Agradece siempre por lo que tienes y algunas veces por lo que has dejado ir.

All I want is a home makeover show without canned jokes, slightly uncomfortable couples, and the rooms looking devoid of trinkets at the end and if How To Build A Sex Room is where I can find that content then so be it

are there any nonproblematic snake content creators youd recommend ?? feels like hell just trying to get some reptile serotonin and then whoop nevermind theyre doing a lot of shit wrong lol
Oof that is genuinely a tough question! I have a list in my pinned of creators I've reviewed on this channel, but even the ones at the top have some caveats to be aware of (for example, I like Clint's Reptiles, but he's supported breeding spider ball pythons in the past).
Here are some creators that I really like and can recommend with zero hesitation:
Lori Torrini. Her YouTube channel is great, both for awesome care and great snake training tips.
Green Room Pythons is another channel I've come to really love and one of my go-tos when I want some cute snake content. This one is great especially for guides for beginners and advocating for non-minamalist keeping.
Not quite snakes, but Dr. Earyn McGee's Instagram (afro_herper) is great, she posts lots of awesome and educational lizard and general herp content.

Listen, I think this is cute. I admit it. I think the “sad beige mom” aesthetic is cute, actually. I like beige. But I am an adult. And this is for kids. This giraffe toy is for kids. And I don’t think that’s good!!
It makes me irrationally angry that some freaking baby out there has this cute toy and has been lied to about giraffes to this extent. You don’t NEED to make a minamalist giraffe!! It can have patterns!!! It’s just a DIFFERENT SHADE of BROWN!! Give the giraffe back his stuff!!!!!! For the sake of the children!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny thought, any chance your grandparents have a tasteful small minamalist statue/decoration of two(straight) adults in an embrace? Like i feel that was a very....its the mid/late 80s and the kids are grown and out of the house decor to have.
I saw one at a flea market yestdrday and it made me remeber that my grandparents had 2 of those
hmm no i don't think so? do you have a picture of the kind of thing they mean?
i think my grandparents might be a bit too old for that as their kids would have been out of the house by 1980!

do you have some favorite things from the y2k era?I've been watching a lot of vhs recordings of tv from around that time so it reminded me of your cmy2k stuff
EXCELLENT QUESTION i'm so crazy about the tech just in general like VHS i have a huge nostalgia bias in favor of but the Y2K era was a huge time of like tech experimentation and VHS was already starting to die out by the year 2000 in favor of DVDs so this is around when you get like, combination VCR/DVD players that have slots for both and it's my favorite shit ever it is so cool to me that instead of just wholesale abandoning the by-then-outdated analog technology the instant something better came along to replace it they were joining analog together with digital it's SO COOL!!!! i just miss analog technology in general especially with how tactile so much of it is, like even a modern TV remote the buttons don't have a satisfying click when you press down on them there's almost no tactile feedback it sucks
but Y2K era tech experimentation in general is so much my favorite shit cuz the latter half of the 90s decade is when home computing got exponentially more accessible to the general public and because of this people start getting computers in their homes AND cell phones are becoming a thing for Everybody not just businessmen who would also have pagers anyway, like this specific period of time (especially due in part to the fact THE NEW MILLENNIUM just sounds futuristic) everyone was generally like "yoooo this is the FUTURE we're going into the FUTURE!!!!!!!!" so you get the Y2K futurism boom everyone making and taking advantage of all this new technology and Especially trying to make the new tech look and feel as futuristic as possible that's why the imac G3 was like that cuz in 1998 blobjects and translucent plastic = The Future
and that goes hand in hand with just blobjects being FUCKING EVERYWHERE i fucking LOOOOVE blobitecture and blobject furniture it's so goddamn cool and weird. like inflatable translucent chairs were a huuuuge thing around this time i remember when i was super little like around 2002-2004 approximately we Had an inflatable chair until we got a cat with claws who popped it. but that was just a normal cool piece of furniture for someone to have!!!! same for like the resurgence of lava lamps. and for that matter the resurgence of a shitton of other 60s/70s design trends cuz it's a similar principle with people thinking This Is Now The Future (back then with the space race and moon landing and civil rights and all) + 30-40 year nostalgia cycles just naturally bringing that shit back into trending but in the 90s it's got a modern cyber spin on it that i'm so crazy about. like 70s supergraphic ultramodern is still so goddamn stylish to me and elements of it are i think present in the majority of any kind of design that involves blobjects, but then you look at something like the corporate gen X cyber style especially examples of interior design or architecture:
Tumblr media
and the shapes are 100% influenced by organic blobby shapes of 60s/70s design but Y2K futurism is so goddamn big on cold kinda liminal feeling futurism as opposed to the bright colorful hippie futurism of 60s/70s, and i think the kinda intentionally-bleak feeling i get looking at a lot of Y2K futurist interior design HAS to be somehow inspired by the wild west that the internet was back then right?? like the Future = Cyberspace that was the whole thing with Y2K futurism, but the internet of the late 90s was still a pretty desolate wasteland that if you don't know how to navigate you'd just get totally lost. and they look at this and go "hell yeah sign me up that's the future i'm lookin forward to" and make all their office buildings and fuckin shoe stores feel cold and alien like that and it's SO FUCKING COOL!!!!!!!! ipod minamalist futurism and the stark white of an apple store have NOTHING on the inherent style of an office waiting room that feels cold just looking at photos of it
also the ambitious shit people tried to do with limited computer graphics especially early 3D video games is so goddamn charming and now that we're caught in a "how many pores can we render on this man's face" feedback loop i don't think is ever gonna be captured again except by people Intentionally trying to evoke nostalgia for the graphics of that period. also early amateur web design ALSO EARLY PROFESSIONAL WEB DESIGN like nowadays every goddamn website looks the exact same but having an intro screen or an enter button or just like a themed UI frame that the whole site fits into AND flash AND early javascript everything was so goddamn experimental and new!!!!
sorry for rambling so much about just general Y2K futurism and experimentation shit i'm also crazy about late 90s synth sounds and midi sequencers. like not cheap fucked up bad midi like everyone makes fun of but GOOD midi like you hear in those playstation D&B jungle mixes there's something that feels so nice and mystical about that era of synth pads ough i need it so bad. don't even get me started on rave flyer influenced graphic design because it's still my favorite shit on earth and i need it soooo bad especially the shit where it's like. intentionally distressed and they tried on purpose to make it look like the printer ink fucked up but it's INTENTIONAL it's everything to me
in conclusion this thing is a soap dish
