one headcanon hill i will DIE ON is luke alvez being a natural lefty, but he taught himself to be a righty because he was raised catholic in the 70s

but he still retained his left-handedness to some extent, and as he got older and redefined his relationship with catholicism, he started alternating between hands and became ambidextrous, but still prefers his right hand in most day-to-day activities after favoring it for so many years

and then he joins the bau, and as luke gets more comfortable (1) with himself and (2) with the people around him, he stops putting so much conscious thought into which hand he uses, and maybe he gets injured or something, but at some point, spencer notices luke writing with his left hand and brings it up while they're alone, which leads to luke kinda just spilling his guts about how some older and less tolerant parts catholicism still affect him, and for the following weeks, spencer just starts writing with his left hand too because he's technically ambidextrous (his handwriting is god awful with both hands)

its just a small gesture, but it helps luke feel a little less isolated and he eventually starts using his left hand pretty regularly until penelope, the team's resident lefty since hotch left, finds out, and she makes a huge deal out of it and gets him all kinds of pens and a collection of other odd trinkets designed for lefties, and luke just feels so seen

also he's good with both his hands iykwim ;]

Another Spearmaster detail I wished was talked about or explored more because In all honesty, it makes feel So Normal /pos, is the fact in some of their sleep screens, they draw an iterator with a frown or themself with a smile

While these are both very small details, it does open up some very interesting implications

1: The fact that Spearmaster is intelligent enough to understand that frowning/smiling could represent different emotions, and draws themself/the iterators frowning/smiling despite neither of them having a mouth, alongside most likely never seeing a creature with an ability to smile/frown

2: The fact this heavily implies that they knew at least one of the iterators they were familiar with was unhappy, the iterator drawn here is most likely either Suns or Pebbles as well since those would the the iterators they were most familiar with... (I'm personally leaning on the former, since Suns is the iterator who's puppet they would have most likely seen the most, since they only did visit Pebbles once before their second mission... I wonder if that means they noticed how upset/distraught Suns was before they sent them out on their second delivery...)

That's not even mentioning some of the other drawings they do, which have different, but in all honesty equally interesting implications, such as how they draw a rot cyst in one of their sleep screens

This is probably me overthinking things, but, the best way I can explain how I feel about it knowing what rot is... It makes me sad in the same way a bird imitating the sound of a chainsaw would, they don't know that this thing, this monster, was brought into existence by the first message they delivered, the message they were made to deliver

How and why have we not talked about the absolute hell show that would be a genuinely devout religious person ending up in nevermore, like???

Do they think its just purgatory?? Is it just like “Welp, I guess I took the wrong bet.”

Also do we know what the land of dead is exactly?? Is it just like, Hell,,, or what just some place where all dead people hang out, like it’s never indicated that it’s a place where souls go to be tortured or something. It’s just where you go to be fully dead. Maybe it’s just more tests like something to decide whether you go to the good dead place, or the bad dead place.

Also, according to the Raven, the implication is that before the deans arrived souls were free to venture to the threshold to the land of the living the moment after they died and woke up in nevermore, so if canonically reincarnation is a part of the world building here, being a never stopping flow of rebirth. Why is there even a land of the dead?? Were some people at some point, just like

“Nah, I don’t wanna do this again”

“I’m done man, I don’t wanna live another life. Imma just stay down this time.”

I’d say Oluwande and Jim have the only braincell on the Revenge and they ping it back and forth, but it’s a lot more accurate to say they each have their own, but sometimes Jim turns to Oluwande and says “hold my braincell, bro”. Oluwande meanwhile is desperately trying to pass it back like “dude no, you NEED that” but it’s too late, they’re already off on their brainless adventure.

What I’m saying is that Jim actively chooses to be a dumbass. The rest of the crew just can’t help it.

Remember that cardiologist I was soooo happy to see, who was so knowledgeable and made me feel so heard? This dude. THIS FUCKING DUDE. Told me like a month ago (maybe like 6 weeks ago) that they've been seeing cases of people developing dysautonomia after getting the covid booster, especially young people with autoimmune issues, right? So today when I bring up how my pcp wants me to get the next shot, he not only says "it won't do anything negative to you, you have nothing to worry about" but also "I don't think it's necessary for you to get the next shot. Maybe at the start with OG covid when even healthy people were getting really sick, but not anymore. Especially since you're a healthy adult with a strong immune system."

My friends. I have been on tacrolimus for 3 YEARS straight because every time I stop taking it my FUCKING KIDNEY DISEASE RELAPES. Immediately! I will be on an immunosuppressant for who knows how long, and I have fucking POTS, and this dude told me I'm a healthy adult and shouldn't get anymore vaccines. Cuz I'll be fine if I get covid.

I didn't even have it in me to argue, I just looked at my wife like o.O and they looked back like O.O and wow. Wow. He was in the room for less than five minutes, and all I got was "dysautonomia usually goes away on its own so wait a few weeks, increase your salt intake, and don't bother protecting yourself against covid." I felt like I was seeing a completely different doctor.

I'm really fighting the petty urge to message my PCP and ask for a "second opinion" since "my cardiologist doesn't think it's worth my time to get it" and just fucking let her at him. Or worse, my Nephrologist. God, that woman would eat him alive. We should all start weaponizing doctors against each other. They won't have time to tell us to lose weight if they're too busy ripping each other's limbs off.

I've never posted much on petblr before (partly because...disc horse...) but I'll make a passing ratblr post to show off my girls! Top two pics are of Latula, and the bottom two are of Porrim! They're around 3 or 4 months old and are my first rats! They're both sweethearts and I love them so much, I really hope I can be a good owner for them.

(Do any ratblr folks have recommendations for playpens? I'd like something easily stored away. I have cats so I get nervous letting them free roam the bed in case they jump off and make a break for it. ;-;)

Why?

- they go to prison not juvie

- theyre old enough to pay taxes (but dont)

- also idk how many ppl need to hear this but TEEN DOES NOT EQUAL MINOR!! 18 and 19 are stil teens but also are adults

Hello!

Hi everyone! For those of you who don't know, I'm Lex and this is my blog!

It's been almost a year since my last post and I kinda wanna just come on here and talk a little bit about... life? Writing? Posting?

Yeah...

So much has happened in the past few years and my writing has suffered tremendously. If it's not my writing that's suffering, then its my fanfics that are.

As some of you may know, I've been writing and publishing novels as of late. Novels with original characters and plots and shit like that.

That's been my primary focus, though I do so love this community and the stuff I've written here.

I guess one of my worries is that I've been gone for so long, do you guys even want me back? I feel like an absent father watching my kids soccer game from a distance lol.

I have stuff written and I would love to challenge myself to do another ficmas or something like kinktober, but I almost feel like my time on Tumblr has fizzled out. Like im a veteran Tumblr user at this point or something

I started this blog when I was in high school, and for so many years it was my escape and my safe space. And I feel like I've been gone for so long that idk if its that anymore.

I have stuff written and I have ideas but im just worried that I'm old news lol

and I know, I know 'write what you want' but to an extent, I also want to write stuff that people enjoy.

I don't know. it's all been just... a lot.

If I were to come back, I think I would make some changes.

I would likely stop doing tag lists and start an archive blog of all of my posts, and I would start writing for new fandoms as well.

My master list would change and my layout would likely change as well, but yeah I just miss you guys, I miss Tumblr and I miss writing fanfics.

But yeah, that's my tedtalk. I wanna come back but I almost... don't know how...

I've built this platform on marvel, and so to change and write for others feels strange but it's also what I have the motivation for.

I don't really know, I just wanted to kinda come spew my thoughts and stuff. I know I've said it before, but I think I may be coming back for real now🤍

Felix’s character is pretty much demolished now

I remember the end of S4 and how I was super hyped to have Felix as a rogue holder with an extreme selfishness but something about him getting with Kagami is so random and out of character to me?

They barely met and he literally kidnapped her…

For some reason I think I just had a super fanon idea of Felix in my head… one where he was super mature and didn’t care for human relation outside of his family - and especially wanted Gabriel’s downfall.

So why in the actual shit did he basically hand all the Miraculous to him?

If Felix’s main goal is to gain freedom for the Sentimonster’s (assuming the Kagami senti theory is true), why would he enable their abuser?

Felix was supposed to be a villain. They made him assault Marinette, get rid of the Miraculous, and lie and lie and lie. So why now are they getting him with Kagami and trying to make him likeable?

Choose one!

Also… on the topic of that theory. It is so fucking weird how they made Felix call the sentimonsters his siblings… if Kagami is a senti… and he’s dating her… *skull emoji*

I love how creative the Rain World community can be with giving their own artistic flare to the characters while still making them recognizable, it's genuinely one of my favorite things about the community!

Shout out to designs that incorporate stuff like:

overseer highlight colors in iterators (cyan in pebbles, yellow in moon, ECT ECT)

giving Moon a lunar motif

making arti's scars look like explosions

making post collapse Moon desaturated and rusty!!! Same goes with Pebbles

purposed slugcats sharing markings/characteristics of the iterator who created them (spearmaster with eye stripes, Hunter with a diamond marking, ect ect), or giving them little clothes/ponchos based on their iterator

putting yellow on Survivor, or vice versa for Monk

slug mantles/slug tails/literally incorporating the slug aspect of slugcats more in any way

or on the opposite side of the spectrum, making scugs more catlike, warrior cats vibes /pos

gourmand designed after food in some way or another

Spearmaster/Saint being portrayed as slugcat body horror, uncanny and unnerving to their own kin

And the opposite! The more purposed/supernatural scugs being little creatures all the same!

making slugcats like INV and Nightcat anomalies/creatures that don't quite belong in their own world, like a living glitch

Sorry I just really wanted to gush about RW designs, genuinely I love how creative and wonderful the fandom can be by taking relatively simple designs and adding on their own interpretations and wonderful flare! It was an aspect I really love to see in places like the warrior cat fandom or such, and I'm so glad It carried over to the RW community :]
