first manga i ever bought was air gear cause it very narrowly removed from being straight up hentai, in my defense i was also insanely young but it is the first manga i ever read. other two were tsubasa rc/xxxholic. i also read bleach and naruto too
air gear would be insane if it aired today because like, Obama is in it

This is really random and something I can definitely do a google dive on myself, but was curious if you know off the top of your head since I like how you explain things. Is there something especially significant about April 1st in Japanese culture?
I feel like I've seen sooo many characters in anime/manga that have that as their birthday? Though maybe Tsubasa RC having like...5 of them is an outlier and shouldn't be counted lol, and obviously in Yuumori it could be leaning more into Easter/Christian themes.
Anyway, just wanted to know whether it's something you know about before I go a-researching. :)
I don't think so, no. If there is, nothing I know. There's just a lot of overlap when there's so many anime characters, sometimes it happens. 25th of December also lands with a lot of characters, although even Japan recognizes some significance to the date.
As for Liam, Easter actually was April 1st in 1866 (I legitimately looked it up trying to figure out why people said this was his birthday a couple years ago). And then later, Miyoshi-sensei posts birthday art for him on Twitter that says "Happy Not Birthday" with a red string wrapped around his throat, and the vindication, because I'd been insisting it wasn't his actual birthday; it was OG William's, not his. And, confirmed!
And then one of my friends started wondering how I got this so right about Liam being strangled by the fate of his fake fucking birthday.
Anyway, it could be a detail because of the year they decided to set YuuMori in (although they haven't taken most of the other details of any of the years). It could be because it's a false date and April Fool's. Or it could be not much of anything.

I am, once again, gripped in the throes of an old old love for the Tsubasa RC manga. Totally my friend’s fault. There is no cure. Help.
symptoms are: longing for the shelved sequel

I feel a lil bit nostalgic. One of my first OTPs, and yeah, it's "i'm all wearing black and act mean, but actually nice"/"i'm all sweet and sunshine, but actually don't" ARE YOU SURPRISED I'M NOT

hm.. snowing again?..
PS I like how the last art here was also Ashura and almost the same angle... seems I’m not so original haha
I am always too embarrassed to look at my old pictures
but at least I tried to draw more complex render here so I hope my art style has improved a little bit..
PPS hope you like black crown ashura... it was cian originally and I just wanted to try to make it dark, only as an experiment, and I guess it's my headcanon since then xd

Big Kitty, #9 (tweaked)
(I am still open to colour palette prompts, though I will almost certainly change the number of it because I have done nearly all of them by now and am feeling that completionist urge)
