[9:30 p.m] Lying in bed, entwined with each other like it was a farewell night and it really was.

My hand caressed his face, while his hands held my back and arms. It was as if we were afraid of losing each other, as if by magic, on a fateful night, we stopped loving each other. As if the distance we were going to face in these two months of touring would somehow keep us apart.

"I wanted to stay like this with you forever." His voice was heavier and lower than usual.

"Me too." I sighed "Promise you'll come back to me?"

"I promise. But I want you to know that I would never let you go."

“Wait, (Y/N)!” she turned around at the sound. She saw Hyojin rush past the others, stopping just short of two feet away.

“If you’re trying to convince me not to go, Hyojin, I’ve explained a million times-”

“No, I’m not. I just… need to tell you something, before I possibly lose you forever.”

“What is it? I don’t have a lot of time left before the gate closes.”

“It’ll be short, I promise. I can’t say it out loud, so come closer.”

(Y/N) raised an eyebrow, but she closed the distance. Before she could think, Hyojin had taken her face in his hands and leaned down to kiss her. She didn’t protest nor fight; she felt no apprehension at all. Instead she moved her lips with his, welcoming the warmth spreading through her body. She barely registered the whoops and hollers of the others in the background.

Separating for a breath, (Y/N) studied Hyojin’s eyes. They didn’t hold sadness, but understanding and a flicker of hope. She couldn’t have hoped for a better goodbye.

“We’ll meet again. I just know it.” He whispered, resting his forehead on hers. “Time doesn’t matter.”

“I hope it won’t.” (Y/N) smiled softly. The moment was ruined with a beep from her tech; there was a minute left.

Hyojin took a step back. “Bye, (Y/N).”

“I’ll see you around, Hyojin.” Waving to the rest of the group, (Y/N) took a step back into the gate. Reality faded into a liminal space, lonely and chilling. Following the road most trodden, (Y/N) easily found her way back to her world.

[11:11PM] You and Wyatt were next door neighbors and pretty much best friends, you shared music, sports and most importantly food. One night he almost bust down your favorite ice cream "YOOOOOOO, let's eat" hearing him you immediately connected your phone to your speaker and dove onto the couch. "How's my favorite boy doin?" "I'm all good, got any new music?" "I'm ahead of you" you said with a giggle. As the night went on and the music kept going you and Wyatt had both meaningless and deep conversations. Love advice, aliens, aesthetic, photography, everything you could think of. As he was talking you swear you heard him say "I never kissed anyone" your attention peaked, "You never kissed?!?!" "Yessss" he said "But you're like, old" you said jokingly Wyatt looked at you but you couldn't read his expression. So you did what any rational person would do, as you were laying on the couch you placed your hand on the side of his face and kissed him. Cause, why not. Wishes do come true.

[9:38 a.m] The white silk bedding touched my skin delicately, the natural light that poured into the room made the environment more comfortable. The lips touching my arms, shoulders, the back of my neck were the softest I'd ever felt.

"Babe" The sweetest voice whispered in my ear.

"Wake up, please." Again his rather wet kisses went up to my cheek and stopped there.

Now I could feel his hair gently touching my face, fighting my will and opening my eyes, I saw him looking at me.

"Good morning. I took the day off today and I want to start the day right." Laughing I felt his lips touch mine passionately.

[7:21 p.m] Watching him walk away, carrying his bags, the things I gave him during our relationship was the worst thing ever. I couldn't breathe, the the anguish and the anger were consuming me, the lump in my throat was already there, it was as if someone was ripping my heart out.

He didn't even look at me, just said he was going to live with her, throwing me away like I was a piece of trash. As we didn't create memories in the past, like I wasn't there for him at his worst times. Even when he betrayed me and lied.

Maybe if I had made a scandal when I found out he was cheating on me, I wouldn't be in this state. But I loved him so much, I had told myself that I would never let him go, even under these circumstances.

If I had been a motherfucker, maybe I wouldn't be in so much pain. If I had ignored my love, I would be making him suffer like he is making me suffer.

“Don’t forget!” MK called out. “I’ll know, don’t worry.”

“No guarantees!” She called back before turning the corner and heading back to her apartment. His statement swirled in her head. If he hasn’t changed...

“What are you planning?” (Y/N) looked at her red-haired friend. She tried not to show her worry. So much pain had come up with the recent encounters and the state of this place, Hyojin would snap under the stress if he wasn’t careful.

“Nothing to worry about. I know that’s what’s on your mind, (Y/N). You’re too easy to read.”

“Am I not allowed to worry about you? How am I supposed to trust your “Oh look at me I’m the strong leader in this group” front when I know just how much all of this has affected you?”

Hyojin’s eyes turned cold. “You don’t understand anything-”

“I lost a friend too! I’ve traveled around just as much as any of you, looking for someone who ended up not wanting to be found! Don’t tell me I don’t understand!”

The hallway fell quiet. It took (Y/N)’s brain a minute to realize that she had actually raised her voice; it was the first time she had shown this much negative emotion around any of the guys, especially Hyojin. The scariest part of it all was that he didn’t seem to care about her distress at all. His eyes were as cold as ever, and his body language had stiffened immensely.

“I’m the one being held responsible, (Y/N). You can cry all you want but it’s my decision to make.”

“I know that, just… don’t leave us behind.”

She knew he wasn’t listening anymore. She stood there in the hall long after he left, watching the tears fall onto the floor. At some point she collapsed, her legs tired of supporting her numb body. She could only watch as he pushed the red button and dissolved into another unknown timespace where they couldn’t follow. Where she couldn’t follow.
