Creepin Up The Backstairs
She said, "I'm Rosie"
I said, "I thought you were Lucy"
She said, "No Rosie, I told you so"
Was here with your sister
But she's going out the back
I wanna dance and have fun, y'know
Of all the shitty little places I meet you it's here
And I'm freaking out
I heard you got a brand new name
Selling E's in the dark
But hey it's nothing to shout about
Don't just say yes to tease me
Do your utmost to please me
I don't mean to be sleazy
Being you can't be easy
When you're creepin' up the backstairs
Mother's nightmares
Falling in the front door
My, my
Climbing in the window
Get dressed, let's go
Take your brother's car keys
Bye-bye
Well, I see your yellow fingers
And your crucifix bones
All covered in cellophane
Was there when your best friend said
"Sweetheart, I'm just here to get drunk again"
I wouldn't move if I was you
I wouldn't wanna caught when the lights go out
She said, "You think you're so special"
I said, "Sunshine I'm just just bored, I'm just checkin' out"
Don't just say yes to tease me
Do your utmost to please me
I don't mean to be sleazy
Being you can't be easy
When you're creepin' up the backstairs
Mother's nightmares
Falling in the front door
My, my
Climbing in your window
Get dressed, let's go
Take your brother's car keys
Bye-bye
Don't just say yes to tease me
Do your utmost to please me
I don't mean to be sleazy
Being you can't be easy
When you're creepin' up the backstairs
Mother's nightmares
Falling in the front door
My, my
Climbing in the window
Get dressed, let's go
Take your brother's car keys
Bye-bye
When you're creepin' up the backstairs
Mother's nightmares
Falling in the front door
My, my
Climbing in the window
Get dressed, let's go
Take your brother's car keys
Bye-bye
Album: Costello Music
Writer: John Lawler (Jon Fratelli)
This is generally one of my favourite songs from The Fratellis and just one of my favourite songs in general. It's really good. If you like rock, indie rock or things like that, then I definitely recommend you listening to it. It's got a really cool drum intro that if you listen to it a couple times, you should be able to recognise it pretty fast, and a really good chorus and lyrics.

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Nine.
sorry this is a little bit late.
I definitely want...
Laughing Gas by The Fratellis
played at my wedding, this song has become almost a personality trait for me since it came out in 2018. This song speaks to me in a way very few songs songs have, I would go so far as to say this song has saved my life. I wouldn't marry someone who wouldn't at least let me put this at least in the wedding playlist.
"So, darling, break out the laughing gas
You and I know this joke soon will pass
Give me your last request
And I'll see what I can do
To paint your grey skies blue
Before I pass
That's all I ask
Break out the laughing gas"

Happy 39th Birthday Mince Fratelli.
Real name Gordon McRory, the Scottish Drummer was born 16th May 1983. Gordon McRory is best known by his stage name Mince Fratelli: he is the drummer and backing vocalist in Scottish band The Fratellis.
The band formed in Glasgow in 2004 after Mince and other band members stuck advert sin a windows of record stores in the city. The "Fratelli" pseudonym name came from the criminal family in The Goonies and received their first radio playing in 2005, on central Scotland's Beat 106 (later XFM Scotland, now Capital Scotland) Fratelli means brothers in Italian so I think them taking the surname fits perfectly. I have heard that bassist Barry's mother's maiden name was Fratelli, Barry's actual surname is Wallace, but it really was Fratelli before his mother remarried.
For the drummers out there Mince plays with a Premier Modern Classic (mahogany and bird’s-eye maple and a Ludwig wood snare.
The band have released 6 studio albums, the latest, Half Drunk Under a Full Moon came out in April 2021, having been delayed a bit due to the pandemic, it reached number 12 in the UK and 3 in Scottish charts. Their single Chelsea Daggers is their biggest hit to date and is a great anthem like song.
I’ve chosen another anthem from the lads, a version of the Baccara hit Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, the song was famously adopted by The Scotland football team after they qualified for the UEFA Euro 2020 championships.

The Fratellis - Six Days In June

It's good to see that this wonderful Scottish trio are still producing great music. The Fratellis are Jon Fratelli (Vocals/Guitar), Mince Fratelli (Drums/Vocals) and Barry Fratelli (Bass/Shouting).

From Anons...
I debated posting these, but eventually it will become more and more public, so I figured a preemptive move was best. I woke up to these two Anons regarding Cait's fiance, Tony McGill's bar in London called The Library 👇
So I did a quick Google search of Anthony McGill (Tony is obviously short for Anthony), and The Library pub, and immediately found a public document 👇
So, Anons are correct in stating that Tony is transferring his lease of The Library property to a different company, which is going to turn the multi-story building into a backpacker hostel.
And before I get any haters coming at me, this info is READILY and PUBLICLY available and it took a quick Google search to find it, which is how the Anons found it in the first place. Anyhoo...
Then Tony makes his own public statement 👇
It is CLEAR from Tony’s OWN WORDS that he is not a personal assistant hahaha. There goes that lame theory, Extreme Shippers.
As I have stated over and over again, not only has Tony been a bar/music venue manager for years, he has also worked as a band manager, most famously, with the Scottish band, The Fratellis 👇

More info regarding Tony when he managed The Fratellis 👇
“Later, the Fratellis provoke the same reaction from their Dutch audience as they would from a British crowd: it's all unbridled dancing, singalongs and a sweaty sense of fraternity. The band's manager, Tony McGill, watches with me. Chelsea Dagger, of course, spurs the place into a frenzy of churning hands and feet, and McGill is shouting. It's hard to hear him, but he's saying something about the tune having been used as the theme to a Dutch TV show. Which seems about right. Pop like this is universal, and the Fratellis have earned their place in the pantheon of British groups who move crowds by hitting them with songs that they'll be singing all the way home.”

And here is info regarding the opening of The Library way back in 2008 👇
“Whilst down in London the boys found the time to DJ at the opening of The Library, a new London venue run by their manager Tony McGill, ‘The Union Chapel gig was amazing, it’s really cool to see how some of the songs worked stripped down. Then something like the Library is completely different, it’s a cool little place, It was a fun way to finish off the night. It’s more of Tonys deal and obviously it’s down in London, so it takes a flight down, but if there’s a good night on I’ll make the trip.”

As you can see, Tony has been running The Library pub for over 10 YEARS. That’s a lifetime when it comes to pubs/ bars. It is a very hard business and most don’t last past a year. So, just because after ten years, Tony is deciding to transfer his lease, etc, DOES NOT MAKE HIM A FAILURE, like Extreme Shippers like to say.
The REALITY is: Tony continues to own Numb Music, a production company, he managed The Fratellis for years, and he managed The Library pub, and later added The Reading Room live music venue, and managed those for years as well. Giving up the lease on The Library does not mean he will now be unemployed--anyone with half a brain can figure out that Tony is a smart businessman and already has other ventures on the horizon.
And, as I have said ad nauseam, the one and only formidable, Caitriona Balfe, WOULD NOT pick a loser for her life partner. Tony McGill is the clever, creative, hot Scot she has chosen--he must be a very special man. I hope Tait-Tony and Cait have a lifetime of happiness together.
So, oh frothy ones, gnash all you want and fool yourselves into thinking that this means Tony has gone bust, but rest assured, soon, very soon, we will all find out the next successful venture Tony is involved in, and you’ll have to choke on that crow again.
Until next time, my rabid pets...

Now for a song that I think is severely underrated and is fucking amazing and incredible and I think you should all go and listen to right now.
Fucking listen to it right now. This is an order slowly turning into a threat.
