HANGE ZOË. they need a hug, a lot of support, a psychologist, a hot cocoa, a non-risky but action-filled job, a fuckton of love… and i want to give them every single thing on that list!! also, i wanna travel with them because i think they would be the best (most positive and enthusiastic, at least) travel buddy. and i'm a little bit in love with them, too. icymi (it being my entire blog)

🌺 what is the best gift someone has ever given you and why is it so important?

a sweater my sister gave me five years ago. it's important bc she made it herself, because it's soft as fuck, and because it's my fave color and it makes my eyes pop in mrs krikkit's very unbiased opinion!

Hi! Just wanted to say that I binged BMO 3 weeks ago and I’m STILL having withdrawals. Every new levihan fic I start just pales in comparison, your writing has ruined me. Like absolutely nothing can fill this void. It’s become my favorite fanfic of all time, and it’s made me feel emotions I’d never thought I’d feel. Your take on certain tropes is just so, so refreshing. The pacing is perfect and satisfying and it’s everything I could ever want from a story. And the way you depict levi and hange is SO FAITHFUL. Their internal monologues, their banter, their personalities, everything is just so perfect and hilarious and I wanna thank you for giving me the best time ever. The Levihan fandom is small and cosy, but we're so lucky that it's full of quality fics, all kinds of AUs, and the most talented writers and artists. I haven't read many new lh fics in the last year or so but some of my all time faves are:

City Comma State is my fave lh fic that I've been following since it started 😭 waiting for that update. 🥲

Onto Something by @someonestolemyshoes is my fave, plus everything else she writes is 👌🏼🌟🤩 beautiful top tier

Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin (I read this after publishing Paint and Progress and omg I wish I had read it first because this book is goals and inspired me in a million levihanny ways),

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir,

A Little Life by Hanya Yanigihara (I met her this year omg I was starstruck),

and Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive series.

I have loads more but don't want to make this a whole book rec essay 😅 My life changed dramatically a few months ago because I got a new job and moved away, so I'm exhausted and making a new life for myself, but I'm enjoying every moment even if it means I have tons of overtime work and zero energy for fanfic writing. hi!!! thanks for your message, i do intend to continue writing, i even have a story or two in mind (who knows when i'll finish them, but... the intent certainly exists hehe)

as for my all time favorite fics, i do have a few!

A Dangerous Game by just_quintessentially_me is a fic you've most probably heard about or even actually but it is so, so good! easily, one of the best lh fics out there and times i've read and reread it probably can't even be counted. but it's really, really good - the intrigue is gripping, the relationships between character are complicated but so interesting to follow, the atmosphere is described so masterfully that, when reading it, i can almost feel that i'm a part of the story. and levihan there is complicated too, but also so sweet! watching them interact, whether they're simply working together, attempting to somehow navigate the mess of their feelings to one another or breaking each other's hearts is so fascinating it feels like a privilage to read this fic

She would never know by LadyEny - this one, oh this one. it broke my heart in so many little pieces, it actually made me cry, which i almost never do, but this fic is so worth all of my tears. it's sweet and tragic and simply genius

now..... you've also asked about spicy ones, which, i admit, i do like quite a bit, but, sadly, i haven't found much that i've enjoyed to the point of recommending them (if some of you do have some fun nasty stuff.... please share)

keep him waiting by keobuns - this one is so deliciously nasty, the descriptions are amazing and the spice is one of the best you could ever find. oh, and other good news! this author has more of similar stuff (and it's just as good!)

On the Edge by leftfoottrapped (miikkaa_xx) - this one is simply genius, the spice is on another level of being spicy, and yeah... it's good

And uhhhh have you heard of City Comma State? it is THE levihan slow burn relationship development fic. However, it's modern au. My fav canon verse is A Brief History of Reluctant Heroes it's fluffy time with the vets <3

@fanmoose12 is truly a gem to the levihan community. Do I need to say more? I actually joined Tumblr because of her. I was kinda new to the levihan fandom and I remember stumbling on her fics. They were so good that I even requested a few ideas and omg she delivered!

Any Personal Experience?

Fanmoose helped me when I started writing fics. I remember being so scared to dm her, but she was so sweet and encouraging. I have even talked to her outside of Tumblr and she is literally the best. Watching her and Ren (her spouse) interact is so cute and hilarious. Overall, she is a fun person to be around.

We Play Pretend (Teen and Up):

Fake. 👏 Dating. 👏 It is so good! The Ackerman family, the banter, fluff, ANGST! Basically, Levi's family is trying to set him up, but he decided hire Hange to fake date him after finding an ad on Craigslist. I highly recommend this one!

Catch Me if You Can (Teen and Up):

Okay so I remember reading it when it first came out, but then I stopped because I was caught up and life happened. I honestly liked the concept of it. So Hange is trying to catch and arrest the Ackermans but then she meets Levi. She does not know that he is an Ackerman but I think Levi knew who she was. I need to catch up on it but it is a good read!

Once Upon a Time (Gen):

Okay so this one was actually requested by me a loooong time ago. I am a sucker for Disney au's and this one is a Cinderella one. Fun fact, Fanmoose also did a Beauty and the Beast one and it was so good! Anyways, the whole story is cheesy and cute. The ending is the best part!

I don’t know if someone asked you this before! What are your thoughts on Mobuhan? Do you have any recs for Mobuhan stories and Eruhan stories? It’s hard to find ones focused on them or have them more fleshed out as a side pairing! 😅

I wrote a whole answer to this and then accidentally hit reload without saving it so rip  😭

Anyway, I think Mobuhan is a good ship and I’ve talked about them here and here. I can see its potential (especially when it comes to unrequited-love angst and yearning), but I personally prefer ships where both characters can stand on their own stories and have an approximately equal character depth (sorry Moblit, my lovely babie boy, but yams didn’t put a lot of effort in building you compared to many other characters in the story). 

However, the fanarts and AUs for Mobuhan are pretty good tho as the writers and artists pour all their love into fleshing Moblit’s character and features out, and there’s no doubt about Moblit’s selfless love and loyalty towards Hange in canonverse and fanon. My mans literally died for them and I have nothing but genuine respect and gratitude for him. 

Idk much about Mobuhan fics since I don’t read them (I rarely get time to read even Levihan rn) but I remember Jaxx used to write lots of great Mobuhan centered fics, so I’ll link their Ao3 page here. 

I love Eruhan tho! (check out my thoughts about them here and here). Again, I too, find it difficult to find Eruhan-centric fics but I’ve heard ‘Loss’ is a good one. Also @/eruhans has a list of recommendations that you can check out here!

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

i once wrote a fic (that i never finished btw oops) about a character that's an absolute disaster (Root from person of interest) trying to charm a character from a totally different show (Lisbon from the mentalist). except the disaster one's just been wounded, so it goes pretty much like this:

character A: cheesy flirty introduction

character B : flustured/lowkey kinda falling for A

character A: passes out on the floor from the pain/blood loss

it was a while back and that fic is definitely not my best, but to this day i think that was hilarious of me.

🎶 Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?

almost always when i'm at home! it helps me zone out of Reality and focus on certain scenes. added bonus, when i feel an idea slipping away like those fuckers often do, replaying the song i just listened to is usually a great way to jog my memory and get it back! (one good thing i learned from a decade in college! yay)

these days i've been playing the shit out of castle of glass by linkin park, and since you're a fellow levihan shipper, i can't recommend enough having a listen. it's... literally levihan in the 2nd part of s4, and it breaks my heart every single time (might use some lyrics as a fic title before part3 gets released, because it's THAT fitting)

🤲 Would you please share a snippet of a wip?

I was REALLY nervous anyone would ask that one, because i'm such a pro at modifying even key parts of my drafts right before posting stuff?? but okay, here we go. this is from an snk veterans college AU that i'm not going to finish or post anytime soon:

It's four in the afternoon and Hange just woke up, which their mother would no doubt qualify as a great shame when the day's weather has been so splendid –at least according to Nanaba and Mike, who have been blasting their phone to try and get them to come out with them.

They chuckle fondly. Of course those assholes liked nothing more than to spend their worst hangovers going out for a run at ungodly hours in the morning when Hange was still walking that fine line between still a bit drunk and entering the despair of post-alcohol consumption dehydration, and then exposing their sensitive eyes to way too much daylight for the sake of long term health and detoxifying their bodies.

Masochists.

They scroll down the long list of texts, quickly scanning it and surprised to see even Erwin Always-too-busy Smith replied to the group chat saying he had a free day as well and wouldn't mind spending it in the sun; and finally cave to give into what they'd really intended to do in the first place.

Their heart beating wildly against their ribcage, they get their finger to tap on the other app. Levi's profile picture is surrounded by the familiar orange and purple glint of a new story addition, and Hange's so quick to click on it they sigh at themself –before they lay eyes on the content and it turns into a pathetic pained moan instead.

Definitely a sci-fi idea that’s been rattling around my head for a while now. Space is a great setting for levihan come on now 🤪

2. A place you want to go to:

A friend and I were considering going out of state, we’re not sure where but it would be our first time vacationing on our own. Colorado? Honolulu? Massachusetts? 🤔

3. A book you want to read:

The Song of Achilles. It’s been recommended to me by a lot of my moots and friends, I’ve seen it all over my feed. I just need to get my hands on it 🫡

4. Something fun you want to do:

I’d like to go out to restaurants I haven’t been to. Be more adventurous with my foodie side, explore more flavor palettes 😋

5. Something you want to make:

I’d like to make more friends! I still haven’t moved on from my self isolating habit 😬

6. A habit you want to start:

Better skin care. My current one isn’t cutting it anymore. I need to switch it up and find better products. Drink more water too 😂

Ooh, I saw you added Attack on Titan to your bio and started reblogging some content. What are your favorite ships, and have you read the ending?

oh gosh yeah, i binge-watched attack on titan because a friend recommended it. then right after, i read the manga. i absolutely despised how it ended but i can just pretend that none of it was canon :) the version in my head is better anyway

it doesn’t seem like my ships are particularly popular, but i haven’t touched the fandom spaces much to know for sure. i’m a huge mikannie (is it mikaani ?) and yumihisu (is it yumikuri ?) fan. i’ve already read a bunch of fics for them and i’m working on a fun little mikannie fic myself, though i don’t see myself finishing it any time soon haha.

i’m also a really big multishipper for this fandom:

while the two mentioned ships are my biggest ones, i’m also pretty partial to eremin, erejean, jearmin, jeanmarco, (i just think jean, eren, and armin should kiss some men!), jeansashcon, jeanpiku, mikasasha, mikahisu, (i just think mikasa should kiss some women!) hitchannie, reibert, levihan, eruri, and pikuhan. realizing now that i dont have that many m/f ships, but i just didn’t see much chemistry between any of those lol. also realizing that jean is a very shippable character!

I wouldn't have known the Levihan fanfic wasn't available if you hadn't told me. I was surprised because I loved that fic! I don't know where else to read it tho. By any chances, have you downloaded it? I think ao3 allows its users to download the stories. Too bad I didn't get to download it *internally screaming why*
