Next generation, sort of. Instead of taking place directly after the epilogue, this takes place twenty-five years later. Includes my head-canon OCs, Nicholas and Merritt Potter, because I wanted to write a story about Dudley's kids, couldn't see him having kids quite that soon, and wanted a Potter cousin to hang out with them. Nicholas and Merritt happened to be a package deal. -- Clemency and Ace Parker have always had strange things happen around them, but they've never thought much of it. Their father is loving but not very observant, and their mother believes that science has or will have an answer for everything. So when an owl brings their father a letter and a strange man--Uncle Harry--tells them they're wizards, they certainly don't expect their father to know what Uncle Harry is talking about, or for Mum to simply give in and send them off to a strange school called Hogwarts. And while it's scary at first, the two begin to settle in and feel like they've found their place in the world. Except things are happening in the wizarding world. Old feuds, underestimated enemies, and secret rivalries are all being opened up, all the while the fog rolls in...

Hvězdy už jsou v kinech!

Pevně doufám, že většina z vás ví, že tu mluvím o filmovém zpracování knihy Johna Greena Hvězdy nám nepřály, jinak si nejspíš musíte myslet, že jsem se zbláznila, protože (ne)filmové hvězdy byly přece odjakživa jen na nebi.

V rychlosti jen shrnu, že příběh vypráví o dvou výjimečných teenagerech, které spojuje kousavý humor, pohrdání konvencemi, záliba v jedné knize a láska, ale bohužel také to, že oba trpí různou formou rakoviny. Pro Hazel už z ní není východisko a ona si je toho plně vědoma. Gus už je rok a půl podle lékařů zdravý a rozhodne se splnit Hazel její největší přání. Kniha se stala celosvětovým bestsellerem a Yoli ji nyní vydává i s filmovou obálkou. Musím se přiznat, že mám u sebe v knihovně tu původní knihu vydanou Knižním klubem, ale s hrdostí k ní přidám i tu novou.

Nicméně, po dlouhém čekání je to konečně tu a já měla to štěstí, že jsem mohla dneska vyrazit na novinářskou předpremiéru, a teď bych se s vámi ráda podělila o několik postřehů.

První dilema nastalo, ještě než jsem vůbec vyrazila do kina, protože nevím jak vy, když jste tuhle knížku četli, ale já jsem probulela celou poslední třetinu. Ani si teď nedokážu vybavit další kousek, u kterého jsem kdy takhle hystericky brečela (no, vlastně, teď jsem si na jednu vzpomněla, ale o té vám povím někdy jindy. A strašně se na to těším☺). S vědomím tohohle faktu nastal problém - namalovat se nebo nenamalovat? Vyděsit všechny kolem už cestou do kina, s tím, že pak nebudu vypadat jako panda, nebo si to nechat až po filmu, až se mi roztečou oči? Volba padla na voděodolnou řasenku. No uvidíme. Dva balíčky kapesníků byly samozřejmostí!

Jako obvykle jsme před začátkem promítání dostali nějaké ty tištěné informace a krásnou OKAY? OKAY. placku (Všichni víme, že?). Film naprosto do puntíku splnil má očekávání a v lecčems je i předčil. Odcházela jsem ubrečená, s úsměvem od ucha k uchu a tak nějak podivně šťastná. Je to hrozně zvláštní, pokoušet se tenhle pocit vyjádřit. Upřímně, byla jsem trochu ráda, že jsem četla knihu předem, a přesně tak věděla, co mě čeká. Tak trochu lituji lidi, kteří do toho spadnou přímo. I tak to byla hrozná smršť emocí!

Řeknu vám, až do onoho okamžiku těsně před koncem je ten film neuvěřitelně vtipný. Ne nadarmo je to „Nejvtipnější smutná lovestory“. Hazel (Shailene Woodley) a Augustus (Ansel Elgort) jsou pro sebe stvořeni jak v knize, tak i na plátně jako herci. Ve Hvězdách to není o krásné herečce a herci, mezi nimiž musí být na první pohled chemie, tady je to o něčem hlubším, a to tam s naprostou jistotou bylo. Věříte jim to od první do poslední minuty. Vzhledem k tomu, že se tito dva herci před měsícem společně objevili v Divergenci, jsem se trochu bála, jak se budu schopná přeadaptovat na tyhle dvě postavy, ale neměla jsem nejmenší problém. Oba jsem je hltala jedním dechem. Film se držel knihy a skoro všechny scény proběhly tak, jak jsem si je vysnila v hlavě, nebo ještě o chlup líp. Nebyla v něm žádná hluchá místa, žádné zdlouhavé nudné patetické scény (ano, těch nemocničních jsem se bála, přiznávám), ale naopak, tak jako v knize bylo i to nejsmutnější ve filmu podáno přímo a bez obalu s pořádnou dávkou humoru nebo ironie, což to činilo mnohem stravitelnější.

A hodně se mi líbilo, jak herec Sam Trammell ztvárnil roli pana Lancastera, Hazelina otce. A taky závěrečné titulky a textovky mezi Gusem a Hazel jsou krásně udělané.

Co napsat nakonec? Určitě na Hvězdy nám nepřály běžte. A klidně ne jednou, já taky rozhodně ještě minimálně jednou půjdu, ne-li víckrát. Ten film, stejně jako kniha, vám dá hodně k zamyšlení, ale garantuju vám, že budete odcházet z kina se zatraceně dobrým pocitem.

Next generation, sort of. Instead of taking place directly after the epilogue, this takes place twenty-five years later. Includes my head-canon OCs, Nicholas and Merritt Potter, because I wanted to write a story about Dudley's kids, couldn't see him having kids quite that soon, and wanted a Potter cousin to hang out with them. Nicholas and Merritt happened to be a package deal. -- Clemency and Ace Parker have always had strange things happen around them, but they've never thought much of it. Their father is loving but not very observant, and their mother believes that science has or will have an answer for everything. So when an owl brings their father a letter and a strange man--Uncle Harry--tells them they're wizards, they certainly don't expect their father to know what Uncle Harry is talking about, or for Mum to simply give in and send them off to a strange school called Hogwarts. And while it's scary at first, the two begin to settle in and feel like they've found their place in the world. Except things are happening in the wizarding world. Old feuds, underestimated enemies, and secret rivalries are all being opened up, all the while the fog rolls in...
