she summoned him is simply because she's not a fan of him (she's more of a Tai Lung fangirl).
The most obvious trait about the two together is their massive size difference. Whenever they walk by together, it's bound for passerby to stare & wonder how & why. They never hear the end of several intrusive questions about how they did the woo-hoo (both of them just simply say:"I am/she's a shapeshifter!)
Whenever the two go back & forth with each other, others will assume they're married for thirty or more years. The two aren't afraid of making it known they're a couple (Kai is more prideful of this aspect than Chameleon). By default, Chameleon will have a seat of Kai's shoulder like a pirate's parrot so that he doesn't accidentally step on her. A nickname Kai has given Chameleon is:"Dolly" due to her size.
Kai likes to poke fun at Chameleon's size. In fact, he does more of the teasing in the relationship. Sometimes he'll walk faster than Chameleon just for the fun of it. If Chameleon needs an item, sometimes Kai picks up said item & then dangles it over her head. As much as he likes getting snarky with Chameleon, he usually doesn't try to drag it on for too long & only does so when the room is appropriate.
Despite being a lot smaller than Kai, Chameleon is capable of getting back at Kai. She keeps all five of her senses open for opportunities for revenge against Kai (Ex: Kai getting into spaces way too small for him, being declined for transportation, accidentally bumping into something, ect).
Due to their size difference, Kai either has to crutch down or pick up Chameleon just to hear her (he mostly does the latter). Kai has to be vigilant on his surroundings so that he won't accidentally squish his girlfriend. The first time the two slept next to each other, it almost ended up with Chameleon going to the Spirit Realm due to Kai rolling on top of her while he's asleep. He miraculously avoid manslaughter by waking up quickly to one of Chameleon's spikes on her tail stabbing him on his back(left a nasty wound for a while, whoops...).
Kai loves recieving physical affection more than Chameleon does. Scratches behind the ears, pats on his head, body rubs, you name it! Chameleon often climbs onto Kai like a tree to give him the affection he needs. He appreciates Chameleon being good with her claws. Chameleon likes the sight of Kai's ears perking up whenever he gets flustered or embarrassed. He loves receiving scattered kisses across his face from Chameleon. Sometimes Kai likes getting his hair brushed by her.
For a while, it was a challenge for Chameleon to receive physical affection from Kai for reasons obvious by now. The first time Kai hugged Chameleon, Chameleon almost suffocated. As a more safer alternative to hugs, Kai cups Chameleon's body in the most delicate way possible. Due to Kai's lips being larger than Chameleon's face, he'll either gently stroke her head or nudge his own head against her body.
Kai usually does the cooking since he's a better cook than Chameleon. At their home, Chameleon has her own dining table set just like the one she has in the 4th film. Much to everyone's surprise, Kai is an above average cook & does more of the cooking back when he & Oogway were in their warlord eras. Although Chameleon's taste are much refined, she appreciates Kai for knowing how to serve her meals fit for her portions.
Their favorite date spots are restaurants, hot springs (especially during winter) & old ruins. One of the things Kai does on their dates is telling Chameleon about his past victories & accomplishments. As a kung fu nerd, Chameleon is more than eager to soak in every word. Kai appreciates Chameleon's fangirl nature since it strokes his ego like a cat. In return, Kai finds it cute whenever Chameleon rambles on about her favorite kung fu masters & historical kung fu events, even if he doesn't understand it.
Although Kai is more of an open book than Chameleon, it took him a while to open up to her about his past. Chameleon can understand & relate to Kai on what it means to struggle making a name for yourself & barely leaving a mark on the world. Despite Chameleon occasionally teasing him back, he feels the most safe around her.
Chameleon's deep rooted insecurities took her more hurdles to open up to Kai. Kai can understand & relate to Chameleon on what it means to never be the greatest. Due to this, Kai offered Chameleon a hoof in helping her improve her combat skills (albeit, Chameleon has to overcome her stubborn anture to accept this).
No worries, I didn't forget about Zhen! As Chameleon's adopted daughter, how does she feel about Kaimeleon? If Chameleon was to be more than a decent mother & Kai somehow enters the picture when she was a child, Zhen would be thrilled to have a stepfather! Kai would be more lax than Chameleon, possibly more than eager to train her legitimate kung fu & loving to play with her as much as he could. Plus, he'll eventually be a little more open about exposing his past to Zhen since there won't be use in keeping that a complete secret from her. Overall, as a child, Zhen would call Kai:"daddy". As an adult in events more aligned to canon? Zhen would be mostly indifferent. She'll mainly address Kai as"Stepdad" & that'll be it.

Ok, now that I saw your latest post about Kai and The Chameleon, now im more confident about this question...
How would they work? I mean, yeah, I love your hcs of Kai as someone dominant and pridefull and all bc it feels in character but...

Who said the Chameleon was surrendering to Kai?- I mean all Kai has is that loincloth, man ain't wearing the pants in this relationship. Lol.
Serious answer: she's the "dominant" one. Kai was captured by her and absolutely under her power, and not just in a literal sense of having been drained and caged; yes, she's smaller than him, but by no means a pushover weakling. I think Kai sees alot of himself in her- both having that sadistic, prideful, and power-hungry personality which lends itself to a mutual attraction; but they aren't, obviously, on equal footing, considering the Chameleon's nature and the nature of their relationship.
Kai, as awful as he is, has nothing on her. She's a different sort of monster entirely (andweadoreherforitabsolutequeen). What I mean is: Kai wants to rule side by side; she wants to rule alone. I think, however, there are these times they make a pretense of equal ground, enjoying snapping back at each other, pushing each other's nerves, a little back and forth (perhaps grinding between, when the tension is high)- but she's always quick to shatter that fascade, the one illusion she won't tolerate; after all, neither of them are deceived, not really.
#Long story short this is toxic as HECK#But unlike Kai x Jindiao there's a power imbalance and Kai for once knows what it's like to be the weak one#I'm sorry if this isn't very...detailed and coherent I have the eepy sleepies and the cramps so#I've made a mess of this ask please forgive me#I think they sort of have actual feelings for each other but it's messed up?
