💥THE CLEAN EATING MYTH💥 - - - Never miss any update from me. Follow @weightlossmotivation66 - - - Eat clean foods and lose fat, right? Well, not necessarily. A lot of people get this wrong. - I vividly remember a story a client told me about 5 years ago. She was talking about her overweight, healthy food-obsessed friend. - She wanted to lose weight, but never saw the scale budge. She couldn’t understand it, because she ate almonds, granola, trail mix, avocados, bananas, fruit, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free - all of it. - That’s all you have to do, right? Just eat whatever you want, and as long as it falls under the healthy, paleo, gluten-free category, weight just comes melting off. - NO. NOOOOOOOO. Calorie deficit, fam. Let me say it again - CALORIE DEFICIT. That’s really all that matters. Your excess body fat doesn’t care what food you’re putting in your body. It will start to come off once you create a negative energy balance by consuming fewer calories than you burn. - So, you *could* eat chocolate ice cream and protein shakes all day every day and if you are in a deficit, you’ll lose fat (a guy actually did this, and lost 32 lbs. in 100 days; Google it). - I know I’m going to get a lot of comments on how food quality does matter - and you’re all right! It does.
