My 5th period students got to see my geeky side in full force today!!! They were working on their articles on Newsela, and we started discussing Jerusalem, comics, different types of government, and maps. Well my little history and comic loving self stepped out of my soul and took over! Haha! One of my students was amazed at how much I was geeking out over not just comics, but the maps. That really got him. We live in a fascinating world, and I still get excited about the little things that make this marble turn. Today I am just soaking in the benefits of having spent a whole weekend with other creatives wedding professionals at the @iraandlucy_masterclass. It can be difficult to gain perspective away from my desk, but as I look out my window I'm reminded by the tulips pushing through the earth that this has the potential to be a season of new life. Yes my brain has just been blown and now there's a million tweaks I want to make to improve our client experience, our systems, our inventory, and more. I can often feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of tasks, emails and to-dos it takes to get to the BEAUTY of what we do! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ↡⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then I remember that the beauty is all of you, it's designing for the most special moments in your life and getting to know you along the way. I have to remember that is what is peeking through the dormant earth today. Hidden beneath my stack of binders, and the never ending to-do list; is the emergent green bud of the love you have for each other and how that will be celebrated.
