Mizu: What are you in the mood for? Akemi: World domination. Mizu: That's a bit ambitious. Akemi: You are my world. Mizu: Aww... Akemi: Mizu: Akemi: Mizu, after a whole five minutes of staring dumbly: OH.

Lowkey really wanna read a Mikio x Mizu AU where he isn't a complete misogynistic asshat and they live happily ever after raising horses so beautiful and strong that they're talked about throughout the land (he switches his old master when he comes calling wanting him back because he is better off without him and is living his best life with his girlboss wife who he highkey loves getting dominate by).
Mizu doesn't really do the selling part coz well, you know why, but sometimes she'll go to the market with Mikio and after they've sold all their horses (coz they're that well bred, there's whispers the emporeris eyeing a young stallion they're raising) they walk around the market romancing each other and Mizu now has an entire collection of assorted weapons in the house that they both practice with and Mizu is scary good with every single one and lowkey Mikio is afraid of her but like in "I'm embarrassingly turned on by the idea of my wife being able to slice me to pieces with every weapon I've bought her ever but also I'm totally 100% okay with her hold a knife to my throat and riding me to within an inch of my life"
And honestly, we could've had it all, my friends, but Mikio chose to be a c*nt and I will never be okay with him betraying the love of my heart like that. I hate that ugly rat bastard 😭😭😭

What are your fav desserts? Thanksgiving and in general?
Dude like. Those cold cherry pies that everyone has around here. No bake cherry cream cheese pie. A southern staple for every holiday fr, it makes me so nostalgic. Especially if it just falls apart when u get a piece bc I like the imperfection, it feels like home. Just cherries and syrup going everywhere. (this is not a cheesecake, there's a difference)
Tumblr media
Ummm as for in general?? U can get me with anything with fruit in it ngl. Angel food cake or pound cake with fruit and whipped cream, I go nuts over berry cobbler, ice cream!!!!! Not a dessert but I fucking love smoothies. I also like dark chocolate, like 60% cocoa so kinda medium. A little chocolate plus the fruit is 👌
If it's fresh tasting and sweet, not too heavy, I'm gonna like it. Tho I generally try everything at the dessert table at functions bc I'm me hdgdgxhd

Tears
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
tags / cw: AFAB reader, fingering, smut, tears
Tumblr media
So I've come to the revolutionary epiphany that Mizu would 100% be into tears. Like, into it a LOT. She could simply notice your lips start to quiver, a frown start to form, and eyes start to water and girlie would be GONE. Bonus points if its during sex and she's the one that caused it, because knowing she has that sort of control? And that you trust her to such an extent that you would let her overstimulate you, until you're nothing but a babbling, pleading, and crying mess? Yea, she's kicking her feet like a fangirl at that.
She absolutely loves the fact that she has the power to control your every emotion and feeling during sex - that everything that is happening to you right now is in her hands and no one else's, not even yours. She fucking loves that you love and trust her enough to do this to you, and that you get off on it just as much as she does, maybe even more.
I can just imagine how softly she'd cup your face in her hand, swiping her thumb across your cheek to pick up the many tears that have fallen as she coos at you and whispers that you've been so good for her. After she's been edging you for so long, it seems she's finally ready to give you what you want, what you have been wanting since you dragged her to your bedroom.
"Just a little longer, princess. Think you can hold on for a little longer?" She'd murmur, staring hazily into your red, puffy eyes with her own love-filled ones.
Mizu would wait until you let out a cute sniffle while nodding quickly - eager for whatever she would give you - before her eyes turn condescending and cruel.
"Too bad you’ve been a fucking brat all day…”
She'd laugh at your momentary confusion before fucking into you even harder than before, the hand that isn't wrapped around your throat is instead two fingers in and knuckle deep, where she curls them into that spot, making you cry and beg even harder for release.
For a few seconds, Mizu contemplates denying you for even longer, because watching you cry and beg for her is just so enticing, and letting you cum would only put a stop to that. But then she thinks about how loud you would scream her name as you cum, how drunk on her you would be afterwards - all soft and clingy, reduced to nothing, only wanting Mizu.
So instead, she focuses on thrusting her fingers into you and circling her thumb against your clit just right, getting you closer and closer to cumming. And it's when your begging becomes incoherent babbling, and when your tears fall faster as you squeeze your eyes shut, that she adds a third finger - thrusting them deep and curling them hard.
She'd be lying if she said that the sight of you crying her name out like it's the only word you know as you cum, clenching down hard on her fingers, doesn't make her almost cum too - her focused gaze on you would serve as evidence for that. It almost makes her tilt her head back and groan, but then she'd miss what is happening right in front of her.
And when it's finally over, Mizu would slip her fingers out of your pussy and snicker at the gasp you let out when her thumb brushes against your sensitive clit one last time, before forcing your mouth open and watch you suck on them. She'd let you clean yourself off of them before leaning down and softly kissing the tears away on your rosy cheeks.
She would pick you up and carry you to the onsen, no matter if you are bigger or smaller than her (I mean c'mon, she scaled a building with Taigen on her back, a katana between her teeth and MULTIPLE stab wounds), and slowly sink into the warm water, letting it envelop the two of you.
She would cradle you softly in her arms as you bury your head in her neck while she washes you and trails kisses all over your naked body, allowing you to fall asleep at her ministrations, before gently carrying you out and drying you off.
She would hold you close as you drift off to sleep, smiling at how adorable you are, before closing her own eyes and dreaming of you, only you.
And come next morning, when Taigen appears unannounced in your house again while you both are enjoying some tea in the kitchen, Mizu would roll her eyes and grumble at his antics while walking to the bedroom - saying she forgot her glasses in there or something.
Taigen, ever the respectful one, would turn to you, grinning as he points at the hickeys littered on your neck before cracking a series of childish jokes.
"You played it safe, right?"
He snickers, before adding:
"I mean, we don't want any mini-Mizus running around just yet."
....Cue many crashes and curse words from the bedroom.

Akemi is INSANE. Her fiance went on a brave journey so he could marry her instead of some other dude. So she follows him, becomes a prostitute, finds the man responsible for their separation, fights him, kills two people in unrelated circumstances, gets kidnapped back home and tries to kill herself. Then, she has a single conversation with the other dude and goes "wait he's cute actually omg" and sleeps with him. Her fiance? Don't worry about it. Because when he comes back she mentions nothing of it and they vaguely break up over unrelated reasons. No one is doing it like her.

The Ronin and The Bride
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mizu x Fem!Reader CW: N/A WC: 2.6k+ Uses mostly he/him pronouns for Mizu until towards the end.
"You're a lot younger than I expected you to be," I said as I was standing in front of my soon to be husband.
"I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or not."
"Take it as you will," I said, turning away from him.
My mother arranged this marriage as she was starting to get older and prone to more accidents if she wasn't taken care of. I think it was an excuse to get some money after my father passed away. And I couldn't really bring in money no matter how many jobs I took on. And my mother was always selling her body to any man she would to get money. It was never enough and so deciding to marry me off to someone was the best option.
"Let's get this over with," I sighed.
Once everything was said and done, my mother was milling about the small house my husband owns. It wasn't the best for us, but it held the three of us and that was all that mattered. There was a small little farm in the back where we could grow our own vegetables. There were even some cattle in the back as well. So there really wasn't much for us to worry about when it came to food, as there was plenty already harvested and ready to be prepared.
"What's your name?" I turned to the man.
"Mizu," he said, removing his Kasa from his head. "Yours?"
"Y/N," I said.
"Nice to meet you."
"What did you do before getting married?"
"I killed people," was all he said and bluntly.
"Like a samurai? A lord's swordsman?"
"No. I don't really know what to call it."
"A ronin, maybe?"
"That might work."
"Are you still killing people?"
"I," Mizu let out a sigh. "I tried to. But it seems people find me and want to kill me for what I've done."
"And what have you done?"
"Kill people."
"Right," I said. "They want to get revenge on the person who killed someone they knew."
"I was out for revenge," Mizu said.
"You were?" I asked.
"Yes."
"What for?"
Mizu stood up and opened the door, walking out. I let out a sigh as my mother shook her head at me. I stood up and went after Mizu, but he was nowhere to be found. Not even where the tools were to shear the sheep and tend to the livestock. I turned and headed back inside, preparing dinner for us.
When the sun was slowly falling down into the horizon, the door opened up and Mizu walked in. Sweat was running down his forehead and there was something odd about him. He wasn't very masculine for a man. He looked kind of slender, but not very muscular at all. Well, I shouldn't say muscular. I should say, he's not very broad. And there isn't really any facial hair on him. I shouldn't judge. My father had a clean face and whenever his mustache or beard grew in, he'd shave it almost immediately. He didn't care for that kind of look.
I guess I shouldn't really say that Mizu isn't like other men. Maybe that's a good thing. He let out a sigh as he sat down, finding that there were bowls of noddles prepared for him. It wasn't much, but it was what I could do with what he had already here.
Dinner was silent. My mother tried to make conversation with Mizu, but he gave off the impression that he didn't want to talk. Always looking away from her, pretending like he didn't hear, or shrugged his shoulders. There was also another odd thing about him. His glasses. He always wore them, yet again, I've only seen him a couple of times throughout the day. What were they hiding if he was in fact hiding something?
After dinner was finished and cleaned up, my mother went into a different room while Mizu and I were in the same room. He was washing up while I had just finished. It was odd, laying on a mat that wasn't my own. Or I should say, it wasn't in my own house. I didn't feel like I belonged here and that this marriage was going to go anywhere. It felt like Mizu already had a life planned out for himself and now that he has to take care of not only a wife, but his wife's mother, it felt like we were impeding on his life.
Once the door slid open, I looked up and found Mizu's hair to be long and down, past his shoulders. Strange. I know some men have long hair, but I wasn't expecting it to be that long. And silky too, with how the light of the candle reflected off of it. It reminded me of water, like his name. How reflective and wavy it was. And his skin looked soft and gentle, not hard and rough. There was something Mizu wasn't telling me.
"Mizu?" I asked.
"Oh shit," he gasped, jumping slightly.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."
"I thought you were asleep."
"I can't."
"It'll take some time to get used to."
"How come you don't really talk to us? To me?"
"I wouldn't blame anything on yourself," Mizu said, getting ready for bed. "I am not really the best person to converse with. I was alone for the majority of my life aside from my adoptive father."
"Who was he?"
"Master Eiji. A sword maker near Kohama village. I grew up there."
"I see."
"Where did you grow up?"
"Kyoto."
"How was it there?"
"It was crowded. Dirty, too."
He snickered, "I thought the same thing."
"When did you go to Kyoto?"
"I had to find the Shindo-dojo and speak to the master there."
"I do remember hearing something of a samurai coming into the dojo and making quite the spectacle."
"That was me. Even though I am not a samurai. I never was."
"Why do you say that?"
"Samurai fight with honor. I had no honor back then. I still don't."
"All the more on why you fit with the ronin," I smiled softly at him.
He nodded before laying down on the mat and blowing out the candle. I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep, but the curiosity behind Mizu's past kept me up.
The weeks went on and they soon turned into months, and Mizu still didn't really open up to me. He asked me a lot of questions, but whenever I would ask him anything of his past, he'd either leave or evade the question. It infuriated me, but one question bothered me.
"Mizu?" I asked as I was helping him with the harvest for this month.
"Yeah?" he asked.
"Why did you allow me to marry you?"
He turned his head, finding my curious gaze at him.
"If I am going to be honest, it was the money."
"The money?"
"Yes. Call it selfish, but--"
I cut him off, slapping him in the face. He stumbled backwards slightly, holding his cheek as it was burning red.
"It is selfish!" I sneered at him. "You live out here by yourself, unbothered by people, and yet you buy me like I am being sold to one of those flesh traders. Or even into prostitution."
He was silent now, looking away from me.
"Do you even know how it feels? To be bought and sold just like that? For money being the only driving force to marry someone? You wouldn't know because you're a man! You don't have to worry about those things at all!"
There was something that changed behind those eyes. They always seemed cold and dull, but as soon as I said that, something snapped within Mizu. His eyes widened slightly, before narrowing as he slowly turned his head to face me. There was a raging storm within those eyes and even though I couldn't see his true eye color, I knew they were burning within. He stood up, straightening himself, even though he was a few inches taller than me.
"What do you know about me?" he asked through clenched teeth.
"Nothing! I know nothing about you!"
"Exactly. And we're going to keep it that way."
"I don't even know why I accepted to marry you."
"I accepted. That was all that mattered."
"I should have talked my mother out of it."
"Did your mother have any other people in mind?"
"A few. They would pay more than what we offered you."
"And why did you choose me?"
"I guess it was because you lived out here and not in a city or someplace large like Edo."
"So you came out here for solace?"
"More so for my mother."
"You could have had anything you wanted, but settled to eat trash," Mizu said.
"It wasn't my fault that my mother insisted on me marrying you! Of all people, you! I could be in Edo right now," I said.
"And what? Married to the shogun's son? Basically being a baby factory for them?"
"It'll be better than living out here with nothing around other than a small village nearby to trade things for."
Mizu glared at me, "You chose this life. Not me."
He stalked off, heading inside the house. The door slammed and I winced slightly, letting out a sigh as I knew I had to face my mother once I entered the house. And face my mother I did. She went on to berate me, saying that is not how a wife should talk to her husband. She went into her room and I was left alone. I let out a sigh before getting dinner ready. Once it was, Mizu did not arrive to eat.
"Go find him," my mother said.
"Fine," I said and stood up, heading into our room.
Sliding the door open, Mizu was sitting in the corner.
"Dinner's ready if you want any," I said.
"Y/N, wait."
I stopped, not turning to face him.
"What?"
"Can you look at me?"
I turned and found his glasses were taken off. Slowly lifting his head, he opened them. My eyes widened slightly, finding the most beautiful shade of blue staring back at me.
"I'm sorry," he said.
"I accept your apology. But why now? Why show me your eye color?"
"It's one way I know I can trust you. How you react is everything to me."
"Why?"
"I was ridiculed, bullied, and looked down upon for my eye color."
"What's so bad about having blue eyes?"
"First off, I have blue eyes in Japan. It's not normal."
"So your father was one of those white men?"
"Yes. How do you know about that?"
"My father was killed by one of those white men. He heard word that a white man was going to be heading to Edo to kill the shogun. He went to warn the shogun and he died there. He was face to face with that white man and he shot him down like he was nothing. That white man fought with no honor. But with pure intent of wanting all the power in the world."
"I-I was there."
"You were?"
"Yes," Mizu said. "I was there in Edo when that white man killed the shogun."
"Did you kill him?"
"N-No," Mizu turned away. "I-I went to London to find the other two. Once we got there, he ran. I knew nothing on London and decided to return back to Japan."
"So you were on a quest for revenge."
"I was. I never got to complete it."
"Do you want to?"
"Yes."
I nodded my head, "I see. And your eyes, they're very beautiful."
A small smile crawled on his face. That was the only time I have ever seen him smile since I was here.
"And I wouldn't be insecure about your eyes."
"What about your mother?"
"Around her, hide them. But around me, there is no need for you to hide who you are," I said, about to step out of the room. "I'll be beside you no matter what."
Within a few weeks, Mizu was starting to open up more. He was letting me help more around the small farm we had. Such as shearing the sheep, feeding the livestock, and he even took me into the woods to where this peach tree was. They were low enough to where Mizu could reach up with ease and grab one for me. We would spend hours there, just talking more and more about anything and everything. It made me smile to know that Mizu was warming up to the idea of married life.
"Y/N, we need to talk," Mizu said one night.
I was slicing carrots when he said that, almost making me cut my finger off. I had nicked the skin and Mizu rushed over, grabbing some bandages he kept nearby in case this happened.
"Are you ok?" he asked.
"Yeah. I am. W-What did you want to talk about? I-Is it something that I did?"
"No, no, no," he shook his head, wrapping my finger up. "I-I've just been hiding something from you."
"It's only been half a year since we've been married. And now you're telling me this?"
"Yes. Because you deserve to know the truth."
"Truth? About what?"
"Your mother is not here, is she?"
"No. She went to the village to see if she can get anything for dinner tonight."
"Ok."
"Why?"
"I-It's better that I show you."
He reached up and removed his ponytail, letting his long hair fall down to around chest level. After that, he grabbed his haori and pulled it back, revealing a binding around his chest.
"I'm not a man."
"A woman," I said.
Mizu nodded, "Yes."
"And this changes how?"
She blinked a few times, "Y-You're taking this surprisingly well."
"I told you before, Mizu. There is no need for you to hide who you are around me."
Some tears formed in her eyes as she reached over, pulling me into a tight hug. Pushing her away, she looked confused at me.
"I-I am just shocked you hugged me."
"I-Is that ok? T-To hug you?"
I smiled, "Of course. Just warn me next time."
She chuckled, pulling me into a hug. I hugged her tightly, finally knowing the true Mizu.
"Thank you, Mizu."
"I didn't do anything."
"For showing me who you are."
She smiled, nuzzling the side of her face against mine.
"You're welcome."
My heart beat fast and hard against my chest. I wasn't liking the whole marrying someone I never met before idea, but with Mizu, I am glad my mother picked her from the other men.
"Oh shit!" I grabbed her shoulders and pushed her away.
"What? What's wrong?"
"My mother cannot know about this," I said.
"Shit! Right. W-What would she do?"
"For starters, probably have you killed. Either by her hands or by someone else's. But I think by now that you'd kill them before they even drew your blood."
"That's true."
"Or worse," I let out a heavy breath. "She'd make me leave you for another man."
"You say that like a bad thing."
"And you say that like you want it to happen," I said, a little offended.
"I-I didn't mean it like that, Y/N. I-It would be a bad thing for you. But also for me."
"W-What are you saying?"
"I-I've come to enjoy your company. Mostly yours since I have not acquainted well with your mother, but you," she found my eyes, a look of awe in them. "You're someone I want to have in my life. Someone I should have had in my life."
"Why someone like me?"
"You accepted me no matter what. You didn't judge about my eyes and you didn't judge about me revealing the truth. If I would have been found out anywhere else and with anyone else, I'd be rejected. You welcomed me even though we started off rough. Y-You've shown me what unconditional love is. And I couldn't be more grateful for that," she smiled softly at me.
I reached over and grabbed her hand, "Man or woman, Mizu, it doesn't bother me. I will still love you for who you are."
"L-Love me?" some blush crawled onto her cheeks.
My eyes widened, recognizing what I just said. Some blush came onto my cheeks as well.
"S-Shit," I whispered.
She chuckled, her smile growing wider, "So is that a confident response?"
I let out a sigh and placed my hands on her cheeks, pulling her towards me. My lips met hers lightly and her arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me into her. She pulled back after a few seconds, taking in a deep breath.
"I'll take that as a yes?" Mizu asked.
"Yes, Mizu. I love you."
"I-I love you, too."

‘Til The Caged Bird Sings
(Part 3)
Recap: Mizu found you in some makeshift holding cell in the basement of the gambling house you were being held in.
Surprise Shawties two in one night
CW: a bit bloody description
Mentions of SA
Literally falling asleep as I type this, hopefully there are no typos (I doubt it)
I’m probably gonna go back and rewrite this cause I genuinely can’t remember what I wrote and I’m frankly too embarrassed to go back and read it
Tumblr media
————————————————————
Mizu approached you with haste, managing to open your cell with one swift motion of her sword, breaking the lock almost clean off. She cautiously made her way into the dark and dreary cell, the only light that entered the room was from a small window on the back wall. This place was not meant to be a cell, it seemed to have been made last minute more than anything. It wouldn’t take a genius to know that they didn’t care about the people they stored here.
Once she got right in front of you, she noticed that you had gone quiet and still, other than the tremble that you couldn't seem to stop.
Mizu kneeled down before you, lifting her hand, wanting to tap your shoulder just to gain your attention but just as she had just barely grazed that now tattered fabric on your shoulder you began to flail and scream.
Most of your words came out as nothing more than incoherent sobs, but Mizu could definitely make out the words, “Get away from me! Don’t touch me!”
Your voice was hoarse and scratchy, you had been shouting for a while.
Your cheeks were stained with tears, Your eyes were held shut in fear as you flailed about, trying as hard as you could to make it impossible for whatever man you assumed was in front of you to grab you.
You felt two strong arms grip yours, holding them still as you continued to struggle. You didn’t know who was infront of you but the last thing you wanted was to open them and be face to face with the fact that you’d have to endure another hour of torture. That was until you heard,
“Hey hey, it’s me.” Mizu shushed you, continuing to hold your arms still as you slowly began to stop thrashing. You continued to cry, still not wanting to open your eyes, believing your brain was playing some hopeless joke on you.
“Open your eyes.”
Finally, your eyes fluttered open. Immediately you were met with the blue eyes that you loved so much staring back at you, filled with a fear you could not even begin to explain.
You leapt forward, wrapping your arms around her as tightly as you could manage, never wanting to let go. You continued to cry, your words a jumbled mess as you tried to describe what had been done to tou.
You dug your nails into her clothes, trying to pull yourself closer than you could possibly manage, your breathing was unstable and your tears began to soak through Mizu’s clothes.
She didn’t care, she held you as tightly as she could, happy to at least have found you alive, but terrified of what you might’ve had to endure before she did.
You both sat there for a few moments as your crying died down a bit, a few hiccups here and there made it hard for you to properly express yourself as you tried to talk to the woman.
“Let’s go home, please.” You pleaded, no longer wanting to be in such a place. She nodded, carefully wrapping your arm around her shoulder, helping you to stand as you both made your way towards the door of the cell. As fast as you could go, you made your way back to the ground floor before you heard the clamoring of several armored men running into the house.
They finally knew Mizu was here.
“Someone go check on the girl!” You could hear one of the men yell followed by the sound of a few men running towards you and the rest running in the opposite direction. You began to shake, fearing that they would somehow manage to take you from Mizu again, right after you had just been reunited.
She noticed you shaking and putting a reassuring hand on your arm as she looked towards you.
“I’m not going to let them take you.” She said as she gently placed you up against the wall. She drew her sword, standing before you, emulating a wall between you and then men who had finally made their way towards the hall you both stood in.
Once their eyes landed on Mizu, they all immediately got into fighting stances and quickly charged at Mizu, who did the exact same thing towards them.
She sliced through most of them easily, but for each man she brought down, more came to replace them.
The men who had previously been upstairs had all made their way towards the commotion, making it harder and harder for Mizu to keep up with all of them.
Eventually she had been so caught up with the men surrounding you that she hadn’t noticed the one man who seemed to slip past her and make his way straight for you.
Mizu called for you, quickly gaining your attention as she continued to struggle against the men she was fighting with.
Your head shot up, quickly seeing the man who was making a beeline straight for you. As fast as you could react, paired with the adrenaline that suddenly shot throughout your body, you stood up and lunged yourself at the man. Not expecting you to fight back, the man had been taken by surprise as you scratched and clawed at him in any way you could manage. You didn’t have any other weapons on your so your nails would have to do, and with the right technique they could be lethal.
You have managed to successfully scratch at the man’s eye, leaving you feeling disgusted and him severely wounded.
But you didn’t stop there, you had so much anger from not being able to fight back that you could release until now. The only thing you felt like you could do as you continued to attack the man was to scream. You screamed as loud as you could, carrying all the emotions that you had been feeling for the past few hours. The emotions that you truly didn’t even have time to fully process, the emotions that scolded you for being weak and yet consoled you for this not being your fault.
You continued to scream, being blinded by your own rage you had not realized the sheer amount of damage you had caused to the man’s face. You had somehow managed to break the skin on several parts of his face, his eyes included.
He continued to scream, finally pushing you off of him as he knelt down, cupping his face in pure agony. With one clean plunge through his chest, the screaming stopped. You watched the man flop to the ground as the sword left his body, your entire body shaking as you tried to catch your breath. You had no idea how to react to what you had just done, you had never injured someone so severely in your life. You didn’t mind Mizu’s past, you were aware she had harmed many people before she had met you, but it was an entirely different story when the blood was partially on your hands.
He deserved it, he and several other men in his group had taken advantage of you, they talked down to you as if you were nothing, they tried to make you feel as if you were no more than an ant trapped beneath their feet.
And in some ways they succeeded.
Mizu bent down before you, gaining your attention before touching you.
“You ready?” She asked, making sure you were fully aware of your surroundings. You nodded, still not all there entirely, but you were there enough to know you wanted to get out of there. Just as she had done before, she wrapped your arm around her now blood soaked shoulder, helping you to walk as you made your way out.
However, due to the excessive amount of adrenaline coursing through you, and the blood that has already partially made its way onto your clothes, you had yet to notice the wound that was currently leaking from your abdomen. You hadn’t noticed, but through your moment of blind rage, in an attempt to get you off of him the man had stabbed you and took the knife back out.
You both left the building leaving nothing but piles of bodies and an egregious amount of blood behind.
You made it all the way back to Mizu’s horse before you had noticed the stab wound that still continued to bleed out.
Your hand grazed over the wound, almost as if to convince yourself it wasn’t real, but the blood that coated your hand afterward was indeed your blood.
“Oh shit” You muttered, looking towards her with a terrified look in your eye. Mizu, who was already getting the horse ready, looked back towards you, her eyes widening.
You knew Mizu had gone through worse but the same couldn’t be said for you, you didn’t know if you were going to die in the next two minutes or the next ten, if at all. You might have known what to do if you were thinking clearly but at this point in time you couldn’t think straight. You couldn’t think at all.
The world began to spin as you took one step towards Mizu, the world going black as you began to fall right into her arms.
Mizu admittedly panicked just a bit, not knowing whether the wound was lethal or not. All she did know was her question was going to be answered regardless of the placement if she didn’t stop the bleeding.
She ripped whatever piece of fabric she could find and hastily wrapped it around you, trying to add as much pressure to it as she could before carefully lifting you up onto the horse.
It was a bit of a journey back but luckily the makeshift bandage Mizu had wrapped around you was enough to slow the bleeding down a significant amount.
Everything was dark for you, you didn’t know how much time was passing, you could hear things happening around you but your mind was too foggy to focus on anything clearly. It only took you a few hours before you woke up, the stab wound miraculously being the only major injury you sustained after the whole ordeal. You had a few scratches and bruises littered throughout your body but it wasn’t something a lot of rest couldn't handle.
While you slept she had gotten around to cleaning the house up, getting rid of any mess that had been left waiting for you both to return. Mizu now sat next to you, she watched carefully looking for any sign of consciousness as she held your hand.
By this point she knew the cut wouldn’t be lethal, but waiting for you to wake up was excruciating.
She gently brushed away some of the hairs that had gotten stuck to your face, carefully moving them out of the way as she just simply stared at you.
She was so afraid of losing you, you had been taken from right under her nose and she had no idea.
Now more than ever she never wanted to leave your side.
And she wasn’t going to, not unless she absolutely had to.
She continued to sit calmly beside you, no noise really coming from either of you either than your slow and steady breathing. Every so often she would take a peek at you, making sure that you’re still alive and okay and that you hadn’t drifted off to the other side while her eyes were closed.
By every so often, it was actually every thirty seconds.
Mizu desperately wanted to try and persuade herself into believing she wasn’t stressed out about this, telling herself you were fine and that she shouldn’t worry, but there she was, worrying. She wasn’t trying to go too far on herself, after all self pity gets you nowhere, but she felt so guilty for not getting there on time. You were the one person who accepted her in every way that she existed and she practically offered you up on a silver platter.
She gently held your hand, feeling your pulse to reassure herself as she sat there. She said not one singular word as she waited for you to wake back up.
Once you had woken up, a wave of relief washed over her. It was one thing to think she lost you via kidnapping, a whole nother to think she was going to watch you die in her arms.
Your eyes fluttered up, meeting her soft gaze as you sat up.
“Mizu?” You asked even though you knew it was clearly her. You looked around, noticing the space was entirely cleaned up. She smiled down at you, moving a bit closer as you tried to sit up. She very gently pushed you back down before saying,
“I’m glad you’re awake but you need to stay down for a bit.”
The fact that you had woken up alright was enough of a reassurance for her, knowing that you were okay.
You immediately laid back down, listening to your wife who had suffered a great deal more pain than you. You practically considered her an expert when it came to pain.
Relieved to at least no longer feel direct pain from you abdomen, you wearily smiled at her.
“Thank you, for coming for me.” You thanked her, but it only threw offMizu a bit.
“You’re my wife, that’s part of my job, to protect you.” She said, looking towards you with a new found curiosity for what else you had to say.
“But in protecting me you put yourself in severe danger.” You argued, you weren’t entirely a big fan of Mizu being so badly wounded but then again who would be.
“A risk I’m willing to take for you.” She responded plainly as if it were a fact. Maybe because it was. She was willing to take any risk for you as long as it meant you’d continue to keep loving her.
“But-“ you began, only to be cut off by the woman.
“I don’t care what excuse you want to make, I went looking for you out of my own free will, I knew the dangers that came from it and I handled them pretty well.” She explained, finally being about to persuade you.
“I would do anything for you.” She said, holding your hand so you would understand just how serious she was being. She understood but she’s be lying if she said she didn’t want to hear it again.
“Anything?” You asked.
“Anything.” She responded.
