😴 Last time you overslept

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever overslept… which feels like it can’t possibly be true, but yeah? 🤔 you know how an iPhone makes a little ‘snick’ noise before the actual noise of your actual alarm goes off? I’m awake at that snick, and half the time I’ve reached over and turned the alarm off before it’s even had a chance to get to the noise part. Which is actually quite a shame as I’ve got a large number of very fun alarms I don’t get to enjoy very often. Boo.

I think that has to be my Squishmallow Dabne. She’s the most huggable.

I thought this question stopped at ate, which would make it easy. But no. Food I’ve not cooked myself… erm… Ruth cooked dinner for us last night, does that count? It does, right? Anyway. We had mushroom soup with crackers, and salad with homemade croutons. Yummy yum yum.

Currently reading: Reading Larry fic, as usual and I'm about 2/3 though "Dress You Up in My Love" by @lucystarkidd, it's romantic and dreamy and wonderful!

Next reading: My Larry fic TBR is soooo long, but I think next I'll start "Rise Up Like the Sun" by @tommosgun/Star_Henderson

Currently watching: I've been watching the Sex and the City reboot, "And Just Like That", it's.........okay.

Next watching: I'm not a huge TV or movie watcher, but I'll be glad once some of the shows come back on in the fall. I still like watching "Grey's Anatomy" and I'll also be excited for "Bridgerton" to release the next season.

Current obsessions: Honestly, I'm a fall and winter person so I'm just excited to get my cozy fall clothes and boots out again and put up my fall home decor. Come on, September!

i don't really like when people say dungeon meshi is accidentally good autistic representation, because while i understand not wanting to make conclusions without explicit confirmation from the author, there's always the weird assumption that non-western authors somehow don't know about things like neurodivergency/queerness/etc. (on top of the assumptions that east asian authors are somehow more naive or oblivious to "western" social issues).

given that dungeon meshi started being published in 2014, it's not really a "work belonging to its times"—it's as contemporary as any other media we discuss on this site, which means it should be fair to assume it engages with contemporary topics (and at the very least, you shouldn't say that the representation is accidental with so much confidence)

but anyways, the chapter "perfect communication" in ryoko kui's "terrarium in a drawer" is some of the most straightforward autistic representation I've seen, and from now on I'm going to assume that laios's character writing is absolutely intentional in that regard:
