thanks @racingmuppett for the incredible lore post about blue hair vale where vale is talking about being mesmerised by a cool blue hair (lesbian) girl in a movie and wanting to be just like her!
I've found the interview "Why did u dye your hair blue?"
Translation (I tried lol)
< I’ve dyed my hair blue … most importantly I’ve cut my hair short! I’ve cut my hair short because I’ve been wanting to cut it short for a year … and then it was a bet I had with two or three friends and we all cut our hair short.
Then dyeing it …it’s something you can do … it’s something a little bit crazy, funny. Also winning the world championship is not something that happens often, it happens a few times, so it was worth it!
And then why blue, why the colour blue … because I saw a movie, 'Nirvana', a while ago and there’s the girl, the main character, with all blue hair … and the hair was so nice.
So when I was watching the movie I told my mom: “I’m gonna dye my hair blue”
“I’m not gonna let you enter the house like that” *he’s imitating his mom joking*
Now that I’ve done it she didn’t say anything … because if I cut it now, it’s not gonna grow back blue forever anyway >

would you be willing to rec books that have voyeurism in them?
Sure! This list includes voyeurism that involves the hero and/or the heroine but not necessarily both, and they may be watching other people while getting off on it.
Historical:
The Recruit by Monica McCarty: Mary watches Kenneth have sex with another woman in the stables after wandering in thinking a horse was in distress. Kenneth notices her and puts on a bit of a show.
Her Wanton Wager by Grace Callaway: Percy watches couples getting off through a peephole in Hunt's club, and when Hunt catches her she's sadly contemplating that she'll never be a good girl, but Hunt is like "HELL YEAH YOU AREN'T" and goes to town on her. Truly an affirming scene.
The Duke Who Knew Too Much by Grace Callaway: Ft. some unwitting as well as witting(?) voyeurism; the unwitting bit is when Emma accidentally happens upon some light CNC between the hero Alaric and his mistress at the time; the more purposeful voyeurism is when Alaric kidnaps Emma and takes her to a sex club to observe BDSM scenes to make her understand what he was doing with his mistress and then they make out.
The Prince of Broadway by Joanna Shupe: We love a good peephole scene; this one takes place during a police raid and Clay and Florence are in a tunnel and happen upon a couple having sex through a partition. Flo makes Clay turn around and they both masturbate to it.
The Bride Goes Rogue by Joanna Shupe: Katherine watches Preston masturbate in the French Ball scene, and later on, he watches her masturbate in front of him in a carriage.
His Countess by S.M. LaViolette: Gideon brings two prostitutes to his new estate and the widow of the last earl, Alys, watches them go at it (with snacks) for multiple nights and he is very aware of this and puts on a show.
You'll find voyeurism in most of the books in LaViolette's Victorian Decadence series, but this is the one that stood out to me.
Contemporary:
Praise by Sara Cate: There's a great scene during the opening of the kink club where Charlie and Emerson are in a dark room watching a couple having sex through the window and he fingers her while they watch.
Eyes on Me by Sara Cate: This book is allll about voyeurism; from what I remember, Garrett hasn't had sex in a decade but he has done plenty of watching. The heroine, his stepsister Mia, is a cam girl on not!OnlyFans and he's a regular viewer. Later on, there's plenty of great exhibitionism scenes as well set in the club.
Give Me More by Sara Cate: Hunter's original fantasy is to watch Drake with his wife Isabel, and this does happen a few times initially (in a kink club, and during a "there was only one bed" hotel room sitch).
When Heroes Fall by Giana Darling: There's this really hot scene where Elena watches Dante jerk off through a crack in his bedroom door, and he calls her name out when he orgasms.
The Professional by Kresley Cole: When Sevastyan first breaks into Natalie's home to kidnap her, he watches her masturbate in the bathtub before he drags her out of there lol. Later on when they're in Paris, he routinely watches her masturbate on security cameras and storms home while she's calmly giving a show.
Only For A Night by Naima Simone: Another sex club voyeurism scene; Rion gets Harper off in the voyeurism room in his aphrodisiac club while they watch another couple through the glass.
Neon Gods by Katee Robert: One of the earlier sex scenes involves Hades and Persephone in a shadowy corner of his in-house kink club and getting off while they watch another couple perform a scene.
A Worthy Opponent by Katee Robert also has some voyeurism stuff from what I remember since it's based around the kink club Hades and Meg run.

In the south of Fialam, all units of guards and the military have been disturbed. A young Leaf girl, Phyllis Anwar, has gone missing. Disappeared without a trace, three months after her third birth. The boy was named Metin, the girl Oda. Ahmet entrusted both of them to the care of alkha and concubines, and he himself ordered soldiers to comb every village in En Merida. Phyllis was nowhere to be found. Only the merchant at the jeweler's shop confessed that the listrica had come to him to buy gold rings and necklaces.
Trouble! - Althan Anwar said bitterly as he and Achmet went out into the street. - She paid with this for the journey. Ahmet's face darkened and he turned sharply to his younger brother.
Do you know something about this?!
Ah, oops.
Tell me. Tell me, or I'll charge you with kidnapping my wife and lock you in a dungeon. It was either Ahmet's look of seriousness or Altan's shame, but he sighed and confessed:
When she came out of the house, I woke up abruptly. I wanted to catch up with her, bring her back, but I was sleepy. She was as fast as a mountain doe. That wagon had rushed off to the capital.
She is a doe," said Ahmet angrily. - And you are a donkey, my dear brother. Now you will go with our men to Wetamia to look for my wife. Because I will not trust you to govern En Merid.
Phyllis returned to the convent of St. Nuo. Here lived four women who had left their families. Naima is the youngest of them all. Barely leaving the chariot and paying in gold, Phyllis fell into her friend's arms.
Nuo! - the girl shouted so loudly that she nearly deafened Lily Kowal. - I want to take the nunhood!
When the southern soldiers arrived at the gates of the holy cloister and demanded to see Anwar's listirk hiding within these walls, old Nuo told them that the listirk was not here, and only nuns lived here.

Wow just WOW thank you to the cast and crew of Seal Team for a wonderful season finale!
Yes I know people are still upset about Clay’s death but realistically I understand Max couldn’t star on two shows at the same time so Clay being written off was in the cards (still would have preferred Stella’s dream life for them but like Mick Jagger said ‘you can’t always get what you want’).
So the big conspiracy for Mail wasn’t a double agent or anything that evil. It was a lazy Lt. Colonel who didn’t change the radio frequencies when he was supposed to and the cover up was to cover one of their own’s ass.
This episode was a beautiful thank you to Max and set up some great storylines for Season 7 starting with at the medal ceremony when Jason announced that he had TBI, Sonny decking that colonel, Jason going before the brass above his declaration, and his brothers joining him starting with Ray and him admitting he is suffering with PTS.
Then when all the other Seal Team members come in to disclose their medical issues. What a wonderful tribute to Clay!!!
Will Sonny be charged for assaulting that Colonel? What will the brass do now that so many of their operators spoke up? Will Ray really retire? What will happen at Spencer House and how much do I love that they renamed the center after Clay.
As usual David and Neil hit for the cycle and ran the fucking bases like nobody business in this episode!!! I still don’t see how these two haven’t been nominated for Emmys and their performances on this show!!
Loved the scene with Alona and David too. Jason needed to hear Stella and she wasn’t backing down either. That was the one thing she could do for her husband…to help his brother.
The recurring characters obviously don’t get as much screen time as the regulars but my god what they do with those scenes!! Yes, I’m a huge fan of Alona’s but what she was able to convey in those short scenes shows what a wonderful character actor she has grown into.
Alona and Parisa are so amazing as Stella and Naima! Sadly I’m guessing this was Alona’s farewell episode even if the show is renewed.
Anyway I keeping my fingers crossed for a season 7!!

#girl_bride [introductory episode]
A thirteen-year-old girl sitting in a wedding dress on her period suddenly started her period. Naeema started moaning with her hand on her stomach due to the unbearable pain of her period. Tears are falling from Naima's eyes. The girl can't say anything to anyone. Naima saw this situation and her mother Shiuli Begum came forward. Shiuli put her hand on Begum Naima's head and said - What happened to you, mother? Everyone is sitting in front of Naeema so Naeema tries to bear the pain by pressing her lips with hers without answering. Shiuli Begum can understand the matter. He goes to another room with Naeema. Shiuli said to Begum Naima in the house - what happened to you? Then Naima said - Mom my period has started. Abdominal pain. I can't marry like this. You try to understand a little. Shiuli Begum understands the matter but she has nothing to do. He cannot break the marriage even if he wants to. Suddenly, the bridegroom is heard. Naima was shocked to hear that the groom had arrived. Fear entered his mind. Naima said to her mother while crying - Mom, please break the marriage. I can't get married in this condition. At that time Naima's father Mizan Sahib came home. Mr. Mizan came home and saw Naima crying. Then Mr. Mizan came towards Naima and said -- the real address of Murray girls is his father-in-law's house. All girls have to accept it. Mr. Mizan did not understand the real incident. Naima is unable to say anything to her father. He will tell his father what happened to him. Then Shiuli Begum went to another room with Mizan Sahib and told him everything. Mr. Mizan was surprised to hear such words. But he does not understand what can be done. Mr. Mizan sat on the chair and thought for a long time. And if the marriage is broken now, then no one will marry Naima. Everyone will think that Naima has some problem. And different people will say different things. So Mizan Sahib left all thoughts and said to his wife -- Tell your daughter to prepare for marriage. Saying this, Mr. Mizan left. Shiuli Begum was not at all surprised by her husband's behavior because she knew. Mizan Sahib does what he says. Then Shiuli Begum went to Naima's room. Seen on the other side. Naima's future husband Rakib is coming to Naima's house with the bridegroom. Mizan sahib brought everyone and seated them inside the pendle. Rakib was not ready for this marriage at all. In other words, she is being forcefully married. Rakib's parents are forcefully marrying him off. Mr. Mizan introduced himself by talking to everyone. On this side, Naima's mother came to her room and saw Naima sitting. Naima saw her mother and said - What did mom and dad say? Did the marriage break up? Shiuli Begum said - No, mother, you know your father, he is a man of one word. Whatever happens, he will not waver from his words.
Mother, why do you want to marry me so soon? Have I become too boring to you? Anna is now studying age, how can I manage a family at this age? Don't tell father to break the marriage, I don't want to marry this mother. This state of bringing this direction again. How do I tell this to another person, mother? Please do something. -- What else can I do? Don't worry everything will be fine
Mother, do something, you killed me. I don't feel like this anymore. I understand that you want to chase me, right? How do I tell a stranger after marriage? He has full rights over me. I have a crush on him though. But if he wants I can do it. He will not understand the unbearable pain of another girl. He will satisfy his hunger. In this, my life will be like going out, mother I am already too young. How can I handle so much? Suddenly Shiuli Begum was called by her husband. He got up and left. Naima sits alone in the room. The girl started crying uncontrollably. Naima has realized that it is not possible to stop her marriage. She has to marry her husband at this young age. Shiuli Begum went to Mizan Saheb and said -- The girl is crying a lot. The girl is already very young and now this is the situation. -- Nothing to do. The groom is coming. No one can understand anything. Get the girl ready and come quickly. The groom is waiting. There is no point in wasting time, go and bring Naima. Saying this, Mr. Mizan left. After a while, he came inside Pendel with Naima. Naima is very well decorated. The little girl looks amazingly beautiful. Naima was brought and seated next to Rakib. Enduring the unbearable pain of period. After a while, Naima puts her hand on her stomach. Then they got married according to Islamic rules. After all the wedding work is over, it is time to bid farewell to the corner. Naima hugged her mother and started crying. Shiuli Begum consoled her daughter and said, "Mom, don't cry." Come when you remember us. This is the rule, the real address of all girls after marriage is her husband's house. I was also a girl from another house before. I will see after a few days everything will be fine. Then Mizan Sahib handed over Naima to Rakib and said - Father Naima is my only daughter. You watch him. Saying this, Mizan Sahib's eyes started to water. Naima hugged her father and started crying. After some time Naeema left for her father-in-law's house. Reached Rakib's house in thirty minutes. It was night. The car reached 12 midnight but Rakib still did not come home. Naima is sitting alone in a room.
About an hour passed, Naima was brought to the house and sat down. But Rakib's hope has no name. On this side, Naima's mind is sitting with the fear of the unknown and the unbearable pain of the period. The body doesn't feel good either. There was not so much fear in mind. If the body was not good. The fear is increasing gradually. a stranger He has full rights over me. If he wants I can do it. He will not understand the unbearable pain of another girl. He will satisfy his hunger. In that my life will be like going out. Naima's fear is increasing as she thinks about these things. Suddenly hearing someone's voice of hope, Rakib is coming. Hearing the sound of the door, Naima's chest trembled. His whole body trembled with fear. At last Rakib entered the living room after all the waiting. will continue

Behind The Scenes...
Tumblr media
Solaire House, Del Sol Valley, 8:07a
Tumblr media
Asst. Naima: ...and then we have you scheduled to give away the prizes at a county fair- produce, scholarship program, and of course a pie eating contest.
President Harrison Mitchell: Ooh, can I enter?
First Lady Hazel Mitchell: You don't need to enter a contest to get pie, my love.
President Mitchell: I guess I'm not used to this life of luxury yet, my dear.
First Lady Hazel: And there's time for the President and I to be at Jay's basketball game tonight?
President Mitchell: That's very important to me, to keep my schedule open for my children. I didn't run as a family man just to neglect them.
Tumblr media
Asst. Derek: Of course, Sir.
Asst. Salma: Excuse me, Sir, I think you need to see this now.
President Mitchell: What is it?
Asst. Salma: A letter, Sir, from the Tsarina of the Simsdom Empire.
Tumblr media
President Mitchell: Is that… Usual?
Asst. Salma: No Sir. The Empire has always been neutral with Del Sol- we have a trade agreement but nothing more.
President Mitchell: So this is… Serious. What does it say?
Asst. Salma: She begins by congratulating you on your recent election-
President Mitchell: How kind of her.
Tumblr media
Asst. Salma: She then goes on to express that she understands this sort of communication is out of the ordinary for the relationship our two nations have, but she feels it important that you're kept aware.
President Mitchell: Go on...
Asst. Salma: Apparently, the Kingdom of Windenburg is provoking a war with the Empire and her allies.
Tumblr media
President Mitchell: The Simsdom Empire is ten times as large and wealthy as Del Sol- is she asking for aid?
Asst. Salma: No Sir, she seeks only to warn you. Due to Del Sol's position on the coast, sandwiched between two of her allies- Oasis Springs and Willow Creek- she worries that you may be caught in the crossfires. She emphasizes that she does not ask you to pick a side, only that she wanted to warn you, as a friendly gesture.
Tumblr media
President Mitchell: 'Friendly gesture' huh? Do we have intelligence on this? Derek?
Asst. Derek: There has been some rumblings of unrest in the West, sir, but we felt it wasn't relevant to your campaign, so it was pushed to the back burner.
President Mitchell: Bring it to the front burner then. I want to know everything possible about this impending war before I respond to the Empress. I will not be caught up in an unnecessary war within my first year of the presidency.
Tumblr media
First Lady: Well said, my love.
Asst. Derek: Yes Sir.

So, this happened. Which is cool, I'm glad for the exposure this provided Black farmers in our area.
Few things. The paper got Naima Penniman's name wrong. The picture does not include Farmer James, who had a lot to say and a lot that needed to be heard. My eyes are closed in the picture and the person most in focus is our (very awesome) white facilitator.
Also, the bill I referenced was about more than outdoor farming but also specifically around outdoor cultivation of cannabis.
I spoke on VT state Bill H549. If they start there, they will continue to other farming operations that "offend sensibilities". The Bill is an impingement on the right of people to be self-sufficient and make a living.
"Two state representatives, Karen Dolan, D-Essex City, and Lori Houghton, D-Essex Junction, have introduced a bill, H.549, which would prohibit outdoor cannabis cultivation in densely populated areas that are served by municipal water and sewer and have 500 or more persons per square mile" -- from a different vtdigger article than below.
I invite improved editorial involvement in the Montpelier Bridge, including fact-checks and proofreading.
That said, thank you to my fellow farmers, the organizers of the Green Mountain Film Festival, everyone who came to see the documentary "Farming While Black" and those who were able to attend the panel! Amazing experience.

Read-Alike Friday: The Poet's House by Jean Thompson
The Poet's House by Jean Thompson
Carla is stuck. In her twenties and working for a landscaper, she’s been told she’s on the wrong path by everyone—from her mom, who wants her to work at the hospital, to her boyfriend, who is dropping not-so-subtle hints that she should be doing something that matters.
Then she is hired for a job at the home of Viridian, a lauded and lovely aging poet who introduces Carla to an eccentric circle of writers. At first she is perplexed by their predilection for reciting lines in conversation, the stories of their many liaisons, their endless wine-soaked nights. Soon, though, she becomes enamored with this entire world: with Viridian, whose reputation has been defined by her infamous affair with a male poet, Mathias; with Viridian’s circle; and especially with the power of words, the “ache and hunger that can both be awakened and soothed by a poem,” a hunger that Carla feels sharply. When a fight emerges over a vital cache of poems that Mathias wrote about Viridian, Carla gets drawn in. But how much will she sacrifice for a group that may or may not see her as one of their own?
Groundskeeping by Lee Cole
In the run-up to the 2016 election, Owen Callahan, an aspiring writer, moves back to Kentucky to live with his Trump-supporting uncle and grandfather. Eager to clean up his act after wasting time and potential in his early twenties, he takes a job as a groundskeeper at a small local college, in exchange for which he is permitted to take a writing course.
Here he meets Alma Hazdic, a writer in residence who seems to have everything Owen lacks--a prestigious position, an Ivy League education, success as a writer. They begin a secret relationship, and as they grow closer, Alma--who comes from a liberal family of Bosnian immigrants--struggles to understand Owen's fraught relationship with family and home.
Halsey Street by Naima Coster
Penelope Grand has scrapped her failed career as an artist in Pittsburgh and moved back to Brooklyn to keep an eye on her ailing father. She’s accepted that her future won’t be what she’d dreamed, but now, as gentrification has completely reshaped her old neighborhood, even her past is unrecognizable. Old haunts have been razed, and wealthy white strangers have replaced every familiar face in Bed-Stuy. Even her mother, Mirella, has abandoned the family to reclaim her roots in the Dominican Republic. That took courage. It’s also unforgivable.
When Penelope moves into the attic apartment of the affluent Harpers, she thinks she’s found a semblance of family—and maybe even love. But her world is upended again when she receives a postcard from Mirella asking for reconciliation. As old wounds are reopened, and secrets revealed, a journey across an ocean of sacrifice and self-discovery begins.
Costalegre by Courtney Maum
It is 1937, and Europe is on the brink of war. In the haute-bohemian circles of Austria, Germany, and Paris, Hitler is circulating a most-wanted list of “cultural degenerates”—artists, writers, and thinkers whose work is deemed antithetical to the new regime.  To prevent the destruction of her favorite art (and artists), the impetuous American heiress and modern art collector, Leonora Calaway, begins chartering boats and planes for an elite group of surrealists to Costalegre, a mysterious resort in the Mexican jungle, where she has a home.
The story of what happens to these artists when they reach their destination is told from the point of view of Lara, Leonora’s neglected 15-year-old daughter, who has been pulled out of school to follow her mother to Mexico. Forced from a young age to cohabit with her mother’s eccentric whims, tortured lovers, and entourage of gold-diggers, Lara suffers from emotional, educational, and geographical instability that a Mexican sojourn with surrealists isn’t going to help. But when she meets the outcast Dadaist sculptor Jack Klinger, a much older man who has already been living in Costalegre for some time, Lara thinks she might have found the love and understanding she so badly craves.
