Dua for the Protection of your children

The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to seek Allah’s protection for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain (Radi Allahu anhu) by saying

أُعيـذُكُمـا بِكَلِـماتِ اللهِ التّـامَّة، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْـطانٍ وَهـامَّة، وَمِنْ كُـلِّ عَـيْنٍ لامَّـة

I seek protection for you in the Perfect Words of Allah from every devil and every beast, and from every envious blameworthy eye.

U’eethukumaa bikalimaatil-laahit-taammati min kulli shaytaanin wa haammatin, wa min kulli ‘aynin laammatin.

Salaam, I hope this finds you in a place of peace, I wanted to request something as I know the power of duaa through my experiences, I wanted to ask if it’s ok if you can make duaa for me and my loved one, I am trying to marry someone and we both have the intention of marrying eachother and have been praying for eachother and he is waiting for me to speak to my parents but I don’t know how to approach my parents, I would be so happy if you can make duaa that Allah swt opens doors for us to get married and blesses us with a happy marriage in our khair, we want both of our families to be happy with it and our parents blessings.. I know this may be a big of a request but I am desperate for this duaa because I’ve never felt so content and at peace with so much desire to have my nikkah done

وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته

I will pray for you both. May your prayers be accepted by Allāh in the most beautiful way, granting you peace and satisfaction, Aameen. Please do seek guidance through the Istikharah prayer and make sincere duās.

If you are a man, it is essential to approach the woman's parents or her mahram to express your desire for marriage. This involves actively engaging your parents and her parents or her mahram in the process to establish a formal and respectable union.

If you are a woman, similarly, it is crucial to discuss your intentions with your parents and request your parents or mahram to initiate conversations with his mahram. Remember, true blessings arise from actions aligned with Islamic principles.

Delaying Nikah and engaging in an unIslamic relationship can lead to negative consequences rather than the happiness you seek. Therefore, it is imperative to take proactive steps towards a Nikkah that is blessed by Allāh.

Avoid actions that may upset or anger Allāh. Strive to establish a union that is founded on mutual respect, Islamic values, and most importantly Allāh's blessings.

Marry someone who will encourage you, elevate your Imaan and most importantly, bring you closer to Allah. If someone really loves you, he or she will remind you of Allah and your ibadah. When i get married I want to memorize the qur’an with my wife, I want us to take each other to Jannah (paradise), but I don’t want her to be the reason why I lower my gaze, I don’t want her to be the reason why I refrain from shaking another woman’s hand, I don’t want her to be the reason why I do not commit an impure act, I don’t want whats meant to come from me come through me cause of her, I don’t want her to be the reason behind the pureness of my intentions because after all I’d only be doing it for her sake not Allah’s. I don’t want us to rely but rather support each other.

Last but not least, let’s make small du’a “Ya Allah bless us with a righteous Spouse who will increase our imaan and make us closer to you”. Don’t forget to say Aameen.
