Continuing the hunt for sidequests to pick up in Rivington!
I think Hector is really enjoying being able to walk around in the sun and talk to people. They spent a long time in the shadow-cursed lands and, while they started to get used to it, it was always an oppressive feeling. Baldur's Gate clearly has a LOT of problems, and he is not pleased either to feel so crowded around with people or to see the casual cruelty with which many of them are being treated - but there's sun and cheerful voices too and that's a nice change.
Another quake as we start moving further north.
On a lighter note, there's a sign here for a circus!
Tumblr media
a) This is an incredibly ominous name for a circus. b) The last time I saw a circus in these games was Baldur's Gate 2 where it had been taken over by a mad gnome that trapped everyone inside and turned them into monsters. (Although we also met Aerie there so it evens out.) c) The narrator sounded INCREDIBLY skeptical reading this out, lmao.
Not sure where the circus itself is but we will definitely check that out soon. Carrying on...
There's a very large windmill in the center of the area that seems significant. It's locked but no one is much looking at it, so not hard for Hector to pick the lock and take a look around. Inside is a hatch leading to the basement.
Tumblr media
In the basement we find
Tumblr media
??? UM?
Tumblr media
Narrator: Before you lies the unconscious body of a mind flayer, glistening and raw.
Tumblr media
"A newborn...?" whispers the Emperor in his head. "Unattended? How fortunate..."
Hector misses when the Emperor at least made an effort to sound like a soothing, friendly voice instead of the hollow growl that now rings through him every time their "guardian" has something to say.
"It doesn't *feel* very fortunate," he thinks back sardonically along the connection that binds them all.
"Oh, but it is," the Emperor purrs. "This one has only just transformed. It is weak, vulnerable - its potential ripe for harvesting. Go on. Kill it. Absorb its power. Just like you did before."
Hector shakes his head. All his trust for the Emperor disappeared when he realized the "guardian" wants him to become a mind flayer as well, just a free one. He has no interest in further developing his "potential".
The Emperor is right about one thing, though - this creature is currently vulnerable, and it certainly can't be allowed to walk loose in the refugee camp. Even one mind flayer is a deadly threat, and he's more than a little worried about how this one comes to be here in the first place.
Tumblr media
Attack the creature before it wakes up.
The mind flayer stirs as Hector moves forward to strike it--
Tumblr media
"What? NO! I've had so little time!"
Not a difficult fight; we got a surprise round and completely destroyed it before it could get a shot off.
"Interesting," the Emperor says as it dies. "The creature was born recently. Its mind is still fresh. You can absorb its potential if you consume it."
Hector, as mentioned, has no interest in doing that - but what he does want to know is who turned this mind flayer in the first place. It was clearly a civilian here, judging by its pants, and we heard them screaming from outside (though I didn't realize until coming down here that this was where the sound came from).
I had Shadowheart load up Speak With Dead and give it a try (the first time I have remembered to do this in the whole game :P ). But it did nothing. "The corpse does not respond."
Bummer.
However! There is still an available answer to our question - and it's one I should have put the pieces together on, honestly. Looting the dead flayer gets us not only the brain (which we could consume like a tadpole for Extra Illithid Powers) but also this note, titled "Absolute Orders: Newborn":
Tumblr media
Well, that answers that question. There are True Souls within the city already - among the Fist. And this one received its order for ceremorphosis.
...Shit.

Happy New Year! I wanted to do like a comprehensive "stuff I did in 2023" but I have a terrible memory and goodreads says I only read 4 books which is completely incorrect so I don't know what I've read.
I have oddly enough done a quite a bit of things this year.
I've been here in Texas now for a year and at my current job for a year. I can tell you my spanish has improved tremendously without having any sort of scale or way to gauge to it. Still absolutely not fluent, just better than I was before we moved here. I've found my absolute favorite local coffee shop that is not a starbucks. It has great food and great coffee. I've been to many other local cafes in other states and their coffee always tasted like dirtwater and starbucks or mcdonalds has always been better (sad right?). We discovered Chilaquiles, which I have never heard of before until we moved here. Honestly we havent been to that many mexican restaurants and primarily focused on brunch spots. I also havent been out to eat since my husband left on his overseas rotation.
now that its the new year this is a new one that I've learned. Rosca de Reyes. I have never heard of it before. I've seen and had king cake around mardi gras time (which is nasty). But never Rosca de Reyes. So thats new to me.
We took several trips this year. We started our year off at Knotts Berry Farm and Downtown Disney. We visited my husbands side of the family a lot because now we're so close (8 hour drive and all). So we saw them for Easter. My SIL had her 21st birthday so we visited Las Vegas. This was right before they opened that giant globe and I did not see it..in the distance..its turned-off-ness. I completely missed it and never saw it. They were starting to gate everything off too for the car racing thing they were doing. She got to jump out of an airplane and I was not down to watching that. Cant do it. Makes me want to vomit. But she survived and said it was the greatest experience ever.
We then went back to the Los Angeles area around June/July to visit the beach and the Mario land in Universal Studios. I'd never been to US in California before only Florida. So that was an interesting experience too. I think mario was cool but unless it grows more, its not really worth it. The jurassic park ride for sure was more superior than the one in Orlando and the park tour was interesting surprisingly.
ran into a few celebrities on accident. Visited Little Tokyo which was a highlight to me.
and ofcourse I drove to my in-laws for thanksgiving and then went back just a couple weeks ago for Disneyland and another day at knotts.
I know I missed out on a lot of local experiences just because I didn't want to go on my own. I know there were a few bands in town I would have wanted to see but yeah..by myself no. We did go see a youtuber/comedian at the local theater and that was really neat. Their theater here is nice.
Tumblr media
goodreads is screwed up and is telling me I read 4 books but thats inaccurate. If I could manually I did around 21 but I've returned quite a few books so I'm not sure the grand total.
I think the best book I read all year was Godkiller by Hannah Kaner. I enjoyed that a lot. I think a sequel comes out in march and I plan to read it too.
Hurricane Wars was a lot of stupid fun, not because I think it was well written, but because I get a kick out of fandom fanartists/fanfic authors doing something professional. I'm like "you go girl" and I don't even know these people. I didn't particularly think the original reylo fanfic was great. But I appreciate the success a fandom can bring people.
The worst book was IronFlame but I appreciate the hype. I like fandoms. I like the enthusiasm of fandoms and how much fun they make things. I want to join in on the fun too. I did not enjoy Fourth Wing. I thought it was terribly written. If it was a fanfic I would have hit the backbutton so fast on it (and thats how I judge my books, on the "back-button" scale). But they made the hype for IronFlame look so fun. It was even worse than Fourth Wing. I don't understand what others were reading but I can't judge because I bought it due to FOMO. I do not plan to read the third book.
Little surprise success too. I stuffed my kindle and discovered AG Caggiano and read the first book of Villains and Virtues and I really liked it. I have such a hard reading not-fanfic. The writing styles for fanfic and original books are just so different and I have a hard time getting into original novels but I really enjoy these silly characters. Never heard of this book series or author before. But I finished the first book within a couple days and I'm half thru the second. Its like a silly disney movie. Bit more pg13 but I enjoyed it.
I did have some fails. I made it through half of HarryPotter 2 and Im about 50 pages from finishing Court of Thornes and Roses by SJM in SPANISH. My goal was to finish these books in SPANISH. I honestly got a little distracted by a Tangled spanish fanfic. But reading in Spanish is very humbling and difficult. I have to be able to clear my mind to get through it. Some days I can zoom through a page, other days I don't understand a single word. So I didn't quite finish anything.
Tumblr media
Trying to think of games I finished this year. I finished God of War Ragnarok at the beginning of the year. I mean, good game but the wow factor kinda stuck with the first remake. Nothing really stood out to me that I ever need to play it ever again.
I upgraded my switchlite to a switch OLED which almost killed me because there was nothing wrong with my switchlite but I wanted to play TOTK on the big tv. TOTK was fine too but I found myself getting bored of it. Again, I think the major wow factor was with the first one, BOTW. In TOTK, it felt like I was clearing the same map all over again but then they added the underground and sky which then just made my map-clearing OCD give intense anxiety re completionism. I have to stop and flip every rock over and I was getting tired.
I also played Harvestella which I did not enjoy. I played Octopath Traveler 1 which was not bad, I heard 2 was great and I plan to play it eventually. I also played Xenoblade 1 which was not bad either. I'm playing Xenoblade 2 now and I'm struggling a bit to get enthused about it. Everybody says X3 is amazing but I felt bad for skipping 2 to get to 3. So I'm going to suck it up.
The real winner this year for me has been Disney Dreamlight Valley. It was officially released in December but Ive been playing the "beta" for well over a year now. I got pretty heavy into it with some of the large updates this year. I have more hours in it than TOTK. With all its issues and peoples complaints, its a perfect game for me. Its disney. I got simba and rapunzel. I can decorate my island in disney. I can casually play while audiobooking. Its relaxing.
Tumblr media
What else did we do this year? hosted 4th of July. Hosted a buddy to stay at our house for a bit while he was here on assignment.
I hired a dog walker by myself. Had a dental procedure I had been dreaming about but the anxiety of asking about it was scary and it was fine.
I went outdoor rock climbing for the first time ever and never need to do that again. I did go to 2 different indoor rock gyms. Got embarrassed at both places and havent gone back. I have fallen off the wagon really badly with going to the gym here. I just can't find a place where I feel comfortable.
I also got really invested in my backyard landscaping because this place sucks for my dog.
I think some of my stomach issues have improved tremendously this year. Stomachs still not great but I havent felt the urge to go to the doctor about it due to the anxiety which is an improvement.
Seen a bunch of movies this year too. Dungeons and Dragons, Mario, Oppenheimer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles....Wish sucked really bad...I still havent seen barbie or the new hunger games and I really wanted to.
Tumblr media
mainly I focused on youtube videos. I got sent some cool stuff by companies. I feel like I didnt draw quite as much but youtube kept me really busy. I've learned a lot about video editing and public speaking though neither are my strengths. I do enjoy the art community on youtube as a whole. Its a lot less stressful than the rest of art social media in a different way. Portfolio social medias or places like twitter theres an urge to create constantly. Youtube I can merely talk about art and it counts as something creative. So it kind of takes a load off. Also, ofcourse with art companies sending out merch, theres a decent reward system too. I talk about art, don't need to necessarily complete anything and then get free stuff. So, so far, for me, its been worth it. Especially given my tiny following. You don't need 1mil followers to obtain a reward. So to me, its a pleasant experience. I do worry about my account growing bigger and me not being able to maintain it. Its easier to accept rude comments when its just your art. When its you on the screen, its a bit more personal.
otherwise, I have no plans for 2024 other than the same stuff. I would like to make a vegetable garden but I wont because by the end of this year we will be planning another move. The end of 2024 is going to be a massive life change and stressful doozy. My husband will be retiring and we don't know what we want to be or where we want to live when we grow up. I'm telling myself it'll be socially acceptable to quit my job in about 6 months to prep for this life change but thats not really true. We need all the money we can get lmao.

L'invitation au voyage (To HEL and back 1)
It's a strange sensation.  You're in a metal tube and can't get out.  You can't even stand up.
You’re surrounded by complete strangers, except for the person next to you.  Everyone is facing in the same direction. Suddenly your body is thrust back against your seat.
After three years of restrictions, I'd almost forgotten what it feels like.  I can't be the only one.  On arrival I spot an ad for Finnair urging people to give it a try:
Tumblr media
We are now in the EU: I am separated from my wife at passport control and fast-tracked through automated gates.  Signs point her – along with Japanese and Korean nationals – towards a booth where she must get her British passport stamped.
Thankfully, Helsinki airport is not overrun by Asian visitors today and we are quickly reunited on the other side.
The train to the city centre is comfortable and user-friendly.  An on-board screen tells us exactly where we are along the way.  The stations are listed both in Finnish and Swedish.
In most cases the two versions bear a resemblance to each other, but it's the occasional radical divergence that fascinates me.  The suburb known as Louhela to locals is rendered as Klippsta.
Given that Sweden ran Finland for five centuries, I find it very decent of the Finns to help their former occupiers get around. It's true that Swedish rule ended in 1809. Since then the main threat has come from Russia – from which independence was wrested 105 years ago. That may be why, on signs, the capital doubles as Helsingfors, not Хельсинки.
Still, I don't think the time elapsed since the last invasion by itself explains the toponymic hospitality.  The French last overran England a millennium ago and we have been friends for, what, 200 years?  Anyway, signs from and from Channel ports do not mention Douvres, Cantorbéry, or Londres.
Clearly the bilingual signage here betokens something more than just good feelings.
What I read into it, rather, is: "OK, you Swedes lorded over us once.  And it's true you didn't lift a finger when the Soviets attacked us in 1939-40 - any more than you helped Norway against the Nazis.  But we know you're good guys really.  We Scandis must stick together."
The 10-minute walk from the central station to our hotel is, frankly, a disappointment.
We've come to Helsinki for its architecture.  We walk along a boulevard lined with drab 1920s blocks of flats. Trams rumble by.  Apart from the incongruous head of a giant seagull, we could be in any central European city.
Tumblr media
Google guides us to our hotel.  Boring as it looks from the outside, the interior oozes sophistication.
Art is on display in the reception area.  An electronic screen proclaims: "The LGBTQ+ community is welcome here."
This message of inclusion is reaffirmed in our room, with a card:
Tumblr media
I hadn't expected homophobia and racism to be so rife in the country that such a haven was required.  Maybe I had naively swallowed clichés about Nordic tolerance.
But I am in a position to verify one blessing commonly attributed to the Finns: a world-beating school system.
That evening we dine at a local restaurant called "Ateljé Finne".  I ask the waitress, perhaps a bit too smugly, whether she knows what atelier means.
"It's French for workshop," she says. "A lot of restaurants call themselves atelier - or ateljé as we say.  This building used to be a workshop owned by a man called Finne, so when we converted it into a restaurant, it seemed appropriate to retain that designation."
It seems linguistic humility is in order, a shock to the system for me.  I cast my mind back to our arrival.  As we hesitated about which lane to use at passport control, an attendant spontaneously addressed me in perfect French and my wife in perfect English.
People who end up as waitresses or airport employees were not necessarily top of their class.  Who knows what benefits high-fliers derive from their Finnish education?
The meal is very nice.  I like small portions, although as Frenchman I find the 12cl glasses skimpy.  At least I have a virtuous glow of sobriety.
The bill comes to €122.30 - this is Finland after all. I briefly ponder the question flashed by the credit-card reader: "Do you want to leave a tip?"  On reflection, that polyglot waitress has deserved her 15%.

Chapter II
Days passed with the same thing happening. We would go out and lumber wood in the surrounding forest, then haul it back in a cart. Then the day came to sell it.
“You can’t go this time!”
“Why not?!”
Angelina huffed as she sat on the cart, glaring daggers at me, “Because…I told you that you can’t.”
“You mean you won’t let me.” I deadpanned, giving her a knowing look, “Listen, Angelina…” I rubbed my forehead and then sighed, “We make our money this way. We have no other way. I have to leave tonight to get there on time on Monday!”
Angelina clenched her jaw and glared at me. I could practically see the thoughts swirling in her head as she tried to prevent me from going. She had done this the last few times as well, but this time she was taking it farther than she’s ever before. She puffed her cheeks out, “If you go, then I’ll go too. It’s about time that I learn how to do this.”
“You’re still too young…”
“I’m fourteen! The other day I cut down a tree without your help. You said you couldn’t do that until you were fifteen.” She retorted, slapping her hand on the pile of wood next to her.
I put my hands on my hips and stared at her. She was swinging her legs, and she was tightly gripping onto the back of the cart. I gnawed on my lip and closed my eyes. She was as stubborn as a mule and I knew that I wouldn’t get on the road on time if we continued to argue about this.
“Fine.” I said as I let my hands fall to my sides in defeat, “But go get your cloak from the house. And keep it on at all times.”
Her face lit up, her eyes sparkling, “Yes!” She jumped down from the cart, “Don’t leave without me.” She ran off. I reached down to my finger, twisting the ring around it.
Despite living in a remote area with only animals and no foot-traffic…we locked up the house completely. We made sure that no one could get in there even if they tried their best and if they did…well good luck to them.
“What does the city look like?”
“Big buildings.”
“How big?”
“Bigger than The Underground.”
“Bigger than The Underground?!” Angelina sat back with her mouth open, staring up through the trees at the sky above, “That’s like…huge!”
“Yeah. Wait until we get there. You’ll be able to see the Imperial Palace from the fields.”
She seemed to get more giddy the more I answered her questions, and I couldn’t help but smile at her demeanor. Sure, she was an annoying younger sister sometimes, but I still liked to see her happy.
Usually when I traveled to the capital to deliver lumber to the customers, I rode until I was falling asleep with the reins in my hands. But with Angelina we took more breaks so that she could stretch. We arrived at the fields surrounding the city the day of.
“I understand!” Angelina groaned, pulling her shoulders away from my grip, “You’ve told me not to take it off so many times. I get it!”
I stare at her, wondering if she truly understood. I reached forward and pulled it down so that it covered half of her face, “Keep it like this.”
“Got it. Got it.” She mumbled looking away, her eyes focusing on the gate in front of us. We pulled to a stop behind others waiting to enter the capital, “We can’t just go in?” She questioned.
“No. Only people with a vendor's license or citizens are allowed to come and go freely.” I reached into my pocket, “I have a license.”
She grabbed it from my hands as soon as she saw it, admiring its shining surface, “Woah…it’s so pretty. What is it made out of? Gold?!”
“It is. It has the Imperial family’s insignia engraved into it.” I reached over and traced the insignia, “If you have this, you can sell anywhere in the empire.”
Even from her darkened hood I could see her eyes sparkling with wonder, “Can I hold onto it?” She didn’t even look at me to ask, her eyes fixated on it.
“Yeah.” I pointed towards the guard who was checking the licenses, “Just show it to him when it’s our turn.”
“Okay!” She smiled and held it close.
“Mister Hayden, nice to see you again,” The guard smiled and I smiled back, “Delivering wood again? You’re a bit late.” His eyes turned to Angelina who eagerly held out the license, “And who is this?”
“Ser Jamie, it’s always a pleasure. This is my younger sibling.” I pointed my thumb at her, “She wanted to come with me this time.”
“You had a younger sibling?” Ser Jamie tried to examine her closer, but only the bottom half of her face was exposed, “Well, the license is the same as last time.” He smiled at her, “You may pass.”
“Have a good day, Ser Jamie.”
We made our way slowly through the thick crowds within the market, stopping off at the smaller customers first. An Inn Owner, owned by Jasmine; A bakery, owned by Elie; Then an Estate, owned by the Lucis family. Then we made our way deeper into the capital. The houses became bigger, grander, and more separated until we stopped at gates outside one of them.
“Woah!” Angelina stood up when the carriage came to a stop, immediately hopping out and rushing to the gates, “So sparkly!”
“Stop right there!” The guards put their long spears in the way to block her from getting any closer, suspicion clear on their face. They looked to me asking for an explanation with their eyes. I quickly hopped out of the cart’s driver seat and grasped Angelina’s shoulders, pulling her back from the upset guards.
“I apologize. It is her first time seeing such a grand place.” I glared down at her, raising an eyebrow. She took a step behind me and I looked back to the guards, “This is Milord’s weekly delivery.”
“We know your face.” They relaxed, pulling the spears back to their sides, “You know the procedure.”
“Of course. Have a good evening you two.” I bowed my head to them and then ushered Angelina back onto the front of the cart, “You can’t just walk right up to the gates.” I mumbled to her as we started moving, “In the capital we are mere subjects to the nobles. You treat them with respect; don’t let your eyes wander; and you don’t go places where you’re not allowed.” I explained to her as we slowly made our way around to the back of the castle, “To them, we are mere lumberjacks, the people that bring them wood every week.” I glanced towards Angelina, who was staring down at the license. Her eyebrows were drawn together, and her lips in a pout.
“What the heck…” She mumbled back, putting the license away in her cloak and looking towards me. I could tell all that she was thinking from her face. She hadn’t expected to be treated so rudely.
“Don’t mind them, they’re usually mean like that.” The trees were like a roof over us started to block out some of the sun, “You have to remember, Angelina. This is the way of the capital. We all have our places here. No matter what you have learned from that place before, disregard that here. It’s not the same.”
“I understand now.” Angelina sat back in the seat and looked up to the trees, “Well, at least we get paid for this.” I laughed at her almost sad expression.
“That’s one of the upsides!” I pulled the cart to a stop since we had arrived at the back of the estate, “We’re here!” I glanced and then, “Gabriel!” I called out to the person not too far away, carrying some hay in his arms.
“Mister Hayden! You’re back!” Gabriel set down the hay and rushed over, peeking into the back of the cart, “How’s the last week been for you, huh?”
“It’s been alright! It rained one day so I went home covered in mud.” I explained and started to untie the rope that was holding the wood in, “What about you guys? I’ve heard some things have been happening in the capital.”
Gabriel sighed at the mention, “Don’t get me started,” He shook his head as he helped me with the ropes. He paused for a second then looked around, he then leaned closely to me, “The princes are rumored to be arriving back from the expedition into Ghanlan forest. In bad moods.”
My mouth dropped open a little, “Ghanlan forest…Did they go to try and investigate the ruins?”
“Well it’s nothing solid but rumor is that they lost more knights than last time. The monsters within those impenetrable walls have been only growing stronger with time.” Gabriel shook his head and turned away, “I’ll go get more staff to help with this.” He ran away around a corner and I didn’t follow. That left Angelina and I to start unloading the cart.

Poem
The regret binds me still-- in space
The in-between that used to be our place
This curse I bear forevermore
My heart aches red for an escape
Waiting for judgement by the silver gate
I’m foolish I know
All I need is one word from you
For you, I surrender
Clasping your hands against my neck
Let me feel the tightening of your grip
For my tears to swell out
Washing my pride away
I want to feel the cut of your fingers
For them to etch onto my skin
I beg for you to let me bleed
To give me a release
So time can tick
So wind can hound
So my world can spin
So the birds can sing
One more time, I want to see you
Where our line of fate crosses again
Like the day of our beginning
I'm clinging to the very end
I’m foolish I know
I’m still waiting by the gate
youtube
The song's title is translated to "Aphrodite of Death". Feel quite in theme for me.
Context:
YONKS. For my first post, I'm throwing a big bone here for you to chew on. One of my in-progress poems. To be fair, I don't think there is such a thing is a fully complete poem. You just work on it until you give up lmao. I cringe at this because I don't know how people think of me after reading it. I like to write poem that describe my emotion and theme but not exactly what actually happened to me.
I tend to experience intense event through metaphors. As in, when facing conflict, imagery and analogy would flash across my mind like an intrusive thought. I will literally feel it as if it is happening. One example is after having a really bad falloff with a friend, I would feel myself being pull down as if I'm becoming puddle. I feel light-headed weak, and sick. I feel that metaphor physically and that thought of being a puddle pops up in my head while experiencing it.
Explanation:
This makes it super convenient for churning out poems! An allegory can be truer than the actual event itself! Encapsulating and highlighting its very essence. Throughout this poem, there is mini little references of association pulled from different areas in space and time in my life. Won't give away too much but here is some stuff I wanted to convey: Guilt. Stagnation. Mercy. Judgement. Yearning. Time.
Have you ever feel like time stop with a person? When you are with them, you are in your own world where time and people temporary fade into the background? a different plane of existence. To me, there is a duality in it. What if you stuck there and are unable to revert back to reality? It can be a nightmare.
I am really bad with expressing weakness which is why I wanted to write something that feels very humiliating to explore and grow. I was reading a Webtoon where a character declares that she would let the other person strangle her to death to show her love. Very intense. I kinda get it though.
Possible changes and improvement:
I can move the line about "being foolish" and "waiting by the gate" to the beginning so it can begin and end with the same two lines. It represents a repeat of cycle that can never be completed or satisfied. Stuck in time. Lines about "time ticking" to "bird singing" can be improved to create layered meaning. Right now, they are only a placeholder to show the wanting of time moving and growing.
Main takeaway?:
Uhhh... express how you feel sometimes? My unwillingness to admit certain things contributed to my demise. And it's okay for you to make mistake and feel. It's cruel how others would shame the very humanness of feeling. You are cutting people from the very source of living.
Also, write poems sometimes? It doesn't have to be good and can be very therapeutic! It's nice because it hones all of your thoughts into a single tangible piece. Every since I wrote this, I haven't ruminate at all!
WOWZA, now you have to try. See you next week!

The Single Best Strategy To Use For inca trail cusco
which nonetheless preserves the greatness of remaining the cash of an empire; this great town embraces The complete legendary history of Peru, from its Basis towards the withdrawal in the Spanish conquistadors. Although it's regarded the oldest inhabited metropolis with the Americas and Peru's historic cash, neither of these truly describes the magic enchantment and colourful individuals of Cuzco. Day four – The last day is among the most predicted since the vacationer will get up really early to stroll a handful of kilometers in the direction of Machu Picchu. The first watch they'll receive from the Inca town might be with the Intipunku (Sun Gate), just as the Incas did a few years back. The space was beautiful and clean. We could even check out netflix inside our space about the Television set monitor! Breakfast was also very nice. This hostel is ideal if you would like relax somewhat! Hostel is situated in a Road wherever no vehicles are permitted, that is ideal for you relaxation. My place was stunning and also the mattress very comfy. The staff had been friendly and practical. Fantastic spot and on the list of quieter lodges I've stayed at in Peru. Permits for your Inca Trail promote out speedily, sometimes five months upfront for dates over the dry period (May perhaps–September). Scheduling significantly beforehand is definitely an complete need to. The ideal time of yr to hike the Inca Trail is during the dry time (May–September). These are also the coldest months on the calendar year so Make sure you pack accordingly. Cusco is a tremendous location to visit. It's good internet sites, the weather conditions is pleasant, the persons pleasant, it’s Risk-free, not too high-priced and the quality of foodstuff and table company is fantastic. Lastly the sights with the encompassing mountains and amazing The placement is great! From the busy A part of city with adorable minor coffee shops and outlets throughout. Near stroll to Limbus Bar and other see factors. L’atelier cafe is 2 min absent and he excellent coffee with views of san Blas. Situated in Cusco, a twenty-minute walk from Coricancha, Ureta Lodge supplies accommodations with no cost WiFi and cost-free private parking. i much like the very personalized attention we acquired in the employees and house owners of Ureta.   In case you are renewing your passport, go on and send us your outdated selection to secure your permit, and we will alter it when you get your new passport amount. Remember to send out The brand new passport range right away. Chapter 81
And in its place is the opening to a giant glowing cavern.
Chapter 81 summary: The “wall” where Eden and Flint disappeared through is actually a border that only dragons can cross, which was not something that they’d been forewarned about… Although why would they? I imagine not a lot of non-dragons need to get into the dragon graveyard.
Jaxon starts trying to use his earthbender powers, but the others tell him to stop; that it might cause a cave-in. Grace asks Macy if she can do a spell that would lift the illusion from around the gate, so she does. The rest of the chapter is her doing said spell.
Chapter 82
Dragon riding absolutely solves the problem of crossing the divide, but it leaves the area where we’re standing right now really, really crowded. I’m currently uncomfortably close to the edge, and that discomfort is growing exponentially, considering the added weight of the dragons is cracking the ground beneath our feet and making the edges crumble into oblivion.
Need I remind this idiot that she can fly?
Flint lands right next to us, and after we slide off the dragons’ backs, we all collapse on the ground.
Chapter 82 summary: They go through the opening Macy made, where they find yet another bottomless pit, but an island with all of the bones on it. They naturally decide that flying over on the backs of Flint and Eden would be best, so they start to hop on. But then there’s this huge gust of wind that almost knocks Macy off the ledge, that Jaxon and Hudson both call “Wyvern wind”; Grace decides she doesn’t want to know. They fly over to the island, “fighting” the wind, but it’s barely a struggle.
Chapter 83
“Yeah,” Flint says, dashing a quick hand across his cheek. “Let’s do this and get the hell out of here. It’s time to go home.”
Chapter 83 summary: Now over on the island, the reality of what these bones mean hits all of them, and it packs a mean punch. Eden says that her mom is there; that she’d died when Eden was in school and she never got to say goodbye.
Grace thinks about her dead parents, and how at least she’d had some measure of closure with a funeral. Hudson feels her grief and expresses how sorry he is that Lia did all of that shit to Grace simply to bring him back. Which, highlighting again that he never asked Lia to do any of that.
The barrier between him and Grace disappears for a brief moment and Grace is flooded with all of Hudson’s self-loathing and guilt. But then it’s gone, and it’s time to get back to the actual plot.
And as usual, it’s not so much that I minded this chapter (because it was honestly really nice), but the fact that WE’RE ON CHAPTER 83 OF 126. There is too much padding in this book, and half of it should have been removed completely.
Chapter 84
Because whether Xavier’s wolf senses are chill or not, I know Eden’s grand-mère was right. My inner voice is begging me to leave this place as quickly as possible.
Chapter 84 summary: They have to find a whole bone, which is going to be a problem because a lot of them are in pieces. But what’s worse is that the sculls alone are at least five feet high, and a rib-bone is described as being “the size of a house”. Even if they do find a whole bone, they’re going to have problems getting it back to the school. Macy says that she’ll stay behind to open up a portal; she can only portal to places that she’s been to before, which is why they didn’t portal to the graveyard.
Although Xavier the werewolf insists that there’s nothing spooky out there, because he can sense it with his WEREWOLF SENSES™, as Grace walks around in search of a whole bone they can store in their dorm room, she also gets a sense of wrongness and wants to be out of there quickly.

PLAYING: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Tumblr media
It's a little too Ocarina of Time, but also no enough. Yet despite that stupid sword $&*%, I'm having fun.
So I played three games back to back. They were short and sweet (just as I like'em). I was going to move on to the next but then my wife started Ocarina of Time on Switch. We brought the kids' cots out to the living room and they were all snuggled up with their stuffed animals and snacks having a great time watching us play. So we powered our way through the game (it's been years since we played all the way through and I was going to finish it this time!).
Feeling excited about Zelda, we decided to through in Skyward Sword. We've never played before, and we bought it months ago (can't remember why...I think we had store credit?) but never started it. So...we started it.
It's become a nice post-dinner event for us. The kids get on their cots with some snacks (the key to being southern american is to always have snacks immediately have dinner/supper). My wife and I have a glass of rum-n-juice each, and enjoy the adventure.
Not sure why I shared all that except for maybe that's my favorite part of this experience??
SO we've made it pretty far. We tracked Zelda to all the main temples until she disappeared into the time gate, leaving us the harp of time. Now we've just collected all the tools and the three flames to create the master sword. So I guess we're at the final stretch, and I'm just now journaling. (I've been busy...)
Not sure how to break this down--but I think Imma start with why this is both too much like Ocarina and not enough...
Ocarina of Time Defined 3D Action Adventure Games
I love 3D action adventure games, this includes platformers like Mario, Jak and Daxter, and Sly Cooper. I love the exploring interesting environments, discovering secrets, and experiencing the stories. And I feel all 3D action adventures basically take their cues from Ocarina of Time.
Sure, games like Tomb Raider and Soul Reaver were being produced at the same time, but I think they were likely inspired by older Zeldas. Whatever, no need to track the design DNA down to the original Adam & Eve of video games--the point is, most of what has become adventure game staples got their start in Ocarina of Time.
Regardless of its influence, OOT had little to draw influence from. I mean, it borrows heavily from the 3D concepts Mario 64 explored, but OOT was trying to build a cohesive world and story while Mario was just having fun. So it's that imaginative approach to world building and story telling that I think makes OOT the grandmother of 3D adventure games.
Because OOT was having to figure things out on the fly, I can forgive its shortcomings. BUT because Skyward Sword is decades later in the franchise, I struggle to let it get away with much.
Such as...
An Interconnected World
I asked my Game Development professor if Ocarina of Time should be considered open world. He responded in that annoying way that deep thinkers do: "I think it's more about a feeling of open world."
Find dude, how do you feel about it?
Never mind! He was a good teacher. Point is, I view it as an open world. As much was really possible for it. Every dungeon, area, and building in the game is basically connected. Even if they're loaded independently, they're still connected. And once you open an area, it generally remains accessible to you for the rest of the game--dungeons included. This is part of why OOT is so great.
Firstly, it makes the world feel more real. Even despite how horribly shaped the landscapes or crassly gamey paths are designed, because it was all interconnected, it felt like a real space that fit together.
Secondly, this made the game feel like a discovery. From the earliest Zeldas, there wasn't a lot of handholding. You were often just dropped into an environment and told good luck. When I first played through Ocarina of Time, I felt like I stumbled upon about 90% of the game accidentally. Much in the same way that Morrowind felt like a completely open experience, OOT did too. I know now there's a very linear progression through OoT, but unlike something like God of War, they don't force your hand. They let you explore the wrong paths a little.
NOW back to SkSw (Skyward Sword). Just like OoT, much of the game is separated into levels/areas. But there's two distinct zones: they sky and the surface. They're separated by a cloud covering your bird refuses to pass through, and you can only access places once a hole in the clouds separates. From there, you can drop down into 1 of 3 distinct surface areas...and they're not interconnected.
This make the game feel disjointed. Sure, I have the freedom to backtrack. And each zone has pretty large with different things to explore. But I don't get the same feeling of a unified world as I did in OoT.
Let's Talk About the Sky
I don't know why I said "let's", it's just me talking.
I didn't know much about Skyward Sword before playing, just that it's the chronological beginning. I knew there were floating islands and I assumed there were bird people (that I met in Breath of the Wild). My thought was that the game would fully take place in the sky with islands and the climax would see the islands descending to the surface to create the world we've all come to love and fear.
But nope. There's a few floating islands and a never ending storm. But most the game is on the surface.
This made me sad. It was really cool that you could fly a bird to all these islands, so getting to fly that bird to major game zones would have been awesome! It also would have made the bird-flying way more significant. Instead, the bird becomes an unexciting chore. The sky has little going for it. Skyloft the town is pretty well developed with some fun secrets and interesting characters. But the rest of the sky is mostly empty space that takes waaay too long to fly around. And sadly, as far as I can tell, there's no warp feature like with the songs in Ocarina of Time. So I have to fly every where...it sucks.
See what I'm saying
I've gone on about nothing enough. Let's shut this down for now. The point I'm making is that the world is disconnected by load screens like OoT. Given this game is post the open world boom, not being more open is a bit of a crime. Wasn't Windwaker open world? So not having the whole game be in the sky, I think, was a missed opportunity and makes the game feel too old fashioned (too much like Ocarina of Time). But because the game is so disconnected and you're told exactly where to go 95% of the time, and most areas are inaccessible until the story wants you to go there, you don't get any of the discovery and sense of exploration of OoT. (Not enough like Ocarina of Time).
Because of this, the game doesn't feel like the kind of groundbreaking experience Zelda should be. But it also came out while Nintendo was struggling to keep up with the competition. So they often took "short cuts". I mean, the animation of Link climbing, especially when you press B is horrifyingly bad. It's like a non-artist put in a place holder animation and the bosses said, "Good enough, ship it."

Day 10 -part1
Wednesday 11th May 2022
This morning we were up and on the attack. We had a big day ahead of us. We quickly packed up the tent and got ourselves organised then headed down to the harbour. The wind was up today so we wanted to get in the water as soon as possible. Once we got the board and kite ready, we donned our wetsuits, in the bitter cold and headed in. After getting over the initial frozen ankles we had a blast. First Benoît spent a bit of time with me helping me get back the feelings and then I spent a bit of time trying to get up. After an hour I had completed one really successful ride, of about 50 meters! I was super happy with myself so decided to finish on a high and leave Benoît to his kiting. He kited for a bit longer but came in because the lines were a bit worn and big kite deflated. So we took it as a sign for a break. Plus it was starting to rain. Not ideal, we quickly backed up. Threw all our wet gear into the plastic boxes we had and then headed to the same cafe as yesterday morning for some coffee and cakes to warm us up. It was packed, apparently a very popular coffee shop, we managed to find a table that we shared with another traveling couple. They are based in Cambridge but are travelling here for a few weeks. It was nice to talk with some other travellers and share tips on the area. They told us about a few good climbing spots that they like and also a bit more about England in general. Apparently the further north you go the less sport climbing there is, so we are going to have to make the most of it while we are in the south. After our coffees and cakes we went to the kite shop to see if they could fix the lines on the kite. Apparently yes, so we spent a bit if time getting the organised. It took a while to get all the lines threaded but we got there in the end. Everything was wet, misty and the wind wasn’t going away. So instead of going back out kiting we instead headed to the jailhouse cafe. Another recommendation from our friend we meet each evening. So we headed up to the jail, through the gates and into the coffee shop, that not only has great views of the coastline (when it’s not completely fogged in) it is also run by the inmates (the good ones) as a sort of rehabilitation back into society program. So we had a second coffee there and spent a bit of time enjoying the dry indoors. I got out my art book and started a new drawing while Benoit worked on his blog (coming soon)! As the coffee shop closed up, the weather started lifting. Incredibly so too, all of a sudden it was clear blue skies and sunshine, no indication of the wet miserable weather we had all morning. So we decided to go have our showers at the sailing club before heading to check out a bouldering spot the couple in the first coffee shop told us about. The bouldering spot wasn’t anything incredible (well compared to fountainebleau - but then again nothing compares to bleau) the blouses were small and looked really difficult but honestly it didn’t matter to me, the views are stunning. I think we have found a little island of paradise here, it’s so small you can drive from top to bottom in 5 minutes, but there are thousands of climbing routes, great coffee shops, tolerated free camping, friendly locals, and you can kitesurf. We are definately going to be staying here a while. Each time we walk our on the coastline either the sheer cliffs or the rocky beaches I am blown away by its beauty. It’s honestly stunning, the photos do not do it justice. After our exploring the bouldering area walk we headed back up to our car, enjoyed a beer taking in the view and then headed back to our camp spot. Tonight we cooked a pesto pasta with extras. Rocket, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms - it was delicious. We also spent a decent amount of time trying to get all our gear dry. With humid conditions, not much space and kitesurf gear, it’s not the easiest to keep everything dry so while I was cooking Benoit spent a while hanging things and drying things. We got there in the end though.

A Sirens Call
🍋 fanfic
Pairing: Siren! Silco X reader
Gender neutral reader
Warning: Creampie, monster fucking, duel gentitialia, minor blood kink, bondage
In this Silco is a siren based off the ones in Greek mythology instead of the usual idea of them. But there are still elements of what is known
Tumblr media
"CAPTAIN! ROCKS AHEAD-!"
You heard from above, you grasped the steering wheel with a new found determination.
"BRACE YOURSELF, MEN!" With all your strength you spun the wheel, gritting your teeth.
The chip shook as it hit the harsh waters. Rocks skidding along the side as you cried out. Everyone was gripping onto something for their dear life. Some dangling dangerously by one hand as your boat crashed into the sandy shore ahead.
"EVERYONE ALIVE?!" you screamed, panting as you adjusted your head.
You heard a chrous of "alive" until one scream ripped through. A crew member popping his head through the gate with a panicked expression.
"WE GOT A LEAK!"
"ANYONE HURT?!" You pushed yourself off the wheel, jogging over to him.
"A few, Captain, but nothing serious - we'll need to repair the ship."
You nodded. Dusting off your hands as you ordered everyone off the boat. You counted them in your head as you watched them line up on the sand. Smiling when everyone was accounted for. You slid down the ladder, meeting your crew on the shore.
"We'll have to see what we can find, I need our strongest to divide between two groups - one to protect the ship and the other to hunt for wood, understood?"
"AYE CAPTAIN!" They all yelled, already aware of each others skills and strengths - easily dividing into groups. You waved off your brave men who went further onto the island.
A growing paranoia chewed at your gut. Fearing you'd all be stranded or worse, found by the wrong kind of company. This whole venture was already a risk and now your ship was ripped open! Every pirate knew it was dangerous to stay in one area for too long. It was only due time before a nation ship found or the horrors of the sea. You didn't even want to think of the dangers of the sky coming down to feast.
There was too many risks. You needed your ship back on its journey as soon as possible.
"You alright, captain?"
A hand came down on your shoulder. You jumped as you instinctively went to swing for whoever touched you. You stopped yourself seconds before you punched your trusted second hand. Sighing out a breath of relief.
"Grills, sorry, I was deep in thought."
"Exactly, that's why I'm worried."
A scoff mixed with a laugh escaped you. Turning to your second hand with hands on your hips.
"I just hope we can fix the ship soon, we can't stay here." You admitted, crossing your arms as you scanned the surrounding area.
"We'll get through this, we've been lucky so far."
"Let's hope this isn't the day it ends."
"Focus on the positives, captain, we can actually eat something other scraps."
He nudged your tense arm, grinning. You perked up at his words. Stomach growling at the mere thought of a proper meal. How long has it been since you and your crew have actually gotten to hunt and cook for actual food? Stopped by a newby city or town for supplies?
You've completely lost count of the days. It's been far too long.
"Oh? Did you find a fishing spot already?"
"Of course, I've found a nice cave around here with plenty of fish swimming through." He pointed over to it with his thumb.
"You're a life saver, Grills." You smiled.
It was a few hours since the search party, some of your men came back with sacks of fruits and coconuts. One dancing as he showed off the fairly large crab in his hand.
When you asked about wood, they said they've found the perfect spot but they'll need more time. Better supplies will be needed and it it'll take longer than expected to get enough. You frowned at the news but thanked them regardless. They ventured into the unknown and did not come back empty handed. Literally.
You were always thankful for your crews hard work.
The fire roared to life as you all sat around it. You devoured the fish in your makeshift bowl. Using half of a coconut as one. You were all starving. It became easy to ignore when you knew it was the only choice you had. But now? You were laughing as you had plenty to go around.
This island was a luxury rare to find. It made you feel slightly more at ease knowing you'll be spending longer here. But there was an annoying voice in the back of your head, fearing that there were others also enjoying it's luxuries. People will not be happy to see others taking part.
You needed to clear your head.
"Give this to Skipper, hes still young, he'll need plenty of food to grow." You nudged Grills, he looked up at you in confusion.
"You've finished, captian?"
"I've had my fill, I need to clear my head."
He handed you your gun, giving you a nod. Silently pleading you to stay safe. You tippped your hat as you kept a tight grip on your gun. Walking away from your crew and into the trees, the nearby cave calling for you.
You took in a deep breath, scanning the area before stopping. The beautiful waters below whispered promises of tranquility. You couldn't deny it. It was such a stunning blue. Like sparkling sapphires was melted down mixed in with crystals. You could see a few fish swim through but soon they swam away noticing your presence.
You began to strip. Folding your clothes near the edge until you were left bare. Only a necklace remained. It was a trophy; or atleast, you believed it to be. A shiny gold nugget you wrapped in fishing wire and kept tied around your neck with a leather rope. You found the nugget placed among other trinkets in your office. Slowly being given gifts by someone unknown.
You had your theories but you kept shaking them from your head. It would be impossible. Ridiculous. Unheard of.
But apart of you hoped they were from him.
You could remember it all so clearly. As you sank deeper into the pool, it cleared your mind. Let you focus on one striking memory. Your ship was more gorgeous around this time; still early in your career as a captain. A different crew other than a few you've still kept to this day. Your relationship with the sea was one of ignorance and pride.
You were young and stupid and allowed even dumber people on your ship. Which caused more issues than you wanted.
They shot down a poor siren. Probably only around 8 years old in human years. With chubby cheeks and a naive attitude towards the world. You missed her. They carelessly captured her without your word or knowing, wishing to surprise you. You, obviously, placed the girl in your cabin before shooting the bastard's.
You wouldn't tolerate such behaviour on your ship. Many grew to understand that over time. Even when you were younger, not fully aware of you respect you needed for the sea, you knew this was too much. She was only a child and they took delight in hurting her. It was revolting.
She was fearful of all of you. Whenever you tried to take care of her damaged wing she would claw and kick. Screeching like a mad man as she sobbed. It broke your heart. You decided it was best you gain her trust. After all, she was now stuck on a ship full of pirates. The same pirates that didn't stop those bastard's from hurting her. She had every right to be scared.
It took a few days but you were able to get her trust. She was looking after her wing herself when you were getting her use to you. It wasn't a bad job. Messy and unsure but did the job regardless. You nursed her until she demanded to go home, you were unsure as she wasn't fully healed. But she was desperate to get back to her family.
You learned her name was Jinx. She lived on an island with her father. It was a remarkable discovery to find Sirens could talk - we all knew they could sing but most siren calls were no more than noises toned into a melody. No words at all.
It was when you were sailing back to her island it where you met him. As soon as he saw jinx by your side he swooped down from the skies and put a claw to your throat. Jinx pleaded him not to hurt you, explaining what happened. He didn't trust you but listened to his daughter. He wouldn't hurt you but he wouldn't make your life easier.
He put scratches all over your ship and ripped a sail. It was a warning. If anyone ever did that again, he would do more than inconvince you. A sail could be repaired even if you were all rushed incase of harsh winds. And scratches were nothing. It didn't break your ship but this was your baby. Your first ship and she was already marked with hatred.
You only just caught his name. Jinx muttering an upset "silco stop" when he went to scoop her up. She could just give you a wave as he went flying off. You waved back but you weren't sure if she saw you.
Ever since that day he's been trailing your boat. That's when the gifts started appearing. You thought it was just your crew trying to please you. Knowing they'd get shot down and thrown overboard if they ever pulled a stunt like that.
But apart of you hoped it was that Siren. There was something about him that latched to your brain. He was.... beautiful but in a strange way.
You pulled yourself underwater. Hoping to get rid of your thoughts. You were an odd person to think a siren was beautiful. A sirens song could charm and turn your mind to mush. Causing you to be tricked and see your deepest desires but when that charm wasn't there? Most if not all agreed sirens were a hideous group of creatures.
Yet here you were, wishing one was after your affections.
When you let out a gasp. Bursting out of the water you screamed. Rope tightened around your body as you went upwards. You looked up to see you were caught in a broken fish net. It tangled around you awkwardly. Your hands tied above your head, legs dangling at different heights and spread apart and your torso had it twist around you.
This was beyond humiliating.
Suddenly, a deep rumble came from further into the cave. A voice you've never heard of tingling at your senses. You immediately recognized what was happening - of course. OF COURSE! you think of the damn things and now they appear!
You tried to focus on releasing yourself from the knots but it was futile. The more you twisted the tighter it became. The voice grew louder and louder until it engulfed your mind. Turning it into a fuzzy mess as you went limp.
Two eyes appeared from the darkness. The creature stalked closer to you, revealing himself in the light.
"S-Silco?"
The singing trailed. He jumped towards you, propping one leg on your thigh and the other in the net, leaning down to look at your face better.
It was him. It was the siren you've been thinking about.
"It's you." Was all you said. The singing stopped and your mind immediately became clear.
And there he was. Towering over you with a confused expression. "How?" He spat.
"I---" oh lord, how were you going to explain this? The last time he was up this close to you, he had to intent on killing you. How do you explain the way your heart skipped a beat whenever you remember those burning eyes?
Explain to him you've been crushing on him like you were a love stricken fool back in school. That you spent countless nights thinking about him in ways that would declare you insane. Touching yourself as you imagined his sharp teeth on your flesh.
And now here you are. Naked and tied up and faced with your oddest fantasy.
"You desire me." He spoke bluntly. Feeling no need to toy with you. Though, it seems he was talking more to himself than you.
"Perhaps."
That was the best you could give. Far too embarrassed to speak the truth. You moved your head back, looking away from him as you shifted your head. His eyes snapped towards your now exposed throat. Your breath caught in your throat as he leaned further down, trailing his tongue along your neck.
You squirmed as one hand grabbed the ropes keeping your hands bound whilst the other trailed down your body. Watching your back arch into his touch when his slender fingers brushed over your nipple. He added pressure, pinching and rolling it causing you to let out a moan. He went back to assaulting your neck as he gently bit down.
"Fuck-!" You hissed out as he adjusted his position, now able to bite down from your collar bone to your chest.
A warm liquid dripped from his love bites. You felt your heart clench as a small pit in your stomach began to churn. He lapped up your blood, with a moan.
His hand caressed your side as he finally lifted himself up. "Excited, are we?"
You were trembling already. Trying to spread your legs further in hopes he'll finally give it the attention it needs. He jumped down from your body, becaming eye height to your crotch. Grabbing your hips and pressed your sex to his lips.
"You taste sweeter than I expected."
Than expected?! "You-- you thought about me?"
A dumb question but your mind was turning to putty. Silco chuckled, licking his sharp teeth.
"I've done more than think about you, my sweet."
You gasped at the idea. Moaning as he licked up your arousal, sucking and kissing where he could. Finding every spot that made you scream. Your legs wrapped around his head as much as you could, keeping him close as he devoured you.
This couldn't be real. This had to be a dream. But if dreams could feel this good - you didn't want to wake up.
Your eyes rolled back as he put all his attention on your most sensitive part. His tongue felt so long and warm against you. Your body jerking as you felt something prod at you. Your head was thrown back as he began to thrust a finger inside you. Working you open until he could fit two.
He hummed against you. Only moving away enough so you could hear him. "I don't think two fingers will be enough."
There was a smug pride in his voice. Your cheeks went red as you tried to imagine how big he could be. After all, it's not like he had his parts swinging about. Most believed Sirens were sexless.
He added a third finger, you bit back the pain. Even if your craziness nights of pleasure, you've never added more than two. He kissed and licked at your sex again. Refocusing your mind as you clenched around him. Your climax crashing upon you as you screamed out his name.
"Silco- please - I'm ready." You moaned out.
The siren moved away much to your delight and dismay. His eyes trailed to the ropes keeping you suspended. He let out a disapproving hum. Before you knew it, you could falling into his arms. You threw off the rope and clung to him.
Finally, you could touch him. His breath hitches as you ran your palm along his skin. He nuzzled against your cheek as you kissed his jaw. You made sure to avoid his gills as you kissed and nibbled. Leaving your own hickies.
He laid you down on a mat of leaves, dried seaweed and fabric. You smiled up at him as he towered over you. Taking in view of his own work. Trailing his one functioning eye down your body. It was a crystal blue like the waters you was caught in. Meanwhile his other eye was a raging storm of red and orange melted into a pit of black.
He was breath taking.
His black feathers were ruffled as he stared you down. You trailed your hands around his body. feeling the scales reaching down from his elbows to the tip of his fingers. Two fins on his side's and one on his back. Just like a shark.
That's when your hand stopped at his crotch. There was a slit now visible to you. You looked up at him with a hesitant touch.
"Go on, no need to be shy." He chuckled. Guiding your hand as your fingers pressed against his folds. Cheeks glowing when you felt how warm and wet he was.
"Excited, are we?" You mocked his earlier words.
He just scoffed. His gaze gentle as he shivered under your touch. You jumped back slightly when two cocks peeked out from his folds. HE HAD TWO?! You didn't stop your rubbing, kissing the head of one of them. He panted as they finally came out. they were vaguly humaniod, the structure was the same but his tip was had a rounded point. Below it was pudgy and thick with small rounded spikes on the bottom. They curved to make a slight V shape.
He was BIG.
"Whoa..." you couldn't stop staring. You felt as if you shouldn't be staring so much. Was it rude to stare? Oh god what if he thinks you're not interested anymore?
"They look.... delightful."
You cringed at yourself. Screaming internally as you saw him shift above you.
"Are you going to pleasure me or will you keep laying there like a dying fish."
You nodded. Scrambling up as you laid him on his back. Laughing to yourself as you found a nice spot between his legs, resting on your stomach. You slowly run your hands along his shafts. Getting a sense for them as you tried to figure out how this was going to work.
You wrapped your lips around one, taking in as much as you could whilst you grasped the other one. Trying to sync your hand movements with your head. You bopped your head up and down as you clumsily jerked him off. Despite it all, he was squirming beneath you, biting back his noises as he tried not to move. His hips were tense from trying not to jerk.
You moved off his dick with a wet pop. Slowing down your hand. He made a strangled noise of protest.
"Do as you please, you don't need to hold back." Was all you said before you went back to work.
He slowly became less tense underneath you. Letting his body move as he fucked into your mouth. He let out a groan as he grabbed your head, pushing you further down on his cock.
"That's it- you can do it." He breathed out, watching you.
You did your best to swallow around it as you sucked, moving your hand faster as you finally got into a steady rythm. Picking up your pace until you gagged. You took a deep breath before going back down, nose in the soft tuff of feathers he had as a happy trail.
Silco let out another strangled noise as he gripped the floor beneath him.
"You're doing so well-" he hissed out. Panting as he tried to keep up with your eager speed.
He saw white before he could even realize what was happening. Gasping as he went limb. You choked as you swallowed greedily, going to his other leaking cock to suck it. Milking him dry as you placed both of his tips in your mouth, sucking and licking until he was cumming again.
He pulled you off, sitting up as he grabbed at you. Yanking you up onto his lap. You squealed as you felt his cocks rub against you.
"You-" he took in one deep breath as a grin began to crack on his lips. "You are a minx."
"Thank you." You smiled, placing a kiss on his lips.
He shook his head. "I'm not done with you yet."
Before you could even ask he had you on the floor again, his lips crashing against yours as he groaned. You yelped as you felt something push through your entrance. You looked down to see his cock slipping into you.
"I can take both." You said without thought. Your lips trembling as you looked down at them.
"Oh? Can you, now? Do you really want to test that?"
Whilst his voice was mocking, he was waiting for you. There was a genuine question to it - you thought more about it. You could feel yourself clench around him at the mere idea of it, whimpering as you nodded.
"Words, captain, I need you to speak."
"I can take both - please fuck me with your cocks."
He let out a deep purr. Pulling out before he lined himself back up. Taking hold of both as he slowly pushed them into you. You shook and hissed as you clawed at his arms and back. Trying to steady your breath as you felt yourself be completely stretched.
Silco was gentle. Slowing down and keeping still when he noticed you struggling. He waited on your words to move. Doing small thrusts to ease you further along.
"So warm-" he muttered to himself. In his own world as he focused on his thrusts.
You moaned as you finally felt his hips meet yours. You were so full. Completely stuffed with his cocks. You've never felt his full in your life. No lover has ever made you feel this way. You always had an itch for more but no one could fulfill it, no matter their attempts.
But silco. He completed you.
Once you gave him the 'okay' he began thrusting. Holding your hips up as he pounded into you. His breathing became shaky, feeling you clench around him.
"You're perfect - you take me so well - my perfect mate."
His words was stumbling out of him now. Mindlessly rambling as he fucked you. You wrapped your legs around his waist and grabbed his shoulders. Keeping yourself grounded as your head became dizzy. You couldn't focus on anything other than how good you feel. The wet squealching coming between you only heightened your feelings.
Your eyes were completely rolled back as he picked up the pace. A brutal and merciless speed as he buried his head into your neck.
His name was the only thing you could remember. It rolled off your tongue with every moan.
"Mine." He growled in your ear, moving your legs from his waist to your chest. The new angle making him reach much deeper inside you.
"I'm yours-!" You moaned back, feeling your second orgasm build up.
His thrusts became more sloppy as he kissed you once again. Both of your moans being muffled and engulfed by each others mouths. Your back arched as you came. HARD. breathless as you was left staring at the ceiling as your legs twitched and shook.
It wasn't long before he was cumming. You didn't think you get feel more full yet here you were. He shivered as he leaned against you. Slowly pulling out until you were left empty. You could feel his cum drip down from your hole as you laid there.
"That- that was.... amazing" you panted.
Before silco could respond there were screams from outside. Not too far from the cave. "CAPTAIN!! CAPTAIN?!!"
"Seems my crew miss me." You chuckled. Still trying to catch your breath.
Silco helped you stand, as your legs trembled. Leading you back to the pool of water. Washing you as he pressed kisses down your body. You put your clothes back on, cursing at all the buckles and layers.
"Come with me." You said, looking at him.
"They'll shoot me."
"I won't let them."
He knew you were telling the truth. Its what drew him to you in the first place, the fact you killed your own men without hesitant to save his daughter. Your compassion and ruthlessness. It made him fall for you.
And so, he stalked behind you as you waved to your crew. They all rushed towards you with panicked yells.
"Captain-! The girl! She's with the other men!"
The girl? Wait - if Silco is here then that means- you ran forward with the siren quick behind you. You stumbled back to your camp as you threw your arms open.
"JINX!" you cried out.
She whipped her head, sprinting towards you. Flapping her wings as she leapt into your arms.
"CAPTAIN!" she beamed. You squeezed her tight, making sure to avoid her wings as she nuzzled your cheek.
Silco stood by you, placing one hand on his daughters hair. Rigid in his movements. You all sat by the fire. Your crew questioning where you were. Your cheeks flushed as you scratched the back of your neck.
"Just sight seeing- I ran into him whilst in the cave."
Jinx was sitting in your lap but leaned against her father. Chewing on a fish that was left over from your crews dinner.
"Why are you here?" She asked, innocently.
"We were sailing further out before we got ship wrecked "
"How did they find you?" Silco asked to the little girl. His glare fierce as he looked at your men.
"When they were chopping down trees, I fell out and Grills recognized me."
She pointed to your second hand with a smile. He waved back at her. You turned to silco, sheepishly smiling.
"Sorry for cutting down your territory, we didn't know, we just need some wood and we'll be able to fix the ship."
"Then you'll leave." He muttered, venom in his voice.
"Yes.... we'll leave."
He didn't seem happy with your response. Jinx noticed his expression and immediately perked up.
"Let us come with you! I want to be a pirate!"
You chuckled, ruffling her hair. "you can but only if your dad says so." You both looked at him with a large smile.
He looked between you two and then at your crew. Sighing he nodded his head. Jinx immediately jumped up and began ordering people around.
You laughed as you leaned against silcos shoulder. This was the beginning of a very aventful journey.
