‪⋅˚₊‧ synopsis‧₊˚ ⋅ the last event of 2023 for txt and of course they had to end it with a bang

Red carpet outfit | makeup | nails | hair

᧔o᧓ the flashing lights were blinding and the photographers yelling out the members names was nothing new to the group. They kept their smiles on and continued posing until the MC came to ask questions.

᧔o᧓ “Joohyung-ssi how does it feel to finally perform one of your songs with a few of your members?” The MC asked. “I’m so excited! I always wanted to do this. I hope moa are just as excited and please cheer loudly for us.” Joohyung got embarrassed towards the end making everyone chuckle.

᧔o᧓ the MC made them each turn and say something nice to another. Beomgyu looked at Joohyung and even before saying anything the photographers went crazy with snapping pictures of the couple. With the sudden action made both of laugh. Beomgyu cleared his throat before speaking, “Joohyung is the definition of a perfect idol that our group is very proud of.” It was short and sweet which made Joohyung beam at him.

᧔o᧓ Joohyung turned to Yeonjun “um…” Joohyung was getting embarrassed again. “Y-you practice so hard and I admire you a lot for how hard working you are…um yeah.”

“Noona what was that?” Yeonjun laughed while hugging a flustered Joohyung. “I’m sorry, I was put on the spot.” Joohyung covered her face with her hands. “It’s ok noona.” Yeonjun rubbed her back comforting her.

᧔o᧓ Joohyung did go viral from her abs being more defined along with her elegant looks throughout the night. With her pearly white hair color Joohyung was called ice queen all over social media.

᧔o᧓ the second those stage lights turned on the whole venue filled with screams. The trio just had a chic aura to them with this performance. Joohyung combined the original feminine dance moves with a masculine touch to them to suit Yeonjun and Beomgyu better in the company opinion. Joohyung would still dance to the original choreo towards the end of the main chorus.

᧔o᧓ Yeonjun and Joohyung got to share the high note with each other which moas erupted with cheer. Soon after the high note Joohyung got on the floor to so you iconic leg move. This performance was definitely the talk of the night and probably the most anticipated one.

᧔o᧓ during ‘CTF’ the camera zoomed in on Joohyung during her part and she gave a flirty wink causing moas to scream. During the performance Joohyung felt her hair get caught on the gems on her jean jacket, so when it was time to take them off for ‘Tinnitus’ the jacket took some of Joohyung’s hair out of her braid. She held in her whimper from the pain and continued on performing.

᧔o᧓ many people praised Joohyung for doing hard choreo in heels, singing live while dancing, and for her amazing facial expressions.

Practice outfit

᧔o᧓ “I miss the memo today.” Joohyung laughed, as she looked at her pink set and the all the members dark fits. The video then cut to the members looking at Joohyung’s abs, “I’m jealous of noona.” Kai pointed at Joohyung’s stomach. “You should come with us to the gym then.” Joohyung teased Kai. “I’m lazy~”

᧔o᧓ Soobin made Joohyung practice with him for his stage with Arin from Oh My Girl. He kept on smiling and laughing at Joohyung straight face while doing such a lively dance. “Noona you have to act cute!” Soobin whined, as he kept on dancing. “Fine.” Joohyung switch to being cute making Soobin burst out laughing.

᧔o᧓ the video shows the new trio practicing for ‘Gotta Go’. “Joohyung how about we do this-” Yeonjun shows what he thinks looks better in the dance. “Let’s try it.” The three continue practicing. Joohyung even practices her singing while dancing causing moas to go crazy on twitter with all the clips of her raw vocals.

᧔o᧓ Joohyung came to support Yeonjun as he was going to film his VCR intro. “It’s looks so good.” Joohyung watched Yeonjun through the tv. Once Yeonjun came back out of breath Joohyung immediately gave him a water bottle and hugged him, “you did so good junie-ah~”

᧔o᧓ it was now Soobin’s turn to perform his duo stage and just before leaving Joohyung stopped him to fixed his hair and outfit one last time. “There, you’re perfect.” She smiled up at him. “Thank you noona.” He just wanted to squeeze her with how endearing she was being.

᧔o᧓ “woah, woah, noona you look so chic!” Taehyun big boba eyes stare at Joohyung’s whole look. “Thanks, I really love it.” Joohyung looked into the mirror while fixing little things about her stage outfit. “Want me to take photos for you?” Yeonjun asked, already getting his phone ready. Joohyung gasped, “will you?” Yeonjun hummed ‘yes’ and already started pointing the camera towards Joohyung. They spent a good 10 minutes takes pictures, some solos pics then duo, and finally many trio ones. Just before leaving to the stage Joohyung started warming up her vocals and singing her parts. “I have to make sure my voice is in good condition before going.” Joohyung did feel a bit of pressure to perform the best she can, especially with this anticipated stage.

᧔o᧓ Joohyung came back to the waiting room squealing with happiness. “We were so good! I couldn’t even hear because of the cheers.” Everyone clapped and explained how good it looked. “I heard it through my ear-ins.” Beomgyu told the camera.

᧔o᧓ the group got a little break before their main group performance since they only had to perform short versions of their individual stages because they pre recorded the day prior. Joohyung mainly just fell asleep on the couch while Taehyun and Yeonjun did mini workouts.

᧔o᧓ the camera showed Soobin watching the ‘Gotta Go’ performance. “Woah they did a good job. Noona look so pretty with her makeup.” He chuckled while fixing his ear-ins and headset mic.

᧔o᧓ finally the members were done with all their performances and the cameraman showed them walking back into their waiting room. “Look there’s a chuck of my hair stuck.” Joohyung showed the camera her white hair strands clinging into the jewels of the jacket. “Did it hurt?” Yeonjun gasped at the sight. “It did! I had to hold in the pain.” Joohyung threw the jacket onto a makeup chair. “I had to suck in the tear that was coming out because of how hard I pulled it.” Joohyung cried, as she threw herself in the couch. 

᧔o᧓ “I think moas will enjoy all of our performances from today and we really enjoy performing all of our songs.” Joohyung did a mini clap, as she spoke. “Everyone did an amazing job today. Well done!” The members clapped before saying ‘fighting!’

okay, here's what went down

first of all, i just have to say i love coming to kpop concerts alone because fans are just so friendly. i know stan spaces online get a bad reputation (and rightfully so) but i always manage to meet such lovely people at kpop shows so i really appreciate the people that kept me company in line because studio PAV is SO fucking strict about phones 😤

so everything is a blur because i really wanted to record it all in my notes app but they were moving things along like clockwork so there was no time to even sneak it out.

but shout out to the girl who asked rie about deep sexy at that one libido fansign. we actually stood next to each other in line and she told me that was her and i told her how her tweet may have changed my entire worldview about rie lol. chatted for hours so i wasn't bored out of my mind.

but anyway moving on to the fanchat. i thought i could be chill because i'd met them before but no i was not chill. i was shaking.

i rememberrd to bring an album this time so i could get it signed instead of a flimsy poster (good call because i accidentally ripped it 🥲) and i brought a sharpie so i could write my name on my badge. i tabbed pages before i left home so each member could sign the inside so they each wrote my name, but i kind of wish i had them sign the cover because it took up a good bit of time to spell out my name. i don't know if it was that or if PAV shortened the time to sit with them because it went by so much faster than last time. last year i kept running out of things to say but this time, i felt like i got cut short when i wanted to keep talking 😔

first was mill. i just love him so much and he is so pretty and stunning and his eyes are so big and sparkly. i asked him about if he did any fun things in atlanta and he went on about how atlanta had the best steak ever (first rie last year, now him...and i don't even eat meat) and they also had drinks thursday night. at least he was gesturing about drinks but they moved me along quickly. no marriage proposals this time, thank god.

next was nine. i'll be honest, i haven't been the biggest fan of the blonde on him but it looks super duper good in person. i wanted to compliment him but i just blanked so i asked the same thing about if he did anything fun in atlanta. he just said he slept and rolled around in bed, and i felt such kinship in that moment. i told sleeping is my favorite thing to do (not even lying). i had my nagongie with me but no time to pull him out before i had to move on 🥲

kb was next. i was trying to find his page in my album but he had already found it but i was like redirecting him to the wrong page so he gently pushed my hand away so that was awkward and embarrassing. but he didn't sign my name so we managed a full conversation:

me: hi, how are you?

kb: i'm good but i'm hungry.

me: oh, you didn't eat lunch?

kb: no, i ate lunch but i'm still hungry.

i told him i hadn't eaten much but the venue served food on the rooftop and there's restaurants nearby so he asked for recommendations. i told him about a couple of bars that i'd never actually been to but were on my list of places to check out. i don't remember if he said i should go there after the show or we should go there after the show but i'd like to think it was the former. and then as i was getting up and moving to the next member i realized i left my poster in front of nine so i had to reach past him to grab it. embarrassing once again 🫠

next was junji. his english has improved a lot in a year! no awkward silences with him. he had a ponytail and i really wanted to compliment his hair too but he carried the conversation instead. he asked how many times i had seen them and i told him it was my 3rd time and that i had seen him in atlanta and san francisco. then he said thank you and grabbed both of my hands and said "you're my lyon" 😵‍💫 he asked me something else afterwards but i don't remember what it was or what i said lol. i was too frazzled after that. i wish he had fistbumped me instead.

then it was yoojung. i wasn't too stunned to speak this time, yay! somehow i felt really confident with him. i complimented his handwriting while writing my name because it was so small and dainty, and i told him he looked best in the bedazzled jacket and i wish i had some rhinestones on mine too. he said he really loves denim jackets but the rhinestones hanging from his sleeves were annoying because they kept hitting and dragging the table. not in those words exactly but it was the exact sentiment.

last was the menace. and yes, the menace was menacing. instead of sitting across, rie moved his chair to the end of the table he could sit next to you, which i was actually grateful for because the eye contact felt less intense that way. he immediately told me "hey baby, come on, don't be scared." i told i'm not scared because i wasn't. i was ready to throw down with this dude. he asked me my name and i showed it to him on my badge and he said "okay, i'll write korean." ??? i told him i could read korean but if i couldn't then what? then he asked me who was my bias and i thought WHY would he ask me that and that's when everything i worked so hard at to build up over the past year went crumbling down. i suddenly had a mental crisis so i said everybody. he kept pushing me to tell the truth. and i kept insisting it was everybody so he said, then who's your bias today, so i told him it was him. so he said okay like he knew i was lying but didn't push it further. then he asked me what was my favorite song and i had been hoping for this question since the tour was first announced because i had to let them know the people want dOra maar KOREAN VERSION. and then they made me leave but as i stood up his eyes went RIGHT to my nagongie and my nine PC in my bag and went "oh, your bias is nine." WHY WOULD HE SAY THAT TO ME? WHY WOULD HE CALL ME OUT LIKE THAT WITH NO WAY TOO DEFEND MYSELF? can't stand this man.

but i'm glad i lied because he asked the same thing to everyone else and he would GRILL them about why they liked their bias. EVERYTHING'S A GAME TO THIS MAN. so yeah. be warned. prepare yourselves.

hi-touch was hi-touch. nothing special there. rie disarming me with his intense eye contact again but what's new. their hands were cold and dry and my hands felt sticky from the humidity. i was so jealous.

for the concert, i managed to get a great spot. not barricade which i didn't care for anyway but still very close and right in the center too. the concert itself was great minus the short setlist and the lack of bOss. completely and totally devastating to me. i had been looking forward to it so much since they did it in seoul. the did a dopamine rock remix which is so much better than the original. give me the lOve, bitxx is now my new favorite choreo. they did a solo medley which was fun because we got all the solos this time. i think at one point junji missed his cue to join rie on stage so they kept laughing and then he gave rie a piggyback ride. libidO english version is maybe slightly better than dOra maar english version but still 👎 i've been screeching the korean versions in my car for years, why must groups do this? thank god they put ballads in the setlist. the nonstop choreo last year was a concern for me but we got mirage and O and i completely flipped out. i got so emotional watching nine during the ballads because he REALLY felt the lyrics he was singing. also i saw both his nipples in person. the whole time i'm thinking about how i loved the draping of his jacket and then...there they were. and then kb had to follow suit 🙃 also i thought i was safe not being at barricade but rie managed to still make way too much eye contact multiple times. THE ENCORE WAS THE BEST, LITERALLY TAILOR-MADE FOR ME. we got OOO me (!!!!!!! FINALLY), blOssOM, and angel. i was genuinely so upset when it ended because it got SO hype at the end like we were at a festival. and kb and mill were showering the audience with their water bottles and it completely ruined my hair before the snapshots but now i'm thinking we need a waterbomb festival in this city.

so then anyway the snapshot process was annoying. they did premium first and made standard folks wait until they were done and they were still adamant about no phones but i was bored as hell but everyone else i was talking to had either left or had premium. didn't feel like starting up a conversation with anyone new because i was getting people-d out by then. i only got nine and yoojung since i got the rest of the members last year. when i got up to nine, i tripped right in front of him and he reached out and caught me 😵‍💫 nothing monumental happened with yoojung, thank goodness. the photos turned out well so i left but i was beginning to wish i had also bought a mill ticket but oh well.

 Bu dizinin konusu için bir zayıflama hikayesi olarak düşünebilirsiniz. Kang Joo eun (Shin Min-A) kendine bir hedef koymasını ve o hedef için çaba harcamak gerektiğini öğrenme sürecini görüyoruz. Lise yıllarında oldukça güzel bir kızken meslek hayatına atılınca zaman içerisinde fazla kilo alan başrolümüz, erkek arkadaşının da olumsuz davranışları nedeni ile kendisini değiştirme kararı alıyor.

Eskiden yaşadığı yerde Daegu’nun Venüsü olarak bilinirken, şuan yaşadığı ortamda görünüşü ile çeşitli zorbalıklara maruz kalmaktadır. Yaptığı bir iş seyahatinde ünlü bir sağlık koçu ile karşılaşır ve onu kendisini zayıflatması için ikna etmeye çalışır. Ünlü sağlık koçu ise medyada John Kim (So Ji-Sub) olarak bilinse de kimse yüzünü ve gerçek kimliğini bilmemektedir. Yanında bir menejer (Henry ) ve eğitim verdiği US dövüşçüsü (Sung Hoon) vardır.

Tanışma ve ikna kısmını geçtiğimizde ise diziye giriş yapmış oluyoruz. Öncelikle çok da zayıf olmayan bir insan olarak söylemeliyim ki başrolümüz kesinlikle şişman değildi. Plastik makyaj ile yaptıkları şişmanlatma çabası bana çok yapay geldi. Bir çok filmde ya da dizide bu tarz konuları bir bölümde halledip, karşımıza zapzayıf bir insan olarak çıkarıyorlar, o konuda hakkını vereyim, diziye zayıflama hikayesi ince ince işlenmişti. Tatlı tatlı bölümlere yaymışlar, her bölüm kızımızın ne kadar çaba harcadığını bize göstermişler.

Bu süre zarfında US dövüşçüsü ve menajerle kurduğu arkadaşlık kesinlikle çok sevimliydi. Birbirlerine destek olup, arkadaş oldular. Tabi ki sadece zayıflama hikayesi olmayacağını hepimiz biliyorduk. Zayıflama macerası sırasında yakınlaşan koçumuzla şişman kızımız izleyiciye sıcacık bir hikaye verdiler. Başta koç rolünde oynayan So Ji-Sub ‘yi yakıştırmamıştım ama ilerleyen bölümlerde fikrim değişti. Hatta baya karizmatik bir abimiz olduğu konusunda netleştim. Şişman olduğu düşünülen kızımızı oynayan Shin Min-A ‘ya ise, plastik makyajından ötürü dizinin sonuna kadar hiç ısınamadım.

Genele baktığımızda çok klasik bir senaryosu olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Bu klasik senaryoyu sıkmadan ince detaylarla süsleyerek başarılı bir şekilde tamamlamışlar. Özellikle gamze atma sahnelerinde aşırı cringe olsam da, genel olarak beğendim. Araya kattıkları drama ile de baharatlandırmışlardı. İzlediğim birçok Kore dizisine oranla, Kore dizilerine yeni başlayacakların bile sevebileceği şeker şerbet bir yapım olmuş. İlk defa Kore dizisi izlemek isteyen arkadaşlarıma bu diziyi öneriyorum.

Sonuç olarak, kdrama klişelerinin hepsini yaparak finalize etseler de dizi hikayesi güçlü, oyuncuları kaliteli bir yapımdı.

His assumption that they would wait for him was obviously wrong, so he makes his way back to the dressing room on his own. He pushes the door open and finds that within the time it has taken him to use the bathroom and come back, the dressing room has been completely cleared out.

This is... great.

Even his coat is gone with his phone and wallet in its pockets. So now he’s phoneless, penniless, and memberless, left alone at the venue. He internally debates asking to borrow someone’s phone but he doesn’t have any of his members’ phone numbers memorized so that would be fruitless. Maybe they haven’t left yet and if he hurries he can make it to the car park before they leave.

A brisk seven-minute jog later and he’s wandered around the parking garage and found no sign of any of his members. Retreating back into the Gocheok Sky Dome empty handed and significantly colder than before, he waits near the exit and hope his members will come back for him.

Jeonghan knocks on Junhwan’s bedroom door, the youngest boy’s coat over one of his arms. He could have easily given Junhwan’s coat to one of his dorm mates, but he wanted to check in on Junhwan after the busy day they’ve had even if they do live on different floors.

“Hwannie, I have your coat in case you are wondering where it... was...”

A quick survey of the room tells Jeonghan that Junhwan is nowhere to be found within his room.

“Junhwan?” Jeonghan calls into the dorm.

He waits to see if the tall boy will come around the corner to find him because he doesn’t like shouting back. A minute later and still no Junhwan.

“Does anybody know where Junhwan is?” Jeonghan calls.

“Is he not in his room?” Seungcheol asks.

“No.”

“Bathroom?” Seungcheol tries.

“Not Junhwan,” Wonwoo calls from inside the bathroom.

Jeonghan pokes his head into another room, “Jihoon, is he with you?”

Jihoon takes his earbuds out, “Who?”

“Never mind.” Jeonghan turns and shouts into the dorm, louder this time, “Does anybody know where Junhwan is?”

Seokmin and Mingyu look at one another from across the kitchen, fear immediately etched onto their features; they had been the ones to tell the staff they were ready to go after coming back from the bathroom, without Junhwan.

“Junhwan-ah!”

The addressed boy looks toward the call of his name and spots GFriend making their way down the hallway toward the exit. He pushes himself off the wall and catches Yerin as she runs up to him, bending over to let the older girl hug him around the shoulders. Beyond Seventeen and GFriend’s mutual respect and friendship, the girls have always been exceptionally fond of Junhwan, Yerin especially.

“Are you taking care of your members?” Yerin teases.

He laughs, “Yeah, definitely.”

“Where are the other boys?” Yuju asks, looking around, “They didn’t forget about you, did they?”

Junhwan doesn’t respond, knowing how it would sound if he admitted that that is exactly what happened.

Sowon turns toward him slowly, “Tell me they did not actually forget you.”

Junhwan sends her a strained, slightly terrified smile.

“I am going to have A WORD with Seungcheol about this,” Sowon fumes as she pulls out her phone.

“Noona, it’s okay-“

“No, it’s not, Hwan-ah,” Eunha says, patting his arm, “You’re just too nice to be mad at them.”

“Imagine Junhwan angry,” SinB muses.

As Junhwan blinks awkwardly at the members of GFriend as they look up at him and try to imagine him being mad, Sowon is typing out what looks to be a very angry text to his leader.

“Girls, we need to get going,” the girls’ manager calls out to them.

“Oppa!” Umji calls suddenly, “Can we give Junhwan a ride back to his dorm?”

“Oh, no, that’s okay-,” Junhwan starts to protest, but his voice is buried as the other five members all start begging their manager to let them get Junhwan back to his dorm safely.

“Please, oppa?”

“His members don’t love him enough and he’s stranded here!”

“You don’t want to be the reason he has to spend the night here, do you?”

The man looks very worn but eventually gives in, “Alright, alright. Let’s just get going. You all have early rehearsal tomorrow for the KBS Song Festival.”

The girls cheer and Yerin and Umji grab either of his arms to pull him along. As they walk through the parking garage to get to the girls’ van, Yerin notices he only has a hoodie on while she and her members all wear winter coats.

“Aren’t you cold, Hwannie?” she asks him.

“I guess a little. My coat was gone when I got back to the dressing room after everyone had gone-...”

Junhwan probably shouldn’t have told the already displeased girls that not only had his members forgotten him at the venue, but they left him without a coat in the middle of winter. Simultaneously, Yerin and Umji start to shed their coats and wrap him in them, which doesn’t work very well as he is nearly a head taller than both of them and several clothes sizes larger.

“I’m going to sue your members for custody!” Sowon shouts.

“Noona, I’ve been legal since the beginning of the year; you can’t-“

“Watch me!”

Yerin and Umji end up hugging Junhwan from both sides to keep their coats around him.

“Guys, I’m really fine.”

“It’s below freezing!” Yerin says.

“And it’s our job to keep you alive until we return you to your members,” Umji adds.

“I’m debating on keeping him,” Sowon says, “Do you guys want to just keep him since Seventeen can’t take care of him?”

There’s a resounding “YES” from the other members that echoes around the concrete of the car park.

“Girls, we can’t keep Seventeen’s maknae,” their manager tells them tiredly.

“Boo,” Eunha pouts.

Junhwan’s entrance into the dorm isn’t noticed due to all the shouting happening within. He takes his shoes off and is slightly surprised when no one notices him walk over to where all the members have gathered in the living room of the lower floor dorm. It doesn’t take him long to figure out what they’re arguing about.

“How could you forget about Junhwan?! We kind of need him!” Jun demands.

“He’s 185 centimeters tall; you don’t just lose him!” Jihoon says.

“It’s not like anyone else noticed he was missing either!” Mingyu defends himself and Seokmin.

“He was supposed to be in Jeonghan’s van!” Seokmin says, pointing at the older member. “Why didn’t he notice his precious baby wasn’t in the car with him?”

“Hey, guys?” Hwan says, but he goes unnoticed still.

“Chan drags him to his car if they’re not in the same one all the time; I figured that’s where he was!” Jeonghan argues.

“Don’t blame me!” Chan shouts.

“Guys-“

“If you’re going to blame anyone, blame Seungcheol! He’s supposed to keep track of everyone!” Chan deflects blame onto the leader.

“I am not! That is not one of my responsibilities!” Seungcheol says.

“GUYS!”

Though he never is, Junhwan can be loud when he wants to be. His shout can be heard above all the arguing. The very rare circumstance of hearing Junhwan’s voice at that volume shuts everyone up and turns their attention to him.

“I’m fine,” he says when all their eyes land on him.

“JUNHWAN!”

The youngest boy immediately has six different people hugging him from seven different angles and about eighteen voices all rapid firing questions and apologies at him. He can’t get a word in edgewise to tell them it’s fine or explain how he got home.

“Guys! Let the boy breathe!” Jihoon yells, getting the others to back off.

The mass of members back away from Junhwan, who looks frazzled as he fixes his hoodie.

“Alright, like I said, I’m fine,” Junhwan says. “I was waiting to see if you guys were going to come back when GFriend offered me a ride home. They also told me to tell you that ‘if they ever hear about you leaving me someplace in the future they will not hesitate to ruin all of your idol images; they have blackmail and are not afraid to use it.’”

Junhwan finishes reciting the girl group’s warning and finds his members look plenty scared by the threat.

“They made me promise to say that,” Junhwan explains. “Also, Seungcheol hyung, I think there are several strongly worded texts from Sowon that you might want to reply to.”

Seungcheol grabs his phone out of his pocket and unlocks it quickly. Without much else to say, Junhwan snaps his fingers awkwardly at his sides.

“Alright,” he says. “I’m gonna go shower.”

Em paralelo a história, Oh Ri On (Park Seo Joon), irmão gêmeo de Oh Ri Jin, é um grande escritor que está determinado a descobrir todos os segredos do herdeiro.

Tive o prazer de assistir muitos doramas, porém até hoje nenhum me conquistou tanto quanto este. Confesso que os primeiros episódios quase me fizeram abandonar a história, mas fico grata em ter insistido. Kill Me, Heal Me é o melhor drama que tive a felicidade de conhecer, uma história inesquecível com personagens marcantes que fazem você se envolver completamente com o enredo proposto pelo autor. O ator Ji Sung dá um SHOW no quesito atuação, fazendo com que os espectadores se sintam convencidos que cada personalidade é de fato uma pessoa diferente. Através disso, somos levados a nos envolver com cada uma delas, entender o motivo de estarem ali e o peso que cada uma carrega. Os episódios são surpreendentes, criativos e extremamente divertidos. Pode ter certeza, não existem arrependimentos ao assisti-lo. Esse dorama vai te conquistar!

Oh My Ghost (2015)

Na Bong Sun (Park Bo Young) é extremamente tímida, possuindo uma baixa auto-estima que atrapalha não só seu trabalho como também faz com que ela não tenha amigos e não consiga se aproximar da pessoa que ama.  A jovem possui um dom que a permite ver fantasmas, apesar de ter essa habilidade especial Bong Sun não consegue ver isso como algo bom.

Certo dia, a jovem é possuída por Shin Soon Ae (Kim Seul Gi), uma sedutora fantasminha que está desesperada porque seu tempo na terra está acabando e ela precisa ir para “o outro lado”, pois pode se tornar um espírito do mal. O acontecimento faz com que Bong Sun de repente se transforme em uma mulher confiante e dinâmica, o que chama a atenção de Kang Sun Woo (Jo Jung Suk), o dono do restaurante onde ela trabalha, um arrogante famoso chef de culinária, a quem secretamente a mocinha tem uma queda. As duas garotas então decidem se ajudar.

Oh My Ghost é surpreendente, o que parecia ser somente uma história clichê da menina tímida e sem graça que se apaixona pelo chefe descolado, se torna uma comédia divertida que se desenvolve e cativa de forma agradável. A fantasminha rouba a cena do começo ao fim, proporcionando bons momentos com muitas gargalhadas e trazendo uma ótima narrativa com sua história, que se revela algo diferente daquilo que estamos acostumados a ver em diversos doramas. Um outro grande destaque é o vilão que apresenta uma ótima história pessoal e um bom desenvolvimento, tornando a trama mais envolvente.

Oh My Venus

Kang Joo Eun (Shin Min Ah) era linda, popular, invejada por todas as outras garotas e desejada por todos os meninos na época do ensino médio, tudo isso pelo fato de se encaixar nos padrões de beleza, um corpo lindo e um rosto considerado perfeito. Com o passar dos anos ela conseguiu tudo o que queria, um emprego estável e um relacionamento perfeito de 15 anos com seu namorado do ensino médio, Im Woo Sik ( Jung Gyu Woon). Porém com o tempo a personagem se descuidou tanto com sua saúde quanto com seu corpo e acabou ficando com sobrepeso. As coisas começam a desandar no dia do seu aniversário de namoro, quando Woo Sik decide terminar com ela, deixando a protagonista arrasada.

Ao voltar de uma rápida viagem de negócios que fez para o Estados Unidos, Joo Eun tem um embaraçoso encontro no avião com o famoso personal trainer Kim Yeong Ho (So Ji Sub), que após se envolver em um escândalo acabou sendo forçado a voltar para a coreia, no intuito de esperar que as coisas se acalmem. Neste vôo, Joo Eun passa mal por ingerir pílulas, cafeína e outras bebidas, atento o personal acaba salvando-a.

Em sua volta para Coréia, a protagonista se depara com uma cena que corta seu coração, seu ex-namorado estava traindo-a este tempo todo com sua nova chefe, Oh Soo Jin (Yoo In Young), uma antiga amiga da escola.  A situação espantosamente proporciona um segundo encontro com Kim Yong Ho, que novamente a salva de um cenário humilhante. Determinada a mudar a advogada decide pedir ajuda para voltar a sua boa forma física.

Oh My Venus é uma adorável comédia romântica, que vale a pena ser assistida. Na minha opinião o que a história quer transmitir não é o fato da protagonista tentar se adequar aos padrões impostos pela sociedade, mas sim o momento em que ela entende que ela tinha suas próprias escolhas e que sua saúde era muito importante independente do formato do seu corpo ou sua aparência, ela devia se cuidar e se amar.  A história de amor é bem desenvolvida, o casal principal se ama além daquilo que os olhos revelam. Outro ponto positivo são os personagens secundários, que poderiam até ganhar uma história só para eles.

Chapter 3

She asks for my number

The beginning of DU as a first year student is awesome. Due to the elections you get to have free canteen days, rallies in college where you get a chance to shout sometimes anything you wish for just need a little group and free trips to the amusement parks, parties. Just the only prerequisite is you must know when it is happening.

Disclaimer: My first trip was a total disaster.

I reached my college, that 2 hours of shity journey. From the bus to metro and again to bus towards college. There I saw a bus ready to leave from the college gate. So, again the bus in which I had to stand for 2.5 hours to reach the venue, listening to those ‘Nare Bazi’(Slogan shouting) all the while. The awesome part is we never got the entry in the event. When we reached the place was swarming with students, the candidate who promised entry was nowhere to be seen who, was part of the bus we were travelling shouting the most. Well, as I told you already a disaster. I still remember that boring back ride still thinking what the hell happened. Slowly with those thoughts I was standing at my coaching.

And saw her.

Oh in the last chapter I missed out on the conversation I had with her.Well she promised to help this junior out. Yeah! I was the junior. She was coming for her second year subject in the coaching and me for CA. So I finally get a senior for support who was the hot chick in college and the sweetest girl I ever met. The girl who was ready to help me out in just one meeting.

The only good thing happened till now after my admission.

And this guy(me) was ready to use the full found freedom in college to use for all the parties thrown by these vote hungry political parties.(Well you must know one thing, I have never gone on the voting day in college Ever).

So, after seeing her, this junior went to her, had that cordial talk, saw her smile(the best part) and asked her for help from the girl who parties her whole first Sem and got passing marks only in 1 subject.

“Ap jate ho na roj college, muje btana na kb bhar jar he hai.”(You go to college regularly, please tell me when we are going out again.)

You know in my heart I knew she will help me out.

But one problem existed. How will she tell me?

We didn’t meet regularly, coaching was on alternate days and I missed college on purpose and sitting at home and studying.

I actually thought of asking her but didn’t wana sound so desperate as she already had a line boys behind her and didn’t wana loose this light hearted talk we used to have even though it was just a couple of times.

And then she said the words I will tease her forever.

“Acha, muje apna number do mai message kr dungi”(Give me your number and I will text you.)

This was the moment I truly hid the happiness that I felt that moment. This was the moment will be written in my heart and my mind forever.

This was the moment of the start or so I thought.

So Here’s Chapter 3, released because our boys got their first win and let’s spread some ATEEZ love, Yeah? 

The evening seems to end so fast. It's as though it didn't happen at all. You're home now, a few hours have passed since you left the venue, heartbroken and crushed.

"It's all a game to them." you sigh as you sit down, "They were born to do this to women, or maybe they just like to." Laying back you stare up at the ceiling in distaste.

You lay there, trying to figure out what went wrong. You did everything you could think of. Wooyoung didn't want anything to do with you, and if he did, he was sending mixed signals. Rolling to the side to face the wall, you notice a few tears leaking from your eyes. Had it really hurt you that bad? Maybe it's just because this is your first crush since the breakup. Yeah, that had to be the answer.

"No more fan events for me." steeling yourself and wiping the tears from your cheeks, "And no more K-pop."

Maybe that would be a vain threat to yourself. You had to work all week and there was just too much going on to put any more energy into it.

"I'm an adult, in my 30's. I can't just catch feelings for some random guy, crushes are for teenagers." Rolling over, you decide, it's just for the best.

You fall asleep, not seeing beautiful cat-like eyes, but expressive grey ones, and a beaming smile.

Waking up proved to be harder than you expected when Monday came to pass. It seemed so boring now. It was the same gross Monday morning, with the same ugly outfit, in the same beige building.

Going to work was becoming a chore. You wanted to sit at home and mope, feeling sorry for yourself. The foul mood you were sporting from a bruised ego and busted confidence shined here. It was almost as if, the longer you were in this building, the worse you felt.

Walking home was no different. There were posters on cafe doors of Ateez.

"Fuck my life." You mumble as you walk through the door, "Will these guys never go away? It's like they're haunting me."

You just need to get something to eat, and then you can go back home. Pajamas and junk food were the only things left on your to-do list.

The woman at the counter takes the order, and you sit in a corner booth. Looking out the window wishing for the mess you've made to clean itself up.

A buzzing startles you from a lovely daydream about warm summer weather. Your food is finished and you walk quickly to grab it, and back out the door past that poster again.

"I just want to go home." tears slip from your eyes. You were starting to think that it did hurt more than you originally thought.

It didn't stop you from grabbing the paper off the door, with every intention of throwing it in the nearest garbage can. Once you're in front of one, you can't bring yourself to chuck it in.

"I've got to be the worst at life. I'm just hurting myself." Stuffing the paper in your bag, you walk toward home.

Pajamas and Junk food achieved and Min Seo out of the country for a shoot, you're home alone. Just your whirling thoughts to keep you company.

"Alright Y/N, just pull that poster out and read it. Then throw it straight into the trash." You grab the paper out, reading it aloud, "Ateez Fan sign, at KBS Studios, Friday"

"It must be for an Afterschool pop chart show or something. Why else would KBS be involved?" you question softly

"I understand the whole promotion for the new album, but why are there so many different fan events?" You sit down on the floor, advertisement still in hand.

"Wooyoung looks so gorgeous here. He's so gorgeous all the time." Closing your eyes to the pain ripping through your chest.

"Maybe if I go see him, and just be myself, it'll all work out. Just one more time." A tear hits the paper, staining it and making the ink run. "I could sneak my phone number to him in a gift. Then I'll see what his intentions are."

You tilt your head back, laying the paper down to wipe both hands over your cheeks. Staining them with your pain.

"This is my last chance. I have to make it count." You stand, sticking the poster up to the fridge with a magnet. "Min Seo won't be home for another week, so I'll have to go at it alone. I got this."

With a reserve of confidence you didn't know you had. You snatched up your phone and bought the ticket, walking back to the bedroom.

"I have to do this for my own sanity. If not, I may just go crazy. You've got this Y/N!" Nodding at yourself in the mirror.

"I'm just gonna go to work the rest of the week and before I know it, it'll be Friday." You flop onto your bed.

The rest of the week goes by agonizingly slow. Anxiety bares it's teeth every time you think of how close you're getting.

When you get off of work Thursday you remember something very important, "Oh shit, the gift! I have to get something I can hide my number in. Shhhiiiittt." smacking your palm to your forehead.

"I'm so damn forgetful. Why is it always me?!" you say to the sky, where you hope someone is listening to give some kind of answer to your stupidity.

This plan won't work without the proper pieces, and you didn't remember the main one. Now instead of going home to relax, you have a pain in the ass trip to Hongdae to try to find the perfect gift for Wooyoung.

Hongdae is always busy in the evening. You liked it here when you first moved, but now you see it for what it is. A nightclub infested haven for young people, and the inability to avoid stepping in vomit on the sidewalks.

"So. Fucking. Gross." As you step around, dodging the drunk and the sick.

A small shop in a back alley catches your eye, tiny keychains hang from racks in the window. You walk through the glass door, greeting the older woman behind the counter with a smile.

You see it out of the corner of your eye as you walk the back row. A keychain coin purse shaped like a skull and crossbones, it even had a tiny zipper on the back.

"Perfect." You snatch it up and nearly run up to the woman at the counter. You were so excited you could hardly pull out your card to pay.

You found the perfect gift. What happens tomorrow is decided by fate, and maybe you could pick up a nice dress on your way back to the bus stop.

4 hours in Hongdae and a crammed bus ride later, you're finally home. Kicking off your shoes in the entryway you jog into your room, dumping out a bag onto the bed.

"Here's Wooyoung's present," you smirk, "And here's my new dress." You pick it up and hold it to yourself. The dress was beautiful on the mannequin in the shop window. The length hit just above your knee, in a grey toned fabric with the collar in white.

You hang it from the closet door and grab your phone to text Min Seo. Your fingers flying across the letters, excitement coursing through you.

**Min Seo, I'm going to the Ateez thing tomorrow at KBS.

You weren't expecting her reply so fast.

**Y/N! You're going without me? :(

You smiled at that, she hated to be left out of the fun.

**Yes Minie, I got a new dress for the occasion, I have a plan to get Wooyoung's attention this time.

**Oh yeah? Tell me this plan, maybe I can use it on San

Her reply comes bookended with drooling and eggplant emojis. You can't help but roll your eyes.

**Damn girl, calm down. Lol. I'm gonna put my phone number in this

You take a picture of the tiny toy and send it to her

You finish it off with a few heart emojis and a rolling laughing before tossing your phone on the bed.

"Well, tomorrow is the big day. Let's not fuck it up now." Your pep talk ends in a sigh. Closing your eyes for any sleep you can seem to get.

Sleep didn't last as long as the excitement did. You found out quick that it was gonna be a long night, and an even longer day tomorrow.

A long day it was, filled with boring meetings and your mind drifting off to Wooyoung. What would you say to him without sounding like a stalker? This was looking like less of a good idea, the longer you thought about it.

The thought of walking home seemed like torture and taking the bus, worse. A cab seemed like the best option, even though you hated how high the rates were. You flagged one down and rode home in silence. Your mind racing.

Walking into the apartment, shutting the door and leaning against it. The fatigue of sleep loss and the excitement had you burned out at this point.

"Just get it over with. You'll feel better tomorrow, and you can sleep when you die." throwing your bag on the couch and throwing off clothes in every direction on your way to the bathroom.

The process of makeup and hair without Min Seo's help was daunting. It had to be done, even if it was subpar. When you finished, standing to brush the wrinkles from your dress, you thought it was passable at best.

Black heels, your hair braided loosely to one shoulder. The makeup was minimal, only what you knew how to put on. Your eyes were lined, and pink lipstick. You were hoping it was enough to entice Wooyoung, but then you remembered you were going to be yourself.

Dressing up like a high dollar whore last time was an epic fail. Dressing down the first time got no reaction at all. This time it was just you, and you couldn't help the feeling of it not being enough as you walked out the door. All you could hear over the thundering in your chest was the lock clicking behind you.

KBS studio was a bright building at the end of the block. You'd walked through here with Min Seo, but never by yourself. That thought shot fear through you.

Ticket in hand, you walked to the guard at the door. "Hm, no line." You thought, glancing around to confirm no one else was around.

The guard asked about your purse and the stuffed toy in your hand. You nearly forgot to put your number in it, but as he unzipped the top and looked inside to find it empty, you were grateful for your forgetful brain.

"You can pass." The guard nodded his head to the side, "Door 3. The line is in there."

"Thank you!" You scrambled to grab your bag, hooking the keychain on it.

The building itself was much larger than it looked from the street. You followed where the guard pointed you, hearing hushed voices from behind the door stamped with a red 3.

"He wasn't joking. This line is ridiculous." standing with crossed arms you realized why Min Seo always wanted to leave the apartment early.

The table At the front of the room had Ateez seated neatly in a row. Between you and them, a winding queue that looked like a snake of people.

This time was different, it looked more professional than the last fan event. Security stood at either end of the table and between the 8 boys. As the line moved slowly you could take your time to look. You knew mostly who was who now, although you did mix up Yunho and Seonghwa a few times.

Your eyes fell on Wooyoung immediately. He looked so adorable in his sweater with leather straps across his chest. His hair was paler now, almost blonde. His eyes a piercing steel blue.

Grabbing a pen and a small sticky note from your purse you wrote your number down. It was clearly legible. Below the number a tiny heart and Y/N. You folded it up, the line moving slowly still, before putting it in the pouch and pulling the zipper closed.

You were close enough now to hear them talking across the table to the fans stood before them. You clutched the toy skull in your hand, threatening to crush it.

The first one you stood in front of was Yeosang. His smile was adorable, if not a bit mischievous. His hands were thin with long fingers, a piano players hands. A few words were spoken between you as you moved to the next.

Mingi was the bad boy trope. He glanced up at you and bit his lip. While asking if you were excited to see him.

"Is this dude so full of himself that he thinks this actually works?!" You thought, smiling back at him before moving down the line.

When you looked down the table, you saw them. The trio of devilry and filth, sitting like a row of ducks in a pond. San, Wooyoung, and Hongjoong. All sitting beside each other at the end.

"Damn my luck." you said louder then you thought, "Of course they'd all sit together, they probably scheme up which poor girl they're gonna pick on to see if she faints."

You heard Jongho laugh as the next girl had taken your place in front of him. He must've heard you. At least they found you funny, even if they didn't find you charming.

"Well last I checked the score was San had 4, Wooyoung had 6, and Hongjoong had 3. That's been a week ago though." Jongho said as he smirked in your direction.

"Are you planning to be number 5, 7, or 4?" He continued his smile deepening around his eyes.

"I'll just be the first one for you Jongho." You fired back, batting your eyelashes at him. The apples of his smiling cheeks turning rosy.

The line was moving and now you were standing in front of San, and away from Jongho and his inflated ego. You were beside Wooyoung though, and that alone had you nervous.

San seemed to recognize you right away. "Y/N, you came to see me again. Where's Min Seo?"

You noticed he looked a bit sad, not seeing her with you. "She had a modeling contract, so she'll be gone the rest of the week. I came alone this time."

San replied softly, "Ah, tell her to come see me, I miss her lovely smile." he seemed to light up at the thought. It made your heart warm that he felt that way about Min Seo.

While talking with San, you hadn't noticed the eyes that looked over from Wooyoung's other side. Hongjoong was admiring you. "Such a beautiful girl." He thought, as his lip curled into a smirk. He knew you weren't there for him. He had told Wooyoung everything after the last fan event you went to.

Wooyoung had felt so sad for his Hyung then. It seemed to always be like that for Hongjoong. He wasn't the stereotypically pretty man. He was short, with long hair. He didn't follow beauty or fashion trends. There was no way, in his mind, that he could get you away from Wooyoung.

The line moved again, and this was it. Standing in front of Wooyoung. "Goddamnit, why is he so perfect?" you screamed in your head.

Wooyoung glanced up, "Y/N?"

He remembered you. Of all the people he had seen today alone, he knew your name. Your heart soared with new found confidence.

"Wooyoung, you remember my name?" you said, shocked.

"Of course, sweetheart. How can I forget you?" Wooyoung smiled then, but he wouldn't tell you the truth. He knew you alright, if only because Hongjoong Hyung constantly talked about you like you were the last woman on earth.

You stuttered slightly before choking out, "Uh..uhm...I got you something. I put something very special in the pocket, please don't lose it. Alright?"

You handed the toy skull to Wooyoung, your heart hammering away. When he grabbed it from you, his hand brushed yours. Your breath caught in your throat.

The warmth from his fingers and it seemed like all the noise of the event drowned out to silence. It was just the two of you now. He was looking at you with soft eyes and a smile.

"Something special for me?" He looked at the pirate skull noticing the tiny zipper and clipped it to his belt loop. "I'm sure you wrote me a lovely letter, sweetheart. I promise not to let anyone else read it."

Little did you know that Hongjoong had been listening in, barely paying attention to the crying fan in front of him. "She went out of her way for Wooyoung. I'm never going to make this work." He thought to himself, a fake smile plastered on his face.

You stepped in front of Hongjoong, after telling Wooyoung goodbye.

"Hello pink cheeks, back to see me so soon?" Hongjoong spoke softly as he grabbed your hand, interlacing your fingers with his smaller ones.

"Of course Shorty, I need to see my guys every now and then." You crinkled your nose at him, absentmindedly playing with the ring he wore.

He laughed. It was a breathy sound, almost as if it were just for you.

"Did you miss me so much?" He said then, pouting.

You smirked at him, two could play this game, and with no concert, there wasn't a chance for him to lure you in with his hip-swinging ways.

"Hongjoong, are you always so flirty with your fans?" You leaned in, "For a man so small, you have a huge ego."

The words had fallen out of your mouth so quickly you couldn't stop them, and Hongjoong turned a shade of red you hadn't seen before. Wooyoung must've overheard it, by the sound of the squeaking laugh to your left.

Hongjoong leaned closer to you, just as the guard was readying you to leave. "Y/N, don't assume I have a huge anything, that's for me to know, and you to find out."

You glanced into his eyes, and it was over. Time stopped, and it was Hongjoong. His pupils were blown out, and his bottom lip between his teeth. When he let go of your hand, the world started spinning again.

"Come see me again Pink cheeks, I'll miss you." He blew you a kiss.

You nodded and walked to your right in a daze. What the hell just happened, and right in front of Wooyoung? Does Hongjoong have no fucking manners?

"He's the fucking devil." You remarked as you turned back from one more look.

Wooyoung wasn't paying attention but Hongjoong was. His eyes were trained on you. He flicked his tongue out to wet his lips and you felt goosebumps run down your arms.

Hongjoong knew you weren't just playing with him. Somewhere deep down, you meant the things you had said. He just hoped he hadn't scared you.

As the fan event wrapped up, and he had watched you walk through the door and back outside, he turned to Wooyoung.

"What was it?! What did she give you? I need to know." Hongjoong sounded desperate and it broke Wooyoung's heart.

"Here hyung, open it and tell me." Wooyoung unclipped the toy and tossed it to Hongjoong.

He opened it quickly, under the table. A small piece of paper was inside and on it a neatly written phone number with a heart. Hongjoong laid his head on the table. You gave Wooyoung your number, maybe he was wrong.

"What was it, Hyung?" Wooyoung asked, concerned for the color draining from Hongjoong's face.

Hongjoong handed Wooyoung the slip of paper, but he didn't lift his head up. When Wooyoung saw what it was, he swallowed hard.

"Hyung, you know I don't want her! I swear! I can't help it!" Wooyoung said quickly, pulling at Hongjoong's sleeve in an attempt to look pitiful and get mercy.

Hongjoong lifted his head and laid his hand on Wooyoung's.

"I know Wooyoung, I know. I'm not mad at you. Would you mind if I kept her number though?" Hongjoong continued, "I need to know if I'm ever on her mind"

Wooyoung smiled at his leader. Hongjoong was tough, but he had a soft spot and you hit it.

"Sure Hyung, keep it, just don't drag me into it." Wooyoung handed the paper back to his hyung. Who then stuffed it into his wallet.

Hongjoong was going to get his answers, one way or another. Just like a pirate, he was ruthless and wouldn't give up until he had his treasure.

The music was fairly unmemorable, but fit the drama well.

Overall:

This drama special is a little bit special as unlike most Korean dramas which focus on the build up to a relationship it centres in on a couple who have been together for six years and things have gone stale. As they plan their wedding the bride, Kim Ji Won runs into a man from her past. The synopsis describes him as a “lover from the past” but that’s a little strong.

This drama special is written by Kim Eun Ji of Oh My Venus fame, and boy am I glad I didn’t know this going in because my expectations would have been way too high. It also has a pretty excellent cast. I love that the main character’s name is ‘Kim Ji Won’ and her little sister is played by the Kim Ji Won.

They also totally failed at aging down the characters in the past which is  kind one of my favourite things ever.

I’m not super into Bridezillas and the like so I was mostly irritated by the female leads behaviour constantly questioning her fiancé, “why are you marrying me?” and needing the best of the best for her big day. It’s never a good sign when I’m on the verge of screaming, “get some therapy” at a character. But then the last 15 minutes of the drama special changed my feelings about everything as it all fell into place and I sat there weeping along with her. Overall, it was a decent enough watch with two super handsome men for eye candy.

Rating: 7/10

Kaisoo little habits

So in my recent ‘discovering kaisoo’ time  I’ve reached some conclusions.

First of all i want to say :  Realizing Kai might grow to a celebrity status outside Asia due to his model jobs,  I notice this certain reticence on Jongin to be part of that established mannequin world. Don’t get me wrong, i don’t hate it. I mean he’s clearly such a pro, he takes those jobs as any other he does, with responsibility and curiosity ( yes also the money is good, the brands, and maybe in part to flatter a need for attention ) and he does his magic like only he can but…. I feel like it’s not his jam posing at events, being still, posing / walking around a venue like a living proof of godly beauty.  He’s a performer, a dancer,  A SINGER ( i can’t stress the late enough!)  maybe he feels different while doing secluded photoshoots with scenarios, concepts, movements,videos, etc… what I’m trying to say is... that Vogue Korea felt so right for him,  LIKE A VULNERABLE JONGIN TELLING US SOMETHING  ( shit, where is the mermaid fic? )  while he gave such an awkward vibe during that Gucci event…like that day he was not sure if it was Kai or Jongin coming out  ( we can keep talking about this in the comments if any of you want because YES there might be OTHER REASONS

So during that event I noticed this little gesture in the middle of the posing.  He does this touch to his nose with a knuckle ( I know cause I do something similar lmao) that might look all Kai manly & petulant but no, it gives me the feeling he’s coping, mmmm maybe Jongin not entirely comfortable?, insecure? embarrassed?  ( and after watching clips of everybody around him with a phone the whole evening I can tell he was a bit out by the end of the night,  maybe it was Italy effect I don’t know.

So  the nose touch  as his scratching neck & lip lick when : 1- focus on him - they ask/ make him do embarrassing questions/things OR  2-BEAU GETS UNUSUALLY BOLD ON CAMERA .  when?   tell you later.

-On another note, when Kyungsoo is REAAAAAALLY flustered  ( cause : Kim Jongin being the whipped bf risking it all for him in front of cameras )  he SWALLOWS hard, while having one of those ‘i can’t help it ‘ eyes grimace ( ALWAYS HAPPENS IN FRONT OF BOO YES )   Proofs?   1- when Ji asked to kiss his bald head on that concert talk / 2-  when playing the balance game at the pool in Exo’s ladder show ( basically he couldn’t stand to look at his babe flaunting thighs )

4/6 ooo vvip recap

i don't normally do big write-ups but this is primarily for people going to future shows with vvip that are anxious like me and need to know how it works. i just woke up and my brain is a jumbled mess so feel free to ask clarifying questions!

so yeah, my dumbass splurged and went for vvip tickets knowing that i don't like to be perceived but it was ooo, and thank god for tiered entry and the queueing system bc i got to the venue only an hour before they let us in for fansign. they scanned the ticket from my email at the check-in table right before security and then i was in. there were four separate lines for each tier but it was a little confusing once the line started to wrap around so i just...stood somewhere near a railing so i could lean on it. i thought staff would put us in order before entering but they didn't. they let us into the venue about 20 minutes to 6:00. i was queue number 222, so when the line started moving, i found #223 and just stood with them because it seemed like that's what you were supposed to do? but staff said it really didn't matter where you were in line.

when we got in, staff put us in rows based on the order we entered the venue, not based on queue number. they were very strict about where you needed to stand and i could hardly comprehend anything when they were explaining the rundown of fan engagements but i was pretty impressed by how systematic and organized it was when actually started because it ran like clockwork. staff is very good about guiding you and telling you where and when to go.

the boys walked in exactly at 6:00 on the dot. even though i was in the back, the venue was small so i could see them as they walked in. me and the people around me were just staring at each other like 🫢

then the fansign started, and it moved very fast. there's no sitting and talking with members. whatever you manage to say as they pass down your album (bring your own- only the cover may be signed) or poster (vvip benefit- 8.5x11 size) is it so make it count.

then it finally became my turn after 20 minutes or so. the order of members was junji, nine, yoojung, kb, mill, rie. my one regret is that i literally couldn't think of anything to say to them, other than "thank you" very enthusiastically. i did say happy birthday to junji and hand him his birthday card. he said thank you back and said "oh cake!" because i doodled a little cake that said "생일 축하해요" on the card. i handed everyone else their cards and kept saying thank you. on kyubin's envelope, i had it addressed to "hot guy" which he enjoyed very much and he kissed it 🙄 and then...lee sungho. y'all, that man is so insane. he's so terrifying. his eye contact was so incredibly intense like he is staring directly into your soul. in that moment, there was nobody else in that damn venue and if he hadn't handed me back my poster, i would've stayed and kept staring. anyway that was my y/n moment. he started making conversation with me, which i appreciate, so i was able to respond and act like a functioning human being. overall, the boys were all INSANELY good-looking irl. like...pictures and videos do not do them an ounce of justice.

after you get through fansign, you end up about back where you were originally standing and vip joins in behind in for the hi-touch and group photos at some point. it followed the same system as the fansign regarding how they moved us through the line. they had ten people at a time go up and high five the members, then stand behind them to take the photo. for the photo, the members are seated in chairs while fans stand behind, except the fans at both ends kneel next to the members. i stood behind mill. some people got to make heart hands with the members. i did not 😔 the staff took two pictures. i don't know where and how those get posted but i think they come out in a couple weeks? 🤷‍♀️

and then it was over with 45 minutes left before the show started. at that point, staff started calling out vvip queue numbers one by one for you to choose where to stand for the show. at our venue there are the main floor and two balconies, and i chose to stick to the main floor. there were maybe 7 people standing in front of me so i was quite close. i've had one barricade experience and realized it's not for me (can't see over my glasses), so i was pleased with how far i was from the stage. i was right in front of a speaker, which i later came to realize was uhh...not smart. i may need to invest in earplugs.

for the concert itself, i was originally not very happy with how short the setlist was but my legs were cramping and i had an awful stitch in my side by the end so it was fine for the sake of my well-being. the setlist was mostly the same except for the solos and encore. be mine and beat for solos and a song of ice&fire/angel/ooo you for encore (they did that for ME).

some highlights about the concert:

they are VERY good performers. super engaging and energetic. junji, mill, and kb do a lot of fan service. nine, yoojung, and rie mostly focus on the choreo but they completely kill it. they've all got great stage presence. also it's so satisfying to see their formations in person.

kb held nine by the neck at some point during gaslighting. unprompted. unprovoked. for no reason. that should have been me.

the members had us sing happy birthday to junji early on in the show. rie was YELLING happy birthday to junji in his ear. he kept acting very possessive toward junji throughout the night, it was hilarious.

kb told junji to blow a kiss at the audience, but junji leaned in toward kb instead. i love OnlyGayOf.

kb started acting like he was surfing for some reason. i think rie and junji? acted like the waves. they're so corny as usual, i love them.

they randomly started playing charades but that didn't work out so random long jump competition? i don't really know what was happening because i was distracted looking for my friend but rie lost and had to do a sexy dance punishment.

kb had us yelling HOIIINGYA multiple times throughout the show. he had us chanting in korean during the encore. he made us call him handsome and cool (멋있다, not 맛있다- he made that very clear), and he made us call nine cute 😤

junji's real birthday celebration was right before they took pics with the audience. they surprised him with a cake and we sang happy birthday twice. junji cried 🥺 mill had us chanting "don't cry!" then nine started chanting "cry, cry, cry!" which was so typical of wookjin behavior. then they also sang happy birthday to a girl in the audience, it was sweet.

they took song requests during one of the ments. kb told us to write the song name on your phone and hold it up. i tried to get picasso but i failed 😔 all i remember was byredo...and maybe desert?

wookjin sang daisy so my life is complete. also his body rolls bewitched me, body and soul 💀

and that's all! i go to a ton of concerts and i have high standards even for my faves but this was absolutely one of my favorites. i love these boys so much ❤️

2019.02.23 Hyun Joong New Way Concert @ Busan

Updated My Special 501 Dates

Kind of late writing this but here goes! This is the first time I watched a concert in Korea so there’s so much I want to talk about! So once again I’m going to split this Fan Account in sections.

Prologue

To be honest I really never pictured myself watching a concert in Korea. The thought of watching a concert there just felt so distant. Even last year when I went to Macau for his concert it felt like something very far away. Furthermore I don’t understand Korean so I really didn’t think I would be able to get tickets nor did I want to get it through those resellers and let them earn big bucks for doing nothing. So the idea just really didn’t come to mind until one day I just got bored and decided to take a look at the ticketing. I must say how thankful I am that Interpark has an English site that is pretty user friendly. I was quite surprised to see that there were quite a lot of seats left and a little sad to be honest. But in a way it’s kind of good because I managed to get pretty good seats as you can see below in orange.  

Although this time I wasn’t as close as the one in Macau, it felt much better because I was in the center and i could view the whole stage at all times! It was absolutely amazing. So another concern about watching it in a foreign country is a didn’t really want to travel alone. A main issue I thought was going to be ordering food alone at restaurants, it just seems sad. I asked a lot of people to go with me but no one was interested until I asked my aunt and she was totally on board haha. So off I went to book my flight hotel and of course the concert tickets. To be honest if I couldn’t find anyone to go with me I was already prepared to go alone because I really think chances are rare and I should treasure these chances and go watch whilst I’m still young. 

Oh and one more thing is it’s so cheap watching it in Korea, all the seats have the same price, I paid for my aunt’s ticket as well and both tickets together is equivalent to one ticket in HK (the expensive category). On top of that our seats were great so it was totally worth it! 

Just Before The Concert

Again this time I found out on Weibo that there was going to be a handshake event again!! I was so shocked because this didn’t happen in the Seoul concerts earlier this month so I was super happy and excited. 

On the day we went to venue KBS Busan Hall and collected our tickets there, it was much quicker than I expected and the logistics was pretty good. We queued up based on the last name of the booking name and quickly collected the tickets. 

So I noticed the people around me were speaking in Cantonese so I asked the person in front of me if she was also from Hong Kong. Turns out a bunch of Hong Kong fans came together to support Hyun Joong. I was actually quite surprised by the amount of HK fans that came. There were at least 20 fans from HK! It was quite nice to meet people from home in a foreign concert. 

A very interesting thing I noticed is that around 70% of the people there were from overseas, mainly from Japan! Only about 30% were from Korea. 95% of the fans were middle age in their 40s to 50s hahaha. My aunt and I were probably close to the youngest ones hahhaha. My aunt kept saying how she felt like she was very young compared to the rest and clearly I also felt the same ^^

A special thing about watching concert in Korea is all the rice wreaths. This is a very Korean thing where fans raise money to donate rice wreaths and the rice will be donated to people that need it. It’s a great way to show your love for your idol and also do something good for the community. I’ve seen these in pictures but it’s the first time seeing it in person and I really like it! There was a whole bunch of these, mainly from Japanese fans and some from Hong Kong fan groups!

Compared to the shows in Hong Kong and Macau there weren’t a lot of freebies. No one was giving out banners, I was actually pretty surprised. Turns out when we went inside the hall there were some staff waiting to give out these banners that say “love you very much” in Busan dialect. We raised these up when he sang Love Song (I really like this song from his new album!! 

The Concert

Quick summary of the concert, he sang a total of 28 songs, 6 more than the Seoul concert! Of which there were a few Busan special songs! 

He started the concert with New Way, i managed to sneak one pretty bad photo but I couldn’t take any more cause the security was very strict :( 

Everyone stood up immediately! We actually stayed standing up for one and a half hours until Hyun Joong told us to sit down before Haze lol. 

Anyway he sang most of his new songs and the backdrop (?) the video that played in the background was really pretty. It was mainly scenry but it fit in very well with New Way, Why, Misery etc. 

Hyun joong mentioned that Busan stage would be a little different, suddenly the band was playing an interesting arrangement and then oh my god they played LET ME BE THE ONE!!! I WAS SO SHOCKED. Hyun Joong said this was a Busan special, he re-arranged SS501′s Let me be the one and it was just amazing. Everyone screamed like crazy, all the feels my god! I actually thought that was the only surprise stage until he sang Love Like This later in the concert. I must say he really improved his singing a lot, I think partly is cause he didn’t dance so he has more focus on his singing. He used to find it difficult to reach the high notes in Love Like This but he seemed to reach it with ease this time. Another thing is you can actually hear Saengie’s voice in the Love Like This backing!!! All my group feels my god! 

The concert actually seemed pretty long, it was 3 full hours. He didn’t change clothes at all and really committed to singing as many songs as he could. When he sang Lucky Guy the Japanese fans actually followed him and danced, it was so cute looking at some old ladies dance hahaha. They have more energy than a 23 year old (me). LOL 

When he sang Lucky Guy for the second time during encore he walked down towards the fans and he was so crazy close to me!!! I mean super close!!!! I managed to take a very short video and here are two screenshots from the video.

It was quite funny during encore because he was just going to sing three songs (ASTRAEA, Lucky Guy, Moonlight) but we kept chanting so he sang So What and said ti’s the last song. But we wanted more. Eventually he sang Kiss Kiss again!!!! I actually can’t decided if Kiss Kiss or Please is my favourite song but Kiss Kiss is just sooooo sweet. And this time it was really cute because he made us repeat the kiss kiss part so many times. It sounded super duper cute though, we all did a great job in my opinion. It was so cute!!!!  Handshake

After the concert there was the handshake event. He stood near the door and we queued up one by one and shook his hand as we left. This is the THIRD time i shook his hand and I really want t o say his hand is still ever as soft as before. I’m really lucky cause all three concerts i’ve been I was able to shake his hands. I hope in the future I’ll still have this luck <3 I still really appreciate his dedication in shaking every fan’s hand, got to love him so much <3 

Post Concert Feels

I’m really really really really glad I took the step to fly over for this concert. It was worth everything! I had a great break from work as well and traveled around Busan with my aunt and had a great time. My aunt wasn’t actually a fan of Hyun Joong but because we were going to watch his concert she actually ‘prepared’ and listened to his songs. The funny thing is now she’s addicted to his songs hahaha. 

I think watching a concert in Korea feels really different. The people feel different. In Hong Kong or in Macau there’s a lot of Mainland Chinese and although I’m Chinese myself, I cannot associate well with the older generation of Mainland Chinese people. They tend to be ill mannered and pushy. This time everyone was very disciplined. Hyun Joong jumped off stage a couple of times and walked through the crowd but the fans just stayed at their respective positions and cheered. If this happened in Hong Kong or Macau, fans would jump at him and it wouldn’t have been possible for him to walk arouond. I really appreciate how Japanese fans are so polite and well mannered. Absolutely loved it! 

Hyun Joong said he wants to have a concert in Seoul, Busan, and Jeju evvery year. I really think I”m going to go watch every year. I hope this becomes a tradition and I can grow old together with him. 

A key feeling i felt this time was he aged quite a bit, maybe cause he got fatter. But it’s also kinda cute cause it makes him more human and seem just like us. Again I’m so grateful to have him in part of my llife <3 Can’t wait for a SS501 comeback, feels like it’s not too far!!

Good thing I'm watching twice & care more about the characters than the mystery. I suddenly figured out why people like writing high school AUs.

KR: *Checks his watch twice over* That's true, I thought she meant all the boys but then castle isn't one of the boys he's some tagalong but then she DID want him to go with them & it's good bc then she gets to see becks working w/o castle. I need to stop I need to not I can't do this this is too good i will die i have work in an hour (well what I mean is I need to leave for work in an hour & a third & then I actually start my shift in nearly 3 hours but it is not a short bus ride & I need to be there early enough to change but that means I need to take the earlier bus instead of the bus that gets me there only 5 minutes on-time rather than 15 minutes early ugh I forgot to take my anti-depressants yesterday & so I'm hella angry rn. I don't like having a job. The horrors. Maybe if it was an easier commute, I didn't have to iron clothes, & it was JUST line cooking, no prep, or JUST prep & no line cooking, & I actually understood what I was doing, & I didn't have to take a long bus ride in the heat, & I actually passed for male, & I understood whom I'm supposed to confirm my breaks with, & I only had to work 5 hours instead of anything more like the horrific 8, I would be ok. But sadly that is not the case. I should take my anti-anxieties.)

So I have to go to work in half an hour & I want to punch smth. I'm usually fine once I get there but it's just... starting out is difficult. I can feel my face getting red as I type this from the anxiety. idk what to do for the first part of my shift. idk who to talk to. idk where to get instruction from. The sous chef & the chef are both busy af so I shouldn't talk to them but idk who the shift leader is. I hate doing prep when idk what I'm doing, I hate the cramped space there, I wish I was skinny not necessarily for aesthetic purposes but for mobility purposes. I wish I had a better memory I wish I had better communication I wish we had a 4 hour work day with a four day work week. Except that's full-time, I wish I personally got a 3 day work week. Edit: I'm content with my two day work week. I might be happier with a 3 day work week if I didn't have 8h shifts
