More metal nya! Post s7 edition

Here is more of metal nya au sketches, this time some ideas of how shell look like post og era nya.

I mainly wanted to draw her outfit but I did try to come up with thier updated emblem because I love these buggers. I went with a bull because I liked the idea of her using her raw strength to run at people with her weapons lol, its also kinda of a reference for nya's hot headed tendency.

I'd like to think the main weapon they make is the blade bunggers she had as samurai x because they are really unique and so nya iconic.

Her hair is more roughed up version of her pre s7 hair but with long....hair dohickys? (She dose have more here). I gave her the hair clips because I thought it would make her hair look more interesting as well as to look like bull horns.

She has a tiny pouch on her arm so she can use them to mold her weapons to attack and take off some strain of off her.

stupid ass thought that likely makes no sense but imagine kai molding metal with his hands as if it were clay lmao

i hc him being rlly good at pottery with clay but then i thought?? what if he does pottery??? with metal??? using his bare hands??? bc he has fire hands??? and certain metals melts at certain temperatures???

the ninja would be extremely shocked when they see him do it at first but nya's like, "oh, that? yeah he does that a lot."

im not sure what it is with me and hcing the ninja incorporating their powers into performing small habits but like. maybe it helps them grow more comfortable with their powers by controlling it or even as an outlet when it gets too overwhelming, safely and without fighting.

maybe he did this even before he found out he had fire powers. kai and nya probably didn't know anyone but themselves so there was no one there to tell them "oh, normal people can't do that." but considering they've never been normal people, weird stuff like that has always happened to them and they just brush it off. and nya just thought she was bad at it, which definitely pissed her off lmao.

again, idk the science behind how it would work but this is similar to the post i made about jay knitting and conducting lightning, just a bunch o' thoughts.

his hands are naturally warmer due to his fire, and maybe his hands get hotter the more emotional he feels. maybe nya suggested clay pottery to him once after seeing someone else in their village do it, as a hobby. but his hands are too warm and the clay melts so he tries with metal instead. turns out it works!

kai just spends his free days in the monastery molding metal with his bare- slightly flamed- hands on a turn table (that is probably made of a material that doesn't well, melt) and the other four watching from the door in shock.

i reckon master wu wasn't too surprised bc he's seen ray do it once a long time ago and he requests kai to make him some sort of ornament, i dont know!

and all in all, he's pretty good at it!! he feels more comfortable doing metal-pottery (?) rather than forging weapons. he does it to relax, putting on some rnb, lights an incense (that he borrowed from wu) and just being in peace with himself and his powers

Nya and Kai turning into their elements when they were kids because once Krux kidnapped their parents he decided to get rid of their blood line completely. You know, leave no evidence

Nya got burn alive while Kai was drowned with one those metal balls on his leg

They had nothing to do with krux plan plus that fact that they were so young and died such horrible deaths led to the FSM to combine their consciousness with the elements of their parents.

Nya got the ocean and Kai got fire.

The have strong amnesia though so they only remember a couple of concrete facts:

1) they are siblings

2) they were once human

3) they must protect him

They don’t know who him is thought.

My fellow dareth enjoyers dareth won the water elemental master poll for my metal nya au. Now unlike my other post I don't have a set in stone lore or lore ideas, doesn't help I got sick woohoo. So I'll talk about the design.

Fun fact I originally started sketching this in brown so this gi started as a brown one, it looked neat so I saved it in case I wanted to make an actual brown ninja dareth in the future (if you would like to see that lmk). While designing this I decided to use the same gi design principle of nya and metal nya's gi-s but I changed the black parts to brown to make it feel more dareth-y, yes this does kinda make him the oddball but that kinda also intentional.

I gave dareth's gi pants that cowboy thing that dareth has in his og design.

I gave him this style of glove which I normally wouldn't do because they're the mark of....a special person (wink) for now for lore reasons dareth is allowed to have them by me.

I chose this blue because its the complamtary color of his brown, but also because its not close to my nya or jay design. I gave him heels because he ~💅, I put the pattern all over his gi unlike nya's.

I feel like dareth is alright with using his power but absolutely exhales when put in a stressful situation or when definding someone  (which is cannon), he dumb, he will jump to action without thinking. I like to think his room is so aesthetic with a cowboy hat as a decoration. No reason. Just cowboy.

Kai:

- Posts on TikTok & Chirp DAILY, he has huge followings everywhere

- Everything from charities to his work out routines to Q&As to thirst traps

- Even has some vulnerable inspirational videos that are like "keep going. you'll be okay, i believe in you" that are honestly tear-jerkers

- Interacts with fans the most

- If anyone is curious about what the ninja have been up to, Kai's pages are the place to go

- Also attends the most events bc he's an attention whore

- But has also raised the most money and attention for said charities as a result

Jay:

- He doesn't host Ultimate Ninja Warrior anymore, but it kept going with his permission and a contract, he visits as a special host during the finals every year

- His fan base is the K-Pop fans of the ninjago world, even though there's not as many of them.

- Maybe that IS why though. The few. The strong. They're the ones who, like, solve crimes through the internet and shit

- There are compilations of "every time the white ninja remembers he's a robot" that's just Zane, like, being shook when fridge magnets stick to him and when metal detectors go off around him

Cole:

- He has zero internet presence

- A whole ass mystery

- There are conspiracy theories that he's not even real and its a running gag

- There are accounts dedicated to posting blurry pictures of him like he's a cryptid
