sometimes when percy looks at his mom, his hands still shake.

there’s an ever present ringing in percy’s ears, behind the sound of crashing waves. and sometimes, on quiet nights, that ringing sounds too much like a scared woman sacrificing herself for her son.

you seem like they type of person who would give their pet actual gold accessories (necklace, bracelets), yet only eat instant noodles for dinner.

ur right. if i could i would dress my pets in the most beautiful, most luxurious clothing. the finest silks and most expensive jewels. my dog - charlotte, a boxer - she would wear little puppy dog heels, and i would bow when i hear her click click clicking down the hall. my dogo argentina ruger will wear the most crisp of suits. doofer, a mastiff, will dress like a 14th century court jester, because he’s really stupid, but a really fancy one, like with clothes made half of gold. pete, a brussels griffon, is an emotional service dog so he’ll dress like a therapist, like with a blazer and slacks and stuff, but he’s really dumb so he’ll be a sort of shitty therapist even though he always makes you laugh. 

my maine coon cat, benny, is a 1940s mobster. for sure. but a stupid one, just a goon. idk what the fuck kind of cat squishy is but she’ll wear a long cocktail dress and smoke cigars as she reminds you how much hotter than you she is. tiny floof, a calico, dresses like a five year old - like in big sparkly tutus and jojo siwa bows. and lil dude, who just kind of showed up in our backyard one day, is an e-boy. 

our chickens are fun. our one rooster, lemony snickets, dresses like an english professor. the other one is named captain and thus dresses like a sailor. our tiny chickens run naked and free like they deserve. our petticoat chickens literally wear petticoats. our mule, jake, wears a red shirt and khakis. one of our goats, deuce bigilo goat gigilo, is a male stripper. our other goat, ezekiel blueford, is an incel and you know it just by looking at him. 

i sit, surrounded by my animals. i wear nothing but rags. there is a pot of ramen in my lap. it burns, but i am happy, for my animals are happy.
