since sam can talk to birds and joaquín was kinda turned into one (and not any bird but redwing, sam’s pet) they share a special connection and sometimes they can send telepathic messages to each other or feel when the other is in danger

upon reflection i would like to address my posts in the sambucky tag. i was passive aggressive and victimizing myself when i was the aggressor. i was so focused on reiterating my points when i felt i wasn’t being understood i neglected to consider the impact of my words. all in all, it was wrong to make those posts. and i was especially wrong to then put them in the sambucky tag. it was wrong to pick fights and to reply defensively to those who were attempting to educate me. i should have stepped back and listened to what others were trying to say. my actions in speaking over you all were wrong. i am sorry for the language i used which was problematic and hurtful and the ways in which i handled the situation from there, especially regarding concerns with my statements about sam and bucky’s dynamic and their attitudes/responses towards one another, which were not comparable. criticizing the writers so much, especially to assert them as being against sam, was highly insensitive. likewise i kept defaulting back to the ceos in charge as responsible for sam and bucky’s characterizations in a way which ignored the creative authority of the writers room and show runners like malcom spellman. my fixation on the ship and queerbaiting centered my expectations around bucky and his narrative, largely sidelining spellman’s intended message which was what was important.

it is not up to me to decide which actions are racist or not, especially regarding my own, and i should have focused on responding as was deserved rather than forcing my point repeatedly. i acknowledge my biases, especially towards bucky (and steve) and will be working to move past such behavior when discussing FATWS and bucky’s dynamic with sam. for the way i treated the users engaging with me i truly apologize. i should not have invalidated and ignored your legitimate concerns. i removed the posts as i now see they were inflammatory and disrespectful and have no wish to cause further harm by continuing to subject new users to hurtful beliefs. but i dont want to pretend like it didn’t happen, so i will keep this up in order to hold myself accountable and acknowledge what i did. i will commit to educating myself, listening when those with authority speak, and trying to atone for how i harmed the fandom in ways which were uncalled for because i was projecting my own issues onto a fandom which did not deserve it. you all were justified in the ways you responded to me and though i plan to respect the boundaries established by those who no longer want to engage with me or my content by not reaching out individually, i bear you all no ill will and understand your reactions and decisions.

With Malcom Spellman at the helm, we probably won't get a love interest for Sam. I would love for him to have one. I'm a SamMisty fan so I would love for them to meet . TFATWS should have gave us Leila Taylor. We could possibly get SamSharon 🤷🏿‍♀️

I mean I get it Malcolm is the worst but I don’t think they’ll get to that point. Samsharon is nice in theory and i adore Sharon/Emily but yea (hopefully) that’s not happening.

yes I think we ALL desperate for SamMisty. The question is if they will bring Simone back or not. The only netflix mcu cast coming back to the disney mcu are charlie and vincent from daredevils. logically, if they keep the same actors for their characters then Simone may be going to play Misty again.

Excuse me?? TFATWS writers broke an entire Bucky/Sarah love story!?! 👀👀 WHOLE DAMN LOVE STORY!! Sir, we're going to need you to show the whole Bucky/Sarah story in the next Cap movie.

For me, episode 6 always felt like some time had past since the events in NY. Originally the series was 8 episodes, so I believe the 2 episodes would have shown Bucky going to Louisiana in-between working thru his book while Sam was away doing Cap things, and Bucky & Sarah's relationship developed. It would explain why Bucky and the boys are closer and so playful with each other. This is just my take on how it may have played out. But, it just makes you wonder what is in the BuckySarah cut footage. 👀

Some clarifying info from the showrunner

->Including a persistent rumor that a large chunk of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was rewritten to remove a pandemic-related storyline. Addressing the cut storyline, Spellman said “I’ve been told to stop saying that. I loved it and it had nothing to do with the pandemic. I want to see if we can get some of the writers to do a [comic] book run on it because I think Kevin [Feige] does it. I’ve been told to stop talking about it.”

->Regarding Bucky Barnes’ possible bisexuality – a part of the story some fans had hoped to see in the series but that didn’t transpire – Spellman said that “no one really says ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to anything” but that any story they write has to play out organically, and ultimately they have left the character in a position to go on a major journey now that his past trauma has been somewhat resolved.

“I can’t honestly say that I have an opinion,” he said. “But whoever picks up the pen or the keyboard, I’m gonna embrace whatever direction [Bucky] goes in.”

->Touching on Walker’s murder of Flag-Smasher Nico in full view of the public after injecting himself with the super soldier serum, Spellman seemed less sure of whether there could be true accountability for the crime, because that just isn’t the way the US government works. “The government backed him as Cap, so in a weird way even when he had the shield he was US Agent.”

->I know a lot of people had problems with the pacing but....

Spellman also confirmed that the series was cut from 8 episodes to 6 to remove some “flab”.
