Trixie’s something blue is unique, special and very personal. A gift of love that represents the life and work of Nonnatus and Trixie’s part in it. (12.8)
My latest post on AO3 is not a fic but an overview of labor statistics for Call the Midwife Series 1-12. You can get a quick look at the mums, birth locations, if it was on screen, nurses/doctors present, baby number and gender, and any other medical notes. I was doing this for my own fic writing but thought I would share for any others who might find it helpful.
Turner is definitely the leader in trials, and his fate is "to shield them, protect them" but death gets in the way
Pierson is still the hard-headed TSGT we know and love, but he does show more compassion and is willing to sacrifice himself for the others
Zussman is their medic still, he knows how to patch them up better than anyone. He and Aiello often steal from realms (the Entity can't do shit, it knows those two dumbasses are just going to keep doing it)
Daniels holds them together, along with Zussman, keeps them motivated and reminds them that there is an escape, they just have to work together
Aiello can still be a pessimistic bastard but he puts in the effort to be a reliable team player since this situation is completely different
Stiles is still our nervous college student, he tries to take photographs of the realms and their moments in trial but the Entity's realm always deletes those captured moments. It doesn't bother him, he still tries.
Nancy is definitely the overprotective mama bear– a killer chasing you? Hide behind her as she charges at the killer head on, never going down without a fight (about half of the killers are scared of her)
Rousseau doesn't question life anymore, she takes it as her fate of being trapped in some endless loop against killers. It's fine, as long as she has Crowley and Vivian and 1st Platoon, she'll be entertained.
Crowley tries using intelligence for everything, trying to find ways to complete generators quicker, outsmart all the killers, find a way to escape this shitty purgatory– you name it, this man thinks with his brain and does get many things some efficiently
Vivian is the opposite of Crowley, she rather fight those motherfuckers headstrong then sit back and think of a plan– that's what she did most of the war and got a few good kills at those Krauts– this girl has a lot of pent of energy
Howard is their mechanic, he's best at repairing generates quick, sabotaging hooks, he has the strange ability to reuse fallen pallets, they trust this man to get them out alive and he doesn't disappoint
Perez likes explosions, so he has the strange ability to make explosions out of random objects within the realm and distract or stun the killer. He also boosts motivation in the team, often heard giving motivating speeches
Call The Midwife’s 2023 Christmas Special begins two weeks before Christmas, with Apollo 8 poised to circle the moon.
Sister Monica Joan (Judy Parfitt) is convinced this could be her final Yuletide and decides she’ll not live to see man walk on the moon. The Nonnatus Family, including Trixie’s (Helen George) brother Geoffrey (Christopher Harper), decide something must be done to try and lighten her state of mind. Nancy (Megan Cusack) has recommitted to staying at Nonnatus House and Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter) has offered her and Colette (Francesca Fullilove) a room for the foreseeable future. Trixie and Matthew (Olly Rix), fresh from their honeymoon, are preparing their first Christmas together as husband and wife when Geoffrey pays them an unexpected visit days before Christmas. Cyril (Zephryn Taitte) gently intervenes when he discovers a lost soul living alone in a dilapidated basement flat. For this man, Christmas is a reminder of all he’s lost and all he’s never had. Nurse Crane (Linda Bassett), away on her refresher course, makes it home in time for Christmas festivities despite a treacherously heavy snowfall.
Call The Midwife (1x90) is a Neal Street Productions for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Executive producers for Neal Street Productions are Pippa Harris, Heidi Thomas and Ann Tricklebank, with Gaynor Holmes for the BBC.

fandoms i'll mostly write for:
- scream

my blog will contain dark material like noncon or dubcon. please know that this is strictly a fantasy and i DO NOT and WILL NEVER stand for actual sexual assault.
i am aware that there is a lot of controversy surrounding minors writing smut and i totally get that. but there is nothing anyone on here can do to really make me want to stop. writing is how i've coped since i was a kid and now i'd just like other people to enjoy my stuff as well.
if you do not feel comfortable with my content, my age, or just my blog in general, that's ok! just please block and don't report.
i will probably make a masterlist when i actually publish fics.
Moon landing !! Loved that so nice seeing Sister Monica Joan bursting with pure happiness.
TB … that poor family didn’t expect the death not going to lie. Yet no mention of the turners when it came to Shelagh and her Tb. I wasn’t that surprised because CtM and continuity aren’t exactly a match made in heaven
Nancy.. I’m glad she got what I’m hoping is some closure for her. Not knowing what has happened to you family must be hard and that just have helped with her grief process. Her protecting Collette at the end is totally understandable and justified and I’m pleased she got that beautiful storyline. But I feel it could have been tied into Shelaghs time with TB.
The Pupil midwives … that must have been hard for Joyce to come forward and tell the facts of what happened. The act of “telling on” other staff is still an issue the NHS faces today as well as many other workforces but she done the right thing. Although personally I would have called out Trixie before the events happened. Leaving to take a phone call for a start and then for clearly rushing.
Trixie … I’m taking her separately because I really felt for her this episode. Midwives make mistakes and it’s a horrible feeling knowing you have caused harm on a mother and that it could have been avoided.
Trixie and Matthew… I’m not willing to comment really. Because my blood is actually boiling. With the rumours of Olly Rix leaving the show I wonder if they are trying to make him unlikable so we don’t care if he ends up leaving. However he had no right expecting that of Trixie. CtM has showed the great changes in married women in the workforce way back from Chimmy continuing to work to Shelagh and now Trixie. Chummy and Shelagh did adapt how they worked because anyone with kids will tell you that you can’t go back to working the same way you did before kids. I feel Trixie would have had to do the exact same and shifts like on call and night shifts aren’t always as feasible for people who have family commitments and kids. But still if anyone can make it work it’s Trixie but only if Matthew allows.
