A short drabble of Will & the Apollo kids + a sprinkle of angst
PROMPT: Michael,Lee and the other apollo campers realizing the new tiny blonde kid in the hermes cabin is the son of the Naomi Solace and freaking out.
(A/N: I very loosely followed the prompt in the end)
It wasn’t surprising when the new camper, a small blonde boy with blue eyes, named Will Solace ended up in the infirmary. The first time Lee had treated Will he had been walked in by Maron, a satyr Lee knew brought back tons of demigods, covered in marks from where Stymphalian birds had attacked him. At the time, Will hadn’t said much to him, or anyone else, but he listened well. “It’s nothing too bad. Here,” Lee placed a small piece of ambrosia in Will’s hand with a gentle smile, “this will help you feel better. Just eat that and you’ll be feeling as good as new in no time.” Lee ruffled Will’s hair and walked over to check on a nasty cut that Sherman Yang of the Ares Cabin had gotten during training.
That had been two weeks ago. Will remained unclaimed by his godly parent, while it was disappointing (but unsurprising), several campers including Michael Yew did their best to cheer him up. Hermes and Apollo were at archery together, a new concept that Chiron had suggested. While two different cabins were put together for activities, all of the campers knew the real hope was that the Gods would find promise in one of their unclaimed children during an activity and claim them.
As it turned out, Will was better than other campers with a bow and arrow, though just barely above bar by Apollo standards. Michael found himself drifting over to the boy to help him more and more throughout the session. “You're stance is good, but you need to work on focusing your aim at your target. Why don't you try setting the bow down and throwing the arrow to see if that helps?” He suggested.
Will let out a huff of air and kicked at the ground beneath his feet. “What if I'm just really bad? I'm not even good at holding a sword!” His voice wavered with emotion as his eyes welled with tears. Michael couldn't help but feel bad for him. Unlike most campers, he had been claimed his first day after shooting an apple off of Luke Castellan's head. (If asked, he would swear it was an accident, but some other campers seemed to disagree.)
“Look, Will, I can't say what you'll be good at and what you won't, as your godly parent hasn't claimed you.” The younger boy sniffled and focused his attention on the ground. “But what I can say is that not every demigod is good at the same stuff. I can barely heal to save my life. Yeah, I can give someone nectar and ambrosia, watch over them, give them mortal medicine, all that jazz, but I don't have Lee or my big sister, Juliet's, skill in medicine.” This made Will's eyes widen in shock, because all of the Apollo children were so gifted. (Luke told him it was because their father was the God of a bunch of stuff.)
“My Mama says that everyone has their own skills.” Will spoke up after a few minutes of twisting the hem of his shirt in his fists.
“Your mama sounds very wise.” Michael smiled and picked up the bow Will had been using.
“She is! She's a musician!” Michael noticed how Will's blue eyes seemed to move like the sky when he mentioned his mom. He figured just because he didn't have the best relationship with his own at a young age, the same didn't have to be for all demigods.
“Oh? What's her name? Maybe I know of her.”
“Naomi Solace.” Michael almost choked at the proud tone, not that it wasn't completely appropriate. Naomi Solace was an absolute icon in the music industry. Their head counselor, Sam - a warm, ivory guy who stood at 5 '11, who would be leaving after this summer, had brought a ton of her records and CD's from home to keep in the cabin.
“Seriously? You're Naomi Solace's son!?” The other Apollo kids turned their heads in excitement and began to crowd around them. Will just nodded his head nervously, afraid he had said something wrong.
“That's fucking awesome! We all love her!” Catherine, an umber toned Apollo girl with heterochromia, spoke up.
“Will is still a child, watch your tongue, Cathy.” Sam scolded with a fond, exasperated expression. Will found himself bursting out into a fit of giggles. He had heard much worse while on the road with his mother, but he appreciated the sentiment nonetheless.
“You have totally got to introduce us one day, little buddy.” Another Apollo child, who Will had forgotten the name of, spoke up. The children of the sun God had never been anything but welcoming, so after pretending to think about it for a minute Will grinned widely. “Alright, just remember your manners.”
The rest of the day, the Apollo cabin borrowed, or rather stole, Will so he could join them in their activities. While the boy enjoyed the company of the Hermes kids, he felt a sense of belonging that he couldn't place when he was laughing alongside the talented Apollo children. That night at dinner, instead of offering his food to Hermes, he sent an offering to the God of the Sun.
Please, I don't know if I am your son or not, but I really hope I am. I know I may not be as great as Michael or Catherine, but I feel connected to them. They feel like home….like mama…like sunshine.

Thoughts on Heartstopper Season 2!
🛑🛑 SPOILERS AHEAD 🛑🛑
I really liked the way they switched events around but still incorporated all the main events / convos / quotes!! Like Ben asking for an apology, but instead of doing it at Tara's Bday party, they had Harry try to come in & get rejected & gave Ben's moment more depth and gave Charlie a more specific speech to be like "no, I don't forgive you, and I don't want you in my life. GTFO"
I absolutely loved every single one of Elle's outfits. And the dynamic between Elle & Tao developing their relationship! And I really really liked that we got more Tao backstory. His interactions with his mom, his heart to hearts with Nick (esp about his dad & relationship insecurities; we love a self aware king), his awkward first date with Elle at the theater
I liked Elle having more trans and non-binary friends!! And her art school journey!! Yes, give me more insight into each character's world
Naomi & Felix were iconic and I hope to see more of them! I liked that their presence also drew out Tao's insecurities and forced him to confront them. Like at the art show!!
I of course loved more focus on Tara & Darcy! I'm glad it wasn't just "Darcy is afraid to say I love you :/" and more was revealed about her homophobic parents and toxic home life! And oh my god the moment of Tara walking up to Darcy's house to check on her and meeting her mom for the first time had me SCARED. I was literally hiding behind my partner’s shoulder
I think the pacing still felt really good. And even though I knew what path the story was headed, it still felt natural when they switched things up. They maintained faithful to the original narrative while effectively adapting it to a TV show format, which is honestly SUPER impressive
And I am glad they kept in Charlie's mental health!! I think all the small switches they made really draw attention to how difficult it can be to notice an ED, anxiety, OCD, etc in someone else, even a partner. And they found good ways to express that anxiety with different conflicts and situations
IMOGEN. That girl is so bisexual. I called it last season. The vibes. The hair dye. The insistence on being "an ally." And she's totally falling for Sahar and I am HERE FOR IT.
ISSAC. I really really liked his whole arc with James. Asking Charlie how he knew he had a crush on Nick, relating to most of it, testing the waters with a kiss, and then being confused. Taking to the aroace artist at Elle's exhibition. Going back to that oh so centrally placed Ace book from earlier in the season & happily skipping off with it. I am so happy for him
TORI. Iconic, truly. Love all of her appearance and threats to people who could hurt Charlie. THE PHONE KICK SCENE, AHH. I really hope season 3 gets some sprinkles from Solitaire. They kinda hinted at some stuff to come by calling attention to Ben switching to Highs instead of staying at Truham. But I cannot wait for Michael to be introduced and the chaos to ensue.
The casting: 10000000/10
The acting: infinity / 10
The script: PERFECTION / 10
Please please please go watch or read Heartstopper. Better yet, do both.

Have You Seen Paul McCartney’s Lost Bass Guitar? Tips Welcome.
By Isabella Kwai
For decades, mystery has surrounded the fate of the missing bass that accompanied the Beatles as they rocketed to fame. A new campaign is trying to find it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before Beatlemania, there was the distinctive Höfner violin bass — the first guitar that Paul McCartney bought after becoming the bassist for the Beatles.
That bass can be heard on some of the band’s most famous hits, including “Love Me Do,” “She Loves You,” and “Twist and Shout.”
Mr. McCartney picked up the instrument in a Hamburg music store in 1961, and it accompanied the Fab Four as they rocketed to stunning success, becoming the most famous band in the world. But the guitar vanished eight years later.
A new campaign is seeking to find the missing instrument, and hundreds of people have responded, hoping to help solve the decades-old mystery: Where is Paul McCartney’s missing bass guitar?
“It’s a hugely significant instrument in its own right,” said Nick Wass, a semiretired consultant for Höfner, the guitar’s manufacturer, who has joined forces with two journalists to try and track the guitar down. “It’s the bass that made the Beatles.”
“The bass was absolutely at the heart of the origins of the Beatles sound,” said one of the journalists, Scott Jones, who worked for the BBC. “The smallest pieces of information can often lead to the biggest breakthroughs,” he said of their appeal for tips on its fate.
Mr. Jones’s wife, Naomi, is the other journalist behind what they are calling The Lost Bass Project.
The three Beatles fans have urged members of the public to come forwardwith any information that might help. No tip is too small, they say, and they are promising to keep sources confidential. They say they have already received several credible leads since the project was launched on Saturday.
The instrument’s treasured place in Beatles mythology is intertwined with the band’s story. After the departure of their original bassist, Stuart Sutcliffe, Mr. McCartney, who had been playing guitar, switched instruments to replace him during a residency in Hamburg in 1961. For that, he needed a new bass guitar.
“I got my Violin Bass at the Steinway shop in the town center. I remember going along and there was this bass which was quite cheap,” he said in a 1993 interview with Guitar Magazine, adding that he had not wanted to go into debt and could only afford the Höfner, 500/1 guitar at the time. It cost about £30 pounds, or $38, he recalled. “And once I bought it, I fell in love with it.”
Mr. McCartney took the guitar back to Britain, where it accompanied the Beatles through hundreds of gigs — from the band’s early concerts at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, where they were spotted by Brian Epstein, who would become their manager, to the recording of their first two albums. It was repaired in 1964, according to the team behind the new search, and then used along with other bass guitars.
But the last confirmed sighting of the instrument was in London in 1969, in video footage of the band members writing their final album, “Let It Be.” Rumors have percolated ever since about what happened to the instrument: The Lost Bass Project suggests that it could have been stolen or lost either from the basement of Abbey Road Studios, or from the Apple Corps recording studio on Savile Row.
A representative for Paul McCartney declined a request for an interview. But Mr. Wass said he understood, from previous communications with Mr. McCartney, that he was keen to be reunited with the instrument. “He calls it the ancient one,” Mr. Wass said.
Among the leads they had received, Mr. Jones said, were suggestions that the instrument could have traveled to the United States or Japan. But he added that all the leads need to be vetted. “Somewhere among that information there is going to be the answer,” he said.
Other iconic instruments have been lost and found over the years — one close example being a Gibson acoustic guitar belonging to John Lennon, which was bought in 1962 and then lost the following year. Half a century later, it re-emerged and was sold at auction in 2015 to an anonymous buyer for $2.4 million.
It is unclear what the market value of Mr. McCartney’s missing guitar would be, but the team behind the search insists that the effort is not for monetary gain, calling the guitar “priceless.”
“We just want to know where it is,” said Mr. Wass.

You know what's crazy ( ⊙_◎) ? Literally everybody and their momma said to Dean that Cas is in love with him, But at the same time we kinda have just as much saying Cas doesn't have feelings for him. Most iconically Naomi (which honestly slay for her),Pamela kind of , and just as much blaming dean for cas's "downfall", Ishm, Uriel, Hael. Demons knowing abt it.
Would love to know abt your theories on how they know that Cas was specifically in love than deep friendship
Hello! I hope you don't mind me adding your second part to this:
Pt2 I got kind of more to say but sent too quickly, anyways! Like angels can understand emotion especially the ones more in control, angels have felt before, Lucifer and anna and other fallen angels so it's not like it's a new concept and that cas was unique in that matter but yea curious on why you think the angels knew cas was specifically in love
///
This is a lovely ask, and I struggled to do it justice all week and I...just can't. So my answer will run the gamut of all the vibes. I hope you don't mind! :D
Biggest giveaway?
Cas's default is -> he's a big dick
The theorem: As Cas is to Sam (read: mean), Cas is to most everyone else.
Support: Cas was by Ishim's definition, "the angel's angel," he exemplified everything warrior-angels should be. In the words of Naomi: "swift, brutal, no hesitation."
Tumblr media
Behavior: Sam is Cas's friend, but Cas is also kind of a dick to Sam. He gets annoyed with Sam, even pretty late in the series, especially when Dean's not around (when Dean went to AU world, Cas was abrupt with Sam, rolling his eyes and making lil digs, especially when they're interacting with Gabriel). And well, the crux of my argument is that think that's actually his default with all angels/people.
Dude was stationed with Uriel. At one time, they were the biggest assholes in the garrison, okay?
This default serves to highlight the ones he's gentle with:
The list of the people Cas "babies" is vanishingly small (Dean, Meg, Samandriel, Claire, Hannah, Charlie maybe, Jack, Mary, and eventually Rowena, only occasionally Sam). He's much meaner with his actual friends, and almost all of his close friends are a little mean.
That's my fun answer, anyway. :-D
My serious answer is, however, a little contrarian...I hope you don't mind, but I wanted a little variety today. I'm not gonna support all this with text like I usually do, but it's one of the things I'm going to focus on in my next rewatch. Maybe!
TLDR for below; I don't think a lot of people really knew. We confuse misrepresentative-innuendo and conceptualized-loyalty for “romantic” understanding at our own risk.
///
I don't think everyone and their mother actually knows that Cas is in romantic love with Dean
Or at least...not in the capacity that certain phrases are emphasized in fanon.
That's not to say I don't think some characters suspect. I do.
But I think some of the soldier-angels shriek moreso over shifting loyalties and perceptions of corruption. They perceive the shifting of Cas's loyalty to the human family as corruption and abandonment.
In fact, I think Cas bedding down with his human family could be a sore spot for the angels in particular; it's like God abandoning them for humans all over again. I'm not so sure they view that abandonment as romantic...only that Dean is the root of the problem.
TLDR; I think most recognize it as devotion, but I don't think it's well-parsed, especially for the soldier-angels. I think their assumptions run the gambit, from fealty to devotion to fanatical, and I can easily, easily see them viewing Cas's allegiance to Jack with the same kind of unhinged grief.
//
In the world of SPN, I think much of the romantic and sexual needling comes down to warring power dynamics and simple verbal sparring/one-upmanship
Characters will do anything to get the upper hand and feel in control in a dicey situation, and those barbs often come in the form of misrepresenting, diminishing, and disrespecting other characters' relationships, whether those are relationships with their parents, siblings, friends, comrades, or other loved ones.
In SPN, we get numerous equal-opportunity jokes about sexual attractions, incest, love, affection, weakness, etc etc etc.
TLDR; I think the one-off innuendos are often not a real commentary on the truth of any relationship but simply...disrespect.
//
Some examples to consider:
Balthazar - Often held up as proof that Bal thinks Castiel is "in love with Dean," I don't think Bal's line "The one in the dirty trenchcoat who's in love with you" means much at all. I actually think Balthazar's one of the least cognizant of parsing the complexities and differences between romantic/filial/friendly/etc emotion. (He's also a gloriously morally gray dude, our first meeting with him is him taking possession of a child's soul, after all.)
I mean, sure we got Balthazar saying Cas "is in love with you (Dean)", but we also got him calling Cas Sam's boyfriend. Either my man Balthy does not parse the complexities of relationships, or he's just...simply being disrespectful and diminishing Cas's relationships to his human fam in any way he can. It's about the one-upmanship in the conversing.
I don't see a of of compelling evidence that even angels like Balthazar parse Castiel's emotions on anything more than a superficial level.
///
Hael - "When Castiel first laid a hand on you, he was lost!" I tend to file this one under assumptions of fealty and mission-oriented devotion. Yes, they fear Dean has a corrupting effect. But you could argue the same about Jack. That when Cas laid a hand on Kelly's stomach, he was lost—became a terrible weapon laid at the feet of the child instead of Heaven.
So, I'm not sure that the desperate bleating of warrior-angels can be conceptualized as romantic. I think it's far more likely to be mission-oriented. They want Cas to have devotion to The Authoritarian Company/War Machine and they perceive Cas's "new" human-oriented locus of morality as Needy Little New Family.
It's the same way authoritarian governments seek to sunder "blue-collar" soldiers from their families, purposely stationing them away from their hometowns so their loyalty is divided and dehumanization of the enemy gets easier, too.
A war machine like Heaven wages an overwhelming, all-encompassing war. The British Men of Letters and Hell are big war systems, too. American hunting is a medium war, their guerilla tactics and case-by-case approach a smaller scale, still. A family is an even littler one. (Kelly Kline's name, in fact, means "little war.")
///
Crowley - In season 10, we get Crowley needling Cas about burning through his grace to "save his boyfriend," but he also jokingly calls Sam "Dean's wife."
At core, it's disrespectful teasing, seeking to misrepresent, to get a reaction, to have power in the conversation. That's kind of Crowley's MO. Just because Crowley says something sexual doesn't mean we make the assumption that it's true. People that are verbally sparring, and especially men that are in a tense power dynamic, talk like this all the damn time, especially when we're mixing social classes. It can get real crass and real mean...real fast.
It doesn't mean it's meaningless in the context of being revelatory. Crowley and Rowena both desperately want to be included in any social group they can worm their way into, and quite badly, so there's often real emotion hidden within their barbs.
My point is you have to consider the source and speech patterns of that character before taking that ball and runnin' it downfield.
///
Innuendo, innuendo...
Another example is Zachariah's "erotically codependent line" with regard to his brothers. This barb has the sole purpose of invoking a class stereotype to make Adam lose hope and respect for his "lower class" bros. It's literally the classist "hurp-durp-Alabammer-cousin-fuckers" trope.
I personally tend to take innuendo primarily for what it is: incessant, pathetic barking.
In general, I take the demons' words with a grain of salt. They're always coming from the weak position and always hurling as much innuendo as they can to undermine and disrespect any relationship.
Even the demon Cas sits with in season 14 who says, "How'd you lose Dean? I thought you were joined at the everything," is just a crass attempt to have power when conversing. He could just as easily have made this comment about Jack or Mary or Claire and landed the same with respect to have a tonal upper hand.
Strategically, they don't have to assume Cas is in love to recognize the weakness of caring. They can say anything ugly about any person he appears to care about.
And very generally speaking, innuendo is typically lobbed from a weak/insecure position. The saying goes:
"The louder the bark, the weaker the bite."
Take for example, my man Crowley and my homegirl Rowena--almost always coming at a situation from the weak position. Crowley lobs barbs, innuendo, and faux-affection left and right. (So do other "scrappy" characters, like Dean, Rowena, Bela, every demon, Balthazar, etc)
Generally, we see this speech pattern emerge from Hell-oriented characters, which makes perfect sense, as Hell is the bottom "rung" of society, and Hell-oriented characters and witches often have the weakest social currency. These characters've got the biggest chips on their shoulders!
///
Mary vs Dean's speech patterns
Despite their similar natures, this is a big, very fascinating personality diff between Mary and Dean Winchester. Mary prefers to attack from the stoic strong position (more like Cas, Sam, etc), and she rarely mouths off. Dean is more drippingly sexual and "mouthy" because he's used to being IN the weak position. (Mary had a stabler homelife, we can suppose, at least when it comes to this.)
"You're the bottom in the relationship!" Crowley barks at Cas in season 6. Meanwhie, Cas isn't even threatened, thinking to himself quietly in TMWWBK, "I was stronger and smarter than him." Not threatened in the slightest. It bites Crowley in the ass eventually too, "You like to bend 'em over quick, don't you?" he laments at the beginning of season 7.
Likewise, Cas too gets more verbal when he's coming from the weak position with other angels. Take for example Michael in season 15, "In the worlds of a friend, you had a whole oak tree shoved up your ass." Cas rarely engages in this kind of false bravado, preferring to keep his aces up his sleeve. But with Michael, he is definitely coming from a strategical weak position with a goal in mind: goading Michael to act.
Goaders and Goad-ees
There are exceptions to the rule, like when you get sadists such as Alistair, Lucifer into the mix. I think more often than not, the goaders and the goad-ees reveal structural weak-strong dynamics.
I'd even argue that Lucifer's volatility keeps him in an emotionally vulnerable position in perpetuity. He's almost always trying to get reactions from those around him because he "needs love, he had a jakced childhood." We see this with Cas, and the effectiveness of his gray-rocking with Lucy. In season 12, getting a reaction from Cas becomes a stand-in for getting a reaction from Chuck.
///
So, that's my opinion.
I think most of the screeching and barbs are mostly power dynamics in action, not proof of knowledge per se and certainly not proof of understanding the nature of how deep Cas's feelings go
Are there exceptions? Sure.
A few of them, like Anna and Samandriel and Hannah, seem aware of Castiel's "too much heart" but I'm not super convinced that they conceptualized this as being about Dean in particular so much as about being who Cas is as a person with respect to his past rebellions.
Uriel knew something was up, I think, but it's hard to tell if his needling was more disrespectful like Balthazar's or not.
Naomi knew something was different for sure. Interestingly, she seemed aware of both Dean's and Cas's feelings, which makes sense as her work is in intel.
On that note, I think it’s interesting that the ones who truly conceptualize Cas's feelings tend to also recognize Dean's. Very few truly "knowledgeable" characters see one side in a vacuum.
I'm not sure that Ishim contextualized love outside of obsession, but he was jealous and seemed particularly jealous that Dean appeared to return the feelings, "That's what I thought." implies that.
I think of all the characters, Lucifer knew. He's got one of the higest cognitive empathies in the show. He knows it so well, he doesn't even need to resort to innuendo to tease them about it. (See the simple, effective: "CAS!") Same with AU Michael. Like Naomi, they seem to know and acknowledge both sets of feelings.
///
Close family and friends
Beyond the scope of this, but I think a lot of the fam n' friends knew what was up to some degree, but that didn't typically come out in the form of disrespect or teasing once they knew about it for real, especially characters like Bobby, Mary, etc. Eventually Rowena, Crowley, Ketch etc probably could tell something was up.
Now, are soldier-to-soldier relationships life-of-death kinda intense? Yes. Because of this, I think some neurodivergent characters that are more "cerebral" when it come to emotions (*cough* Sam) could be a little slow on the uptake. :-)

I Understand Goodbye Volcano High Now: A Short, Positive Review (Rambling)
Tumblr media
When I first learned about this game, it was while watching a Dumbsville video on Life Is Strange 3, another game I enjoy. I have a peculiar interest in watching critiques of things I like. After watching his review, I found the concept and ending of this game to be humorously flawed. Intrigued, I decided to experience it firsthand. However, after only ten minutes, I found myself losing interest. I shared my thoughts on Discord, stating, and I quote:
“So I heard about this game called Goodbye Volcano High, and I opened a playthrough on YouTube to watch, got 10 minutes in and got bored. Read a review of it, and apparently it’s a story about a group of friends, emotional drama, blah blah blah, high school shit. And the ending, no matter your choices? THEY GET WIPED OUT BY AN ASTEROID. DID I MENTION ALL THE CHARACTERS ARE DINOSAURS. Oh that’s hilarious. I could get some ironic enjoyment if the dialogue didn’t feel so… stiff to listen to. I love it. Edit: Ok basically I’m 50/50 on this being either the best game or worst game ever. Imagine sitting through hours of choices about relationships and dynamics and then they get hit by a fucking asteroid. Edit: never mind this game is peak.”
So how did I change my mind only 40 minutes in? Let’s go on the journey. Who knows? Maybe YOU will change your mind.
Please note: I haven't personally played the game yet. I typically prefer to watch a playthrough before diving in, particularly for narrative-driven games like Life Is Strange or The Quarry. While it may seem unconventional, this approach allows me to provide insights on the story rather than technical aspects.
In fact, I will share the notes I took while watching.
At the 40-minute mark, I found the game to be peak during the tarot reading. The presence of foreshadowing indicated that the game had a deeper message to convey. I will admit though, the designs took some getting used to, the forward-facing Fang was a bit overwhelming. Perhaps the art team could have toned down the dinosaur features while maintaining their overall essence. It felt somewhat uncanny, (although I must admit it grew on me by the end.)
I appreciate the little moments in this game, like how Fang's small mishap with the MIDI controller caused a strong reaction. Pal, there’s a thing called “handle the situation with a thorough and careful cleaning rather than a light rub.” I love them, my little over dramatic iconic blorbo.
Massive kudos and praise to the talented artist responsible for the captivating visuals in this game. You’re a champ. Now, for the animation itself. Personally, I believe that animation is an incredibly challenging field, so I refrain from criticizing animators. The exceptional artwork compensates for any perceived shortcomings in animation, in my opinion. While the dinosaur aesthetic may not be my personal preference, I admire the creativity behind it. And you know, a criticism…
I often come across, is the criticism that Naomi's crush on Fang wasn't evident. However, personally, I believe there are several instances of foreshadowing that hint at their connection. Even if I were unaware of the plot twist, I might have still guessed it. It is amusing, though, that Fang is comfortable conversing with an unknown number.
Anyway, why do I cough and get wheezy when I eat?
Why are all the songs in this game so goood? They cut off suddenly sometimes, but still. Are they on Spotify? I’d love to listen to these. Honestly, I feel this games predictions isn’t too far off. If a meteor were to attack us, we would act non-chalant. Make memes. Older people wouldn’t care or comfort their younger kids. Everyone would pretend it’s okay.
While it may be, and probably just is coincidental, the presence of an intersex flag pattern on Trish's shirt in the F&F game has led me to a new headcanon about Trish. <3 Look, I just think it’s worth noting that intersex individuals often lack representation beyond being included as an "I" in acronyms. So even if it’s probably coincidence, I like it.
So it looks like this is the big reveal, with Naomi making the same dress the mysterious number showed Fang. And it seems like Reed is really down about the comet situation, and now it's all coming to a head. But the thing is, what can they even do? It's like no one wants to take action or even acknowledge it. I'm not an optimist, but there has to be something we as a species could do if an asteroid was heading towards Earth.
The tarot earlier was forgotten about, which is a shame, because I thought it was going to be explained. I forgot what it was so I can’t even google it. But yeah “death” isn’t good.
Perhaps I'm biased towards Fang, but saying "fuck off" doesn’t really sound that severe when Naomi was kinda being a bit of a dick. While Naomi had a valid point, she also seemed dismissive of others' aspirations. Personally, I might have responded more harshly in that situation, which is why I struggle with friendships haha… Additionally, I didn't fully agree with Trisha placing all the blame on Fang for not understanding her feelings. Fang can't read minds, but it's a complicated situation given their denial. But still- unlike Trisha, Naomi’s outburst seems… sudden? Less justifiable? Maybe I wasn’t reading in between the lines enough. At least everyone made up in the end. Coolio.
Wow, that ending. My interpretation is as follows. It’s better to be together than alone in times of hardship. Life is fleeting, and we could lose it any-day. We need to live for the moment, not for the future. We need to live our dreams, not just wait for them to happen. When destiny fucks you, you fuck it harder, essential.

Overall, a sincere 5/5 game. The problems are so little for me, and I say that as someone who criticises EVERYTHING. My only complaints is that MY ship wasn’t validated /j. Nah, I have very few.
Pry my ship from my cold dead hands, essentially.

Ranking:
Story: 4/5
Art: 5/5
Game Mechanics: Again, I only watched a walkthrough, so I can’t comment on that.
Pacing: 3/5.
Overall: 5/5.
I don’t normally do reviews. But well, this was an exception. I did use an AI to make my points more professional sounding, but most of what I wrote was from the heart, raw.
Why do people hate this game? It’s what I call the High Guardian Spice Effect. People get a bad first impression, so judge the final product too harshly. Granted, I think HGS isn’t as good as GVH, tbh. I thought HGS was okay. Good, even. Not great, flawed in many ways. But it was pretty average. But GVH? I think it’s a worse case. While HGS had a questionable trailer, GVH didn’t really have many red flags. People just didn’t like that it had anthropomorphic gay people in it, so judged it because of that.
I went in thinking I would hate this, but I loved it. I can’t wait to see what KO-OP has in store for the future.
Because I only watched a playthrough and haven’t played it for myself, I don’t know how much different dialogue options affect the story. I guess I’ll have to see for myself, one day. For now? I’m going to give my recommend/don’t recommend status. If you like story driven games, small interactions, slow-pacing (too slow for some, which I understand) and want a surprisingly wholesome apocalypse story? Check it out. If not? Understandable. Not every game is for everyone, and no game is without flaw. Even though I enjoyed GVH, I don’t regret watching that review I did. Didn’t I tell you? I love watching media I like getting criticised. It gives me a lot to think about. But I just think the story works for me. And while the story may have a “sad ending,” it’s the journey that matters. Can’t that be said for life itself? The meteor may have hit, but it’s everything in between that matters.
Although, yes, portraying it like your choices impact the ending may have not been the best decision. Then again, “nothing you do matters” is probably a bit hard to sell. Anyway, that’s all I have to say. I’m gonna go do my Duolingo lesson (2099 streak baby) Feel free to tell me I’m wrong though. Or right. I guess.

SEASON 2 WAS SO GOOD.
ARFFRREGGGHHHHHH&;&(9)&5!
i stood up all night watching all 8 episodes and it was worth losing sleep for ‼️‼️
(i’m not sure if this counts as spoilers or not but 😨)
i love taoelle so much.
tara and darcy💔💔. i love them. i love them. i cried at multiple scenes with them.
THE DINNER SCENE WAS ☝️☝️🙏
when tori kicks david’s phone.
im so happy they included that. it’s an iconic moment in the comic.
so happy there were more tori scenes
I LOVE THE SMALL DETAILS WITH ISAAC AND HIS SEXUALITY.
on the bed after they went to the library, a pile of books was on isaacs side of the bed. out of those books, one of them is loveless. (episode 6 starting at 11:51)
When isaac talks to james about how he feels too, in the background there is once again, the book loveless. (episode 7, starts at about 7:50 but it’s seen throughout this scene)
and of course the ace book he carries around at one point‼️
i love issac.
AND I LOVE ELLE AND TAO SO MUCH. GRRRAGGGHHH. that painting made me scream
SAHAR, NAOMI, FELIX, HRAAHHFH AND JAMES TOO
i have so much to say about this season. i love everything about it. it was an emotional roller coaster, but i expected that much already. and the soundtrack is so 💔💔 nearly cried when conan gray and the cure played.
i didn’t cover everything i wanted to here because i don’t want to spoil anything for others but i’m free to talk about it however🎉🎉
sorry about this meaningless ranting. go watch season 2 if you haven’t already ‼️‼️🫵

As a person who has been rickrolled countless times by my friends, I love this idea xD
The image used is not mine. It belongs to it’s original owner
TW: None, being rickrolled
Junichiro Tanizaki with an s/o who rickrolls him constantly
Tumblr media
-I feel like Tanizaki isn’t that uncultured as he seems. Sure, you may have to keep him up with some memes and trends and whatnot, but for something as iconic as rickroll, he sure knows what it is
-It all started when you sent him a video which was supposedly about how to cook crab curry. You had asked him to see if he could cook it, and Tanizaki clicked on the video without suspecting anything
-He was quite focused, and when the video reached to its halfway point, Rick Astley suddenly popped on the screen while the music switched to rickroll
-Tanizaki literally jumps out of his seat, while you were standing behind him laughing like a maniac
-‘Y-Y/N...’ Tanizaki is s h o o k. But you do feel a little sorry for him though, since he was concentrating so hard on the video
-It was a while before you rickroll him again. Tanizaki wasn’t that surprised this time, and now it was the norm
-But Tanizaki would probably try to get you back, most often giving you videos to watch that secretly had rickroll in them. His acting is so good that most of the time you fall for the act like have you seen how scary he was in Atsushi’s entrance exam
-Tanizaki might even use his ability to make the video you were watching turn into a rickroll. You pouted quite a bit, but you almost always got back at him by sneaking small rickroll notes in his lunchbox and whatnot
-At the end of the day, it’s a fun and light competition to see who could rickroll the other first. The Agency always looks forward to these moments, for you two do have a talent to make your rickroll moments funny
-Naomi has lost count of the many times you two’ve rickrolled each other. She secretly supports Tanizaki, but sometimes she’ll help you with your revenge
-You might even rope Dazai in sometimes, and he always willingly joins. Kunikida is fed up and begs you to leave the rickrolling at home, while Ranpo is just predicting who is going to be rickrolled next and how
-But at the end of the day, Tanizaki will never give you up, he will never let you down, and he will never turn around and desert you ;)
XD I hope you enjoyed :)

reading splinters finally made me listen to youre a good man Charlie Brown and omg?? this musical!! im so obsessed and so happy that you might do a spin-off about the rehearsals. I know Nikolai is Snoopy plus a few others that you've mentioned in the fic, but are you able to confirm the rest of the cast?
EEEEEEEEEEE im glad you listened to it! :D listen yagmcb is so silly and i could talk about it for HOURS because like. there's so much to take in. (also im beyond curious about whether you listened to the original or if you listened to the revival; both are fantastic, though the revival has a few changes and additions!)
regarding the cast for yagmcb in the fic, the show actually has a very small cast! i based it both off my research and also when i did the show myself. the named characters are actually very small in the show-- there's only a few, plus the ensemble! depending on the production/director, they might add in named characters/scenes (i know my director did). also, originally, sally wasn't a character-- her role was instead peppermint patty's. they changed it later on (and ofc then kristen chenowith the legend played her which was iconic af), but--
sorry. got sidetracked LMAO
ANYWHO! Here's the castlist!
Charlie Brown - Ace
Lucy Van Pelt - Lucy Montgomery
Linus Van Pelt - Karma
Patty - Tanizaki Naomi
Schroeder - Nathaniel Hawthorne
Snoopy - Nikolai Gogol
the director for the production at yokohama high elected not to have an ensemble considering the wild cast above. it was probably the best decision he could make, plus not abnormal. (iirc i made bram stoker the director but dont fact check me on that. in fact there is no way to fact check that SHDFKGHSDKJGHDS)
the crew includes Poe, who is a student director, Margaret Mitchell, Lovecraft(? i wrote that a while ago) and more though i cant rm who rn
again, glad you listened to the musical! :D its literally so fun and so silly and charlie brown literally is just a pathetic little guy the whole time

In honor of my birthday coming up, I've decided to celebrate with an angels appreciation week! This week is going to specifically be for all those underrated background-character angels who didn't get a lot of time to shine on screen.
Reblogs would be vastly appreciated <3
Days and Prompts: May 22 -May 28
May 22: True Form/ Powers/ Vessel May 23: Masks & Facades/ Secrets/ Lies May 24: Home/ Family/ Tradition May 25: Torture/ Betrayal/ Orders May 26: Apocalypse/ Civil War/ The Fall May 27: Redemption/ Sacrifice/ Faith May 28: New Experiences/ Wishes/ Heaven Ecology
Rules:
This week is designed to show some love for angels who only appeared in a small handful of episodes or only had one single episode before they were killed off; anything submitted for angels week needs to be centering around these one-off angel characters. As much as I love Cas, he doesn't fit in this category, so although he can definitely make an appearance in anything you create, he shouldn't be the main focus. If you have questions about whether a specific angel counts as a "one-off" or "underappreciated" angel, send me an ask or a dm; anon is always open.
An example list of acceptable angels and unacceptable angels is under the cut
Any type of creation is welcome: fics, art, edits, poetry, icons, amvs, or anything else you can think of
Please tag me in your creations to be sure that I see them, and tag them as #angelsweek2022. Content can also be put into this collection on ao3
No NSFW content. Potentially triggering and body horror content is okay as long as you properly tag it (and don't be shy about body horror because that's my absolute favorite kind of content, lmao). Feel free to leave an ask or dm if you have further questions about what kind of content is acceptable
Angel/angel content is okay, as long as it's not archangel/archangel or Gabriel/Castiel
Acceptable angels example list includes but is in no way limited to Hester, Inias, Miriam, Joshua, Benjamin, Uriel, Rachel, Hannah, Naomi, Muriel, Samandriel, Balthazar, Raphael, Michael, Bartholomew, Ambriel, Indra, Abner, Elijah, etc
List of angels I would prefer weren't the main focus of the content you make (though ofc they can appear as side or background characters): Lucifer and Gabriel (while they're not in a lot of episodes, they're both widely appreciated and/or known within the fandom), and Castiel (is in a lot of episodes and is widely appreciated and/or known in the fandom).
Tagging people who have shown interest/I think would be interested in this event:
@angelfishofthelord @bradycore @ckneal @knot-doing-it @castiel-kline @jackklinemybeloved @fractalobsessed @laufire @aphexstwin @ssarahblake @bloodiermary @heavensmostadorableangel @eunoiastarz @sluttystiel @lesbianjoannaharvelle @suncaptor @housewife-castiel @the-gray-ghosty @i-miss-balthazar @casa-neurotica @anarchyforcanon @jazzforthecaptain

Jacquemus Makes a Comeback with "Les Sculptures"
Following the recent Jacquemus show “Le ChouChou” that was partly inspired by French nobility and partly Princess Diana, the latter could only be seen in a chunky necklace that is reminiscent to the one Diana would wear in her iconic 1994 “Revenge Dress,” I was left feeling a little hollow by the popular French designer. If you are going to honor a fashion icon like Princess Diana, I would much rather you commit to the bit than try and incorporate dead royalty that nobody particularly cared for; which I feel the need to add that the "let them eat cake" is historically inaccurate and one of the reasons why that show feels shallow. In comparison to Simon's previous shows such as “Le coupe de Soleil” that was set in a field of lilacs and featured a purple carpet for the models to walk down as well as Le Splash, which made me grow more in appreciation for Simon. I was let down tremendously from the Le ChouChou show and didn't know what to expect. However, the moment Marvin Gaye’s ‘Sexual Healing’ started up and I saw Gigi walk down in a creme trench coat baby I was hooked. I was confused as to what Simon knew about Marvin Gaye but that music knowledge worked in his favor and I can say that I was not disappointed.
Cohesive coloring. That’s what comes to mind as I get deeper into the show. One of my favorite things about Jacquemus is that he lets your burgundy’s stay with your burgundy’s and your blues with the blues. There is no real attempt in crossing or meshing colors that do not need to be meshed often done by other designers, in a horrendous, god-awful way that leaves you laughing to the point of tears, much like Naomi Campbell in the 2013 show, "The Face", if you will allow me to be funny. However, that is not the case here with Simon and his team of stylist, who due to their clear eye and God-given talents, can have a small array of colors come down the runway in a beautiful mirage of reds, cremes, beiges, grays, Blacks and whites. The pieces molded and shaped by the designer to resemble, in my interpretation of course, the sculptures that can come from clothes is both unique and charming. The models, exemplifying both traits, gives me everything that I need and more. The inclusion of the divine feminine and masculine in shows is something that I love to see and particularly with Simon, he is one of the very few designers who captures both essences. A masculine Asian model comes down gripping a shoulder bag styled with a white evening shirt and Black dress pants sends me into orbit with the amount of swag that he has,. The clothes not so much, but the model wears them in a smooth Argylle manner. The real show stopper however, comes in the form of a dark-skinned feminine model, covered by a white veil and dressed in a silk gown that flowed so beautifully around her. She exuded so much elegance and beauty while showing no face is just a level of couth that only Simon and his casters could have. The epitome of "No face, no case." The model and piece making such an impression with Simon that he probably felt no choice but to allow her to close the show. Solidifying and being the sole reason Jacquemus and his team to receive their tens from me and live to see another season. Mwah, no bars💋.
If I can give a note though, the title ‘Les Sculptures’ seems to be an ode to making art out of fashion, showcasing garments as sculptures. My thought is and will always be, like with many other designers and shows that attempt a similar feat, why do you not cast more full-sized models to be apart of these shows Simon? Pictured below is one model, but if tailoring on certain garments is suppose to emulate or accentuate the human frame, it would only make sense to have the inclusion of more full-sized models to help enhance that sculpturesque theme. Especially as popular as Jacquemus is among celebrity circles and mainstream media. Most notably be named dropped in Amine and Kaytranada's song “4eva” where Amine raps,
“I see you gettin' wetter through your Jacquemus jeans. My forevеr is forever, can't let nothin' comе between.”
I blushed too don't worry, but I don’t think all your high-profile clients are petite sized or like their women petite sized, so I believe that if you’re going to do a theme or nod to this then you should, again, commit to that bit.
Overall, after the horribly misunderstood show that was Le ChouChou; Simon you made up for it greatly with ‘Les Sculptures’. From the tailoring to the perfect flow of colors and models; I am telling you right now, that closing model is not real and definitely something to try and beat. Jacquemus, you may have just made the ultimate comeback in my eyes. I look forward to what you bring next.
