I ... I ended up .... wanting both.

- TechNerd!Haruka again, because I can, and because I think you enjoyed that.

- So he gets hired for a voyage newbies-KisuRin are assigned to. They’re best friends with similar dreams; Rin to be involved with or running a voyage for research on the kind of phenomena that resulted in the disappearance/death of his father, and Kisumi to take after his mother by captaining voyages of his own, wherever his heart takes him.

- When they first meet Haruka, Rin’s appalled and Kisumi’s intrigued by his scruffy state of dress and clear lack of respect for superiors. They have a split second to wonder how the hell this guy got hired before they learn that the system they’ve gotta learn how to operate? Yeah, hand-designed by him. Maybe he’s not too shabby after all.

- Slowly but surely, the two of them start to become suspicious of the intentions behind the voyage they’re on. They’re supposed to be researching, but the captain seems like more of a figurehead than anything, and those supporting him seem more than a little sketchy. Cue them both enlisting Haruka for help on figuring out exactly what’s going on; at first he’s hesitant, but when he realizes there’s a chance his own system, his baby, is likely being used for something he doesn’t approve of? Doesn’t result in a happy Haru.

- Haruka kisses Kisumi first, probably just because he won’t stop fucking talking and it was the first thing he thought of that would do the trick. Kisumi is successfully stunned into silence for a handful of minutes, which is handy because they’re in the middle of snooping on a private meeting. Though it leaves Haruka to do all the work setting up the bug; Rin’s left with doing most of the listening hidden away in a room on the other side of the ship since Kisumi’s down for the count. (Although he does spend a good twenty seconds or so wondering what’s got Kisumi so quiet all of a sudden.) When he kisses Rin, it’s in front of Kisumi, on purpose. Neither of them have any idea how to react until Haruka looks at them both, meaningfully, and then it clicks. Rin gets his private kiss later on, after giving Haruka his life story or something else as ridiculously romantic as that.

(- Imagining best friends!KisuRin being thrown into a threesome with the guy they’re both enamored with is fucking hilarious please imagine it with me. I bet Haru likes to watch them make out, because. Pretty.

- Basically this story is military-ish (??) KisuRin teaming up with badass techie Haruka on a mission to take down an evil space voyage. It is full of tropes and I am trash. You can fill in all the dramatic parts, I assume~ 

- “Am I making the right decision by turning on the leading team behind this mission” discourse going on inside Rin’s head. Because he’s waited his whole life for this, hello. Exploding at one point, Kisumi and Haru talking him down.

- At one point Haruka programs the ship to respond to certain commands, but only to his voice. This comes handy in battle scenes---Haru’s alright with hand-to-hand combat, but he likes giving his software commands and watching it take out guys for him. Also, it’s kickass. Meanwhile Kisumi’s darting all over the place, tricking foes into taking each other out, and Rin’s probably got four damn guns out at the same time because he’ll go to an early grave before he does anything halfway.

- Did I mention Kisumi and Rin in uniform. whistles

- Also please imagine them in future voyages together after this mess, all domestic and shit. Rin bugging Haru to fix whatever bug is currently bothering him. The bugs are on purpose. Kisumi helping Haru make the bugs, then turning against him when Rin wants revenge. Space OT3 idiots in general.

who hogs the duvet: makoto. he’s damn lucky haruka doesn’t need it most of the time. winter, though... haruka will fight back. kick, too.

who texts/rings to check how their day is going: makoto. haruka often forgets he even has a phone.

who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts: haruka, because he actually makes stuff. paints/draws, whips out his grandmother’s sculpting wheel, or maybe he’s up for knitting something if it’s colder out.

who gets up first in the morning: haruka. doesn’t even have to set an alarm, he automatically gets up at like six thirty.

who suggests new things in bed: haruka, though he makes it sound like he’s just saying it in passing. “oh hey have you heard this thing people do”. makoto doesn’t take it all that seriously until haruka repeats it again more seriously when they’re in bed and he’s like “oh. yeah okay.”

who cries at movies: makoto. haruka cries once in a blue moon, but makoto cries more often.

who gives unprompted massages: haruka. makoto does sometimes, too, but it’s more common that haruka does. most of the time makoto feels bad and wants to reciprocate, though.

who fusses over the other when they’re sick: makoto. jesus. won’t let haruka have a chance at getting better. always there, always watching.

who gets jealous easiest: haruka, probably. but he deals with it on his own and lets it go away because he knows he should trust makoto. and he does, of course, but sometimes it just happens.

who has the most embarrassing taste in music: haruka. makoto doesn’t even know what 90% of the crap haruka listens to is, what genre it is. does it have a genre? where does he find this stuff?

who collects something unusual: haruka, again. thing is, he usually does find a use out of the things he picks up. seashells/pretty stones from the beach? decorates stuff with it.

who takes the longest to get ready: makoto. haruka doesn’t care what he wears as long as it’s still wearable. makoto has a shit fashion sense but still acts like he’s that much better than haruka is.

who is the most tidy and organised: haruka. doesn’t take up much space with his junk, keeps his junk in place, cleans up after himself. makoto says he’ll do it “later”. later never happens.

who gets most excited about the holidays: makoto. he’s like a goddamn dog when a doorbell rings or the mailman comes. “it’s just christmas, makoto, for god’s sake.” “yeah but PRESENTS. DECORATIONS. SNOW.” he’s a child in a grown man’s body when it comes to holidays. don’t even mention festivals like obon and tanabata.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: haruka loves being the big spoon. makoto does, too, but he thinks it’s cute when haruka is. plus he likes being embraced from behind so hey, why not.

who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports: makoto. haruka doesn’t see the point. he just thinks it’s fun to play games with people but to makoto it’s mostly about WINNING. it’s dumb but haruka thinks it’s a little cute when makoto gets fired up because he rarely does otherwise.

who starts the most arguments: haruka. they both like to bottle stuff up but makoto’s bottle is bigger than haruka’s.

who suggests that they buy a pet: haruka... well, he just brings home a cat one day. takes one off the street that was abandoned by its mother. makoto wouldn’t have said no even if he was crazy allergic.

what couple traditions they have: going up to the shrine during tanabata/new years is a big thing, date night about once a month where they go out for dinner at a fancy restaurant (makoto’s idea).

what tv shows they watch together: documentaries, the occasional scary film (because haruka wants to and because makoto can’t ever win an argument like that), but then they’re also the couple that watch the news rather than read stuff online.

what other couple they hang out with: kisurin. whenever this happens, it’s usually makoto & kisumi and haruka & rin, but they switch, too, or just hang out all four together.

how they spend time together as a couple: baking (haruka hates sweets but likes baking so he leaves the eating part to makoto), gardening, the occasional hikes up the mountain not too far away from their house.

who made the first move: makoto. it was incredibly slow and took so many years it’s a wonder they still had feelings for each other, but makoto just decides “it’s about time i do something or i’ll die with this one regret”. a simple hand-holding that haruka reciprocates after a brief moment of “???”, and their relationship begins quietly and slowly like that. takes a while for them to go from childhood friends to lovers but they take things slow.

who brings flowers home: haruka. always an impressive and colourful array of flowers, and mostly it’s for makoto’s birthday or if he’s gotten promoted at work, but sometimes it’s a bouquet of “i thought of you when i walked by the florist on my way home so here you go” flowers.

who is the best cook: haru, of course. maybe lets makoto help sometimes, but then it’s just “chop vegetables. don’t touch that stew, it’s doing fine without you messing with it.”

despite my recent bout of inactivity, i do actually have a few things cookin…well, simmering…slowly…on the backburner… *sweats*

untitled voltron vamp AU: ah, well, this is a much longer project than I’d anticipated going in. So far all i have is a basic outline for the first part (out of three parts) but that alone is almost 5k. It’s like, your standard vampire/werewolf/supernatural au. Lance and Hunk are werewolf aristocracy in an arranged marriage situation (they aren’t in love, but they are best friends so they’re more or less okay with the arrangement.) Keith is an incubus and Shiro is a newborn vampire. The Holts are a family of supernatural investigators whom Shiro (a mountaineer/trail guide) was leading into the mountains shortly before everything went to shit and he (and Matt) went missing and Pidge is trying to find them blah blah blah you get the idea lol. oh, and Allura is a super powerful sorceress who runs the private school Lance and Hunk go to

Hopefully this one will be cathartic for me. it’s taking me a long time to do because working on it makes me super emotional since i’m drawing mostly everything from real life experiences
