antwerp's royal museum of fine art is restoring a rubens painting that's so big they can only do it in the gallery room so they've turned it into an exhibit and you can just go and watch the art restoration people with their little jars of solvent and cotton swabs for hours taking off the old varnish..... effervescent

Finally, I managed to combine three of my favorite things: Alice, Patho, and Celtic knotwork. I've justified why each healer was represented by a given pair of lines to no end.

"Imperious Prima" for Daniil because he is kind of an imperious shithead (still love him though), and because he is most people's first experience with Pathologic so "to begin it."

Artemy gets "in gentler tones" because he is overall a more gentle character than frigid Dankovsky. He also experiences a lot of nonsense and delves underground just like Secunda (Alice).

Clara is Tertia because she does, in fact, interrupt the tale. Kind of.

If you look at the border, you might be able to find the three colors I used to represent the healers tangled up with eachother.

I might post some close-up/detail shots later, weather permitting.

finished my first colorwork sweater!!!!

( @trashpandacraft was right it probably could do with one more blocking sesh but tbh it's Good Enough and I was excited to wear it and also my blocking set up is in the most inconvenient place possible so.)

#wow I thought the colorwork part took a long time.... #i had to undo the the neckline for the front and back because the armseye wasn't deep enough #and then I made up the sleeves as i went because they didnt match the pattern anymore #but I also messed up the sizing (got my inches and centimeters mixed up lol) #but that just gave me a cropped sweater which i like so i didnt go bacl to fix that #and even tho i went down a needle size the stitches came out a touch loose and the fabric where there is no #colorwork is quite mesh like #so i have to wear a cami under when im at work but i do that with all my pullovers regardless of fabric so thats no biggie. #but the pros now. #the linen and silk are so comfy for my bad body heat managment ass #i will be wearing this sweater in the summer.
