I went to kon-tiki museum today and i gotta say thor heyerdahl had impeccable vibes as an explorer. Literally hired people based on their vibes. It speaks so much for expeditions that he tried to show how connected the world was and how humans have trusted the oceans to carry them somewhere.

নিজেকে প্রমাণ করার জন্য ভেলা দিয়ে সমুদ্র জয় । Kon-Tiki Historical Movie Explained In Bangla
youtube
Norwegian adventurer Thor Heyerdahl (Pål Sverre Hagen) suspects that the South Sea Islands were originally colonized by South Americans. In 1947 despite his fear of water and inability to swim, Heyerdahl decides to prove his theory. He and five companions set sail from Peru on a balsa-wood raft built from an ancient design. Their only modern equipment is a radio, and they must navigate using the stars and ocean currents. After three exhausting months at sea, they achieve their goal. Kon-Tiki is a 2012 historical drama film directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg about the 1947 Kon-Tiki expedition. The film was mainly shot on the island of Malta. The role of Thor Heyerdahl is played by Pål Sverre Hagen. The film is an international co-production between Norway, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Kon-Tiki (1950)
My rating: 7/10
The book Heyerdahl wrote about his Kon-Tiki expedition is, as far as I can remember, the only thing my grandfather ever recommended to me, and so the story holds a special place in my heart anyway - add to that that this is quite well-directed and narrated, and it's a very pleasant and entertaining documentary from the "fuck around and find out" school of science.
One thing is odd, though: The version I watched is nearly 20 minutes shorter than the length listed on IMDB. I wonder what I missed there...

please say more about Thor Heyerdahl? I was fascinated by his books as a kid, but have no clue about the veracity of his theories
Thor Heyerdahl was a big proponent of hyperdiffusionism, the idea that certain historical technologies or ideas originated with a single people or civilization before their adoption by other cultures.
The problem with this pseudoarchaeological hypothesis is that it entirely fails to account for people's ability to independently come up with similar concepts.
It also tends to play into a very Eurocentric belief that 'culture' and 'technology' originated in Classical civilizations and/or Europe rather than acknowledging that many other groups all over the world are perfectly capable of coming up with amazing feats of culture.
Here's an article that does a good job summarizing what's wrong with Heyerdahl's work, but the TL;DR is that he wasn't doing good science. All of his experiments were specifically designed to confirm the possibility of his hypotheses rather than actually employing the scientific method. Also, he would have been well served to like... do some ethnographic research and talk to the people he was studying. That would have been a lot more productive.
