Lila Rossi was so hilarious in this batch of episodes actually. She's somehow living multiple lives as the daughter of completely different mothers. I don't even know which one is her real mother and I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't either. She convinced Alya that Marinette (and by extension Ladybug) was Monarch. She tried to pull "Oh, Marinette hates me for no reason, pity me" on Kagami but she just did not care so she had to add "Oh also Marinette lied to you." She called Gabriel and dropped really obvious hints that she knew he was Monarch and he didn't pick up on any of it. She demanded to be invited to his senticult party and he fired her so now she has beef with this terminally ill fashion designer because he won't pay attention to her. She got everyone to agree to hold another vote for class representative and then she conceded the win to Marinette, only to win anyway. There are two weeks left before they all graduate. She put Chloe on a leash as her deputy and I'm pretty sure it's just to make her mad. She brainwashed Nathalie into believing Gabriel was an alien so she'd text her embarrassing pictures of him as a teenager.

They be like, “Félix harassed Ladybug, he can’t be redeemed!” 🤪 I don’t know which is more fascinating, A) the fact that an abused 14 year old kid willing to change can’t change anymore, sorry, too late now, you stop developing your brain at 13, or B) the implicit belief that his failed, punch earning attempt to kiss Ladybug is the worst crime he has ever committed, and not, you know, the whole ending the entire human race thing. Did Felix constantly push Adrien under the bus in order to secure his own safety and freedom throughout S3 and S4? Yes.

Did he do all of this with the understanding that this short-term damage wouldn’t matter in the long run, because he always planned on coming back for him? Also yes.

A lot of the criticism I’m seeing against his arc recently seems to spark from people not sharing the same experiences he had, of being abused and isolated from his sibling cousin. And while that’s absolutely fine (good for you, that should be the norm), his story actually makes a lot of sense to a lot of people. It’s different from the abuse narratives we’re used to seeing onscreen, with victim profiles that are closer to Adrien and Kagami — people we’re supposed to be rooting for since the very beginning — but it is SO well done and realistic and nuanced I’m actually surprised to be getting this from Miraculous of all shows.

It’s not that Felix’s characterisation changed after Emotion. It’s that we’re finally starting to see the full picture.
