Henry Cavill x famous!female reader

Summary: After your appearance on the Voice in your home country, you turn to a successful acting career with a steady fanbase worldwide. When you are promoting your newest movie, Henry Cavill is also on the couch at Graham Norton and the host of the show is not gonna let you forget about your the Voice days.

You wore a lilac colored dress. It’s short, with tiny illusion sleeves and goes down straight. The reason you love this dress so much, is because it matches your beloved Versace heels. The Medusa Aevitas Platform Pumps. Never had you loved a pair of shoes that much and you had been wearing the black ones quite a lot, however you never had a chance to wear the lilac ones. 

Until now and now was the perfect opportunity to wear such shoes.

Your late night show appearance tonight at the Graham Norton show had been your debut. You were nervous to say the least, but it wasn’t helping you were sitting next to Henry Cavill. He was really handsome and goodness gracious, was he broad.

‘So, Y/N,’ Graham said, causing you to look up from your hands. ‘Love, are you alright? You appear a bit nervous.’

You let out a chuckle. ‘I am,’ you admitted. ‘This is my first interview with an audience.’

Graham nodded. ‘Well, nothing to be nervous about. You are surrounded by wonderful people. Tell me this, you’ve watched the Witcher?’

You felt everyone’s eyes on you, including the ones of Leonardo DiCaprio, who was sitting on your left and Henry Cavill, who sat on your right. ‘I haven’t,’ you whispered.

Leave it to Graham Norton to over exaggerate and gasp loudly. ‘You haven’t?’ he asked you.

You shook your head, before you dared to look at Henry. ‘I’m sorry.’

The audience started to laugh, including Henry himself, who placed his hand on his chest. ‘It hurt, I gotta admit, but I’ll recover.’

It sure eased your mind. 

‘You watched movies with either of these men?’ Graham asked.

You nodded. ‘Yeah, I really enjoyed Inception,’ you said, turning to Leonardo, who nodded in approval, ‘just like Shutter Island. Catch me if you can is also such a classic.’ You then turned to Henry Cavill, who looked so intimidatingly handsome, you had to clear your throat. ‘I liked him in Mission Impossible and Man of U.N.C.L.E.’ You didn’t know exactly why you seemed so nervous and insecure now, but maybe it was because you recently heard Henry Cavill had been single again and you had not been able to think about anything else anymore since you found that out. 

In the fantasy you had created in your mind, you could’ve seen yourself with Henry Cavill. Intelligent, articulate, funny and handsome. He was like the real deal and single and you happen to be single as well.

Clearly it was a match made in heaven.

You knew you were new to the industry, this being your first movie after your loss at the Voice. You had been the first to leave the finals and while it definitely hurt your feelings for quite some time, you realized this couldn’t be the last of you. You had dreamed of becoming famous. You had a few roles in movies back in your home country. While they were classics within the borders, they never made it big outside of your country.

And now here you were: promoting the movie you were so proud of and simultaneously making a foul out of yourself in front of your long time celebrity crush.

Wonderful.

Graham’s eyes landed on you, before he leaned back in his chair. ‘You gentlemen know what she did prior to this movie?’

The two men both shook their heads, while your hands started to get clammy. 

‘Well,’ Graham continues, ‘she actually was my favorite contestant of her country’s the Voice.’

You face was heating up, to a point where your cheeks were sensitive if you were to touch them. 

‘Really?’ Henry asked, clearly surprised.

You only could nod. 

‘She truly has the voice like an angel,’ Graham says. ‘We’ve got a little sneak peak.’

You wanted to disappear. You looked at the screen and saw a two year younger version of yourself, standing on the podium in front of an audience and the backs of the four chairs of the coaches. For your audition song you decided on Up All Night by Kehlani and it showed off your sweet, yet full voice.

Thankfully, Graham did not put you through a long misery, because he only showed the ending. The audience started to applaud and you awkwardly dug your fingernails in the palm of your hand. 

Henry was impressed, as he gushed: ‘Wow, you’re really good. You won right?’

‘No, was the first one to leave the finals,’ you said and it was the first time your voice didn’t quiver, but that was mainly because stating facts was easier. 

‘Shame,’ he notes, ‘you would’ve definitely been my favorite.’

✰ ✰ ✰

After a long but fun evening, you were in your respective dressing room, talking to your manager. However, you were interrupted by a knock on the door and you looked up, only to be met by Henry Cavill himself.

Oh dear…

‘Hi,’ he shyly said.

‘Hi.’

‘I just wanted to say I really liked meeting you tonight,’ he admitted and you almost had to grab the hand of your manager, in order to keep yourself upright. 

‘Thanks, likewise,’ you managed to choke out.

He seemed to hesitate a bit, but then the words rolled out of his mouth: ‘Can I have your number?’

The aftermath kinda became a blur, but there were a few things you were certain of: 1) your manager deserved a raise with the way she handled the situation (especially because you were absolutely useless in your state of shock) and 2) you had Henry Cavill’s phone number!

While you were dancing around in your dressing room after he disappeared, your manager handed you your phone. 

‘Check it out, future mrs. Cavill.’

You glared at her as you took the phone from her. Your eyes landed on your screen where you saw a notification.

Henry Cavill: Just wanted to tell you one more thing

                       𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄: it’s been so cool! i’ve been dipping my toe into fashion recently, so it’s super exciting to be around other people who really live it.

𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐔𝐑𝐄: dipping your toe is an understatement. you’ve been killing it. so who influences you, fashion wise?

                       𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄: my mama is my number one influence! although she didn’t have a lot of money for designer clothes, she made everything that she wore look like it came straight off a runway. she’s the reason i have this ghetto high fashion quality about me. her favorite brands are michael kors and coach so i made sure to get relationships with those brands so i could lace my lady up.

𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐔𝐑𝐄: that’s super sweet. what does it take to be an icon in any industry?

                     𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄: you asking the wrong person! i think it would take individuality and authenticity. being authentic and genuine about the things you do can get you far. but you also have to be memorable, and you have to have something that’s associated with you ⸻ a catchphrase, a outfit, a moment. just be unforgettable. 

𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐔𝐑𝐄: what does fashion mean to you?

               𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄: to me fashion is just fun. that’s why i’m careful with labeling myself a fashion girl, i don’t take it as serious as it looks. i know what works for me, and i know what i like. it’s self expression to me.

𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐔𝐑𝐄: what’s your favorite fashion trend?

                   𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄: i love a good crop top and jeans moment. i also am obsessed with platform heels right now, the VERSACE MEDUSA AEVITAS got your girl in a headlock.
