who would win in a knock-down drag-out fight? no emotional attachments, no curses/spells cast on them by anyone else, just their own physical/magical skills (and assuming they have all their limbs/eyes), kill or be killed (and assuming they all want to win/live)
anyone not in the list goes in tags (im not doing a tourney)
clow reed is not invited.

03052022 - Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
just how far we'd travel (both you and I know)
Tsubasa Chronicle Month - Day 3 - Kurogane
~
"Now, now, Kurogane," the Empress whispers to him from behind her fan. She sounds smug. Kurogane would throw something at her, if he knew it would faze her at all. "Stop looking like that. It's just a dinner, they'll be sent on their way come morning. And it's not like you have to actually entertain them."
Kurogane grits his teeth at that, more annoyed than he's been in years. Because he does have to entertain their guests, Tomoyo had made it explicitly clear that he has to play nice and be courteous, even if they're rejecting their marriage proposal for him. "Tell your brat of a sister that," he mumbles, before downing another cup of sake.
From Amaterasu's other side, a dainty, pointed, "Did you say something, Kurogane?" sounds and ugh, Tomoyo and her damn ears.
"Not a thing, princess."
"I thought as much."
He pours himself another cup, curses the mage and his damn, stupid timing for being away from the royal court while a diplomatic visit is happening. He curses the Empress and the Princess for not just declining the proposal via missive or something. It certainly would have made Kurogane's life easier.
He shoots a glance at where the visiting noble and his daughter are sitting; him, silently fuming in self-absorbed outrage at being decidedly refused; her, obviously frustrated that whatever ideas of a life at the royal court have been thoroughly dashed. Serves them right, he thinks with a soft snort, for thinking that, just because I married an outsider and a man, it doesn't count.
Because that's just it, that's what irks him the most about this entire affair. His marriage with the mage is public knowledge. They have been living together at Amaterasu's court for well over three years now, and this is probably the first time Fai has gone anywhere without him for more than a day or so. Literally, just last week, he and the Princess were in the palace gardens, braiding each other's hair and laughing at Heavens know what (though Kurogane suspects, as always, that it was at his expense).
Most people have understood that the fair-haired, smiling nuisance of a man that is Fai isn’t going anywhere, that Kurogane will not even so much as entertain the thought of taking a mistress or whatever else.
Not all, apparently, he grouches to himself, rubbing his aching temples, and downs another drink.

If there was one anime and manga that nailed the vibe of author Robert E Howard’s original vision of Hyboria, it was CLAMP’s RG Veda. RG Veda is still my favourite manga series of all time, and when I read Kull the Conqueror and Conan the Barbarian novels I imagine the people and places looking a lot like RG Veda’s world. In fact, I pretty much imagine Kull of Atlantis, King of Valusia, looking exactly like Yasha from RG Veda when I’m reading the novels.
Fun fact: In my upcoming Escaflowne fanfiction, Hyboria begins where the map of Gaea ends... there will even be a cameo by Conan the Barbarian himself as well as some of the fictional cultures and humanoid species from Robert E Howard’s stories!

Kurogane: Souma! What are you doing here? You’re supposed to be guarding Princess Tomoyo! You’re not running away with Amaterasu, are you?
Souma: Ah, um—It’s true, my name is Souma, but I am afraid this is the first time you and I have ever met.
Kurogane: Eh?
