thinking abt mary's storage locker from 14x11 (an episode that aired on dean's bday btw) and how the combo to her storage locker is 1-24-67. the wiki says it's 1-24-79 but the screenshot from the ep shows the last two numbers are actuall 67 like, uh, the impala year. which just makes it even more of a deancoded number imo. like that would be dean's passcode of everything tbh
anyways feeling emo abt mary's go-to numbers being her first born's bday and the impala's year

The other reason I fucking love Mary Winchester is how far out of the park Jensen Ross Ackles hits it EVERY TIME he has to play Dean's mom-related pain. It really brings home for me what a fully-realised character, and like, whole-ass human being Dean is, and makes me feel every fucking year of Dean's motherless life.
Jensen just KILLS IT.

Dean is terrified to lose Cas and he wants to lean on Mary about it, SPN 12x20
When Cas joins forces with Kelly to bring Jack to life at full power, Dean is scared out of his mind, perhaps rightfully so.
It's never been clear how much was cosmic brainwashing and how much was Cas. He could've been his worst shadow self: living as vicarious god through Jack's power...or at his best: more charitably, wanting a good future for his loved ones (evidenced in the script vision).
Anyway, it's no wonder Dean is terrified, given Cas's history of being jerked around by cosmic forces.
Dean: I didn’t recognize the guy staring back at me.
///
Sam decides to take a case with the Banes twins, and Dean is affronted.
Dude, what the Hell? Cas is—
///
He sits on his bed. The weight of everything hitting him—
…can you call me? Please? I—there’s some stuff going on that—it’s got me kinda spun out, and…it’d be good to hear your voice.
///
(Mom? I’m losing Cas again. I can feel it.)
