it really is just so fucked up. mind control should not be real. mind control is always seen as brainwashing beams and psychic control and stuff that you see in science fiction but the truth is that it’s real it exists the victims live among you and sometimes inside you and instead of beams it’s done with literal torture. people experience it and live with it and some die from it and despite all this. it’s still seen as just some sci-fi trope that isn’t real and you get dismissed as a nutcase when you say it happened to you.

Wanted to recommend Becoming Yourself by Alison Miller to other RAMCOA survivors. I’ve only started it but it’s good so far. It’s available on the Internet Archive (though support the author if you have the money/need a physical copy). My therapist recommended it to me and it focuses on RAMCOA specifically. It speaks to the reader with the assumption that they’re a system as well, which is a nice change actually. The title implies that it doesn’t cover organised abuse but it does, the author refers to both RA and OA as RA.

So, I've never really been a fan of doctor who. Tbh, I was kinda an avid hater of the show because i literally despised it. However, after watching one episode of s11, I've changed my mind. This season in particular is just so well written, the characters are all important in their own ways and the way they interact is honestly brilliant. The writers have really excelled compared to what I've heard about Moffatt's reign of terror lmao.
