We arrive at in the parking lot of the National zoo. About 9 in the morning. I company my mother, brother, sister and cousin. We haven’t been to the zoo in years.  The four of us hoped that they had brought better changes to the zoo and the animals. 

As we went on through the habitats. I was disappointed with the conditions these animals are. Rats and muse feed on their food in the enclosures. Waste matter lays spread on the floors at the lookout points. I had to pick up the litter it was blowing dangerously across the floor near the lion enclosure. To me it seemed that people did not care about the animals. In the wild or in the zoo. I know that it is winter but to see so many open enclosures. Made me sad to know that there is no money to inform people of the animals needing help.

It made me happy to read on the boards that most of the animals have been adopted and are bean taken care of. But I was glad to see the big five. The number of rhinos that are looking after.
