Text
Desiccated coconut is a fresh coconut that has been shredded or flaked and dried. Typically, it is not that sweet in taste. However, it can be more precise to call it as a less dry sweetened flakes. Moreover, it passed the standards of the prestigious Quality Standard test making it superior in terms of chemical and microbiological superiority as well as in ensuring its purity. The aroma and natural flavour of the coconut remains in its flesh for it undergone the drying and grounding only into a fine parched coconut without the use of sweeteners or additives.

Cilicant Oxygen Absorber actively preserve the freshness, flavour, and stability of Pharmaceutical packaged products by limiting oxygen-induced degradation. Food grade desiccant products of Cilicant in Desiccant Pouch preserve the colour, texture, smell, and taste of Processed Food and Edibles, ensuring longer life. - cilicant oxygen absorber
Cilicant Oxygen Absorber
Over the years, CILICANT has been providing superior quality desiccants to the pharmaceutical industry. Our product experts have in-depth knowledge of, and experience of desiccant development gained through years of interacting with and serving various manufacturers in this industry. Based on our extensive assessment of the major failure points of moisture control in pharmaceutical products, we have been able to design ready-made and bespoke active packaging solutions for various applications. Our choice selection of active sorbents caters to the most demanding applications in a broad spectrum of pharmaceutical products. Whether your product requires protection against moisture-induced damage, oxidative degradation, and odour generation amongst others, CILICANT has the perfect sorbent for you.
CREATING SUPERIOR ACTIVATED CARBON THAT SOLVES COMMON CHALLENGES FACED BY ACTIVE PACKAGING
In the pharmaceutical industry, activated carbon, also referred to as charcoal, is frequently employed as an adsorbent to remove contaminants, odours, and toxic gases from packaged goods. This is a result of its highly porous, amorphous structure, which offers a sizable surface area for the adsorption of gases and volatile organic compounds.
But, equally importantly, manufacturers and distributors choose activated charcoal for their packaging as it is especially effective in combination with other substances, such as desiccants for the control of both moisture and odor.
Tumblr media
Manufacturing process of activated carbon
Many resources, including coconut shells, peat, wood, coal, and fruit stones, can be used to create activated carbon. While being activated, all of these materials produce variable degrees of pore size and dispersion. At Cilicant, we've discovered that activated carbon made from coconut shell is exceptionally pure, effective, and tends to be denser with more micropores. Additionally, Cilicant has developed non-dusting pouches by employing coconut shell in the manufacturing process. Because to our focus on quality, we are able to provide a better product that protects manufacturers and formulators against customer complaints resulting from dusting problems. Coconut shells are also a very renewable and sustainable resource.
The first step of the manufacturing process involves thermal decomposition of the raw material, producing a carbonaceous mass full of tiny pores. In the second stage, this base material is ‘activated’ in steam-heated to up to 1,100 degrees Celsius.
Because of its lattice structure and extensive surface area for adsorption, crystalline activated carbon contains a network of microscopic holes. Through physical adsorption, volatile gases and odors are drawn to this structure and held there until an equilibrium is formed between the adsorbed molecules and the molecules that are still freely dispersed but transporting gas or moisture. Furthermore, chemisorption takes place when fresh chemical bonds are created between the adsorbates and the activated carbon surface.

“5 EASY AND HEALTHY RECIPES FOR MAKAR SANKRANTI 2023 | JAGGERY/GUD”
YOU CAN LISTEN THIS BLOG ON
Makar Sankranti is observed in the month of January each year. The significant pan-Indian solar festival of Makar Sankranti is celebrated on the same day but goes by several names, and occasionally on several days surrounding Makar Sankranti. In Andhra Pradesh, it is known as Pedda Panduga; in Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharashtra, it is known as Makara Sankranti; in Tamil Nadu, it is known as Pongal; in Assam, it is known as Magh Bihu; in parts of central and northern India, it is known as Magha Mela; in the west, it is known as Makar Sankranti; and in Kerala, it is known as Makara Sankranti or Sankaranti.
Tumblr media
Festivals mean new clothes, delectable sweets, family reunions, and unlimited fun. There is no better occasion than a festival to make sweets. In general, we use refined sugar for sweets, which has several negative health consequences. So instead of that, we can use jaggery or gud. It's common to hear claims that jaggery is "healthier" than refined sugar or white sugar. It is also good for weight loss also.
Benefits of jaggery/Gud
Tumblr media
What if you can find organic jaggery or gud? It will improve the taste and health of the dish. In addition, jaggery contains calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium. Jaggery is also a great plant-based source of iron. One serving could provide around 10% of the daily recommended iron consumption. Supporting healthy blood cells requires iron. You may have less fatigue and have better muscle performance if you consume adequate iron.
Festivals would not be complete without a tray of ladoos, barfis, halwa, and other treats! But have you ever considered how the making of sweets in different regions of India reflects the diversity of Indian culture? Every region in India enjoys showcasing its distinctive culinary inventions. With Makar Sankranti quickly approaching, we thought it would be a good idea to collect a few traditional sweet jaggery recipes with multiple health benefits from around the nation.

3. Drop some syrup into a bowl of water to test the consistency; it should form a hard ball.
4. Turn off the gas and add the roasted murmura to the jaggery syrup. Make sure the jaggery syrup is thoroughly coated; mix carefully. Roll the ladoos right away, using slightly wet palms. Be prompt to prevent the mixture from cooling off and making ladoo               rolling difficult.

cow and gate milk powder
Tumblr media
Cow gate Powdered milk, also called milk powder, dried milk, or dry milk, is a manufactured dairy product made by evaporating milk to dryness. One purpose of drying milk is to preserve it; milk powder has a far longer shelf life than liquid milk and does not need to be refrigerated, due to its low moisture content. Another purpose is to reduce its bulk for the economy of transportation. Powdered milk and dairy products include such items as dry whole milk, nonfat (skimmed) dry milk, dry buttermilk, dry whey products and dry dairy blends. Many exported dairy products conform to standards laid out in Codex Alimentarius.
While Marco Polo wrote of Mongolian Tatar troops in the time of Kublai Khan who carried sun-dried skimmed milk as "a kind of paste", the first modern production process for dried milk was invented by the Russian doctor Osip Krichevsky in 1802. The first commercial production of dried milk was organized by the Russian chemist M. Dirchoff in 1832. In 1855, T. S. Grimwade took a patent on a dried milk procedure, though William Newton had patented a vacuum drying process as early as 1837.
In modern times, powdered milk is usually made by spray drying nonfat skimmed milk, whole milk, buttermilk or whey. Pasteurized milk is first concentrated in an evaporator to approximately 50 percent milk solids. The resulting concentrated milk is then sprayed into a heated chamber where the water almost instantly evaporates, leaving fine particles of powdered milk solids.
Alternatively, the milk can be dried by drum drying. Milk is applied as a thin film to the surface of a heated drum, and the dried milk solids are then scraped off. However, powdered milk made this way tends to have a cooked flavour, due to caramelization caused by greater heat exposure.
Another process is freeze drying, which preserves many nutrients in milk, compared to drum drying. The drying method and the heat treatment of the milk as it is processed alters the properties of the milk powder, such as its solubility in cold water, its flavour, and its bulk density.
Powdered milk is frequently used in the manufacture of infant formula, confectionery such as chocolate and caramel candy, and in recipes for baked goods where adding liquid milk would render the product too thin. Powdered milk is also widely used in various sweets such as the Indian milk balls known as gulab jamun and a popular Indian sweet delicacy (sprinkled with desiccated coconut) known as chum chum (made with skim milk powder). Many no-cook recipes that use nut butters use powdered milk to prevent the nut butter from turning liquid by absorbing the oil.
Powdered milk is also a common item in UN food aid supplies, fallout shelters, warehouses, and wherever fresh milk is not a viable option. It is widely used in many developing countries because of reduced transport and storage costs (reduced bulk and weight, no refrigerated vehicles). Like other dry foods, it is considered nonperishable and is favored by survivalists, hikers, and others requiring nonperishable, easy-to-prepare food.
Because of its resemblance to cocaine and other drugs, powdered milk is sometimes used in filmmaking as a non-toxic prop that may be insufflated

Did you lot ever have the problem of people using desecrated instead of desiccated in your course? (Like I did when reading a baking recipe asking for desiccated coconut) Shout out to my fellow science students who still accidentally talk about orgasms instead of organisms.
I'm gonna assume you meant those two words the other way round, and nope. We didn't really tackle mummies all that often, nor were we discussing 19th century looting either, so there wasn't much of a reason to use it.

Energy Balls
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Energy balls are one of the best for healthy snacking on the go. These no-bake treats take just minutes to make and are packed with ingredients that are good for you. They are also a great substitute for junk food, so kids can have fun making and eating them.
What we really love about homemade energy balls is that not only are they cheaper, we can also control what goes into the mix. That means coming up with different tasty combinations with just one simple formula!
Here are two of our favourite picks, Coconut Apricot and Chocolate Dates, where we used Dole Organic Soft Dried Fruits for greater convenience. These soft dried fruits (apricot and dates, in our case) are moist and have a great natural taste. The pits are also removed from the dates, so that’s one less thing to worry about when you’re short on time.
Start snacking right with these delicious energy balls, and get your kids involved  – you can thank us later :)
