Want to know how to get an insane pump while keto? Here's how! 👇🏻. . Lifting while keto (and especially while in a calorie deficit) can make it harder to get a good "pump" since your muscles are holding less glycogen. That means less intracellular fluid in the muscles since glycogen attracts water. Here is how to get the most intense pump you have ever had while keto. . Take these about 30-40 minutes pre-workout: . 🔸6g - 8g Citrulline Malate - not L-Citrulline... Citrulline Malate! This type of Citrulline includes malic acid which helps to boost performance, increase blood flow (which brings more oxygen and nutrients to the muscle). 🔸10g - 15g Glycerin (aka Glycerol) - vegetable glycerin is a type of sugar alcohol that is very low glycemic (glycemic index of 5, less than xylitol) but it increases blood plasma volume when ingested. Higher volume means extra vascularity and full muscles. Don't go overboard, though. High doses can produce laxative effect. 🔸.5g - 1.5g Sodium - Extra blood volume and intracellular fluid resulting in better performance, endurance, vascularity, and muscle fullness. 🔸 Water! - The fluid for the pump has to come from somewhere. 😁 Drink plenty of water before AND during your workout. 🔸@genucan - Super low glycemic supercarb. Ok, you insisted on hopping on the scale the day after you enjoyed your free choice meal or a dinner with family.....(which I HIGHLY discourage, by the way) and now the scale is your enemy & you're depressed because the # increased! Hold up, wait a minute, relax your undies and put down the #detoxtea and #slimtea for a minute! ⤵ You need to read this post by friend, @myoleanfitness, 1st before you take DRASTIC action, ok. 💥 If you've gained weight, it's probably because of one of two reasons: . 1. You've gained fat because you have consistently been in an energy surplus (eating more than your body is burning), 2. You've put on water weight, likely because of an increase in glycogen stores(primarily from eating more carbs), which is composed of 3-4 parts of water. Ok, relax, step away from the scale, eat at a caloric deficit today and if you ate more carbs yesterday, eat lower carbs & higher fat today...alternate this every few days, then if you just have to...check your weight & measurements at week's end or in another week! The truth is we can't control where our fat goes away first, we can just decrease the overall amount. Also a lot of people think that cardio is better for loosing fat than strength training. Although it may be true for the short term, but building muscle will increase your calories burned at rest in the long term significantly. That means that your muscle mass will burn calories for you while you do nothing. "Will white rice make me fat" was something I heard lately. The answer is a clear NO. White rice is a popular source of carbs and it won't make you fat. No food in particular will make you fat. Only eating more calories than you burn (caloric surplus) does.
