¡Que el ritmo no pare!

El fin de semana pasado recibí una nueva visita en Frankfurt. Mi amiga Lidia vino a verme y pasamos un par de días fantásticos. El sábado dimos una buena vuelta por la ciudad, recorriendo principalmente el centro. Subimos a la torre de la Kaiserdom (desde ahí se observan, en mi opinión, las mejores vistas de la ciudad), pasamos al mercado Kleinmarkthalle, dimos un paseo hasta la ópera y vimos el típico simbolito del euro. También cruzamos el río, caminamos por Sachsenhausen y comimos algo antes de partir a Kronberg, a donde fuimos por la tarde. Por la noche cenamos en Gießen.

Pero la joya de la corona fue Idstein, un pueblito de cuento al que tenía muchas ganas de ir y donde pasamos la mañana del domingo. Se encuentra en el Taunus y se notaba allí un poquito más de frío. Aún así, lo disfrutamos un montón 🤗

Terminamos el tour en Limburg, que es otro pueblecito con encanto donde sí que nos llovió. A pesar de eso, paseamos un poquito antes de volver a Frankfurt.

Gracias por la desconexión, las charlitas, los planes, el ponerse al día, la ilusión de los viajes presentes y futuros... ¿Quién vendrá la próxima vez?

Königslutter am Elm liegt im Osten Niedersachsens im Landkreis Helmstedt und befindet sich mitten im Naturpark Elm-Lappwald sowie an der Nord-Ost-Seite des bewaldeten Höhenzugs Elm. Die nächstgelegenen Großstädte sind Braunschweig, ungefähr 23 km westlich, und Wolfsburg, etwa 20 km nördlich. Die Kreisstadt Helmstedt liegt ca. 15 km östlich von Königslutter. Die Deutsche Fachwerkstraße führt durch Königslutter. Der höchste natürliche Punkt der Gemeinde und zugleich des Landkreises Helmstedt ist der Nordhang des Drachenberges mit einer Höhe von 312 m ü. NHN, dessen Gipfel sich bereits im Landkreis Wolfenbüttel befindet. Ursprünglich war die Stadt Königslutter am Elm ein Dorf namens Lutter. Es wurde erstmals 1135 urkundlich als Lûtere erwähnt, ist jedoch vermutlich wesentlich älter. Der Name stammt vom Bach Lutter, der in der Nähe des Ortes aus einer starken Quelle entspringt. Gegen Ende des 14. Jahrhunderts setzte sich der Name Königslutter als Konnigesluttere durch, wobei das König an den König und späteren Kaiser Lothar von Süpplingenburg erinnert. Um 1200 wurde im Bereich des heutigen Amtsgerichtes die Burg Lutter erbaut. Im Jahr 1318 wurde das Dorf Lutter zum Marktflecken unter der Bezeichnung forum Luttere und erhielt um 1400 von den Braunschweiger Herzögen die Stadtrechte verliehen. Zwischen dem Stift mit dem Kaiserdom und dem Dorf befand sich die Ansiedlung Oberlutter. Vermutlich im späten 13. oder frühen 14. Jahrhundert entstand eine Stadtmauer. Read the full article

Primera visita... ¡Vero!

Poco se habla por aquí de los trámites que a día de hoy seguimos haciendo para tener todos los papeles en regla y poder cobrar a fin de mes, pero bueno, dedicaré una entrada específicamente a hablar de estos temas más burocráticos.

Hoy me apetece contar que el finde pasado tuve mi primera visita en Frankfurt y ha sido mi amiga Vero, con la que disfruté de unos días estupendos. El sábado estuvimos paseando por el Jardín Botánico (gratuito). Os muestro aquí también algunas fotos del Palmengarten, al que fui otro día distinto, pero que también me encantó.

Juntas comimos en un restaurante eritreo; fue auténtico, ¡muy chulo! Pedimos comida típica y la comimos con la mano. Me pareció un sitio muy recomendable. Para bajar la comida subimos a la torre de la Kaiserdom St. Bartholomäus, nos tomamos un batidito, dimos otro paseo por el centro y nos sentamos a orillas del Meno, para ir después a un festival en Sachsenhausen donde lo dimos todo bailando música latina :D

El domingo nos dimos un homenaje con el desayuno que nos pegamos y fuimos a la Goetheturm, desde donde hay unas vistas muy bonitas del skyline de Frankfurt.

Y Vero ya se fue, aunque nos veremos más veces este año, porque vivimos más o menos cerquita... Por lo demás, voy cogiendo algo de rutina pero no mucha jejeje He empezado a ir al gimnasio, este finde he ido al cine (había KinoFest), el viernes estuve apurando los días de calor en una piscina, ayer vi por primera vez un partido de fútbol americano (me hice foto con la mascota y todo jajajajaja) y me he reencontrado con Jose, de Alcalá, con quien trabajé en el Colegio Alemán de Madrid hace algunos años ya. La verdad es que es una maravilla poder contar con gente cercana estando lejos de casa.

En unos días os cuento cómo van las primeras semanas de curso. ¡¡Qué intenso todo!!
