Well, I'm honestly not much of a romantic shipper myself. I don't mind them but I don't ship on auto-pilot, I like to see relationships like that evolve even if I like the idea and I HATE it when I feel like someone trying so hard to overstep it and force a ship or that's all I can ever expect from is romantic ships. I'll be honest, I have a lot of varied muses that aren't just sexy, single, and ready to mingle. I hate the idea of them being left in the dust, I'm sure others feel the same for their own non-romantic or sexual available muses, you work so hard and get overlooked.

Honestly, I seen that a lot because I quietly notice others interaction patterns with myself and others. No one is saying force yourself to interact with muses you don't want to so their muns don't cry, but just that your writing needs to be consistent on all sides. The same effort someone put in their romance shippy thread, should give the same writing effort in writing with that ace, married, or child muse too.

I feel if the only way my muse is important to someone if they can be shipped romantically or sexually, then you don't really fuck with them like that. Cause that muse is more than that and to me that's not respectful to the mun in general. If a character is ace or simply not attracted to your muse, don't try to force it. If the person only does single ship or they have a canon lover with no room for another, don't try to squeeze them in anyway. Characters can have meaningful bonds without being love or sucking face. And I am gonna be honest, if someone only know how to do romance or smut, you boring to me. Yeah, I said it.
