Every now and then I watch old videos Klonnie related and It’s just so funny to me when Klonnie antis swear up and down Klonnie would have no chemistry even though (especially around season 4) Joseph stayed subtly vouching for the ship saying things like he was open to new love interest and even mentioning how him and Kat always got along off screen (Kat as well). Like If they always got along behind the scenes what makes you think they wouldn’t have mad chemistry on screen? Bffr

But anyways, to all the Klonnie writers keep up the good work. Y’all write some amazing stories and I’m looking forward to reading more from y’all. ⭐️

So, you and your little cult of pick-mes are at it again, huh? Slandering Caroline for no real reason other than because she existed. Man, you guys are relentless. You just can't help yourselves, can you? And you say it's Caroline fans/Klaroline shippers who are the ones who start and harass you. Also, gotta love how you only think Tyler deserved better where it concerns Caroline, but you say nothing whatsoever about what Hayley did to him in S4, which in my opinion was 1000x worse than Caroline sleeping with Klaus. But I guess since it didn't involve Caroline, it doesn't matter as much and only then, does Tyler not deserve better, huh? And what about his pack of hybrids? They didn't deserve better than what Hayley did to them? No, I guess not.

Lastly, I'm by no means a Klaroline shipper, but I give no fucks about Caroline having slept with Klaus, simply because that's the big fuck you that everyone in the Mystic Falls Gang deserved. Especially Elena, who knowingly and shamelessly was sleeping with Caroline's abuser/rapist and gave no fucks about it 🙂 But this is who you deem the most "compassionate" and "selfless" girl? I wish Caroline stans (the toxic ones, that is) accepted that Bonnie is allowed to have feelings. She shouldn't constantly have to disregard what she feels in servitude or support of her friends. Even now, you'll see someone blame Bonnie for Caroline being turned and not coddling the girl who killed an innocent person. Carter didn't deserve to die. Bonnie holds Caroline accountable for her own actions and yet Bonnie is villainized more than Caroline’s parents, the Salvatore’s or Katherine. Bonnie is the irredeemable one here in all of this but I can go on about the entitlement when it comes to Caroline but I really don't want to. She had potential as a character but I cannot ignore that no character benefited more white supremacy and misogyny than Caroline Forbes.

Caroline is just a character and the real blame belongs to Julie Plec who used Caroline as a self-insert. Because of Julie's own racism and misogyny, it is difficult to separate Caroline from this when it is reflected in her writing. I am glad for the Caroline stans in this community who can acknowledge the obvious mistreatment of other characters only to benefit Caroline as a white woman. However, I am saddened that after almost 15 years of the show premiering, there are still toxic fans bold enough to feel empowered by the misogyny of Julie Plec.

Bonnie never got her happy ending, never got the credit she deserved by fans. Never had her own plots outside of everyone else. I have to ask how does a small ship like Klonnie or any of Bonnie’s non-canon ships have you all so threatened? Must you seek out Bonnie fans to taunt and harass when you’re bored? If you disagree with something scrolling, not interacting is an option. I know some of you like to pretend your ship and fandom was oppressed in the ways that Bonnie was. I’m sorry to tell you this that’s false. Respectively, ship whatever you like but get the fuck out my inbox. There’s been several anons left about Bonnie, Klonnie and Kat. Are there any characters/ships (in any movie/show) that you dislike almost entirely due to fans?

This lowkey feels like a setup lmao.

There are characters and ships that I stopped caring about because of toxic fandoms, but I don't think it's ever entirely due to fans. There is usually deeper reasons I don't like them and the fans just make it worse.

For instance, if you have been on any of my pages, you know I don't like klaroline. I want to preface this with saying, just because I say I don't like a ship, doesn't mean I am saying no one can like them. This is my opinion, everyone is entitled to their opinions. I actually liked klaroline my very first watch through of TVD when I was younger, but after that, I didn't see the appeal. This was all long before I was aware of the fandom and found out the some of the stans were actually threatening a real life person and got her fired from her job. I have since had my own life experience which make it impossible for me to like any ships that involve physical violence. I am never going to like a ship where one of the characters has physically harmed/tried to kill the other. So it has less to do with the fans than my own perception. That being said the fans don't help.

I really liked Caroline throughout my time in the fandom, but seeing people get personally attacked because of any perceived critique just makes me not want to interact with that side of the fandom. It doesn't mean I don't still like her. I just don't make contact revolving her and she subsequently gets moved lower on my list of favorites because I just don't spend time thinking about her. I also personally love to criticize even my favorite characters. If the fans are unable to do that, I won't post about them because I just don't feel like dealing with it.

This is not an exhaustive list, but it does tend to be the stans that I personally see get the most aggressive. I have also interacted with wonderfully nice and compassionate Klaroline/Caroline stans. It's always upsetting when the toxic minority ruins it for everyone.

I will say, to me the actors are much more likely to make me dislike their character a lot more than the fandom. For instance, very early in the fandom I saw terrible posts from Nate Buz just being an awful human, so I was just never able to see the appeal of Kol. I know people say to "separate the actor for the character," but to me this only goes one way. You should never hold a character against an actor, but I am going to hold the actor against the character. It doesn't matter what compelling role Nate Buz plays, I just can't stand even hearing him speak.

I know you asked about other fandoms but this is the only fandom I really got into well enough to feel the effects of the toxic stans. I was apart of the Harry Potter fandom for a while, but toxic fans only served to make me stop interacting, not dislike any characters. And the main reason I stopped was because JKR came out as a terrible human. Same thing with Twilight.

Every fandom is going to have toxic people. That's just life. I try to avoid it and interact with people who are excited to have positive interactions. But seeing the toxicity is upsetting. It won't make me completely dislike a character but I will hesitate to interact with that side of the fandom and naturally move away from that character.

Also I know there are characters I post about that have toxic stans as well, but I tend to see them less. I don't know if there are less people or if I'm just in a safe bubble. I would love if people could just be nice to each other and accept that we don't all view characters the same way.

This is the JoMo anon from earlier. And like I said, I didn't see that clip or know what he said about KC that made shippers so upset. So, I can't really comment. But if you could elaborate, maybe I can understand it a little bit better.

This is the JoMo from before. And yes, I was around when TO had started (not here on Tumblr). But I never saw that interview or clip with Joseph that made people upset. All I saw was people turning on him at the drop of the dime and seemingly upset that he changed his mind about supporting KC. All the hateful comments I saw being made was enough for me to not want to look further into it. So, I was kind of hoping you could elaborate what he said and why people were upset.

Well like I said there was really A LOT, it wasn't a single thing, but one of the many fucked up things that stuck out to me was that the TO cast and crew were at a panel thing, I think it was Paleyfest? And a girl who looked about twelve asked him about Klaroline. He was obviously uncomfortable and gave a really awkward answer, again if I'm remembering correctly Charles Michael Davis actually interrupted him to smooth things over because it was so cringe, and at this time the TO stans HATED KCers and vice versa.

For whatever reason this incident really set off the fans going at each other, and the TO stans absolutely WENT AFTER this one CHILD and the TO cast and crew were like, fine with it and tacitly encouraging it. This for me was the moment where I really started to turn on TO despite being one of the KCers who was trying to stick it out, and again if I'm remembering correctly JoMo's wife liked tweets implying that this very young-looking fan somehow "harassed" Joseph by asking him if he still shipped KC. I remember feeling really grossed out and soured on the entire show because of it, because it was a KID asking a really innocuous question and all of a sudden everyone directed all of the hate that they had towards the Klaroline fandom towards this one person who was completely undeserving of it. Like I said, there were actually a ton of different things that happened, but I remember this as a big turning point for me and I think that the whole fandom situation continued to devolve after this incident.

I want to be a nice Elena stan, I try to avoid drama with her dumb haters, a part of me just loves to defend her. Now, I have a question. Today, I found a fic that I was interested in. BUT my smile dropped when I saw Elena bashing tag. And then I wanted to comment something negative, was I really wrong? Do you think should I apologize? And funny, the ENTIRE fic was about Elena being upset that people don't prioritize her, while the author is so obsessed that she writes about her lol.

The same thing happened to me. I was reading this Klaroline fic (Mafia AU) and even though the writing was bloody good, the way Elena was bashed was ruthless and I couldn't gauge if that was the point of the story or not, but as an Elena stan, that story left me queasy and I gave kudos for the writing but didn't leave any comments because, yeah, it's all about the preference.

I'm pretty sure Damon and Katherine's stans don't like any of my fics because one way or the other, I end up bashing them passive-aggressively (if they're not the MCs) or aggressively (if they are the MCs). So, we put the '...bashing' tag in our stories just to give a warning because it's all about the preference, again.

It's hard to resist the urge to defend Elena as an Elena stan, I get it every day. But I remind myself of the time I got in a fight and ended up winning but I couldn't revisit the social media platform for days. So, the best thing I do is just ignore it and read some pro-Elena fics and think about other fic ideas (or just rewatch the Originals, it puts me in a better mood).

If you left a comment that you think you might have offended the author, I'd suggest deleting it. That way, there's no guilt on your shoulders and you can just simply drop something like 'I love your style of writing!' and all (if you did, that is). Otherwise, kudos are enough.

There are actual people behind the screen and I just don't want to go ahead and cause an unnecessary fight so I'd just leave those few words, otherwise, if I'd comment, I'd leave an elaborate comment and indirectly end up bashing the author and that's something I don't really want to do.

If the fic was certainly like that, then there'd be no point arguing and apologizing because if an author writes something that focuses solely on Elena being upset that she isn't being prioritized when people write fics about Caroline or Bonnie or Rebekah being put in the same situation and don't bash them, then the author's nothing but a hypocrite of the character. I think it's okay for Elena or any other character to express that they feel left out in some situations. Caroline's done it several times on the show. Elena has the right. If you despise a character, despise them properly. No point arguing with hypocrites, just leave them be and occupy ye self with some fantabulous pro-Elena fics.

That doesn't mean you don't defend Elena. When you feel that you can, the red carpet's already laid out for you. As RM from BTS once said, let the haters hate and let the lovers love.

People hate on Elena for what Damon does and not redeeming him, but it’s not someone else’s job to redeem somebody, and also, Elena cannot leave Damon. When Katherine!Elena broke up with Damon, telling him that she doesn’t want to be worried about him killing someone every time they have a fight, Damon responded by killing her friend, and then nearly getting Jeremy killed, knowing that Elena would never recover from Jeremy’s death. Elena now has proof that if she ever leaves Damon, people she loves will be in danger, so she cannot ever leave now. Damon specifically went after Elena’s loved ones to hurt her, so Elena can never and will never leave him, not when it might lead to her standing over her brother’s grave again.

okay but this,

there’s definitely a huge problem not just with elena’s character but with all of tvd (and like the world but that’s another thing) of like- women being held accountable not just for things they do but for things the men around them do. It’s a huge thing with the klaroline fandom and forwood too tbh.

It’s obviously a lot more present in Elena’s character and character arch bc she was essentially made the primary support system for the Salvatore brothers. (fully intentionally at least on Stefan’s part might i add). Elena is held responsible both in the show and fandom for stefan’s blood addiction, with her spending all of season three performing insane emotional labour and literally feeding him from her own vein in season 2 (I really don’t think we talk about the symbolism of that plotline enough btw).

She’s also made directly and p much solely responsible for ALL of Damon’s actions. The amount of times he responds to her being rude, or disregarding or even just slightly emotional with devastating and horrifying acts is insane.

- killing Jeramy bc Elena turned him down

- raping Andy for months!!! (literally the most horrifying subplot in all of tvd btw) bc Elena doesn’t love him (she might not know ab this but this but there’s so many scenes of him just like… talking to andy ab Elena, there’s literally a scene right before he drinks from her where she’s compelled and is like “why are you doing this?” and he says “i’m in love with a women i can never have.” like it’s some great tragedy that justifies what he’s doing.)

-breaking Alarics neck bc Elena got mad at him for attacking Caroline’s father

-sleeping with a women who tried to kill elena less than 24 hours ago bc she was mean to him (also can we talk ab how the show/fandom paints that as Elena being self absorbed and selfish? i cannot think of a more reasonable reason to get upset than a friend sleeping with someone that is actively trying to kill you like??? anyway stan beklena)

- killing a women on the side of the road bc he’s sad a teenager doesn’t love him (another scene that ppl ‘uwu poor damon🥺🥺’ too all the time which is odd to me)

- and ofc the season 5 drama

what’s insane ab that last one, and i’ve mentioned this before, is that katherine isn’t mean when she breaks up with damon. She doesn’t even make up a reason she whole ass says ‘i’m afraid you’re going to kill ppl i love- i cannot trust you- peace out’ and then he KILLS PPL SHE LOVES LIKE. you could even argue ELENA has been crueler to damon in the past like kats so chill.

this definitely does come down to that whole ‘women are not rehabilitation centres’ thing but the fandom dialogue is so twisted and women hating it’s v hard to imagine it’ll ever be fully undone. hopefully we have a moment like ppl redescovering ezria on pll but tvd really put their whole pussy into this shit so idk.

imo dullena is absolutely rancid, and ste.lena have their moments but are boring as fuck and like 100% unrealistically fluffy. they had a lot of chemistry initially but they kind of became flatbread and boring after a while, and anyways, the salvabros treat elena horribly in the name of her protection, practically dehumanizing her and making her feel like she's not even a real person because they "love" her or whatever, which is absolute bullshit. i mean she says d.amon gives her "freedom" or whatever which is just. not true at all and there's plenty of evidence of d.amon being an abusive pos towards her, and ofc elena views him as "making her happy" because there's an unhealthy power imbalance between them and she's a victim of his abuse. if there was going to be any two siblings plus elena love triangle on tvd it should have been elejah/beklena and not dullena/ste.lena, for thousands of reasons that i might get into some other time.

as for elena herself - she's not my favorite character on tvd and i think bonnie and caroline deserve more time to shine than she does because they'd make much better lead characters, but elena herself is a cupcake. she's incredibly sweet and compassionate, fiercely loyal to her family and will protect them above all else, and she's not afraid to manipulate her way into an alliance to protect the ppl she loves, which are v admirable traits. i don't hate elena because she seems cool enough, i just prefer bonnie and caroline and several other characters over her - and needless to say elena deserves better than either salvatore brother, she deserves happiness and love and friendship, and to be in a relationship where she is respected and feels safe which d.amon and st.efan will never offer her.

elena's actions are an entirely different thing, though. i like that she makes "morally incorrect" actions at time for a noble purpose (saving her friends and her brother) because morality isn't black and white lmao, and we all do terrible things because the "right" choice is subjective and open to interpretation. tvd would be a much worse show if she made that choice all the time because being constantly perfect is unrealistic.

what i hate is that she's not held accountable - to the same degree of misogynistic treatment caroline gets from the writers for her decisions. elena's choices are always framed as okay because she is the main character and we have to root for her, but caroline doesn't have the same privilege of her own high horse to sit on. and yeah ppl got so mad at caroline for, what, rightfully telling e.lena what a terrible person d.amon is?? i get that she could stand to be a bit more supportive but the way fandom attacked her for having negative thoughts about her best friend dating her abuser is....... yikes. i'm not anti elena's actions, because yeah i love klaroline so obvs i can't be like "wow how dare elena date the villain," i'm anti the disproportionate treatment of elena versus caroline, and how elena and caroline basically had a toxic cycle of slut shaming each other in the salvatore's bathtub that one ep lmao.

Hi! if ur taking requests, i am in an anti cami mood (im always in an anti cami mood lmao) and i was wondering if u would consider smth with caroline coming to see klaus, klaus being thrilled bc he missed her, and cami being jealous and trying to "read" caroline the way she does klaus, hoping to dissuade klaus from being with caroline with "she wont fix u, she'll make u worse" and care taking issue with that bc klaus does NOT need to be fixed.

i just. hate cami i cant with her, cami stans be saying klaus loved her, nah, the deleted scene where klaus shows caroline the painting literally pointed out what we all know- cami was just a substitute for caroline- besides! his face with cami at the painting and then compared with when hes with caroline at the painting are two very different expressions. PLUS! he has never used, manipulated, or compelled caroline even when she was sent as a distraction for him, instead all he did was ask her out on a date in exchange for one of his hybrids. yet, he only talked to cami bc he knew marcel liked her and he was using her to get at marcel, even compelling her. where caroline had control when she turned into a vampire- which heightens who you are ALREADY- cami was wild and not in control. and as a therapist, she should know better than trying to get into a relationship with her patient, and she tries anyways. thats unprofessional. so much for the "maturity" cami stans claim she has over caroline. i truly believe the only reason klaus said ily to cami when she was dying was BC of that. she was dying and she confessed his feelings to him and itd be awkward as hell if you just stare at someone when theyre bleeding out but looking at you with expectation. another thing is that from what i can recall (i could be wrong?) is that klaus has never mentioned caroline to cami. or anyone. yet, in the scene where hes with caroline at the painting, he doesnt hesitate to mention her. sure he doesnt use her name but he doesnt need to. bc to him, shes not important. she was just a woman he knew but didnt love- he has no secrets from caroline, nothing to hide and this proves it. whereas caroline was never mentioned because klaus loves her, cares for her, and doesnt want the one precious thing he has in his life to be ripped to shred by cami and her diagnoses on klaus and his life. caroline is precious and HIS- a beloved part of his life cami is not privy to, because shes not important enough to know. not mentioning caroline's name until she comes to him also keeps her safe from the people who wish klaus harm. the LOOK on klaus's face when caroline kissed him goodbye, you can tell. he loves her. he never stopped. the way he asks "would you even be here if i wasnt dying" he was WAITING for her, he wanted her there, and we ALL know it.

As for Hope. Hayley raised her with this “I’m the tribrid and I can do anything” mentality. Which I hated. And the show portrays her as this orphan. When her aunt and uncle are still alive.

I also always kind of blamed Hope for Klaroline not sailing. Because their was this scene in legacies were Lizzie wishes Hope never existed.

And you know what we got, Klaroline! Sure the world was in ruines. But we still got Klaroline! So I was happy with just that.

I just never liked Hope that much. I mean I found her ok until I went back and re-watched legacies and saw how annoying she really is. But even before than, I always liked Josie and Lizzie more.

Although I'm a stelena stan I admit that Brian wrote some good Delena scenes that moved me from time to time. And even if I personally didn't feel anything in their scenes I could see why they appealed to delena fans. So don't worry Rivusa stans we'll be graduating from clown school soon with no clown qualifications at all.

Fair enough. Honestly, pretty much every ship on tvd had some amazing scenes, so I’m going to hope he learned well from his work on there in general.

I tried to check out his work more to see what other ships he also wrote pivotal scenes for, but I simply remember the Delena ones best (although he did help write “The Last Day”, which definitely had some pretty iconic Stelena). Ok, so I've been away from your tumblr for a few days and boy a lot has happened since then. I'll try to catch up but fair warning, Klaroline rants & fangirling coming your way. :) On Caroline in a love triangle with Elijah & Klaus. Yes, for smut purposes. Yes, but if she ends up with Klaus and it's not canon (otherwise it all screams Elena and the Salvatores and Caroline deserves so much better than doing what Elena did first). Also, thank you very much for the update for the Wolf 2.

p.2: Of course that chapter didn't really magically fix everything but it was still great! I really liked how you compared and contrasted the different ways Klaus and Elijah grieved. My heart goes out to Klaus having to team up with Dahlia to bring Caroline back. I'm sure he'd do anything for her but still... I can't wait to see where you take this and how it all plays out. I do have faith in your process and that it'll end up with a happy KC + Eve (and Elijah & the other Mikaelson siblings) :)

part 4: I'm shocked people suggest that you space out your updates? I only kinda makes sense if you don't want to overwhelm tumblr but even then... I don't know. I'm ALWAYS super eager for updates! You can never update too soon for me. Of course, people, including authors, have lives, so I understand it it takes time to write and update (and sometimes even read) but to have it done and not update because it's too much somehow... I really don't understand the logic. I vote for updates asap!

I love that you approve of Caroline with Klaus and Elijah for smut purposes. 🤣🤣 That is the spirit! Like a billion years ago, I wanted to write an outtake for TW1 where Caroline had a ~DREAM~ featuring Klaus and Elijah at the peak of their bickering because of her, when Elijah and Rebekah had just moved to the compound with her and Klaus. lol I never did get around to writing it, but it remains a fine idea in my head. *SIGH* Honestly, I don’t think Caroline would ever engage in a Salvatore Switch situation. She lived through that drama and had very strong opinions to allow herself to go there. But from a TW perspective, I can say that Caroline has developed a whole new view of Elena’s situation. lol The little she had to go through just trying not to crush Elijah’s heart while holding Klaus’ jealousy back was enough for her to understand that it’s not as easy-peasy to squeeze out of that as she had previously thought.

The part where I said I felt the ELIJAH PULL is very near, actually. It’s not very long at all, just one chapter, but I’m sure everyone will know exactly what I’m talking about when we get there (but I’m also certain some people will not agree with me! lol). The bed sharing scene is from chapter 28, I think. That chapter was way too long, I had to cut out bits that didn’t necessarily advance the story, and that was one of those. It broke my heart to see it go. 🤣🤣 Chapter 28 WHIPPED MY ASS. I was stuck on it for a whole month. It’s the longest one in the story, and it’s 100% original. Absolutely nothing there comes from either of the shows. I’m sure when it comes the time to post it, it’ll take me forever just editing it again. I still don’t like it. 😫 There’s a lot of angst up ahead, but rest assured that there is a happy ending. So buckle up, dear anon. 😂

As for the updates thing, I think I’ll just post a little announcement of update once, but won’t be reblogging it a billion times. So really, I highly recommend that people who want to be warned about updates subscribe to the fic on AO3. I was starting to feel really weird reblogging my own thing 15 times to get like 5 notes. lol So I’ll spare tumblr of that from now on.

And thank you for your opinion on updates. ❤️ I guess everyone knows what they prefer, and if people can only take one chapter a month, I have to respect that. But it’s been very nice to hear from others who are ok with the quicker updates, because just thinking about another whole year of this story makes me want to cry. 😭 I’m a naturally anxious person, it’s why I dropped 14 chapters at once. But I don’t think that worked very well, so I went back to one at a time. But if it depended on me, I would drop another 14 and be done with it. 😂😂 I might actually do that one day if I decide I’m just done with regular posting.

Hello, here to give you some context about the people attacking you: Lina is a person who is obsessed with Rhaegar x Lyanna, has been around the fandom for many years and is known to always start fights with every corner of the fandom, especially with people who don't think Rhaegar is a saint who did nothing wrong ever. Went as far to call Rhaegar a ephebophile instead of a p*dophile, as if that somehow makes it okay. Regarding her IRL opinions, she's very weird about Putin and issues regarding POC, which is often expressed through her opinions about fictional characters/races/families and has even expressed transphobic opinions. I've encountered her on twitter countless times; I'm neither pro-team Green or pro-team Black, yet she has been so awful and hateful that she's been called out numerous of times and most people know they should avoid her, both on twitter and tumblr. Brideoffires previously known as yendany has also been cancelled on tumblr before, I remember them from my old political tumblr days, they were called out as being anti black, racist, fetishiser of gay men and a weirdo overall. These people, along with the rest of "targnation" have been around the fandom for a long time, they will attack anyone they disagree with, including fellow Dany and Targaryen fans who don't "stan" Daenerys hard enough to their liking. If they don't like you, it means you're doing something right. I've always liked Daenerys, as a POC myself I've had issues with how racist her storyline is written, which has nothing to do with Daenerys, but the writer himself - and I got attacked for it and accused of being a "white bitch" which just puts me off the character and fandom and is extremely toxic and deranged. "Targnation" is known for being awful, attacking actors, being extremely racist and sexist and borderline transphobic, considering their treatment of Emma D'arcy when the HOTD casting was announced. This attack on you isn't because those people care about social justice, they've just branded you as a "Dany anti" and because they can't give a proper response to your metas and videos, they'd rather attack your personality and accuse of you things that aren't true, as they often do. All of this goes beyond fiction; war, racism, xenophobia, antisemitism is so much more important than "stan wars". It's not something you get to use as a "gotcha moment" because you disagree over fiction. It's absolutely disgusting. This fandom disappoints me every day. Anyway, keep being you, keep sharing your opinions, keep learning and growing. You're a gem in this fandom of awfulness, you're so well-spoken and smart and I hope you don't let these people get to you with their harassment and bullying because they've chased away a huge part of the fandom already. Oh boy, well hello my fellow white bitch! And yeah, I don't know who this is nor do I really want to find out given what's been going on, but none of this is particularly shocking to hear. Obviously there are unhinged stans in every fandom, but it sucks when they make everything suck for everyone else. And thanks for the support but no one needs to worry about me, I survived the fucking Klaroline fandom so some kooks I've never heard of going nuclear on me is fairly old hat. It generally takes a lot for me to internalize this kind of fuckery and the only thing that actually bothers me is being misrepresented, and I feel like I made myself clear so at least people can form their opinions of me based on reality rather than the unhinged rantings of people who don't know me and who I don't know. Ultimately however people act is on me and not them, and stuff like this really is analogous to someone screaming "bitch" out of their car window as they drive by so it is not something I take personally, it is just weird because, due to the nature of social media, doing that can actually lead to some other people being like "wait what maybe they're right?"

so I ve been wondering about JoMo. I saw him answer in comic con. He was trying to brush off Klaus& Camille connection, and reasoned that Caroline was still alive. Granted that he was trying to please fan, but I heard that he liked Caroline, and had a crush on Candice, but she was already taken. Is that true? I find it hard to believe that he doesn't like Klamille pairing, frankly because the on-screen chemistry btw Klaus & Camille seemed to suggest otherwise.

(Kcers are gonna say JM and CA had romantic feelings for each other behind the scenes to make them feel better about their ship. I don’t believe it, there were actually signs he liked Kat G (Bonnie). He told the writers he wanted to work w/ Kat, he wanted klonnie (as opposed to kc for his romantic pairing), and I think he spent Thanksgiving or some other holiday w/ Kat’s family. But if you really want to know more I’d ask a tvd/Bonnie blog.) 

OKAY here’s the thing w/ JM: he’s a people pleaser. To the point where he’s a spineless coward. He didn’t stand up for Leah or Phoebe during TOs run despite the MASSIVE hate they received for their respective dynamics with Klaus (although Phoebe’s died down because she was romantically paired with Elijah and Jackson). So, I don’t respect him, and I don’t expect him to ever acknowledge klamille as the romantic soulmate pairing they are. I received an ask about why I don’t respect JM, and I answered with receipts so if you’re interested here.

Now, way back when when the first half of s1 was airing (before klamille received all the fandom backlash), JM openly praised klamille. 

“ As for Leah who plays Camille, I filmed my favorite scene with her. It’s later on in the episode and I don’t really say much, but I think it’s some of the best acting I’ve done. I don’t know what you guys will think but to me, that scene stood out. For me, she was really solid. She made some interesting choices as an actress and came across so strong in the pilot.”

JoMo teased that there will be “some distance” between the two, though it sounds like they have an epic scene coming up. Joseph called it “an amazing scene in episode nine, which I’m really proud of. We got loads of nice comments for the scene we did in episode 4 where I… compel her to forget everything again, and we were really proud of that scene.“

My point? In no way shape or form does JM ever outright hate on Leah or klamille. in fact, out of all the love interests, she’s the only actress whose abilities he praises. He respected her and knew they worked well to elevate each other in scenes. 

Now again, he’s a people pleaser. In s1 he was trying to make sure TO got picked up for s2 and he didn’t want to risk alienating any fans because he has no spine. So he’d never outright praise klamille bc he didn’t want to piss off klaroline shippers, or klayley shippers, or stans who didn’t want Klaus in any romantic relationship. He’d downplay klamille even though they were getting straight up romantic scenes. What you see at cons and fan meet and greets is a continuation of his old habit. If he senses he’s in a room full of kcers, he’ll pander to them, which is what you saw.  “Well Cami’s dead” no shit Sherlock. He stated the truth, without saying too much. He didn’t outright choose Caroline, you can also take that to mean “so you’re only choosing Caroline because Cami’s dead? Is she the backup?” or kcers can twist it to mean “Klaus is ready to move on, he picks Caroline over Cami”. It pisses me off how he never gives an outright answer, but that non answer is enough to sate kcers. He’s careful like that. BUT, he also took a picture with a klamille fan saying Cami deserved better.  JM will do the minimum to not offend.

He hadn’t acknowledged Leah on social media in YEARS but he came on twitter to tweet her an official goodbye and thank you. Out of the goodness of his heart? Because he’s a good leader? NOPE bc after 3x19 aired there was huge backlash on twitter, and it lasted the entire weekend (the ep aired on a Friday). I mean it was the nastiest ugliest rage the writers had ever seen (bigger than all the hate Cami and ck haters left in their mentions for 3 seasons). JM saw the criticism of the show, and him as the lead, and he hurried up and tweeted Leah. 

Please, save yourself the headache of looking to JM to validate klamille or gush about them. Those days were over as soon as fans flooded his mentions w/ their anti klamille hate. I suggest you do what I do, and look to canon where we have more than enough material to fangirl over. You can also check Leah Pipes’ likes and replies on twitter, every now and then she’ll like a klamille tweet or respond to a fan. I compiled some of them here.
