I don't start with an idea, I'm usually led by the shape of the lump of clay I tear off. Then I smooth, push, pull and a little form begins to appear. It's a process that I find very soothing. . . This isn't a technique or skill heavy method of making. It's mainly about having a feeling for the clay and a little bit of imagination. I just use my fingers and a toothpick. I've got other proper sculpting tools here too but sometimes I prefer to keep it simple. . . I really appreciate all the people who bought some from my last batch.
