I love the little AU that skinny people live in where they have the same problems as fat people and can relate to the Experience. artists references are only for fat bodies, artists that do draw thin bodies are getting DMs from people going like "omg I'm so happy I discovered your art, it's so rare to find an artist who draws small bodies!!!!! for the first time I see people who look like me 😭😭" skinny people going "omggg I finally found a clothing brand that sells nice dresses in XS, I wish they weren't so so overpriced though" skinny people getting home from the doctor's office and collapsing on the couch to tell their roommate that their doc spent the whole appointment quizzing them about their diet and they were told they need to gain 40 pounds. but the doctor didn't want to check out the weird scraping sound they make when they breathe in, just that they should probably gain weight first. skinny celebrities and influencers spending thousands of dollars getting plastic surgery to transfer fat to their stomachs and jawlines. all the main characters in tv shows are fat. when you watch cartoons as a kid, there's one skinny character, and they're really dumb and annoying and get laughed at by the other characters. they're a loser and never get a boyfriend/girlfriend. the same clothes that are stylish when worn by fat people just get you made fun of. desirable romantic leads and manic pixie dream girls twirl their hair and say "yeeah I've just been fat my whole life, I just never lose weight no matter what I eat hehe" and this is an extremely endearing and attractive trait.

Fenton Street Food

Maybe if Danny repeated it enough times he'd start to believe it, though seeing the monstrosity that was the Fenton food cart he highly doubted it. More so because it had fucking guns hidden next to the mutant and very alive Hot dogs (which by the way were not sellable, they were the mascots of the brand).

It all started when Jack Fenton talked about his dream of delivering his favorite food around the world, that fueled Maddie Fenton's idea, and since Jazz was in college and Danny was on vacation no one could stop them.

Soon Danny became a victim of his parents' eccentricities. Although the halfa had to admit that selling in Gotham was a lot of fun, thieves didn't think it was worth mugging him and the Rogues themselves bought his food of dubious origins.

It was almost a shame to have to change cities because Batman was getting too suspicious but Metropolis was waiting for him. And he would be back eventually; some bats who had enjoyed his strange roving food stall had waved him off with handkerchiefs, wiping away fake tears. Danny appreciated it.

Besides, Red Robin affirmed to him that he would recommend him to Superboy, so he wouldn't run out of customers anytime soon. He wondered if he should stop by Central City, the Flash Family ate a lot didn't they?

I took my car to a mechanic to fix the alignment on the 29th and they just told me today that it was stolen on the 31st. I am furious

Car-free/Low-Car Living in the Suburbs - “The History” Pt 2

Once I graduated from homeschool, how did I navigate the adult world in beige suburbia without a driver’s license?! Is it possible?! Well yes but also no.....

There were a few hiccups in getting my graduation requirements cleared and receiving my diploma. I was done with homeschool, but stuck in this gray area where I couldn’t quite yet truthfully say I was a high school graduate. That’s why I got a job as an independent contractor doing work-from-home stuff with the company my parents worked for. 

It was nice that I got to do it from home, but I got paid peanuts and it was mind numbingly boring. I really didn’t learn any skills either. So it was just filler until I could go out and get a job. 

My first job out in the world was working fast food. My parents basically drove me there and drove me back home. This is a terribly unsustainable transportation option and I don’t recommend it. It was a total pain trying to coordinate my work schedule with my parents’ work schedules. 

Eventually I was able to work at a nice place I liked near my home. I could walk there and back, which is what I did most of the time. Sometimes people gave me a ride since I lived so close and it wasn’t a problem, but that was not a necessity. I do recommend trying to get a job close to home, especially if you are younger and still working at random jobs in shops or fast food joints. Once you graduate university and get out into career jobs, this gets so much harder! But I’ll talk more about that another time....

But basically this became my bread and butter throughout most of my adult life, especially since I was putting off going to college until I didn’t have to report my parents income for going to university (no debt!!!). When I moved out with my boyfriend, I’d simply get a new job close to home. 

Next time I’ll talk about having to navigate suburban public transportation to get to community college.
