New ref sheet for Yotaun, feel like this design encompasses his whole everything better than the other ones he went through.

Wanted him to look like when he walked his head would bob forward and back like some ancient beast.

It amazes me how humans will try again and again to spot such creatures of supposed myth and legends to the point of putting their only small lives at risk. Yotaun the most infamous of them all.

They regard him with such reverence it's laughable, I've known the tike since he was but a small pup that could barely fill out Meeka's paws. He's hardly anything to be afraid of if you were me.

His fascination with the color red has grown exponentially from what I remember. Even making a mark in the legend that surrounds him and the forest he dwells in.

I assume he associates the shade from his mother, the petals marking her forehead and dotting her tail. Probably thinks anyone with the color red is a delicious gift from his mother and savors it wholeheartedly.

I do wonder what scene would play out if he ever met his grandmother...

The legend goes that the only way to gain safe travel through the Blackwoods is to appease the son of the Swamp Mothers. For this you need a stranger draped in red of some sort. An offering of flesh to appease him and the bright red color to let him know who his offering is.

His name is Yotaun now and I might animate this later we’ll see.
